Outside dining in the middle of big buildings. Atmosphere, people and food all great. We had Mac and Cheese, which was very cheesy and creamy. I had the blacken chicken with fries. I wish it had a little more "blacken", but it was still amazing. The onion poppy bun was something that could easily accompany just about any meal. It was awesome., especially will a little crisp from the pan sear. They do have indoor, but we couldn't pass up the opportunity to sit outside. Big thank you to our server, Maria. If you found my review helpful, please give it a thumbs up.

Scarlet Oak Restaurant & Bar definitely gets my approval. I received great service, my waiter knew exactly what each menu item was and gave his personal recommendations. The restaurant has a more intimate feel that gives off a cool vibe. Drinks where solid and food was delicious. I even had a little ice cream cake for dessert. Nice place to stop by if you’re near the yards SE.

So far, food is always pretty good at Scarlet Oak! The espresso martini was on point. However, the service has been quite slow from my experiences. Even when the restaurant was almost empty it took forever to track down our server to order, ask for the bill, etc. Definitely recommend Scarlet Oak if you are in the Navy Yard area; however, it may take some time.

We tried at the restaurant for the first time and loved the food and the service. The cheese pizza was totally awesome, so definitely try that out. The pasta was good, but the chicken was probably a little overcooked as it was very hard, but we were so hungry, so we ate it all. The shrimp volcano sushi was good, but I think it missed some sauces inside the sushi. The falafel wrap was awesome. The server was pretty friendly and gave us insights for our order. Overall, it's a good place for food, so definitely try this out.

This place has a good ambience, the prices are decent and food was pretty good. We ate on the outside patio on a Saturday and it wasn't crowded (no baseball game). Good for a first date, date night out or girls night out vibes.

Steak had no flavor, needed salt lol...but the wings and fries were pretty good...home made fries btw...and the turkey club was great, real turkey pieces not slices, and the flavor was amazing...all in all, each plate was good portion sizes also! Waitress was sweet and laid back, easy to talk to and very honest about the menu which was much appreciated to not waste my time on the tea as it is a black tea not like brewed or sun tea...

This is one of those locations that is made great by the staff. They take the time to recognize locals (in what can be an area invaded by tourists) and offer personalized attention. This makes for an appealing atmosphere whether you're there for brunch or just a drink. The food is fine but nothing outstanding in the neighborhood... But as I said, the draw of Scarlet Oak is the staff and atmosphere.

The food was great and the portions were really big and filling. We arrived a bit early but they let us in.
