Wow! Saw this restaurant featured on an IG story, and it lives up to the expectations.
The Spot is only 10-15 mins from The Strip with FREE and Ample parking. I was even able to find parking in the shade, (late afternoon shadow from a nearby building). We called ahead for a party of 10 with kids, and our table was ready at arrival.
Our server was bright and easy going, taking our orders for drinks and entrees with ease. Of course we ordered their famous Cheesey Garlic Monkey Bread for the appetizer and WOW, it really is a must order. We ordered 2 but it was such a generous appetizer that 1 was really enough for the 10 of us. It comes scored and baked with tons of gooey cheese and garlic, and a dipper cup of marinara, ranch, and chimichurri. We definitely saved the 2nd one for to go since our entrees would be out shortly.
I had the beer battered fish and chips and as you can see in the photo, it was of epic proportions! The Crunch and Taste was excellent and the texture of the fish better than I've had in other places. I don't recall what kind of fish it is, but it was as big as the tray and having even shared it, I ended up taking 1/4 of the filet and fries home since I had gotten so full with the appetizer and sampling some of the entrées. Both the fries and filet were great even the next day, reheated in an air fryer @400 for 5mins.
We also ordered their Steak chimichurri and potatoes, which came with a side of Asian Broccoli. The steak was flavorful and was cooked to a medium rare. I really enjoyed sampling this plate. I was told they spend hours cooking that steak, I'm guessing sous vide, before the final sear. The potatoes are smashed and crisped and were amazing. The broccoli is good if you like green veggies. The chimichurri was a great addition.
We also ordered the smash burger and mac. The kids enjoyed the cheeseburgers very much but the mac was a little too fancy for them. They said it had a Smokey flavor. I sampled the Mac and found the texture to be smooth like velvet and it did have a bit of a smoked flavor. I thought it was good but wondered how a sharp cheddar or white cheddar mac would have been with that same smoothness. Maybe a light drizzle of bbq sauce would have rounded out the smokey taste a bit. You can't go wrong with fries.
Overall, everything was a great experience. Bring an appetite because the portions are generous and decently priced. There is even an arcade in case the kids need something to do while waiting. The bathrooms were clean and fresh. However, we did not have to wait long for the food and drinks, since it was not busy when we arrived. Highly recommend The Spot. It was a stress-free experience, away from the strip, everything was clean and the AC was fantastic. Huge free parking lot with ample spaces, family friendly and has plenty of space to spread your wings.
Someone also ordered the blue drink but I can't comment on it, since I neglected to sample it, but it sure looks like a fun drink in that tiki cup.
We hope to return to The Spot LV for our next visit to Vegas.
