LAs New Caravan Swim Club Cuts a Stunning Summer Figure on the Westside | Eater LA

"Planned as the lobby-level restaurant at Hotel June, Scenic Route should open next month and will focus on natural wine, craft beer, salads, burgers, tacos, and similar casual fare." - Farley Elliott

Scenic Route is exactly what a hotel café should be—bright, easy, and delicious. The service is friendly and efficient and the food feels fresh and thoughtful. The squash blossom quesadilla hit the spot. It’s also a great place to get a little work done. Plenty of natural light, comfortable seating, and a mellow energy.

Google
cute interior! yum beetroot muesli smoothie! matcha & service lackluster, brunch in LA is expensive & there’s a ton of cute cafes ~10min drive from the hotel so might as well venture out, but fine for a quick bite if you’re on the go

Awesome grab and go café in the lobby of Hotel June. I had the LA wrap and a delicious matcha latte — would highly recommend!

Great service, solid breakfast. Really easy nook also to grab some shade and do a little work during the day.

The most expensive espresso ($6) turned out to be also one of the worst you can have in the area. It comes with free eye roll when you ask about the unexpected price and the answer you get is “it’s a normal LA price!”. At least pour me a decent shot!

Yelp
Nope. I don't like to leave one star reviews, but this one is a challenge. I had a dining credit to use from my stay at Hotel June, so I figured I'd get a breakfast sandwich for breakfast, and then order a breakfast burrito to take with me for lunch on the plane ride home (and use any remaining credit for muffins or whatever). I got the breakfast sandwich to go, and when I got back up to my room to eat it, it was a greasy disaster. "CALI BREAKFAST SANDWICH brioche bun, scrambled eggs, applewood pork bacon, cheese, tomato, smashed avocado $17" (plus tax and wellness charge, of course) It was so greasy - literally, did they dunk the outside of the bun in butter? There was *one* slice of bacon. It came with roasted peppers and potatoes, which for me is a problem as I can't eat bell peppers. If I had known, I would've asked for anything else on the side. I had two bites of the sandwich and gave up - it made me feel so queasy. :( Once I was packed up and ready to check out, I went back to the restaurant to use the rest of the credit. Unfortunately, I felt so sick to my stomach from the two bites of the sandwich. I actually brought it down with me to "send it back", and to be fair, the manager was working at that time and apologized profusely for the trouble. She offered to replace it with anything, but I just didn't want to chance anything else on my queasy stomach. I did end up using the rest of my credit up for muffins to go, and we decided a fruit bowl might be a good idea. I ordered that to go and checked out of the hotel. Honestly, the fruit bowl is what saved this from a one star review. I appreciated that it was a good variety and quantity of fruit, including some papaya and jackfruit (I think?) and dragonfruit. I enjoyed this on my flight back.

Yelp
Staying at Hotel June for a couple days so we tried out the Scenic Route restaurant for breakfast. Pricey but good food. Instead of getting the $17 breakfast sandwich, I ordered a croissant, egg and avocado a la carte and put them together myself. Latte was decent. My friends had the breakfast sandwich and the breakfast tacos and said both were very delicious. Super chic, casual dining.

Yelp
Kids meal for $12 is a rip off.. 5 slices of fruit, 1 sausage or 3 bacon plus 1 small egg..

Yelp
With your stay at the hotel, you get free coffee in the lobby before 9:00 a.m. That said, don't make the same mistake I did and order any food off the coffee menu. $4.50 gets you a Costco croissant, which is a complete ripoff considering how mediocre the croissant tastes and the fact that Costco is just down the street 10 minutes away and you get get a pack of 12 croissants there for $6.

Yelp
The Breakfast sandwich was very average. and the side of Siracha was off brand (not good) Also everything seemed overpriced.. Ambiance was nice but it is in a hotel lobby of a hotel.
