This art space is stunningly beautiful! The staff are friendly and true professionals, creating a wonderful connection with the artist and guests. Schack center also hosts excellently organized events, engaging exhibitions, and interactive experiences. Many thanks and best wishes for continued success!

Google
I visited last summer and loved the art pieces! They have a cute gift shop with lots of local art for sale. The atmosphere in the art gallery is great! I can’t wait to visit again.

Google
What a great place. They offer many classes from kids to adults, I took college classes in glass blowing, and my daughter just got to help make a glass and get a hot shop experience. They are truly a great community resource that I will always recommend people use. Some of the artists I have worked with are absolutely amazing.

Google
This is a wonderful gallery with a glass blowing station to watch artist blow glass. The sculptures on the outside are brethetaking as well

Google
Cool classes, great space. I love watching the glass blowers. I come here on weeknights to take jewelry making classes. Bonnie is a great instructor. Only complaint is the parking is mostly street only. Not a problem after 6 pm.

Google
We went and had a wonderful time looking at the art and watching live glass blowing featured on “blown away”. For some reason google takes you to their back door. Go to the front on the street not the alley.

Lisa K

Google
So many beautiful pieces of art from many different artists. All for sale displayed in a gallery setting and in a gift shop. In the back you can watch glass blowing artisans. Many classes available.

Google
Incredible place. Very ecclectic gallery, local artists. Classes available - drawing, painting, glass blowing, silver smithing. Nice giftshop. Free!

Yelp
I drive to the Schack Art Center once a year for their Fresh Paint art festival, but my favorites are almost always inside the art center itself. This year, their summer art events are "Art of the Garden" at the main gallery and "Cambium Layers II" at the mezzanine gallery. They have events throughout the year, rotating in special exhibits, classes, summer camps, and more. I chatted with the staff working there, and they are always very personable. While the Fresh Paint art festival is relatively modest with the length of two city blocks, the exhibit inside the center makes the drive worthwhile. If I was more of an art creator, I would definitely look into their classes. They have an impressive array from ceramics and clay to digital to glass, and classics like painting, sculpture, and woodcarving. The facility looks new and is very clean. I would recommend them both to shop for art (at front gift shop or during an exhibit period) and for their classes.

Yelp
Cool art center, don't come often but would if were a local. Clean facility, friendly staff and spacious inside. Also, think they offer other services like stay and paint for seniors, etc.

Yelp
This place is a community gem. I have been learning stained glass under Anita Black for a few years now. She is a wonderful teacher and knows her craft well. People drive up from Seattle for her advanced classes. Just about to book a fused lantern party with her this month for 5 friends. Great group activities! I have also taken glass blowing classes with Max and Eric as instructors. Wonderful people and great teachers! Can't say enough about the programs there. Hope the stained glass and other programs continue on for years to come!

Yelp
This is such a fun place to visit with beautiful art! We drive by weekly and they change the art in the windows quite often. We've been inside a few times and love looking around. I have a couple pumpkins and a Christmas ornament from the gift shop that are absolutely beautiful. While I haven't taken a class, I know they offer them and I'd really love to take one at some point. The ladies inside have always been nice and we love chatting with them a little bit about the different pieces they're selling at the time. Go check out some of the pieces from local artists!

Yelp
We stopped in today to see the local artwork and all the beautiful blown glass that we've heard about. I'm so glad we did. It was a nice thing to do amongst all the covid closures. We felt safe and were greeted with a warm welcome and information by an employee named Megan. She was so helpful and explained a lot to us. It was clean and well organized and we enjoyed looking at the quilt display and shopping for a gift. Lots of beautiful local art to look at. I Will love to come back and see more exhibits and maybe participate in a class. Fun watching the glass blowing through the big window. It's so fascinating.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem in Everett. It's gallery is small but has a wonderful selection of art. The center is welcoming and not stuffy like other art Messina or galleries. I attend an event for their latest holiday show. The focus is colored pencil art. The drawings are amazing. It's baffling how the artists could create such realistic and beautiful pieces using pencils. The gallery also has other art work on display including amazing glasswork, pottery and jewelry to name a few. So much local talent. Take time to walk through the small gift shop. There's a lot of great items at reasonable prices. I'm planning on returning to buy some unique Christmas gifts. We really enjoyed watching the artists in the glass blowing studio. There's a large window so you can watch them. It's free to walk around. They had donations box at the entry. They also have art classes here that look fun. I recommend stopping by this wonderful community gallery.

Yelp
First time visit to the Schack Art Center on 6/19/16, specifically to see the Chuck Close exhibit. Last time I've seen his work was decades ago at the Henry Art Gallery on the UW campus. This was worth the Sunday drive to downtown Everett. This exhibit is ongoing until early September, but it also featured art work from Everett-area schools. The Schack Art Center itself has a gift shop and dedicated artspaces for their various classes and programs plus is adjacent to live/work lofts for artists.

Yelp
Great spot to find local art, glass art & even crafts. I especially look forward to the sale in the spring. Excellent variety & outstanding quality- wonderful place to find interesting gifts too

Yelp
Wifey bought us a glass blowing class and we had a great time. Meghan checked us in and is so nice and personable. Eddie took us one at a time and let us choose colors and what piece we wanted to make. His relaxed attitude and conversation made it so easy to listen and follow along with glass at thousands of degrees moving around. I made a glass ball ornament (no blowing for me, stupid covid. Wifey made a candy cane. Entertaining, educational and a good time. Rare to find these days. Well worth the price and a keepsake to boot. Check out the store on the way in. Cool place!! Nice people!!

Yelp
I just discovered this place a couple of months ago and have taken a stained glass class and basketry class there and the instructors and classes are wonderful. I am going to continue taking classes in both (and anything I can fit in my schedule). It's in the beautiful downtown area and near the waterfront, so you can make a day out of it if you have the time.

Yelp
Schack is located in downtown Everett and is a really lovely gallery space that has a museum-like feel to it. Each time I've been there, there have been three exhibits running simultaneously: a large one in the big downstairs space with its wide-open room and high ceiling; and then two smaller ones upstairs, one of which is typically works created by kids and teens. Schack gets very good major exhibits; for example, most recently they had a series of Guy Anderson originals, mostly massive oils on cardboard, many dating back to the 1970s. Upstairs featured works by a collective of women printmakers from around the Skagit Valley. In addition, there is a gift shop up front and a glass-blowing studio on the first floor that has had glass artists at work every time I've been there; it's fun to stand at the large viewing window and watch them do their thing. Admission is free for some exhibits, not all, so check ahead of time.

Yelp
We brought our daughter here on our own several weeks ago and also joined her class on their field trip today. The staff here is really helpful when you have questions and they were quite organized throughout the day when they had multiple schools come through for a field trip. Each group was separated into different areas so that everyone got a chance to get a tour of the art gallery. Then each class got to make their own artistic prints that they got to bring back to school. The art pieces are nicely organized and plenty of room to move around. When there is glass blowing going on you get to view how they make these intricate pieces behind a glass window. It's great to stop by the with the family and check out what's new in the gallery. There's also a small gift shop for souvenirs as well.

Yelp
Checked out a graffiti gallery they hosted earlier this year, and I was extremely impressed with the venue itself. They did a great job organizing everything and making us feel safe during the pandemic. The bathrooms were clean, the classrooms were large, and I enjoyed being to see people work on their art through the windows. Highly recommended for anyone coming to the Everett area to swing by and check out.

Yelp
I didnt know this was here, until I signed up to take a class and was amazed to find a whole new building at the address given. Apparently its kinds of new, with apartments up above it. Free street parking. Hot glass shop, and other rooms to take classes. Took a flame torch bead making class and was quite impressed with the facility. Its a great location and defintely brings something much needed to Everett. Upcoming classes look fantastic, I am sure I will be frequenting here as the years go on. My instructor was great. There are tons of bathrooms. Lots of art on display, a gift shop. Seems like they are hoping to do lots of events at this location as well, we stumbled across some kind of holiday craft fair. I am sure I will be back here many times. Glad to have it in the neighborhood.

Yelp
This little museum hit the spot when I needed a little but not too much art. I went for a recent exhibit -- though the artist slips my mind -- and it was just fantastic. Really, the perfect little room of exploration while otherwise exploring downtown Everett. Bottom line: Check it out!

Yelp
Everett has a beautiful new art space and gallery! -Sunlight beams through an all glass entry. -The gallery showcases original works by local artists. -An open hot shop allows you to witness glass artists at work. The art center offers classes too! Visit their website to learn more about glass, fiber arts, silversmithing, drawing, painting, and more. Working artists can even rent studio space. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
I love this place. Hit the glass pumpkin festivities. I took the blow your own pumpkin class last Sunday. The staff is so friendly and my pumpkin came out great. They have a lit of other classes, which I plan to check out. Go blow pumpkin

Yelp
First I would like to thank Michelle at the front desk as well as all the other staff that welcomed me and my senior citizen group with open arms. Seeing the guest blower was a huge treat for us, then to see him in the newspaper the following day made it special all over again. The exhibits are breathtaking. The classrooms also have artwork on the walls which is nice to see as well. Even down the corridor to the restroom was decorated with artwork as well. Very tastefully done. This is a hidden gem that all should take the time to visit. There are no pushy salespeople. They just want you to enjoy the art and the environment.

Yelp
I never leave reviews, but I felt like I needed to.My husband and I at a cafe this afternoon and strolled across the street to look at the art for sale. We walked to the door and the girl at the counter gave us a disapproving, annoyed look. She continued to do whatever it what she was doing at the counter. She didn't say hello, can I help you with anything, or even any eye contact. I was extremely uncomfortable and turned off by her rudeness. I have never been in any sort of shop where somebody has had such poor customer service or such a disrespectful attitude. We walked around the the shop and still didn't hear a hello or can I help you with anything. So incredibly rude. We headed towards the door to leave and still, nothing was said to us. Definitely not purchasing anything from there in the future due to this employee.

Yelp
Beautiful space. Current exhibit "Marita Dingus and Hoa Hong" is what brought us in while traveling for work from CO and was well worth the stop. So many interesting and amazing exhibits. Added bonus, high-school art exhibit was astonishing. Both left us speechless. You can tell Schack and Snohomish County schools really take pride in their students work. I would recommend this gallery for anyone in the area regardless of the exhibit.

Yelp
Loved the gallery! I attended one of Schack's Art Docent events last week and had a great time. All of the instructors were fabulous! The price was right ($20 per person or $100 per school) and all the materials were provided. Overall, it was a great place to unwind the mind with a group of girlfriends, talk art and complimentary hors d'oeuvres! Our school brought 11 Art Docents and left with a toolbox full of ideas and inspiration.

Yelp
I have taken several community art classes at Schack, and loved all of them. My favorite teacher is Jackie Cort, she makes art making fun, playful and encourages creativity in all her students. 'Let GO!' is her favorite phrase, and she gently creates a space and a journey to make that happen. Her kind advice, quality tools and paints, her wealth of experience and her gentle way make this a terrific experience for any one that says, "Oh, I don't paint." Just wait, you will!

Yelp
Who knew? The Chuck Close exhibit is wonderful. We also watched the glass blowing in progress. We will stop by more often now.

Yelp
I haven't taken a class here yet but I'm so excited for the space. Beautiful building with classrooms, a glass work studio plus gallery space with rotating art (really cool, interesting art every time I've stopped by). Plus a gift shop with locally made items in a huge range of prices. I can't wait to take a class at Schack!

Yelp
I love the Schack. I love what it brings to Downtown Everett, and I love what it offers those living nearby. My primary involvement with the center so far has been taking advantage of their classes. In the last 4 months I have either registered for or completed three. Each one I have participated in turned out to be a good value for the money I spent. I walked away with new skills, and some really cool projects to show for it. I think they do a really good job offering a wide variety of different media - right now the only thing I can think of that they're lacking is pottery. Thankfully there are other great studios nearby that fill that need. I am really looking forward to my upcoming class in June (lino-cut) and can't wait to see what else I discover there in the months to come.

Norma M.

Yelp
Quality art & a good variety of exhibits and art styles. If the current exhibit isn't your thing, don't worry - there's another one soon. Chuck Close was superb, Tuskeegee Airmen was very interesting and the current exhibit is a mixed media lover's dream. Friendly people work there. I particularly like the new bench for watching a video in a classroom on the 2nd floor instead of standing in front of it and having people mill around you looking at the exhibit. A very nice improvement! I go here often and have never been disappointed. It's a lovely, versatile space. So easy compared to Seattle museums.

Yelp
FREE tween and teen art class nights once a month on Fridays. I've known about it for a little over a year, and I was waiting for my daughter to be old enough to attend (13 and up). The atmosphere was clean and laid back. It seems like the kids get they're in on something great. A very safe and welcoming place for teens to explore or discover their creativity. They have all kinds of art classes. Worth a stop in on a business lunch to walk through their eclectic gallery, gift shop, and see glass being blown for free. Now, keep in mind Everett can be shady, BUT, GOOD FOR THEM for bringing GOOD and night time use into historic downtown. It's so sad to see beautiful but vacant historic buildings around this art campus. I hope they have many community events to come.

Yelp
SAC has great art for sale and offers classes in many art forms. The front staff are less than friendly, which struck me as odd. It would behoove them to think of folks walking thru the door as potential customers / donors.

L B.

Yelp
My son took a drawing class which was fun and a good learning experience for him. The instructor was patient and was great with all the kids. Given that, I was excited to take a beginning watercolor class - although it was with a different instructor. Boy was I disappointed. Even though it was a beginner class, the instructor expected that you already had knowledge about mixing paints and other specifics. He had a belittling attitude that was off putting. I wasn't the only one having a bad experience, since the person next to me whispered "there's only 4 of us in this class, so I shouldn't feel so lost." It was so uncomfortable, I didn't return after the first class. I contacted the director with a list of specific concerns but she refused a refund. She was going to send a small gift certificate but that was 2 weeks ago and it has never arrived. The gift shop is fun and I love to support local artisans, but I would not take another class there.
