I will go with the good things first. The location was pretty close to amsterdam centraal as we don’t live in amsterdam and find it tedious to drive there, the restaurant was spacious and well lit and the concept of their open kitchen adds to it’s charm. The wait staff were attentive as well. They have good selection of german wines too. The food was good except we didn’t really like the dessert. We opted the chef’s menu which is the 4 course meal ( maybe we should have opted for the a la carte one instead ) the dessert we got was a sponge cake with ice cream and some poached pear with crumbled bits. The crumbled bits was nice, the pear a little overcooked and it was underwhelming. The combination of the sponge cake and ice cream was off. The sponge cake was dry as well. So that was a bit of a dissapointment. The plating of the food could use a little bit more artistry considering the place is not a cheap eat.

A really pleasant place for a good dinner. A little bit more on the high end with the prices, but the dishes are really well put together and the portions are quite generous. It is a bit more of a lesser known spot so it’s not overly crowded or touristic. Would recommend :)) PS: the complimentary sourdough bread is really nice too.

They have a great terrace especially when the weather is nice. You can start with a drink and few snacks on the terrace with a great view. Dining happens indoors which one of the biggest places I have seen for a fine dining restaurant. They offer more of a “casual” fine dining experience. It’s very welcoming, service is really good, and has a very spacious dining area. We had the a la carte option, since we wanted to choose our dishes ourselves. I had the watermelon salad, lobster and the entrecôte later on(which I don’t have the picture of); everything was super delicious. Everything was super delicious. They have a germany based wine menu, which they do a good job with recommendations matching your food. I think the place is towards the expensive place in the spectrum, but they do offer good food, wine and service. At the end we had dessert wine and cheese, which I liked the match. Highly recommend the place. (If you go all pre-drinks, 3 course meal+1 matching wine, dessert wine+cheese; you end up around +-300€ for 2 people )

A trendy restaurant with some creative ideas and good execution. It is casual and cozy but also enough of a fine dining destination to make you want to return for a new experience the next time. The German wines are excellent and pair well with the light dishes. Staff is young and friendly though they rotate around in a rather amusing chaos that reminds me of a casual izakaya in Tokyo.

Hands down one of the best dining experiences you can have. The surprise menu is absolutely phenomenal - every course is a revelation, perfectly executed with creative flavors that just work. The wine pairings are expertly chosen and elevate the whole experience. But what really makes this place special is the staff. They're passionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about making your evening memorable. It's not just a meal, it's a whole evening experience from start to finish. The kind of place where you lose track of time because you're so absorbed in the moment. Book well in advance and prepare to be blown away. This is what fine dining should be.

I loved this restaurant. Local products, Dutch cuisine elevated and fresh seasonal dishes. We didn’t order anything specifically and the chef made for us the menu. I enjoyed a lot being surprised and this place has changed my idea of Dutch food, when made with love it’s definitely really good! I will definitely come back and I have already recommended this restaurant to family and friends.

Outstanding experience at the great harbor in Amsterdam. Have to compliment on their professional personnel who paid much attention to all guests but weren’t intrusive. We had peppers, lobster tail and big grilled seabass. The lobster was fresh and delicious, with nice creamy sauce. Seabass was quite big (800g) but kept its delicious taste and wasn’t overloaded with spices or anything. Were surprised by their selection of wines and friendly prices (6-9 euro per glass). They serve German wines only, so pay attention if you like it. Finished with a small tarteletter with raspberry. Great atmosphere.

Once more a fantastic dinner Edit: Updated from 4 to 5 stars.Second time we went here was significantly better (and more fun) Old: Was expecting better for this price level. Don't get me wrong the food tasted really good all the German wines were excellent. I was just missing the sizzle and creativity in the dishes. It wasn't in the taste and not in the products used, just think that at other restaurants in Amsterdam for the same price you can expect to get more creativity and flair in the presentation and overall service. In a sense the overall German theme was reflected in the dishes and the service as it felt reserved and conservative.
