Schlossberg-Homburg GmbH

Whilst on a trip from the UK to Munich our car developed a fault which meant it had to go to a local garage for repair. A lovely local person who stopped when we broke down recommended this hotel and wow were we impressed. Not only were we able to just turn up and get a room, the staff were so accommodating. We ended up staying for 3 nights. Wonderful friendly staff, lovely clean and modern room and the terrace is a perfect place to sit, drink a cocktail and look out over the city. I would highly recommend this hotel and it will now be our preferred stop when travelling through Germany in future. Thank you to all the staff that made our stay so lovely.

This hotel gives the impression it does not particularly like non German speaking visitors ( that's the best way I can put it )||We are seasoned travelers and have stayed in countless hotels at different levels of luxury all over the world. For us, it's about the experience, which usually means the team at the hotel. This establishment fails miserably in that department.||I don't speak German, but I do speak English and French fluently. Hardly anyone spoke or understood basic English and no one knew any French||the worst treatment was in the restaurant for breakfast. The rudeness was incredible. One morning, one of our friends we were visiting ( German) came to breakfast with me. I asked him not to speak German and let me know if it was my imagination of how rude they were to me. He could not believe that everything I had told them was true. He was embarrassed by their behavior towards a visitor.||This is a hotel to be avoided by non-German-speaking visitors

Staff were great, friendly welcome at check in. ||Rooms are ok, clean and tidy but a bit shabby in places. Shower was good, good pressure but the temperature was a bit low. Bed was comfortable. ||I had a room out back which had great views and was quiet. ||Evening dinner was ok, food was nice and service was good. A few others had a few issues with their meal but was quickly sorted out.||Breakfast was good, reasonable selection. Fresh orange juice was fabulous ||Quick easy check out||Car parking was very full.

No review on the hotel. Just on the dinner.||||This was the best diner and the best wines (in a restaurant) I had for many years. The chef created excellent courses and the sommelier presented great wines that paired perfectly. Both of them not only topped my expectations but also topped some of the Michelin Star restaurants I have been to. What a delicious night. My wife, my friends and I will remember this evening for many years!! The photo’s might not do them justice 😉

I stayed here one night and also ate in their restaurant. The room was fine, clean but lacking character or any luxury for this price bracket. The view is great and I recommend walking around the castle ruins nearby. In the evening I ate in the restaurant. The food was very good but the service was chaotic with the waiters shouting to eachother in Arabic. However overall my impression was positive. It was also recommended by some local people I knew.

I had a room on the back (north/west) side of the hotel with a view down the mountain. With nice weather and awesome sunset really something to remember. Unfortunatly, that was the highlight of the hotel... The bed was small and uncomfortable, mainly due to the outworn matrace and the bathroom was old and not clean. Without the location on the mountain and the great view I would have given only 2 stars...

The restaurant had the best ham eggs benedict I've ever had. The coffee was nice and strong, the jams, butter, and margarine were amazing and the croissants were perfectly fluffy and flaky. The service was excellent. Would recommend, will come again.
