Little bit late posting this review, but better late than never.||We had two rooms and one suite here and travelled as a group of six.||We came to explore the sights of Tallinn and also to have a look around the Christmas markets. ||Check in was very smooth and we sat and had a welcome drink and tucked in to the complimentary treats that were of offer, as it was mid November the reception was very festive and there were multiple Christmas trees decorated throughout. ||Its a very beautiful old building that has retained many of its unique features, no lift access being one.||Our suite was an adequate size, but certainly not a huge space, the bed was very comfortable and we slept well. I think in the bathroom it would be better to take the bath with over shower out and put in a more modern walk in shower, but thats a small criticism. ||The breakfast room as well as the choices and quality was fantastic and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The food arrived promptly, hot and well presented and the continental buffet was also excellent, again a nice Christmas tree in the breakfast room and a real fire in one section. ||The hotel is in an excellent position, nice and quiet in the evening, but also very close to everything you want to see.||Some very famous guests have stayed at the hotel over the years and their names adorn a wall on the stairway by reception. ||We didn't try the onsite restaurant so can't comment on that, but the reception with open fire is a lovely place to sit and have a drink after a day exploring the sites of Tallinn. ||Any staff we spoke to and interacted with were superb, particular mention to Patrick who sorted me with a late check out as I wasn't feeling well.||If you're considering Tallinn for a city break then definitely consider a stay here. Very reasonable price and excellent service, sleep quality and food.
