NOT A KID/FAMILY-FRIENDLY BREWERY. Unless you are white, you & your kids are not welcome here. I say this because other white kids/families present were not treated the same way, even though they were also just being kids.
Austin yelled at my kids for being literal kids (again, other kids were not yelled at for doing the same thing). It’s wild that Austin thought he could approach 5- and 8-year-old children in the way he did.
If they are not kid- or family-friendly and expect children to not move at their establishment, they should explicitly state so.
Instead, Austin yelled at our kids, spoke negatively about them to other customers, and, when my husband approached him to ask that he speak directly to us instead of other customers, Austin threw a cup at one of us.
All of this occurred in front of the "owner."
Our kids were playing in the arcade, playing chess and dice, and occasionally running—all within our view. Again, they are kids! They were not bumping into people or doing anything disruptive.
This was a horrible human interaction, not just poor customer service. Austin clearly has no patience with children and should hold a position that does not involve customer interaction, if any.
I’ve never had this type of experience at any brewery, and I am truly disappointed that this establishment presents itself as family-friendly for sales but treats its customers so poorly.
