Google
This place is GREAT! Bartender was super nice, the beers are soooo sooo soo good! We tried so many of them and we loved all of them!!! The decor and vibe are immaculate! they have a free arcade room in the back, many choices of board games and even event night such as paint night. The kitchen was closed so didnt get to try any food! Coming back for sure!

Jason Hunter C.

Google
I love this place!.... but... I'll be nice, I've been a patron here for 5+ years and have known many or the bar tenders an owner, ( absolutely amazing down to earth people) used to come here every Friday and sometimes Wednesday for corn hole, along with me was my 10 plus coworkers that also loved this place. But none of them will come with me anymore... let's just say the adult to child ratio is a solid 50/50, it's kinda become alot to deal with for people who work 8-12 hours a day.. guess it's time to fine a new field to graze in.

Google
Nice selection of beers, friendly staff and a good atmosphere. The Brewer was there when we visited and gave good insight into the different beers. We enjoyed this brewery enough to go twice while visiting.

Christopher S.

Google
Another very decent Torrance brewery option for craft beer enthusiasts in the South Bay. The craft beer brewery ambiance is pretty standard, warehouse with tables and a food truck outside. They get bonus points for having games like Cornhole and giant Jenga inside. I have enjoyed their beer on both occasions that I visited, and their wide selection of beer styles ensures there should be something for everyone.

Alfredo Z.

Google
Great brewery! A bountful of options and great tastes. It has a relaxing ambience to get a beer with friends and just hang out. Chill place.

Google
Great place for any event. Had our engagement party here. Staff went above and beyond to help out! Beers are delicious with a wide variety of style for any taste. Would recommend to anyone!

Google
Great ales 🍺 and soo many different flavors and grades. You have to try the Evil Red. Apetizers are just good. The place is pet friendly and really great staff!

Google
when it comes to breweries, Torrance is the place to visit; theres great breweries, a few that have potential and a few others with no future.when it comes to scholbs there beer is decent and they have potential to become one of the great breweries in Torrance. the brewery is welcoming and spacious, the people that work there are friendly and helpful and they have great merchandise on sale.

Yelp
We held my mother-in-law's celebration of life at Scholb Premium Ales, and I cannot say enough good things about the experience. The owners were absolutely amazing, so helpful, kind, and attentive throughout the process. They made what could have been a stressful day feel easy and truly special. The setup was beautiful, and so many of our guests commented on how wonderful everything looked. The space felt warm, welcoming, and perfectly suited for honoring her memory. Everyone at the celebration said how beautiful everything was, and I couldn't agree more. Beer and wine were great as always. Thank you to Scholb Premium Ales for making this day not only great but also seamless. You went above and beyond, and we are so grateful.

Yelp
Haven't stopped in for too long. Great service! Best of all, great beer. Really like how comfortable the indoor sitting areas are. Also, if you're looking for a place to have a party, check out Schlob. Cheers!

Yelp
I have a regular happy hour at Hop Saint, but I should go to Scholb more often. It's October and Hop Saint was late on their Octoberfest beer. On my way home from work, I remembered the marzen Scholb has last year and stopped in thinking they must have brewed it again. My intuition paid off. Mein Stein is the name and caramel goodness is the game. They even have it in cans. I wish it were a year round beer.

Yelp
Great large space for events! This is a very large space and I came here for a private party which was cordoned off. Not entirely private since there other patrons seated within the space, but very accomodating with the food that was catered and our family and friends. Although I'm not a beer drinker, the beer (SoCal Blonde) I sampled was great. I'd like to come back and try the food menu/food trucks. Located in an industrial office park area with lots of parking.

Yelp
First timer here and I entered I was pretty impressed with the location and just the vibes they had going on. They had a cool Italian style pasta food truck that has some items that looked good but not while having a beer. A taco truck would have been better or something that goes with the beer in my opinion. They have a fun and cool outdoor seating with little lounge areas if you have a small group of people. They have little propane fire pits that were perfect cause it was chilly. Love the ambiance. You have seating inside as well and more hangout spots like the Game room that was such a RAD thing to have at a brewery. They had PAC-MAN and other fun oldschool video games you can play plus a huge table area that you can hang with a group of friends. They had a pretty good selection of beers and also some seltzers and other alcoholic beverage for those who don't care for beer which was great. The guy who took our order was super chill and let us sample some of the beers before purchasing and keeping our tab open. To your right of grabbing your beer they have a fridge stocked up with their local beers so you can take home and enjoy as well and some cool merch wall with tshirts and stickers and cool bags and caps. If you want to have an event here they totally do that and the atmosphere is great and they way they redo the place for weddings and work events and other things is Great. While we were there someone was having a work Christmas event and they had their own reserved area as well. So you. An def reserve a spot there. Their bathrooms were clean and unique art on walls and all. I really loved everything about this place and can't wait to be back and hang with friends and enjoy cold beer. Thanks for a fun experience!

Yelp
Dog friendly, good food, beer and music. Bartender was easy going and gave some great recommendations. I had a mexican cervesa and my husband had a SoCal Blonde. Beer tasted great and was cold!

Yelp
Schlob Premium Ales: 100000000/10! Amazing atmosphere and top-tier service! shoutout to Sam the bartender for making the night unforgettable! Endless arcade gameplay (yes, including retro Mario!), fun jump houses for the kids, and an incredible Korean BBQ pop up at a great price. Perfect spot for all ages. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Patrick S.

Yelp
Really cool place for beer and drinks. Super nice staff. Also liked how they have a small room with video games for the kids. Cool area outside to hang out and drinks. Tables and couches to relax and listen to music. Food vendors were on site so I think they rotate variety. Over all a cool place to have a beer and hang out. We will go back foe sure to try other beers.

Laurie M.

Yelp
Friendly servers, good beer, lovely outdoor seating area! This is a great Sunday afternoon hang out. Relaxed vibe and lots of regulars. Oh! ...and a video game room! We've been going here since they opened and Jason has maintained the variety and quality of the beer that brought us back the first time. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Jenn J.

Yelp
Great menu variety. Great beers. We enjoyed the Belgian doubel, frog stout and night shift IPA. All were terrific I like they had a food truck at the ready. Too bad they were vegan. We are carnivores :)
google avatar

Kevin W.

Yelp
Scholb Premium Ales is one of the newer breweries in the Torrance area. Nice roomie space. Good for familiers. Parking is in the industrial plaza. Good amount of space. Service was good. Hazys had decent flavor. Flight pricing was good. Flight - $10 IPA - $8

Yelp
Finally made it back (years later) and had a very good experience. The vibe is good and we enjoyed several beers. My only complaint is that the bartender seems to make the food also, so he would disappear for several minutes, behind a curtain, while the bar line grew. PolyPear Sour 2/5 Gun Shy White Stout 4/5 Classy Lass Brown 3/5 Bon Fuego smoked brown 3.5/5 Fog Topper nitro dry stout 2.5/5 Liv Aloha tropical lager 3.5/5 Tipsy Cow Belgian single 3.5/5 Bee Keeper's Daughter Gruit 4/5 Guava Queen Sour 2.5/5 Lavender and Lace Sour 3/5

Yelp
I don't visit LA often at ALL but a good friend invited me to a brewery (drinks on him), so how could I say no? Jackson & Andrew were both super kind! Very attentive & very patient when I was figuring out what drinks I wanted to include in my flight, thanks for making the experience lovely. This is a LARGE space, lots of inside & outside seating and there's even a game room so you can have a silly little time while you drink. For my flight ($10), I chose the Liv Aloha (7/10), Summer Soulstice (8/10), Diablo's Daughter (great amount of spice, 9/10), PolyPear Sour (5/10), Lovely Jubbly (8/10) & I also checked in on here and got a free 6th so I went with the Beekeeper's Daughter which actually ended up being my favorite (10/10) The beer pretzel with cheese & whole grain mustard ($5) was a great addition to the drinks though the pretzel was a little too salty for my liking (8/10) Overall, great space, great staff, & great drinks!

Yelp
As a first timer, I had a good time! Tucked away in an industrial park is this small, friendly hole in the wall. I'm pretty sure parking during the day might be a bit of a hassle, but of course, it really opens up in the evening. Street parking would be the next option, I thing that's the only real downside of going to Scholb, but it gives you time to work off that drink with a brisk walk, eh? There's a very friendly atmosphere here, with plenty of room to enjoy your drink or snack. The outside setup is a handful of picnic benches and patio sets, along with outdoor heaters. I don't remember seeing a firepit, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was one tucked away (it was dark). "Inside" are a bunch of high top setups, with a long table in the middle, and then another high top setup area where the cornhole equipment is. Plenty of room to drink and not have to worry about getting hit with a beanbag! The menu offers a decent selection of brews, hopefully you find one you like. I went with the Liv Aloha, which was light and crisp with a hit of pineapple, and I think my wife and her friends got the raspberry one. If you're indecisive like I am though, there is a wheel on the counter you can spin for a random pour. You can order pretzels and pizza to munch on while enjoying your brew and talking trash to your cornhole playing friends. If you want a sip of water, there's a pour spout mounted into the wall to the left of the register...innovate and brilliant idea! The restrooms are unisex, and very clean. I'll definitely be back! Also...don't make the mistake i did....check in on Yelp when you get there for a free taster, not when you're leaving. That speaks volumes when you have such a good time that you forget to do the fundamental check in! *puts on arnold shades* "I'll be back!"
google avatar

Meredith A.

Yelp
One of my favorite local breweries. Staff is always very friendly and can help with suggestions or you can spin the wheel on the counter if you're not sure what to drink! I only like sours, so no wheel spinning for me, but it's still very cute. The venue is sort of split in half inside - sometimes one half will be used for events like paint night (can get busy, but I like that it's not immediately against the bar area). They have bar seating, a few high top tables, and then some different outdoor seating areas. I love coming here because I only like sours and they always have a few on draught (while some other places have none!) And their sours are SOUR. Not this aged ale business, true fruity sours. Their opa's pie flavors are great - recently had the strawberry rhubarb one which was very tart and flavorful. Very hospitable spot, friendly people, and bring your best pup along too.

Henry L.

Yelp
Recently hosted a welcome event for our wedding at Scholb. They made it super easy to set everything up, and the space was perfect for accommodating all of our guests (we were about 80 or so). The staff was friendly and helpful, and they had a few options for folks who don't like beer as well.
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Didn't try the food at the brewery but had delicious tacos from the food truck parked on the brewery's site. Great service, nice ice cold beer. Kids could karaoke and play in the bounce house, like I was on a date and had a babysitter. Nice selection of beers and love the outdoor area with heaters and fire pits.
google avatar

Steve M.

Yelp
One of the best selections of home brewed beer in Torrance. Great chill vibe. Just a very relaxing place to hang out and decompress after a crazy day. Staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. Bar keep Sasha is amazing and probably overdue for a raise. Un brindisi!
google avatar

Allan M.

Yelp
Good service, really good beers, it's a nice chill environment. Good place to just hang and watch a game or catch up with friends.
google avatar

Ian S.

Yelp
$9.90 for a beer! $11 with tip! Nice vibe. Fun space. The outside space is a good hang out spot.
google avatar

Yelp
I recently rented out Scholb Brewery for a baby shower of 130 guests, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. Although we catered our own food, the venue was kind enough to let us use their tables and cloths for buffet style! We also rented their jumper which the kids loved!Rebecca, the coordinator, was incredibly accommodating from start to finish. She had a list of vendors from caterers, decorations, Photo Booth, etc. The pricing was within our budget and straightforward with no surprises. She answered all our questions in a timely manner. The bartenders, Cody and his coworker, were phenomenal in assisting us during setup, throughout the event, and even after the event for clean-up. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely return again!
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
Good vibes! Flight is a great deal at 10 bucks for five pours. My favorites were lavender lace, bee keeper, and liv aloha. Bartender was awesome and super friendly. One of my favorite breweries in the area and I will be back. Also on a Friday they are open until 10 despite what it says on Yelp! Happy they were open for karaoke night. My only critique is don't let people fill up their own personal water bottle on the community water spout...with covid raging and all.
google avatar

Benjamin A.

Yelp
Bartenders here are great. I've never felt anything but a sense of community and genuine love. Beer is above average, but what makes this place special are the people.
google avatar

Can D.

Yelp
This is my favorite family friendly Brewery in South Bay! I follow Scholb on IG, so they post when they bring out the jumper and open up the game room. My kids have fun while parents and friends can meet up for some drinks. Additionally, there is always a food truck for dinner or just bring your own snacks. There is so many flavors of beer, that everyone will find a glass they will enjoy.
google avatar

Julio V.

Yelp
Great beer and service! The brewers here are friendly and welcoming. They allow you to try any beer before you buy. I really enjoyed the Tall Dank and Handsome beer. We also tried the Upside Down drink as well with the stouts. Delicious! Definitely recommend this.

Yelp
I was just informed by a friend that there was a reply to my review of Scholb Premium Ales that I left 21 days ago. I cannot see the "owner's" reply from my personal Yelp account, so I am assuming I am blocked from seeing the reply. In my initial review I state that I felt race played a role in the disgusting way Austin treated our group in regards to our children at the brewery. They denied it in their reply-- the way they have obstructed my ability to see/reply their own reply from my personal account is very telling. The facts are: -There were other kids running around the brewery at certain points. Not just ours. -Austin NEVER approached the adults in our party to ask us to tell our kids to stop running. He did in fact yell at our kids though. -Austin was never cornered. When he was heard talking negatively about our kids to a group that was sitting a few tables from us, my husband approached Austin to tell him to speak to us about our kids, instead of other guests. Austin is the one who became aggressive, began yelling, and ultimately threw cups at a person in our party. I would post pictures of the reply, but in my last review I posted a picture of Austin and the "owner" and they had them removed. Please be cautious when and if you visit this brewery. Their actions speak LOUD!
google avatar

Pork Chop A.

Yelp
1st time visiting, friendly server and good atmosphere. Sat at empty table that had been reserved. The bartender advised that it was reserved but allowed myself and my friends to occupy the table until the group arrived. Once the group arrived, the bartender directed us to another table that cleared. He was apologetic for having us to move but as we told him, he understood and thanked him for allowing us to stay at the empty reserved table til that group arrived. The place was busy and the Liv Hawaiian beer I had was very flavourful and smooth. I'm not much of a drinker anymore, this this being only my 1st beer of 2025. I average about 3 or max 4 alcoholic beverages per year; however, I would recommend this brewery for the superb service and smooth beer. Whenever I decide to have my second beer for the year I will surely enjoy it at this brewery.

Nancy J.

Yelp
Sadly I am going to confirm from other reviews that nothing has changed! A very disappointing experience! Bartender Austin has zero tolerance for presence of children! Our children at any moment were left unsupervised. The level of concern Austin ( Bartender) had for our children did not add up! Austin yelled at our group, yelled at our children then went aside to talk about us to other customers. Austin as a bartender does not know how to control his emotions. He threw a cup at a person from our group. That comes to show how unprofessional he is with no customer service or respect. All this was done in front of the "owner" Jason! Jason the fact that you allowed Austin to treat your customers this way is extremely sad and disappointing! This brewery does not represent family-friendly FAMILIES HERE ARE NOT WELCOMED!!!!!!!

Yelp
Came by on a Saturday afternoon for some beer tasting. Was pretty crowded as 2/3 of their patio was taken by a large corporate group. LOVED the fact that they had four sours to choose from (in addition to the IPA's, Lagers, Stouts, etc). Favorite was the Pear one -- with blueberry a close 2nd. Large indoor space too with high ceilings and friendly bartenders. Oh -- DOG FRIENDLY! Only thing that was a miss was the food as the pretzel we had and the humos/pita platter wasn't the greatest -- plus the pizza they had looked underwhelming so we passed. Wish they had BBQ or a food truck there -- but I guess they need to make money by selling in house. Still, the beer was top notch and atmosphere pleasant.
google avatar

Jacqueline M.

Yelp
I like the fact that you can bring your own food in. But if you prefer, they have some snack items that you can munch on. The atmosphere and the ambience is great. I love the outdoor seating in various settings. But to me the most important thing is Service. Sacha took great care of us. She was very attentive and friendly, offering suggestions as I tend to like a fruity flavored beer and or hard seltzers. It was nice to try the flight. If you decide to go, ask for Sacha.
google avatar

Rebecca D.

Yelp
The usual industrial park set up with a large tasting room adjacent to the brewing equipment and a large outdoor area with umbrellas, tables and chairs. The friendly beertender gladly gave me my free taster with Yelp checkin. I liked the Fog Topper nitro stout and hubby enjoyed his Night Shift Black IPA. They have a small menu of paninis, pizzas, hummus, etc. but are also open to people bringing in their own food. We grabbed some sushi from Mitsuwa and ate that. Nice atmosphere with people of all ages and clean "All gender" restrooms.
google avatar

Matthew N.

Yelp
Such an unfortunate experience. The manager and owner were incredibly rude and disrespectful. Not a place for families ... unfriendly to kids. Will never be back.
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
Cool spot. Great selections. Only thing I would suggest: bring sweaters and blankets!! Not very helpful when it comes to their heaters we had to ask 3 times for help and when the "guy who could help" finally arrived, we received NO help.
google avatar

Paul W.

Yelp
I am not a fan of Scholb brewery but a lot of my friends are. I am into more hoppy IPA's. But the atmosphere here is great and the staff is really cool. It is a great place to hang out.
google avatar

Erin H.

Yelp
Big open space that's half indoor, half outdoor. So super COVID friendly. Love that they have a seltzer on tap (a "scheltzer" - clever). Interestingly, they have a base flavorless hard seltzer that they then add one or more of a variety of flavored syrups to, depending on what you want. I enjoyed my pomegranate flavor. I wanna try prickly pear next. My friends loved their beer, esp the Upside Down. It's a 4/5 cuz it was a lil pricey. One seltzer was about $8 before tip. Not outrageous but not a steal. Staff were super chill and cool.

David D.

Yelp
Customer service was horrible and felt discriminated never going back to this place. Our kids were being mistreated and that is not acceptable.

Luiz J.

Yelp
Beer was ok, actually liked one a bit better than ok but service could of been better, guy bartender was a bit rude, not sure what exactly ticked him off but he has some learning to do when it comes to service, someone upfront like that ruins the image of the brewery.. main bartender is super rude with children, so NOT KID FRIENDLY!!!! Do not come here if accompanied with children as they will be kids.. Absolution right next door has a much better vibe with a much better selection of ales and IPA's, don't waste your time coming here!!!!
google avatar

Victor S.

Yelp
A warehouse setup, great beer, and awesome people. This is probably one of the best brewery's that I have been to in 2023. Not sure if they are still doing this, but try their Mug Club. Best investment if you frequent this brewery often.

Amy N.

Yelp
The bartenders were incredibly rude and they had issues because we came with our kids. Treated disrespectfully because we were parents. It's very confusing and odd behavior from grown adults who have anger towards children playing and having fun (being kids!) The bartender shut the game room down (and told the kids it's closed) and when we left we were saw them go inside and turn the game room back on. Bizarre to be so mean to children. Also the beer was not great.

Amy R.

Yelp
Do not bring your children here. The main bartender screamed at us in front of our children. It was inappropriate for an advertised "family friendly" establishment. The beer is not very good either.

Christina C.

Yelp
Great place, fun atmosphere and dog friendly. Very tasty beer too. Will be back again!
google avatar

Moises A.

Yelp
I finally found it once's again. Looks like this place is doing really good. They have games to play and food to eat. I remember I had a blueberry beer from here a while back. The guy that Porsche the beer was helpful and kinda. The environment here is so chill. I injoy this place.

Jocelyn D.

Yelp
Not kid friendly. And Racist. I have never in my life experienced discrimination like this. I have never felt the need to do a review where I felt discriminated against. We visit many brewery's and we have never experienced discrimination like this from the moment we arrived we did not receive a happy welcome, our kids ran to the game station and were immediately yelled at in the most rude manner. At first I understood that the kids should not be running so we let our kids know please don't run. The employee Austin yelled at the kids extremely loud "stop running" and the kids understood after we warned them and they did not run again. Later that night he was seen by a parent yelling and speaking in a rude manner towards the kids. A parent stepped in and said hey let me know if the kids are doing something they're not supposed to and the employee Austin started getting aggressive and started yelling. Again we have been to many brewery's and have never experienced hatred towards the kids in this manner. He then told a guest to leave with his kids and the guest said I have a full drink and Austin launched a stack of plastic cups across the room to the customer and said here take it to go. Extremely unprofessional and uncalled for our kids were afraid and felt unsafe that objects were being thrown at them. We left immediately and will not ever be returning. Please be aware if you are Hispanic you may not receive a warm welcome I even spoke to the owner and let him know that I will be doing a review and he said this wouldn't affect him in any way he did not seem to care. He said he did not care about reviews. Their were other kids there and they did not seem to be treated like we were and that is why I feel this was a matter of discrimination.
google avatar

Caitlin N.

Yelp
Came in on a Tuesday night to grab a drink with some friends and we weren't too impressed by the drinks but it was a fun atmosphere (they had a corn hole tournament going on) and it was decently priced. We mostly split a number of samplers sizes which weren't our favorite flavors of beers but thats okay! Might come back again to try some of their other beers.
google avatar

Angela R.

Yelp
This place came up on my yelp after I was looking at some breweries in the area. I was excited to try something new in the area. What threw me off was how large this place is. It reminds me of Smog City. The plus are that there are some games like life sized jenga, and corn hole. I appreciated that there were a good amount of different seating (couches, benches, high tables), televisions, and the Dodger game. :) I'm thinking that this place is like the others in that you can bring your own food in. We spotted someone else with a large pizza. Salivating. The bathrooms are clean. There are some deals like happy hour, corn hole night, and mug night. All in all, great atmosphere but I don't know if I'd come back. The beer was okay. I understand that it's in house brewed but it wasn't incredibly impressive. Maybe one more time? We will see.

Yelp
Had our engagement party here, highly recommend. Staff was so welcoming, friendly, and helpful. It felt like they genuinely cared so much that all of our guests (and us) had a fun time. So many options for beer too- something for everyone. Place has a great vibe all around. Would 10/10 recommend to anyone no matter if for happy hour or a life event!
google avatar

Derek F.

Yelp
My wife and I held our baby shower here this past weekend. We have nothing but good things to say about the Location, The Beer Selections, The Staff and Level of Service. We were taken back by how accommodating everyone was so that our party could go as planned. We recommend this location for any special event or just to hang out. I'm glad we found this location and our guests had nothing but positive things to say as well. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in our day. Me and Mrs Fortin + baby Dj

Yelp
Typical industrial setting microbrewery. The indoor space is great; large and open with room for parties. The outdoor space is great too with a large patio able to accommodate large groups, games, etc. The beer is the main draw and is terrific. A couple buildings down from another brewery to make a great trip of it. Plenty of parking available. Great spot!
google avatar

Tanner C.

Yelp
A good variety of beer (it's not 95% IPA!) with some creative, but insanely good brews that the bartenders would love to tell you about. A small food menu and some snacks are available. The bartenders/owners are super friendly and hospitable, and none of them seem "fake" Looks like a good place for a party/event, tons of space for large parties indoors and out. Noise is typically medium. They always have the big sports games on. Lots of beer to go and merch!
