"The top floor of this entirely revamped 18C former salt barn is home to a restaurant whose rugged walls command a panoramic view over the Somme Bay. A schorre (or a salt marsh) refers to an “upper coastal intertidal zone of thick mud, covered by grass and regularly flooded by high tides” according to the dictionary. Our poached turbot was flanked by a crunchy ‘tidal’ salad of salt marsh plants (samphire, maritime asters, halimione). Chef François-Xavier Sailly regularly renews his creative gourmet score, an example of which is his dessert of beetroot, hazelnuts and mascarpone." - Michelin Inspector

A great night at this restaurant. The full tasting menu was diverse and nicely timed. The wine paring works well, especially as some of the selections were not what we would typically choose. Staff were attentive and friendly and the atmosphere was vibrant.

Superlative experience at Schorre for a very large family Sunday lunch. The staff is superb (they called me on the morning of my booking to ask if I would like to eat on the terrace as the weather forecast was so good! There were 16 of us!). The menu was small but the food was divine, with very original fragrances and variations on old themes (e.g the Tomato, Basil and gin Baba for desert). I would highly recommend this beautiful place set slightly away from the hustle and bustle of this very busy little town). A huge thank you to the whole team for making our lunch such a wonderful and easy experience.

This is how it should be done! We went on a wet November evening and enjoyed every second. The staff were very welcoming and helped us with the menu as our French is not up to coping with such a range of ingredients! A choice of 2 starters, mains and puddings with an optional cheese course. Between the two of us we had them all ( except the cheese). Everything was delicious and looked too good to eat. We overcame that bit! If you get a chance, just go We look forward to returning
