Always windy and harsh. Nice place to walk with kids. Events are good in the area. Very open park with barely any trees. Ample parking area near by. There are pickleball courts and bunch of other courts down south of the park.

This park is amazing! It has varying views through the city and many artistic elements within it. I love that they used the city layout and landmarks to design it around. There really is something for everyone’s interests. From canoes, to sports courts, walking trails, and gardens, there is plenty to see and do. Plan for a couple of hours to see it all.

great park in the middle of OKC!Spend lots of sunrises/sunsets at overlook hill, at night markets or free concerts, watching people play sports down at the courts. the bridge is a highlight with the lovelocks is very cool especially at night when it changes colors! spark is a unique restaurant as well, lots of parking. definitely recommend theres always something to do to!!☺️

Very beautiful area. The walking path was picturesque and had benches along the way. I love the Lilly and native plant areas. Trees lined lined the way offering a bit of shade and butterflies were evident.

I took my kids down town to walk around the myriad gardens area and enjoy the christmas lights that they have every year as well as the christmas ornament displays and different things but there where no lights, none by the ice rink or anything. My toddlers where already told they where getting to stay up late and walk around and see pretty lights because they have had an awful week adjusting to some schedule changes and going from daycare kids to stay at home kids. We are all stuck at home all day this week so for me to tell my kids the lights where not there and break their hearts was not an option. We then see some lights at one of our favorite parks scissortale park, we think oh ok so they moved the lights this year cool. Nope not even close. We park, walk to the lights and we are greeted by a ticket desk telling us that the total will be $50 for my family of 6 to see these danm christmas lights. My baby was free but i had to pay $10 each for the other 2 toddlers plus $10 for the 14yo and $10 each for me and my husband to go on a 10 min stroll through christmas lights at a public park. You say well why didnt you just not go then? Again I was not going to add to my kids stressful week by telling them we cannot afford to see christmas lights so I had to spend the rest of our grocery money. The state of Oklahoma and the city of OKC should be ashamed of themselves to charge us to see christmas lights knowing how terrible the economy is, knowing how many Oklahoma children are not getting christmas because us parents just cannot afford to buy christmas, yet you think its ok to charge ppl $10 each. I thought better of this state and town. I thought the state and city cares about its residents but of course not. You will do anything to make a buck i see including taking a few of the things we look forward to every year and making it unaffordable. I could see if it was we encourage donating what you can to come see the lights, kids 4 and under free and everyone else $5 a person. That would be do able. It would suck but it wouldn't feel like highway robbery. That light set up was not worth $50 at all. It wasnt worth paying for at all. Yukon lights are free and are amazing, chickasha lights are free and are amazing. We drive the 45 mins to go to both. Tonight we wanted to try to enjoy somthing from our own city and this is what we found. Such a disappointment. It really makes me not want to live in the city anymore.

This park is beautiful and well taken care of! I love the decorations and gardens they have here. They have a dog park and ponds too! We went here today and it says free parking all day Sunday, I'm not sure if it's free every Sunday or any other day but we will come back because it's a nice place to hang out 😊

Have went here for yoga, concerts, and many festivals over the past years. The city keeps the park so clean and maintained. It is also so safe, I never feel uncomfortable while here. It has great amenities.

This is a great park in OKC!! It's actually 2 parks in one, connected by the Skydance Bridge which goes over Interstate 40! On one side there are basketball and tennis courts with plenty of paved walking trails. On the other side is a lake, a skating rink and a performance stage. I didn't get a chance to stay here as long as I would have liked to, seems like a good area to be at in the summer!!

This was such a beautiful little area. I wish we had more time to explore it. There was a lot of life and activity going on. The location is easily accessible from multiple areas in the city. It was like a little island surrounded by busy streets on each side. There was a little pond we were able to walk around and another little path with flowers. Then you have the skydance bridge which is looks like a pair of scissors. I believe this is where Scissortail Pak gets its namesake since it looks like a pair of scissors. All throughout the path there was a playground and other little sculptures. There were tons of people sitting on a hill having picnics or just relaxing. There wasn't any music or events when we were there, but I am sure that is something that happens often. I thought this was a nice little oasis from the city and a great free way to spend time.

Scissortail park lake shape like scissor. It is great park to roam at night. The lake has boathouse with lake paddle boat rental. They host midweek Wednesday farmers market from May to September. The park parking is paid on the street side. The park connected to the Skydance Bridge. Park is bid for special event and venue. Especially the July 4 fireworks. At night time, the skyline light is beautiful. Many come here for night jogging.

Scissortail park is the heart of OKC. Today I took some pictures around the park, but have attended many events and general visits to walk and enjoy the fresh air over the years. The marathon for the OKC bombing remembrance has the finish line here every years. Many concerts and events during the year. Love the farmers market during the summer too. A little disappointed it's $1 per hour to park here. Should be free for OKC locals. Nonetheless, plenty of trails to walk and grass to run and play. Perfect for families and visitors from all over.

I love Scissortail park this is one of the reasons I enjoy living in Oklahoma City. The free events, farmers market. concerts and exercise classes are always excellent and enjoyable. The park is well kept and a peaceful place to walk in.

I wish I could share the music! It's such a nice vibe. I love the different groups showcasing tonight and the crowd came out in groves. We need more projects for all the people at Sissortail it was a great evening to listen to great music and people watch of course.

How have I not reviewed this place! We come often and absolutely love it here and the jewelry added addition. We love spark bc they are pet friendly and will come out to take our order. Everything here is amazing and if you get the chance to visit you will not be disappointed. They do live events and much more. Check out their website and Facebook page to stay up to date.

Pretty cool park in the Heart of OKC! Bathrooms seem to be well taken care of. Splash pad was a good time. On another visit the park play toys were enjoyed by my daughters. No a fan of paying to park.... however I get it...you have to maintain the area with funds from somewhere. We will return. Respectfully, Bryan Yukon, Oklahoma

We we're passing by and decided to stop by. This park is beautiful. There were beautiful flowers and grass area. We decided to order done ice cream and walk around the park. My son played at the park for a while. They had nice clean bathrooms here. Definitely worth stopping by.

I can't believe I've never been here. Honestly, never was too interested, but glad we decided to take the boys over the weekend. We tried to do everything the park offered. We walked on the scissortail bridge that overlooked I-40. You could see downtown too. After the bridge we walked by the water, and then let the kids play in the play area. They seemed to enjoy this wooden spider area where they climbed for almost 3 hours. There were tons of people when we went so, we had to watch our kids like a hawk. There were also some food trucks when we went so, if you were to get hungry or thirsty there were convenient options available at the park. Overall, my family and I enjoyed this park and would definitely return.

A gem in the city! We absolutely love going here. We've been when it snowed, we've been at the start of spring & we've been when it's hot. Just gorgeous! They have a lot of events going on for everyone to enjoy! Definitely check out their social media pages or even their website for events. Music, movies, yoga, basketball, pickleball, farmers markets - it's just an amazing spot with so much always going on & it doesn't hurt how beautiful it is.

This was a fun first event for my daughter and I. Foodiefest brought in local business owners to showcase a variety of cuisines, crafts, specialty and retail items. Can't overlook the standard farmers market. It was a chilly start. Parking nearby was $10. We decided to share a few dishes that were new to us. Everything tasted excellent! The vendors we spoke with were friendly and provided extra info when requested without missing a beat. Very cool stuff offered. They had a big screen setup for the OU / Texas game out in the open area and plenty of people brought lawn chairs to indulge in the days events. We went for the food and music. Will plan to attend the next Foodiefest.

Not for "holiday lights" event. They advertised so much about their lights, yada yada yada so we went. No lights. Anywhere. Union Station was the only lame "light show" and the rest of the park was dark. Thank goodness for the lights of the commerce around them. Other than that we were all bored. Toward the end of our walk there was a small light display where we were able to get pics but other than that it was a flop. My grandchildren were bored out of their mind until we found the playground with the slides. Everyone we spoke with was as baffled as we. Most people we spoke with were also looking for these light displays they advertised so much.

Enjoy going to the monthly farmers markets. Always great vendors out there, really enjoy the vintage pop up shops and taco trucks!

Wonderful place in the city to spend a nice day outside whether it be picnicking or taking a walk. They're starting to revamp the surrounding area with things like The Social Capital right across the street.

It is awesome and only going to get better as surrounding area is developed. The horticultural design is sentimental to the State and its history with the stories you'll read and hear The two ponds offer some exciting water related activities like paddle boats and they even offer ADA compliant vessels The stage is placed in front of a well manicured lawn; a little hill starts to incline about 100 yards away that creates a stadium "seating" type of landscape design. It is awesome for people who want to view events but be out of the crowd There is an area that can be used for some body weight and aerobic exercises; It's like an adult jungle gym. The entire park is an amazing area to walk, jog, or run around except for when a crap condition vehicle passes by and emits uncontrolled exhaust and fuel stenches Opening weekend was spectacular and organized very well. Citizens had an awesome night, but goodness golly I couldn't believe how many people were interested in littering, and being okay with it I look forward to the events that will be held here

Scissortail Park is an amazing park, whether you are planning a picnic, taking a walk or attending an event this park is an amazing place for any of the above. It's located in downtown OKC, but when you are in the park you forget you are downtown, especially if you are in the southern portion of the park. There are very few buildings surrounding the southern portion of the park and a lake, which makes this portion very peaceful and relaxing. If you sit or walk in the northern portion of the park, you can see the amazing backdrop of OKC. This park is a great place to visit for all, with plenty of activities and scenery.

When I'm at Scissortail, I can see the future. A time very soon, when we are all out and about, masked but not paranoid, careful but not OCD. When we know our kids can't get our parents sick, and we're not worried about spritzing their hands with sanitizer every few minutes. There's a bright golden haze on the meadow, public art and installations abound, and life feels a little bit less like a dystopian novel, and more like the life we all imagined when this park 70-acre, $132 million park opened with a rock concert to a crowd of 28,000. We tracked down the Planters Peanut mobile a few weeks ago in Bricktown, and then took the streetcar to Scissortail. We have been so careful, but it was the beginning of "Spring Break" (or whatever the equivalent is when your kids have been in school for 10 days since November lol). We decided to hit up the park via the streetcar, and it was such a great experience. We loved the children's area, even on a cold-ish and windy-ish day. And even though we spent a long time there, it felt as if we barely scratched the surface of this amazing park. The kids had a great time on the playground equipment, and we had fun watching them wear themselves out. I can't wait until I'm fully vaccinated in a few weeks. I plan to enjoy all this park has to offer, from the Farmers Market to the Night Market, and from the walking trails to concerts and food trucks. I'm so glad we have this here, and this is another place where I can imagine the future of the city. I can't wait to see how much prettier it will get over the course of my lifetime as the trees get bigger and all the native plants really take hold.

Absolutely loved this park in the middle of the city. Lots to do for the whole family. Beautiful spaces and plenty of space and walk ways. Go check it out if you have the time.

Really pretty to walk around at night, lights on. Stream and pond are really pleasant too. Lots of people during at night and during the day, plenty of parking but was pretty full both during the day and night. Park is pretty big, has a bridge going over the highway and goes to nowhere. Nice spot to walk around!

I can't wait to see how much prettier it will get over the course of my lifetime as the trees get bigger and all the native plants really take hold."

Wow OKC! Every time I come back to visit, the city has only shown improvements. Light rail, now an amazing, beautiful park. Much of it is still under construction so I only wonder how beautiful it must be when all is finished and done. The playground area is well done with treated wood, and lights are LED and energy efficient. Lots of community area. Even life savers near the water. Just impressed on all fronts. I just hope the city maintains it well and you could be looking at a better Austin.

Scissortail Park is the park I didn't realize we needed, but I am now so happy that it's here! When they first announced a park like this so close to the Myriad Gardens, not gonna lie I was a bit confused, but they serve completely different purposes. People use Myriad as a park, but that's really not what it is. Scissortail gives you much more than just a park as well. They have had some amazing events whether it be the multitude of performing arts shows or OKC Pride. I love seeing this space be used by so many families and friends alike. Places like this create the gathering spaces that we all crave and elevate our city even more. Looking forward to warmer weather and more time here!

This was my first visit to the park that I've been hearing about for over a year. It was beautifully landscaped, with lots of activities going on. People were visiting booths for the farmer's market, children were playing on the playground, and many folks were just enjoying the perfect weather. There was music, a coffee shop and a game of football going on too. So, something for everyone! It is a great place to have a walk along the river; many people had their dogs out enjoying the park as well. The playground has several fun pieces of play equipment, and there are clean bathrooms within the playground area too. This park is a great addition to the downtown OKC area!

We went at night to walk over the bridge! What a gorgeous park!!! So much parking available, port-a-potties if you needed them later in the evening. So much walking space and seemed incredibly safe! This would be a great place to run/walk, bring the family, or enjoy for a date. While we couldn't get good pics of everything because it wasn't all lit up, there is plenty to explore.

We been here a few times and it's always been fun. Last time we were here we brought our granddaughter to play on playground. She had so much fun she hated to leave. This time, I brought my daughter to see her boyfriend that moved to Del City. He likes to take her out to eat and we usually stop at a park before heading home. We waited to come today till it started to cool down. The kids was wanting to ride the paddleboats ($12.00/45 min. ride up to 4 people in case you're wondering, they stop at 8:30pm) today but it was going to be a 45 min. wait. So we're not doing that this evening, instead I'm sitting in the shade by the water and the kids are walking around. I had no clue that her boyfriend was so scared of water either. Usually we see a lot of people walking their dogs here too or going to the dog park but not today. I like the lights here at night, they're so beautiful, though I think we'll just stay today till around 8:30pm so we don't get home too late. If you ever wanting to come to a park this is one of the newest, nicest ones there is in Oklahoma City. It's massive in size and contains a lot of things to do. We're repeat visitors here.

I just love the beauty of Scissortail Park. My hubby and I enjoyed opening day of OSU-OKC Farmers Market on April 3, 2021. We enjoyed the numerous vendors and got some fresh produce, and other yummy treats! It was nice to get out and catch the start of Spring starting to bloom. I wish I lived closer to be able to enjoy this park all season long. We definitely will be back!!

Sunday Afternoon Stroll in the Park! We parked just south of the park and walked northward near the paddle boats and pond, past the newly opened dog park, and beyond the flowers and hillside, to an open meadow. I can't wait to see how the flowers bloom in the spring and summer! The grasses were flowing with the wind in graceful movements, as if dancing while we walked merrily by. There was a little cafe house, but it hadn't yet opened. I hope it sells pastries and coffee! Well done, OKC!

Had a blast at this park!! Enjoy the water, lights, food, vendors and big open grass area to just enjoy the beautiful warm evening! Easy parking and a lot to do! Beautiful place to see and explore for our OKC trip for sure!! Every time we are in town I love driving under the scissor tail bridge to see the colors!!

A great outdoor space. Perfect for an afternoon walk. I especially enjoyed walking across both bridges. Parking along Hudson street is best. The dog park is tiny and I wish they had dedicated more space for bigger dogs. The paddle boats look like fun. I enjoyed observing the water fountain/splash zone. It's a bit of a drive from North OKC so I probably won't visit that often. I thought the rain water collection circles were cool. I missed opening night but I look forward to attending future outdoor concerts. I recommend taking a picture at the top of the hill because you'll have a nice backdrop of downtown. The playground looks fun and that's where most of the activity was during my visit.

We only got to explore a small portion of it but what we did get to see was awesome. The park is unique enough to make it a little different but with a lot of of the typical equipment like slides and sandboxes. We just happened to go when the Night Market was happening. It was the perfect night for it. I hope to get to make another visit. Bonus: they had a cute Fall set up with hay bales and pumpkins.

Wow - this park literally has something for everyone. We came looking for a place for the kids to enjoy while we were passing through and I now find myself wishing I could stay all day! Outdoor skating rink, splash pad, creative/aesthetic equipment for kids to play on, beautiful pond area to rent paddle boats and canoes, a dog park, a fitness station, great walking trails, snack areas...I would bring my kids here all the time if I lived here.

What to do on a hot OKC day? Head on down to Scissortail for some family fun. Our family was in town for a few days and decided we needed some activities for the kids/grandkids and heard about the park. OKC is hot so a splash pad seemed like a good idea. Scissortail looks to be a great spot with several outdoor options (splash pad, running/walking track, playground and activity field.) I'd heard that OKC had been doing alot of investing in its downtown area and it's all true. Modern, clean, accessible and varied-their work is certainly worth of commending. Because of its age, the park had smaller trees and therefore very few real shade options. I had a huge golf umbrella so brought it along for some personal shade-If I was a local I'd bring a popup canopy and rule the park like a OG. Park staff make you feel like they are paying attention to the area and we felt safe. The only thing OKC could make a little better is offering free parking in downtown, perhaps the fees make supporting the area possible-if so fair trade off but, parking can be an issue if you're not ready or prepared. Great job OKC, you're doing some good things.

The three kiddos had a blast!! We needed to get some energy out before the weather gets bad. The bathrooms were super clean. There's construction going on across the street so the parking kinda sucks right now. I'm glad for the fence around the little kid area. There are MANY picnic tables and lots of different spots to play in. It is wheelchair and stroller friendly. I liked the sink next to the covered picnic area and all the trash cans. We will be back!

What a fun park! This park was designed with children in mind. We are from out of town and needed a place to waste some time. It was a rainy day so we had the majority of the place to ourselves. There were lots of different climbing elements, some creative and others much more traditional. There was a nice covered patio area equipped with concessions and a bathroom that was well maintained. I couldn't quite tell since it was cold and the water was off, but it looked like a water stream ran through part of it for water sensory! Such a neat place!

Ready to experience all this park has to offer! Rolling hills, food venues, children's playground, pond, drinks, what more do you need. All in the heart of downtown OKC. World class event center being built ans hotel next door. More to come as I learn more.

Hands down my favorite outdoor space in all of Oklahoma City! It just keeps getting better and better! I've been in all seasons and there is something remarkable no matter when you visit! From the native plants, thoughtful walking trails, food trucks, market events. It's wonderful! I love the Farmer's Market & the Christmas Holiday events have been spectacular!

The playground area is awesome! So many different spaces for the kids to play, and we loved the big open grassy area too. Such a good addition to OKC!

Loved this park. The splash pad alone was a good reason to visit with littles but the playground and paddle boats were nice too. We enjoyed lunch at Spark which was good and walked around a bit.

First time visitor...what a clean, beautiful, and wonderful area. I am handicapped, so I loved the dog park! Plenty of parking close to the gates...easy to open gates...clean and beautiful atmosphere next to the lake...water fountain for all sized dogs...park benches and fencing that small dogs like mine cannot escape from! Even though I live in NW OKC, it is more than worth the drive.#OKC 10

I am overwhelmingly ecstatic that OKC invested in such a great green gathering space! I could go on and on about the great things here (spectacular kids playground, concert space, walking trails, food trucks, farmers market, paddle boats). But today I'll just talk about the dog park! The dog park is on the smaller side, but still great. There are two different sections (one for smaller dogs, one for larger). They placed nice rock stacks for dogs to climb; and my dog loved it. I'd suggest bringing a ball for your pup to play with. The best part of the dog park here is that you can take your pup on a nice leashed walk around Scissortail or even a couple blocks further to Myriad Gardens. I just can't wait for the trees to grow in over the next few years. Scissortail is going to be a true oasis!

Have been there to see great live concerts at night however, took the family sat to check out the farmers market and walk the park in the morning and mid day. It was an amazing fun, relaxing time. Farmers market had a wonderful selection of fresh veggies, there was really unusual hand made jewelry, plants , bbq ribs etc, kettle corn, great healthy dog treats and more for sale. The park is super dog friendly.. I wish I had brought my dogs that day. Will be back!

It's a very beautiful park, very friendly and busy at the same time you are looking for a spot to have a picnic and relax this is the park!!
