Portland Restaurants and Food Carts as Zodiac Signs - Eater Portland

"This dreamy, maximalist Southeast Portland restaurant exudes Pisces, with imaginative dishes that incorporate countless different house-made components. The names of each of the dishes (Ziggy Stardust On a Big Ol’ Boat, Important Helmet for Outer Space) capture the creativity of a Pisces, and owners Jessie Aron and Colin McArthur have the open-hearted public presence often associated with the sign." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

I absolutely love eating here on my lunch break from work. They are quick and efficient with getting the hot meal out to me fast. I absolutely love their fries and club sandwiche is a must have with a fresh home made milkshake shake on the side who could go wrong! The wait staff is amazing and very friendly. The owner is very nice as well. Its always clean and the natural sunlight threw the windows is awesome when your setting people watching out the windows!

Portions were much bigger than I expected! I got the grape feta salad and it was huge and delicious, good amount of dressing, and enough toppings to last the entire greens base. Partner got the French dip with French fries and the fries were AMAZING, would go back just for the French fries. All of the wait staff we interacted with provided excellent service. We were in a bit of a rush and were able to get in and out fairly quickly. Thank you again for your wonderful food and service.

This review is long overdue. I’ve always had excellent service here anytime I’ve come to this establishment. The customer service is amazing and the food is impeccable. The dining staff is attentive to your needs and flexible with seating arrangements. On top of all that they’re the best with the pets!

We just returned from a fabulous meal at Sckavone's. We hadn't been there in over a year, but were in the area so we stopped in. We got a table right away. They were short-staffed, so it took a minute for our drinks to arrive and for our food order to be taken, but that's OK. Our server apologized for the wait, but since she was also the bartender who made the best Old Fashioned, we didn't mind. We ordered the smoked salmon appetizer which was off-the-hook delicious. Our party of 4 quickly made it disappear. Our meals arrived shortly after. One thing my husband judges restaurants on is how hot the food is when it arrives at the table. This was HOT! I had to eat my side salad first to let the crispy fried chicken sandwich cool off a bit. My husband said his meatloaf sandwich was crazy-good, and my son-in-law's fish and chips (with a side of bacon/cheese french fries) were perfect. We'll be back soon - hopefully for brunch - and of course, another Old Fashioned. :-)

Sckavone's Restaurant is located in our neighborhood and we appreciate the fact that the family and building have been here a long time, going through various iterations that ultimately resulted in the restaurant. We like the historic photos inside and the staff is friendly and charming. The food is delicious, hearty "old fashioned" style cooking (but with modern touches) and the portions are large. We really enjoy the BBQ ribs and fried chicken combo platter. The mashed potatoes are addictive! We often order the grape feta salad or the beet salad--both are refreshing, and large enough to share if we're also getting our own entrees.

Google
Absolutely stellar! My brother and I came here and split a handful of different things, and we were both thrilled with it. Had an awesome Burger, absolutely fantastic meatloaf and possibly the best macaroni and cheese I've had in years. The owner or manager was very friendly, the place was clean, and you get a ton of food. I will certainly come back and try a few more things. Their chicken and waffles sounds fantastic, although it's only available during breakfast hours.

Google
All roads lead back to Scavone’s for me. It’s so good. I keep meaning to get the meatloaf but beat salad is just too good to pass up!!Amazing- never disappoints! Such a great neighborhood spot for dinner and drinks. I’ve had almost everything on the menu and it’s all been great. Excellent value and friendly fast service completes the trifecta. My favs: Ribs, fried chicken, beet salad and Shirley’s Manhattan!

Google
It was a lovely local restaurant. The food was okay, but it made my stomach hurt a little bit after I ate it. It is very quiet during weekends; not a lot of people go, which is a plus because it is not crowded. It also has some outdoor seating.

Yelp
Took my Mom to Sckavones for a birthday lunch. After a friendly greeting, we enjoyed delicious lunches including a fresh cobb salad and tasty chicken club. Easy access and quaint atmosphere will definitely bring us back.

Yelp
Began a Yelp account just to warn people about this place. The host, a bleary-eyed older guy, seemed like he's better off staying home and drinking there. The food was the cheapest, most thrown together, and not thought-out pile of food, seemingly cooked by someone equally as day drunk as the host. Peeked into the kitchen thru the service window and was appalled at the mess and the caked on grease, everywhere. the equipment was filthy, years out since a single deep clean, obviously. Scones obviously frozen cheap trash. This place is remarkably bad. The Bloody Mary was great though, guess these people know how to make a drink. Too bad no one can cook.

Gayle K.

Yelp
We used to love this place. It had good food, big portions, and great prices The last few times I have eaten there, I did not care for the food. It used to be great diner food. Now it is more like greasy, overcooked food..Bummer. Street parking. Maybe it was off days.

Yelp
Dropped in for Friday evening dinner, 6:15-ish. We were seated immediately, all booths were full but plenty of tables open. Both of us had viewed the online menu so we ordered immediately. Water and tableware came quickly and we sat back to appreciate the ambiance that is Skavone's. I don't use the phrase lightly but this is the second time that I've called a place "quintessential" Portland. This restaurant has been around seemingly forever yet it continues to provide a quality meal at a reasonable price. And, if it's made any changes other than to its menus, they're not noticeable. This night I had the Steelhead with asparagus and polenta. At least that's what the online menu said. That I received Brussels sprouts instead of asparagus was not unexpected considering the asparagus season ended a couple of months ago. The fish was nicely cooked although smothered in caper cream sauce. Polenta was cute little triangles of goodness. So, four stars. Minus one because prices on the online menu need to be updated. Also, maybe put the cream caper sauce on the side? Of course we'll be back.

Yelp
Always a smiling face to greet you! Good selection of well prepared foods. I have been a handful of times dine in, and take out. Everything from the veggie scramble to Caesar salad is on point, portobello sandwich yummm YES! It's a cozy spot where you feel right at home, thanks Sckavone's!

Yelp
Used to come here when my friend lived around the corner, but haven't been in a while so while we were nearby and wanted food I thought to come in. Really glad we stopped in because I wanted their smoked salmon benny. My partner got some kind of egg dish, but I think he got it mostly for the gravy, which he very much enjoyed. My BIL got a sandwich that hit the spot and I had some of his fries, which were so tasty! I feel like the service (which was prompt and friendly) as well as the food are still as good as I remembered. Plus I had so much salmon I didn't feel cheated when I gave some to my cats at home later.

James W.

Yelp
Quaint diner. Friendly considerate staff. Deliciously prepared American comfort foods. I will be returning.

Yelp
Solid brunch spot, but even better dinners. Very neighborhood vibe when you go in. Great portions. The customer service is second to none. Family favorite for years now. Keep up the good work!

Yelp
We had dinner there last night and it was great family cooking dinners - I would call it tasty comfort food - large portions - affordable and we ate our two entrees for two nights. If your looking for a home cooked meal that won't break your wallet then check these folks out ! Some great old photos of portland are hanging on the wall of old building - dining hall Bon Appetite Ronn just Ronn The Hole in the wall food guy

Yelp
I dropped in about 30 minutes before closing and was greeted almost immediately. The chicken curry soup was like so good. Flavor went crazy! The Christmas tree was such a vibe! You should def go to this old timey diner and get the curry soup

Yelp
Always great, reminds me of home. Could use a deep clean but I'm Still coming even if I gotta wait. It's that good.

Yelp
Worst Corned beef hash ever! Call it by its correct name New England boiled dinner! First hash I've ever had that never saw a grill or a sauté pan! Not an ounce of caramelization boiled potatoes on sautéed onions topped with steamed corned beef! Yuck there was even water on the plate! Come-on! Toast was adequate but butter had been out and had separated leaving mealy balls of fat crusting the remaining solids! Waitperson never checked to see if meal was ok only offered a box to take home my nearly untouched plate! Two stars are for the Bloody Mary's which were really good! Sadly not enough to convince me to come back!

Yelp
Great food service and very clean , drinks were excellent.....the chicken sandwich and rib dinner was out of this world

Yelp
Amazing spot for weekend lunch and brunch. Great to have full breakfast and lunch menus all the time. Big shout out for the kids menu- great prices and our kids love all the options! Great service and excellent staff! Food wise, we recommend the grilled chicken club; amazing and the chicken is perfectly done each time. We have turned Sckavone's into a staple for our family, lucky it's in the Richmond neighborhood.

Corey L.

Yelp
Finally coming here after being in the neighborhood for decades. Decent environment, the food looked affordable on the menu and then I got it (huevos rancheros) and no wonder, it was the cheapest ingredients you could buy. small portion and sloppily thrown together. Greasy fingerprints all over my plate was a lil gross. Not impressed, probably won't be back.

Yelp
Sckavone's represents everything I love about the Portland brunch seen. The restaurant itself is a no frills kind of place where you would expect to find a very mediocre breakfast and and lunch menu. However, the food is. on. point. I ordered the smoked salmon benedict and it was literally the best benedict I'v ever had (and I love me some eggs benny). Their house made hollandaise isn't as thick or creamy as I'm accustomed to, but it paired very well with rich and smokey salmon. They also brought delicious little cranberry scones to our table before ordering which were so warm and fresh. Additionally, I enjoyed their coffee which can sometimes be overlooked by brunch spots. Some additional bonuses include ample parking, and a relatively short wait time to be seated. I arrived with a group of four others and were able to be seated within fifteen minutes (on a Sunday at 10:00am). If you're looking for an affordable, unpretentious brunch spot with excellent food and friendly/efficient service, this is the place to go. I would definitely return!

Yelp
Old school diner with friendly service and tasty food! Not much for decor and ambiance, but everything else made up for that. Diners like this are getting harder to find, and this one is worth seeking out if you're after true comfort food.
google avatar

Laurie C.

Yelp
The service was great, the space was nice. I was really gunning for the CFS and eggs, but they were out, so I ordered the farmers omelette because I was hungry and the last to order. I definitely will go back and try again!
google avatar

Chris C.

Yelp
I've been here twice and the food has been consistently amazing. We've had the bbq platter, steak, steelhead, mac and cheese, and hummus appetizer and all have been great. The fried chicken was particularly moist and nicely breaded. The staff and owner are very welcoming and happy to accommodate. The atmosphere is very homey and warm like a classic American diner. Big recommendation!

Yelp
One of our favorite places!!!!! Every single item on the menu is excellent, staff is amazing, LOVE this place. Hope this wonderful restaurant is here for another 70+years!

Yelp
Love this place!! It's one of our favorite breakfast spots even though they serve food all day. There isn't anything too fancy or unique here but they make delicious homestyle feel good food! One of the breakfast perks is the homemade scones that every table gets upon arrival, they are fresh and warm and just the right little treat to enjoy while looking over the menu. Great coffee too! The staff is super friendly and it's a nice simple place. Very welcoming. Their breakfast burrito and chicken and waffles are some of our go to orders. Will update with photos next time we go!

Yelp
Not doubt best smoked salmon Benedict I've ever had! Will come back every time I'm in town. Service incredible. Pets friendly (they love them) Great outdoor tables.

Yelp
Sckavones's was with us through the Covid restrictions, and I was with them. They were able to deliver, and keep delivering, good, quality food, good service, and good prices. In 2022, they are still doing it right.
google avatar

Ivonne T.

Yelp
Above and beyond! Service was excellent! Everyone is so nice and welcoming right when you walk in , it's not the forced fake nice you see in some other restaurants it was genuine and you could feel it! Walking around the neighboring little shops and stores this place has a very cooling relaxing environment not to mention how great the food was ! I ordered The morrocan coffee to start with which settled nicely with the Chicken&Waffles. The chicken was some of the best I have tried it was crisp while juicy on the inside excellent flavor and not overwhelming , other places you can taste all the oil and grease and to my surprise this chicken had no excess of oil , with just the right amount of crispiness. Overall Sckavone's is a must try Portland experience restaurant! Astounding service provided by my Server Tiff!!!
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
I came here with my family of 7 on a Saturday afternoon for brunch. It really wasn't that busy and they had no problem with such a big group coming in. Half of us ordered the Chicken and Waffles, which all came with large servings. I ordered the strapazzare which was delicious and came out super hot. The fries were good. Overall an inexpensive and convenient place for a weekend brunch!

Kim F.

Yelp
The greeting we got coming in was less than pleasant. The food was mediocre at best. The ambiance was terrible - it was dirty (the entire place), the bar was being used for storage and unusable, and it just felt depressing to be in there. It's too bad because it's got some cool history. Clean it up, make the diner bar a feature that people see lit up from outside, and have friendly staff. I won't be coming here again unless there's a drastic change.

Yelp
I seriously love this place. When I first moved to town, I lived right around the corner and would frequent it on the weekends. I visit less often now, but I'm happy to say the quality of food and service continues to be outstanding. The food always tastes great and they seem to have a pretty decent selection of varied items on the menu, depending on your mood. I think I might even consider this place a "hidden" gem. Somehow, with as great as the food is, you can still show up right in the middle of what would be a brunch rush where, anywhere else you might have to wait an hour, but here? I don't think I've ever waited for than 20 minutes. Today we showed up at 11 and were seated immediately. I know how they do it but I love that they do. For those who like a Bloody Mary, they've got a cute little bar where you can choose your own toppings. I typically order the chicken fried steak or the eggs benedict wherever I go, here included, but today I branched out and got the chicken and waffles. What I unexpectedly appreciated was that the chicken is actually a cutlet which tasted great and also was a lot easier to eat considering the sticky nature of waffles. My friend ordered the granola and yogurt and it is a hefty portion. Not that there was ever a question, but I definitely plan to keep coming back - hopefully more often.
google avatar

Amy K.

Yelp
Best brunch ever! Morning cocktails are so good! Especially the Spanish coffee! Nothing I wouldn't recommend here and I've pretty much had everything on the menu!
google avatar

Michelle G.

Yelp
Sckavone's I wanted to like you. I really did. It is just when the first thing that happens is waiting as the two front of house members have no system in place for new guests.Other than a sign that say's "Wait to be seated even at the bar." This would be okay in a bustling establishment with patrons taking up place and needing reservations or even busy night of walk ins. But this was not as it had more of a quality of a morgue with the quiet not so happy faces of the customers eating and half the establishment empty. All of this is concerning but not unusual so I trudged on. From here things did the usual Portland thing of being adequate but not good. Be it the appetizer that had gravy that looked more white vomit on cheap frozen fries. The gravy wasn't a really nice creamy sausage or white country gravy that usually comes with gravy fries that adorn menus through out the South. This would be okay if it wasn't covered in paprika to try and mask the bland under peppered and salted gravy. To the fore mentioned frozen French fries that where not even salted before being drenched in the vomit gravy. Sadly because of the gravy situation on the fries I had the pleasure of having it again a few minutes later with the mashed potatoes that came with my fried chicken dinner. Which mind you was odd to me. When I see fried chicken on a menu that does not detail boneless chicken. I expect bone in chicken well folks Sckavone's does not do that. They do have listed a boneless chicken option as well. So maybe this is a oversight or just bad menu planning. But needless to say that was a disappointment. The second part of this sad mess was the chicken was over cooked dry and barely palatable. Hoping for a reprieve from something I tried the mixed veggies. Which not only made me ask for some herbs and butter. But also some talent in the kitchen as this was sad on multiple fronts. Be it in the flavor to how some parts where soggy and others totally fine. As if they have a container that they reheat the veggies in or keep them warm and add to them as the day goes. Either which I couldn't enjoy them. Now we get to the potatoes which where just plain no salt, pepper, barely milk and butter potatoes. That as Southern girl I felt truly insulted as these where not only disgusting they had the vomit gravy that did not help at all. My wife's meal was only different in not having the crappy gravy and getting a meatloaf that was decent. Not great as it was more Italian with a marinara sauce on top and presented with American sides like the aforementioned potatoes and mixed veggies. In this case its a total lack of food knowledge. This meal would be so much better with a side salad and spaghetti. As it would play on the fun nature that you have already started. Could even call it New Age Spaghetti and Meatballs. With that said the meatloaf was the only thing I enjoyed and even then it was not to great. I do not know about their breakfast and brunch food and deals. I can honestly say to stay away for their dinner as you can get better from your kitchen and a little help from a oven a packed meals.
google avatar

Michelle S.

Yelp
Ordered from them twice now. Very pleased both times. Husband ordered grilled chicken club both times & enjoyed it. I ordered fish & chips once, smoked gouda & chicken linguini this last time. I like the linguini better. We are adding this as a go-to for take out. We look forward to dining in soon too

Yelp
Skavone's is a long-time favorite for all the right reasons. We love this family-style diner precisely because of what it is not. It isn't prentious, trendy, fusion, artsy, or edgy. What Skavone's offers is a little step back from the foodie scene, excellent comfort food, and terrific service, in a building that has been the hub of the neighborhood for a very long time. We drop by regularly for the fried chicken, which is served up piping hot, with mashed potatoes and gravy, with sometimes good side-veggies. The salad is always excellent as well! Expect ample servings and a feeling like you stepped back to those diners you remember from your childhood!
google avatar

J J.

Yelp
Solid American Diner food. Came her for breakfast and got the basic bacon, eggs and fruit. I wasn't expecting much, I was just grabbing food before an appointment and it was down the street. The food was just basic diner food, done traditionally, which I happen to like. The waiter was really nice and friendly, and she greeted everyone familiarly as people came I it was obvious a lot of them were regulars. So that lent a sort of "Cheers" vibe to the place. (Here's where everyone under 30 has no idea what I'm talking about) Anyway, it was a warm place with good food and nice people. Can't really go wrong with that. The fruit was a little squishy. But I've never had diner fruit that wasn't ‍

Yelp
Our favorite local restaurant, good food, reasonable prices, friendly staff. So glad they made it through the pandemic!

Yelp
A Sublime Brunch Experience A dear friend treated me to brunch at Sckavone's this past Monday. What a delightful, memorable experience! It wasn't very busy at all (around 10:30 a.m.), our server was attentive and personable, and the menu brimmed with tempting dishes. I only have brunch once a year as a rule, and usually choose either a hash or eggs Benedict plate. I wavered until settling on eggs Benedict. The meal was truly delicious, served promptly, and we were even brought a small additional saucer of hollandaise sauce per our saucy (pun intended) request. The English muffin melted in my mouth, the Virginia ham was so tasty and not too salty, the hollandaise sauce a party in my mouth. Cubed, fried potatoes were a perfect compliment to the main dish. Their menu is full of comfort food dishes with a focus on Southern foods. I'll definitely return for another home cooked meal!
google avatar

Kristi B.

Yelp
It was walking distance from my sister's and brother in laws. We came on a Saturday around 1pm. Great comfort food. Fresh berry scones oh so perfect for a cold day. Kid friendly- they let us stash the little wagon and little bike inside while we waited. They also had a kid menu. My family's coffee and water cups never were empty. We ordered an assortment of omelets, scrambles and Benedicts. All were great. If I was in my vegan mood they had tofu options. My sister likes that nobody knows about this place. So I'm doing my big sister duty and posting about it on Yelp and annoying her at the same time.
google avatar

Wendy S.

Yelp
First time here. It's a lovely old type diner. Great weekday brunch with cheap drink specials. Got the Gouda scramble which was delicious but the onions could have been cooked more. Will ask next time since we'll certainly be back. Would love to try out the dinner menu. Looks like satisfying comfort food.
google avatar

Maro S.

Yelp
The service was way better than the food. I like food. I like good food. If "foodie" is now derogatory and a dirty word, then I guess go ahead and insult me. Scramble was overcooked and lack-luster. When you overcook eggs, the egginess takes over the entire scramble and you can't taste the other ingredients. Burrito was so much raw (not actually raw) tortilla -- too big for the filling. why do so many places find it hard to sear the burrito after rolling so you get that nice toasty flavor? At the very least give it a bit of a warming/browning on the griddle before filling. House potatoes were flavorful and the tiny scones are a nice touch. Our server was great! Attentive and patient with the decision-making process.
google avatar

Gwen R.

Yelp
By far the best Bloody Mary I've ever had. They also have a full bar of extra toppers for your bloody to serve yourself. I love that! The environment was awesome. Quick service, clean and loved the variety of the menu they had. Definitely coming back!!
google avatar

Malika U.

Yelp
We came here just for their meat skewer bloody Mary's. Cute little old fashioned restaurant with a great menu and lots of variety! Their portions are a good size and their scones are delicious.

Tim Z.

Yelp
the food was extremely salty, and no one came to refill our drinks

A C.

Yelp
This place fits the cliche, "don't judge a book by the cover." It looks like a simple diner and I expected something different because of that first impression -- and I was so happily wrong. We had a very delicious brunch. My omelet was fabulous because the veggies were very fresh. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Nothing was greasy, everything was fresh and the service was very good.
google avatar

Yelp
4/14......I only had time for a biscuit/egg/coffee. I will be back for breakfast. To the two children mothers that need to teach their boys manner lessons. Don't run and jump on the seats in a restaurant! It's NOT an gymnasium. Have we lost our civility? I managed to get the boys attention...."stop running in the restaurant" That was easy.
google avatar

Yelp
Meat Skewer Bloody Mary, with Bloody Mary Bar....need I say more? Can't wait for the rest!
google avatar

Jered P.

Yelp
Went in about 9 AM and there was lots of seating available. Nothing pretentious about this place. It has a really nice old school feel to it and the staff was very attentive and friendly. Food prices are fair and the menu had a lot of options. Will be coming back.

Yelp
I Always get nervous leaving reviews for my favorite places because I don't want them to be overwhelmed with tourists that flood restaurants after a good review that make it so I can't enjoy my place anymore. But I feel like that needs to be said on the top of a mountain for ALLLL to hear. You guys this place is amazing. I was on a hunt for a chill spot on a cold winter evening with big windows to view outside and also that serves meatloaf. Haha I know sounds weird right?! Such a strange request but it was what I wanted. This place hit all the marks. Placed on a city block corner with HUGE wall to wall windows for people watching and the best freaking tasting meatloaf I've ever had. I mean I thought I made a good meatloaf. NOPE this place makes a delish meatloaf with a ton of flavor and very juicy. The mashed potatoes were also super good. I wasn't a fan of the salad but mainly because i was wanting a old school diner cheap shit iceberg lettuce salad without all the crazy leaves and fancies. For those that want a "fancy" salad this place makes a HUGE beautiful salad that is made with great quality lettuce. My bf had the ribs they were also insanely good and he's picky with his bbq. HUGE portions here guys. HUGE. We ordered a appetizer and a house salad before dinner and had to take home most of our meal. All flavors were on point. Portions were massive. Service was great, our server was kind and fast and rocked! Her name was Deb. She alone will make us want to come bacK. They even had a nice assortment of herbal teas too and Guinness beer which is a biggie for me. If you're wanting a cocktail they have a full bar. Overall I would highly recommend this place if you're wanting a home cooked meal with large portions with a cozy and inviting feel to it.

Julia N.

Yelp
Drinks were fantastic and very reasonably priced. Service was excellent. However, hands down worst corned beef hash I've ever had. Corned beef was ok. Not great, but fine. The potatoes were absolutely the worst breakfast potatoes I have encountered. They were basically completely unseasoned steamed sliced red potatoes. Warm, but mushy, no crispness, no salt, no onions or peppers. This does not qualify as hash. I haven't sent a meal back in years, but this was an abomination. I wanted to love this place, but unfortunately I was left sad and disappointed.
google avatar

Bee F.

Yelp
Sckavone's is reliable, good, upscale diner fare in a relaxed and unpretentious setting which is matched by equally unpretentious prices and absolutely MASSIVE portions. Drinks? We love their hot buttered rum. It is one of the best we've had anywhere. How good? Better than Observatory. Yeah, that good. Food? We've enjoyed: - The New York Steak is huge, always arrives cooked just as ordered, and has very good flavor with none of that "off" flavor typical of so many supermarket-bought steaks. The mashed are hearty and the green beans fresh. - The chicken fried chicken with gravy is again huge, flavorful, and the coating crispy - The Grilled Seafood Special, when they are having it, has a surprisingly generous portion of mussels and shellfish, very nicely prepared. - Breakfasts once again... HUGE. Good hash browns, love the free scones and French Toast is very good. Chicken and waffles may not be my thing, but it is very well prepared for what it is. - Mac 'n Cheese is yummy, creamy, cheesy good. - Ravioli was surprisingly good for a non-Italian place, quite a surprise. For two of us, with drinks, even if I'm having steak, we usually come in well under $30.

Yelp
What a cute little diner that was a former pharmacy is here I love all the old photos and the old ice cream parlor bar seating. If you are looking for old-school comfort food this is a good place to go. It tastes like grandmas cooking so don't expect anything too inventive here and nothing to blow you away. If you want meatloaf like grandma made, you got it! I hope this place stays here forever, it's done it's job for over a century. Portland born and raised, I get to be a bit snarky and protective of Portland institutions like this :)

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this place. The only issue I had was a little too much salt on the fries, but that's pretty common for me. The service was good, the grilled chicken BLT was delicious, and the artwork (photos of Portland at different time periods) was very cool! I'll have to go back for brunch sometime!

Yelp
Iconic Portland breakfast place. We went on a busy Sunday with bags packed and every place was bustling. We waited and they have a coffee bar set up for us in limbo. I loved it. We were sat and greeted by beautiful people everywhere; I swear I could even spot Juliette Lewis serving mimosas. They have different juices to customize your mimosa; we tried grapefruit and pineapple and both were delightful. Two chicken fried steaks and home fries. Everything two people could ask for. It was a cute place with phenomenal food and exceptional service. I would come back again to Portland, and visit here for a bite to eat. Thanks for a great experience.
