"Come hungry to this Irish restaurant in Adams Village and dig into a heaping traditional breakfast. The traditional Irish breakfast comes with bacon, Irish sausages, black and white puddings (despite the names, these are actually others varieties of sausage), baked beans, fried mushrooms, tomatoes, breakfast potatoes, and brown bread. Tons of food? Absolutely. Take some home, or opt for a half-portion. Other treats include Irish sausage rolls, and of course the usual American breakfast fare is on offer, too." - Nathan Tavares

I have been in this area for over 26 years so glad to see so many new great restaurants to choose from ! Scobies is a cool, cute, airy and vibrant place. Very modern.. friendly staff. A large bar. At the bar, you will wait a little for a drink not because it’s busy because it’s a pretty young staff and they don’t know how to approach immediately to offer drinks .Perfect time of year to go St. Patrick’s Day My husband felt as though the portions could be larger, but the food was good.

Scobies was billed as an authentic Irish Pub in the middle of Adams Corner and our group was excited to visit. We go there midweek and just after lunch. We sat ourselves with the blessing of the bartender. Then, we had to wait for a waiter. Because it took so long, the conscientious bartender came over and took our drink order. The Guinness was unbelievably good and creamy! We didn't quite get the Irish pub feel at all. More of the group arrived and the waiter finally came over and took more drink orders. We waited almost 10 minutes for the additional drinks. The lunch order was put in and came in a timely fashion. The groups overall feeling on the food was the price didn't match the quality. The waiter could have been more attentive as we had to waive him down every time we needed something (it was not crowded at all). We were underwhelmed, but will give Scobies another shot.

Place has a beautiful atmosphere! Having said that, food came out cold, and the rashers were over done. The bar was way too busy to have one bartender. The food runners often appeared confused on where food needed to go. Hopefully they get it together in the coming weeks. I'm rooting for this place!

Great place for warm Irish comfort food. Love the croquettes and garlic butter steak bites! Cozy interior, fun live music. Upbeat but chill atmosphere.

Incredible space, friendly service, decent food, and INSANE prices. We’ve done a dinner, a lunch, and just got breakfast to go. Food is always satisfactory, but dinner for two was $130 (not terrible for Boston), lunch was $50 (sandwiches and coffees), and now to go order of a breakfast sandwich, two coffees and an $8 yogurt parfait for $34 might be the end of my patronage here. EDIT- on top of the disappointing parfait, they forgot my bacon on a bacon egg and cheese. ✌️

This place is the best, hands down! Service was top notch and the food was delicious. If you’re looking for a great meal in a cozy atmosphere, this is the spot (bonus points for the live Irish music if you time it right). My girlfriend and I moved to the neighborhood recently and Scobies has become a weekly staple for us to grab a bite and a drink at.

Really great Irish music here. And the early evening dinner time session is perfect for listening. Fish and chips and a Guinness is about as good as it gets. Aoife and David and friends play some of the best music in the Boston area.

I want to go out to eat. I really do! But then I have experiences like this. Ugh… I can’t remember the last time I sent food back to the kitchen. (It’s possible I never have) until now. Ordered the buttery steak bites - and basically they were inedible. Couldn’t even chew them. Awful The cottage pie wasn’t much better. A mound of fry mashed potatoes over a thin blend of under seasoned mystery meat. With a side order of what seemed to be peas and carrots out of the freezer bag. I’m not even kidding. I was embarrassed for the place. Our server was so sweet and nice and they took the steak bites off the menu (we slogged down the cottage pie) Nice decor, the Guinness pour was on point. Sadly, won’t return because of just terrible food experience. On top of that, $22 for cottage pie? It’s literally peasant food. I give up.
