Scofflaw Brewing Says They Didn’t Send the Free Beer For Trump Supporters Press Release | Eater Atlanta

"I found the brewery's official response emphatic: Scofflaw Brewing Co. pinned the blame on U.K. PR firm Frank PR, calling the morning's posts "inaccurate" and demanding the agency take accountability after an initial press release—later retracted by Frank—promoted free drinks to Trump supporters at BrewDog's U.K. sites. Owner Matt Shirah called the original release "absolute nonsense," insisted it was sent without his consent or review, labeled it "fiction," and emphasized that "no one at Scofflaw Brewing or those associated with our brand, is now — or has ever been, rooted in hate. We do not tolerate hate — that's just idiotic." The statement also touted the brewery's "hard work" and "humble beginnings," said it could "care less about your political viewpoint, only if you like our beer," and noted the partnership with BrewDog (dating to 2017) to ship Basement IPA and POG (passionfruit, orange and guava) to BrewDog's 36 U.K. locations; Scofflaw also brews and cans some beers at BrewDog’s Ohio facility. Scofflaw declined to comment on the future of the partnership." - Beth McKibben

Thank you Scofflaw Brewing Co for another wonderful and successful event. We have used your event space multiple times now for our POP UP camps @burnbootcampcolumbusga. The space is always prepared, cleaned and easy to access. The staff is always professional and super friendly. We love it. We will be back again soon!

Excellent selection of locally brewed beers on tap. We're told this location in Columbus is smaller than the three main Scofflaw locations in metro Atlanta (which we haven't experienced). Very friendly and prompt service. We stopped by on a recent weeknight, and practically every other customer was playing cornhole in the back :-)

Nice brewery! I’ve been to all three Scofflaw locations, and this is the best. Staff are quick and attentive, the space itself is very nice, there’s a water station, and the bathrooms are clean. Ample parking in the free parking lot too. Had the seasonal Oktoberfest releases; both were solid. The only reason it gets four stars is because it’s not quite five star beer, but it’s definitely a five star space.

Fantastic location and venue. Plenty of space, open door, great beer. Lots of parking. Recommend highly.

We don't get in town often anymore so it's been hard to get here. We tried about a year a half ago and couldn't even find a parking space, so we left. I guess they're doing something right, and we were just so tired and had 100+ mi ahead of us that day. We're so glad we got to hit it early on a Friday. Lots of seating options whether it's inside, our or adjacent. Bbq across the hall is a bonus, but we already ate. Decent choice of beers and friendly staff. Great place to hang out with almost plenty of parking. 😉

One of the best, new establishments in town. The brews are tasty and very creative (my fav, the Transfusion). The atmosphere is fun and upbeat. The bartenders are knowledgeable. There are even games to play and plenty of tables that you can utilize for gatherings or socializing. It's definitely a must try!

What a fun brewery! They have your IPAs to the fruity beers and seltzers. I don’t like beer at all but I like they offer a variety for everyone. You can play games like foosball, corn hole, chess, ping pong you name it. They do not serve food here, but it looks like they have a food truck in the back parking lot so I’m assuming they’ll serve food on certain days.

Humongous space, which made a good reuse of an industrial/mechanical part of downtown. Spin-off from an Atlanta brewery, which still hasn't actually started to brew at this location as of Nov 2023. But a solid variety, including bold, hazy IPAs (including some from a friend's brewery). No food, but barbecue is next door. Lots of free games, too. Cool.
