A fantastic addition to downtown Hartford. Outstanding 50's theme ice cream shop, with simple food and a bakery in the back. Open on holidays after the parade. I recommend the 3 scoop turtle 🐢. Lots of old-fashioned snacks and memorabilia, they even USE a rotary phone.

The food is pretty simple but good. The facilities are classic soda fountain. The homemade ice cream is delicious!

Wonderful as always. Great flavors and atmosphere! Brought my brother here for his first time and he liked it but absolutely loved his shake he got. Kept commenting on how great it tasted and that he got like 2 shakes in 1 because the cup they use to mix it with has enough in it to pour 2 shakes. Glad someone else got to enjoy a place I've enjoyed many times. Amazing place with amazing people! Keep up the great work!

This is such a gem in Hartford!! It is decorated in a 50's diner style and had an amazing selection of ice cream flavors, all sorts of candy, unique treats, and a new bakery in the back! Everyone here is extremely friendly and once you go here, you'll fall in love!!

Super fun ice cream shop in Hartford with a wide variety of products (not only ice cream). It has all the vibes of a classic diner. The service is also good, they are very quick. Family friendly spot to check out.

Great locally owned old-fashioned ice cream shop with 32 flavors, all homemade. They hire local teens and teach them about service and doing a great job. 2 of my kids had their first job at Scoop. It takes a little longer than "fast food" but it is worth the wait every time! We love it!

The variety of in-house made ice creams, along with the old soda fountain feel make this one of our go to establishments in Hartford. The kids who work there are always friendly and smiling and interacting positively with the kids and families that are coming in.

Earlier in the day, my daughter had a traumatic day at a school because of a lock-down and all she wanted that evening was ice cream. We to Hartford--arrived at Scoop Deville; didn't realize it was closed because there were at least 4 families still inside (I counted)-- two tables with people, someone at the counter, another someone standing PLUS at least three other staffers just standing around. It was 8:06. "We're closed," the kid behind the counter tells us. I said, "UGH! We tried DQ and they were closed, too! We just want a quick cone." To which the teenager replied, "Well. Guess this isn't your night." EXCUSE me? I'm telling you right now; I've been a business owner and if had a store with customers, and a small family walked inside and all they wanted was a cone that would take 2 minutes to serve -- I would serve them. It was six minutes past closing. I will NEVER go back to this place, and you can rest assured I'll be spreading the word.

Love this place, great atmosphere. Tons of sweet treats and at least 25+ flavors of ice cream. Huge scoops that were more than enough. Price was very reasonable considering how large the scoops were. What a great place!

They serve 4 different non dairy egg products. Was able to enjoy treat along with group that eats ice cream! Excellent assortiment of different flavors. The cute shops meets the retro atmosphere and service was really quick and very friendly. We will be back

If you want the old ice cream shop feel, this is the place! It's so cute and quaint inside. They even have a fun candy case full of the fun candies we adults grew up on. It's a little pricier, but it is home made right there :) Definitely recommend checking out if you're in the area.

You haven't had ice cream till you've been to Scoop. Even better, they offer non-dairy options. All their goodies are made in house. You can't beat that. Hubbies new favorite- Oatmilk Vanilla Bean. Mine- Almondmilk Dark Chocolate Almond. Don't forget the classics - Superman, Choc Chip Cookie Dough, and more.

Amazing ice cream shop in downtown Hartford, you will feel like you've stepped back in time! The owners are great supporters of the community and it is a great place for people of all ages. I've cream is always top notch, and they always have a sorbet or some sort of ice cream for those that cannot have milk products, which is always appreciated. They have a limited food menu, but what they do have is always good. My favorite items to order are the butter pecan in a waffle cone, or any of their sorbets.

Go for the Nostalgia, but leave feeling you've eaten the Creamiest Ice Cream ever. Fresh nuts, a variety of candy, and yummy French fries. The service is top notch and personal. My hot fudge sundae was a party in my mouth. We are looking forward to our next visit!

Blast from the past! Super cute old fashioned style ice cream parlor. Both traditional and trendy new ice cream and sorbet. Some favorite flavors: Maple Bacon, Nerds in watermelon sorbet, Aztec Chocolate. Chocolate turtles and floats too. Friendly vibe with good service. Definitely worth the stop!

In the heart of downtown Hartford, this place is an absolute gem! My husband and I stopped by after checking out the scenic tower at Holy Hill this past Sunday. :: First Impression :: This place is just darn cute! The diner-style decor and seating really makes you think you've time traveled back a few decades. The place was clean and well-lit with a lot of seating! :: Menu/Price :: In addition to in-house made ice cream, they've got soups, chilis and other snacks! Everything was reasonably priced and well worth it. :: Order :: My husband and I ordered the banana split (see picture) and we got to choose our own flavors; toasted coconut, maple walnut and chocolate. It was DELICIOUS! I honestly didn't think we could finish it but we devoured it in no time. :: Service :: You can tell everyone that works there loves what they do! Smiles all around! :) :: Other notes :: There's ample street parking too.

We would give it more stars if we could. My son said he would rate it as many stars as there are in the known universe. The service was fantastic and we will be back for sure, many more times.

We've never had a bad experience here. Every time we've come, it's been busy, sometimes more than usual because we stop in during community events. The counter can get a bit confusing when it's so busy, but the staff does a good job of juggling it for their age. The selection is always changing, and they are sure to have a couple that you would never come across at a chain ice cream spot. We noticed the last time we were in that there are dog ice cream treats available. The seemed ab it pricey at first, but they are huge and could easily last 2-4 nights! My pups approved!

I love the ice cream and Emma is such of a nice worker and gives great customer service I had such a great time.

They have food too! Simple stuff like sandwiches, Mac and cheese, etc but a great lunch + treat stop for kids, parents, and everyone else.

This is one of the best ice cream places I've been to! They also offer hot dog, mac n cheese etc. You can get soda from a glass bottle or fountain. They have old time candies and bakery items. You can even pints of ice cream and milk! They even offer to make cakes for parties I beleive!

This is an amazing surprise we found in our new town of Hartford! Plenty of flavors, cool atmosphere, and something for everyone! It's also very inexpensive. I love how rich the flavors are. I always get the dark chocolate chip flavor - amazing!

Best ice cream shop around! Nostalgia galore! Spin some 45's in the jukebox while you enjoy the homemade ice cream flavors, old-fashioned fountain sodas and all the candy you loved as a kid. Great family fun!

Amazing amazing amazing! Such a cute little place and the owner was such a sweet man. The ice cream and shakes/Malts are really tasty and you must try the old fashioned soda! The prices are really affordable, especially the old fashioned candies. It feels just like you're back in the day.

Scoop Deville, great name great destination with cool murals, history section, candy counter, cinnamon roasted nuts of different types, pastries counter, and ice cŕeam counter with the loved flavoŕs like plus some unusual ones like honey lavender and maple bacon. The grandson of the owner waited on us and was a pleasure to meet. Great place a real serendipity.

Awesome place with 50's decor, old pics of Main St. Saw them on Discover Wisconsin tv show and worth the time to go there. Ice cream is delicious - had toasted coconut with strawberry rhubarb crisp - out of this world! Also make root beer floats from scratch - syrup, seltzer and ice cream. The kids who serve are really nice too. It is our new favorite place!

This place is just awesome. They offer more than ice cream too. They have some bakery and convenience grocery along with a full candy counter. There are just so many flavors of ice cream to choose from. Expect delicious, generous servings and a time travel-like experience.

You can't get Schaum torte like this anywhere! Strawberries and whipped cheese cherry on top. Along with with perfect service and old-fashioned charm right out of "Back to the Future"

Stopped in as we were passing through town and were delightfully surprised at the variety of sweet treats. Many homemade brownies, cupcakes, bars, cookies, and cakes. Then you have chocolates, ice cream, sweet rolls, retro candies, old fashioned sodas... we had the most difficult, but fun time deciding! And...Hannah, our server, was so helpful and patient. Greeted us with a warm welcome and was a pleasure to chat with as we perused their tasty treasures. I had the cookies and cream bar with a side of mocha cream ice cream (WINNER!), and my hubs went with a classic hot fudge sundae. A nice stop for a treat!

When I stopped by this ice cream shop the waiter was super friendly helped us all and attended us quick the ice cream was extremely good the seating was great. The prices were fair. It's a good place to come bring a date or friends. They also have a bakery in the back and the back of the ice cream shop and their bread smells so damn good.

We drive about 45 minutes to visit Scoop De Ville a few times each year. Many flavors of ice cream, treats you can take to enjoy at home. And the old school ice cream shop feel is something you can't get anywhere else. Between my husband and I, one of us has to order the old fashioned Chocolate Malt, there's nothing better !
