What I love about this spot is everyone in my family can be happy and find something that pleases them. That can be hard for a family of 4, especially when your mom is vegan and gluten free like I am. You'll see in the photos a delicious mint oreo shake that one of my sons had. For me, I was able to enjoy a mix in with caramel vegan ice-cream and toppings that were gloriously gluten free. I've tried a few of their vegan flavors and my favorite thus far is the salted caramel. One other fun thing is the general manager at this store, Maurice, takes the time to get feedback from customers. They are looking to have a specialty summer flavor and we got to weigh in on the decision.

Amazing place to stop by for a sweet treat! Maurice at the register was super helpful and knowledgeable in helping us decide on a menu item. Of course the ice cream was delicious, too!

The vegan Cheesecake Sundae was absolutely delicious. I inhaled the slice of vegan cheesecake. There are a wealth of vegan (and non-vegan) options. Will definitely be returning.

Vegan ice cream heaven!! 🍦 Heard a lot about this place & finally came! They offer a large selection of full dairy ice cream but also a decent amount of vegan! I love their creative vegan sundaes (which is hard to find!) You can get a plain vegan ice cream BUT they offer so many fun toppings / combos! The PB Crunch vegan sundae was the BEST! Super creamy & soft ice cream with captain crunch cereal bites, cookie dough & peanut butter drizzle (they didn’t skimp on the peanut butter either 🥰) Always in search of GOOD vegan ice cream & Deville HIT the spot! Loved the funky decor & vibe. And the vegan ice cream is SO worthy of high raving! Also love their fun branding! Lots of fun colors & fun artwork!

The best place ever. Nothing but smiles from the time you walk in, until the time you walk out. My favorite thing to order is the "dirtiest oreo sundae". It's absolutely the best! The staff and owners are so nice as well!

I certainly wouldn't go back for a smoothie. They don't taste good, aren't made with real fruit, and cost the same price as a real, genuine smoothie. Haven't gotten ice cream here, tho. Cashier was nice & efficient enough.

It felt more like ice cream that had a chocolate flavor than chocolate ice cream if that makes sense. Tasty but as a big ice cream fan, it’s nothing ground breaking. HOWEVER if you’re dairy free or gluten free they seem to have a lot of options

I loved it! I got their dairy free base with pistachios, brownie bites. The dairy free base was very flavorful. It was delicious however I wasn’t a fan of the brownie pieces. The employee who rung me up was very pleasant and very helpful.

Great little place for dessert after dinner. Had the red velvet cup cake and a chocolate mousse cupcake that tasted like a Ding Dong. Both tasted amazing. Staff was very helpful.

The ice cream and baked goods here smelled great but to be honest it was just okay. We were overwhelmed with lots of options. It took a while to decide what to order. The amazing smells really left us with high expectations that just weren't really met. Luckily, I ordered a mango dole whip smoothie. That was pretty safe and tasted good, but I was bummed it didn't have real fruit in it. my friend didn't really like her ice cream milkshake even though she's a sweet lover which was a little disappointing. Either way, it was a welcome retreat to enjoy some ac and seating on a hot day.

After Amada and some more of the Old City touring, we walked into Scoop Deville since our teen said she "needed" a snack. Let me tell you, we were so full because we had Amada earlier, that we could not bring ourselves to order anything, but Scoop Deville is a place to visit. We got as far as tasting our daughter's choice, and it was amazing. It wasn't overwhelmingly sweet, it wasn't too much, it wasn't too underwhelming, it was a great experience. They have something for everyone. They have vegan options, scoops, creations, milk shakes, and banana splits. They also have ice cream cakes, pints, and water or soda if you need that in the humidity. The cashier was friendly as soon as we arrived, greeted us. He saw us looking at the menu and explained their options, what we could create, and what we could also expect from some of the flavors/creations. Our daughter got the Dirtiest Oreo, and our friends ordered a banana split. The Dirtiest Oreo is absolutely worth the price you pay, and the banana split is so loaded, it takes you back to your childhood moments in your kitchen. The staff is great, they were busier with pickup orders than people walking in and getting something to take with them. However, for the size of the shop, their location is great. It isn't too small, there are booths and small tables inside if you want to sit and enjoy your dessert. the staff is nice, they repeat your order back to you, and they brought our order right to us. It is definitely a place you want to stop into. There are so many options, that if you're not as full as we were, stop by and pay them a visit! You will not regret it!

Not a lot of ice cream, too much whipped cream for the amount of ice cream provided. There were a few frozen whole strawberries, not pieces, but an entire strawberry.

Saw their sandwich board on the sidewalk and had to make a quick detour. Vegan Milkshakes! Delicious. That's really all I have to say. It's an order at the counter type of place - - got peanut butter cup with whipped cream. It came with a nice thick straw. Yum.

Nothing better than scoop deville on a hot summer's day. Their mission is to have you leave happy and the GM Maurice and his staff ensures that you will with great service and table side delivery.

The signature blends were so good they hit the spot on a late night along with the strawberry jumbo cupcakes LOL you gotta try scoop Deville!

Best dessert I had since visiting Philly. I'd definitely go back or recommend it to someone. The ayo Adrian was top tier

Ok yeah this place rocks. Cinnamon toast crunch shake was so tasty. Manager, Maurice, was super hospitable, dude is good at his job.

To the owner: You wisely hired great, hard-working employees. Eric and Maurice I have met, along with a taller male Black employee (perhaps older than Maurice), and they are all very earnest and eager to make sure that I liked my ice cream. Very polite too. Seeing this across multiple employees helped me to see that their boss/owner knows how to hire the right people. It reminds me of Steve Jobs' quote about hiring "grade-A" people. Because if you hire grade-B people, they will soon make grade-C decisions, with grade-D consequences, and eventually your business will be a grade F. They work very hard when no one is looking over the shoulder. That is not common these days in the service industry. Congratulations!

Stopped to get cheered up on a bad day and they did not disappoint. Yummy is all I can say. Plus they helped me find a book that I lost on #southstreet so above and beyond customer service!

Great place for ice cream. If you love your own flavor and toppings in custom soft serve this is the place. We had peanut butter cookie crunch soft serve and molten lava soft serve ice cream in a waffle cone. Very good and tasty! Friendly service very helpful and with a smile. We also received coupons for $4.00 off our next signature blend soft serve ice cream! Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Visited scoop deville. The customer service wasn't the best but it could be because it was really busy! I am glad that scoop deville has froyo! I really wish more ice cream shops would offer this!

They have sugar free vanilla it was so good I couldn't believe it was sugar free ! I added coconut and pistachio it was delicious! Service was good fast straight up the point the ambiance was cute just a regular ice cream I love pink so I was sold lol

Service was horrible. Not sure why they have two people working on a Saturday, maybe that's why they were so unpleasant. We waited over 20 minured for a large order and when we saw someone that ordered after us while we were still waiting on one other person, we inquired and not only did we get a nasty look but the response was "I know". Not coming to this place again. Hope fully they learn to staff better and train their staff.

wonderful place it's so good. I enjoyed myself on a day in town I've never been here before I loved the ice cream the flavoring was phenomenal.

Ordered milkshake & cupcake for delivery via Yelp app, at 9:05pm. It was a "sorry you had crappy day" gift. Only needed to go 5 short blocks. Estimated time was 25-45 minutes. Called grubhub at 10:04pm, told it had been delivered. Asked when? - no idea was the answer. No idea how long items were sitting at front door - no one one rang bell or knocked on the front door, or texted and called the person getting items. No one phoned or texted me and no email stating delivery made. Was it screw-up by grubhub? A screw-up by Yelp system? Store was extra busy? Professional courtesy should have provided an update and/or explanation.

Out on south street with my extended family, we wanted ice cream and walked a bit longer to try this place out. Some of us were vegan and some not. Everyone loved their ice cream! It was so delicious! The service was a little complicated and they weren't entirely clear about who had bought what. But they did their best to make everyone happy and to be friendly and courteous. So I don't ding them on that - they had a long line and their items and orders are complicated. I highly recommend this place, particularly for groups with non-vegan and vegan ice cream lovers.

Ordered a milkshake that was horrible and was essentially blended milk and peanut butter. My friend's "ice cream" was extremely melted and not good at all. Won't be coming back, waste of $18.

The newest location of Scoop Deville is small but still lacks a punch. The place is bright and colorful. Warning the menu is extensive and is on a monitor which keeps flipping pages. There are a plethora of options. We went with sundaes. The portions are huge and there are so many combinations. There are a few tables to sit if you desire. They also have delivery options. We enjoyed our ice cream but the portions were huge. The prices are high but with the large portions it is worth it. Things to know: -Large menu which is a little hard to order from since it keeps rotating on computer screens. There is no paper or online menu -All staff is masked -Delivery options available -There are so many options and creative combinations. We loved the warmed cookie dough sundae -some sundaes come with souvenir glasses (I consider this extra waste) - hours are Friday and Saturday :11am-1am Friday, Sunday 12pm-11pm, Monday-Thursday 11am - 11pm We are knocking a star off for the frustrating menu but would definitely go back.

Amazing how many vegan and gluten free options there are on top of everything else here. I'm impressed, this place has it all. Is it really good though? I don't know. I had butter pecan and strawberry lemon strawberry cheesecake. The butter pecan isn't as good and buttery compared to most places. It tasted almost chemically and sandy. The other flavor tasted like Skittles with cheesecake chunks. When I ordered slices of cake here during the pandemic, it was really good. I'm disappointed with the butter pecan, but overall would totally come here again to try other things. 4 stars is high and 3 is low, but I'm rounding it up. Give the place the benefit of the doubt.

Awesome ice cream! Lots of choices. Also GF, vegan and dairy free options. There's a million toppings, cakes, shakes, and other assorted treats.

Took my family for some dessert after our meal. I ordered the pink watermelon frozen lemonade, my daughter had the vegan mint oreo milkshakes and my brother had the fruity pebbles soft serve. He loved his soft serve ate it all up. My daughter initially like the shake but then said it tasted like leaves, I think its cause they use real mint leaves. I thought it tasted good, soeven though I was loving my frozen lemonade I switched with her. The service was friendly and efficient.

Was happy to see this place open late Sunday night after a show at the TLA. We were parched so we ducked in for some water and I opted for a little ice cream to end the night lol. Peanut butter cookie dough was so good and had lots of topping in it. The girl working was speedy and friendly and the other interesting flavors made my decision hard. I'm always happy to support local ice cream and thank goodness for a business staying open past 10pm in this weird world we've been in for so long.

I appreciate the response and you definitely gave it the old college try but the overall experience still rated two-stars. The treat was gone in 6 normal-sized bites. There are products that warrant that kind of price, but few. This review was not based on 'in comparison to other places', it was solely on our experience there. Seeing disorganization and chaos (versus fun, enthusiastic energy) speaks volumes about how the backend of a business might be run and it's quite possible that there are ways to streamline to reduce waste and unnecessary costs that cause the end product to be over $1 per bite. I certainly appreciate your effort to bump up the review, and likely my input won't make a bit of difference anyway. There are ways to make the experience far more enjoyable and create more of a sense of satisfaction with your customers, and not just by lowering prices.

Great ice cream place! Great owner! Lots of ice cream choices, they even have macaroons and cakes (tiramisu, chocolate mousse, etc). My favorite is their Oreo ice cream cake that I order all the time for birthday parties.
