My fiance and I are big ice cream enthusiasts and love trying new spots! We decided to try out Scoops before a show at the Roxian and oh my gosh it was AMAZING. First of all, the whole place is so cute and there are soo many different flavors to choose from! I went with a scoop of the Coconut ice cream and a scoop of the Brownie Batter.. it was some of the best ice cream I've ever had!! My fiance had a brownie batter milkshake and he said it was one of the best milkshakes he's ever had! We live an hour away but we are planning on stopping back really soon because it was just too good!

Delicious ice cream. Lots of different flavors. And a dairy free cookies n creme option as well. I got a chocolate marshmallow and a dark chocolate fudge. The ice cream was super yummy. Be aware the a single scoop isn't just 1 scoop, and a double scoop isn't just two scoops.

I recently visited this delightful ice cream shop and was impressed by the wide variety of options available. The highlight of our visit was trying their signature flavor, "Pittsburgh Potholes," which was an incredibly tasty and unique treat. The rich flavors and diverse selection make this place a must-visit for any ice cream enthusiast. Friendly staff and a cozy atmosphere added to the overall enjoyable experience. Highly recommend!

Scoops has the best ice cream around, and their ice cream birthday cakes are delicious and turn out beautiful!! We've been coming to Scoops for many years and will continue to. I love how there's multiple locations as well. Thank you!

MIND BLOWING, best ice cream in the world! We had cannoli, chocolate marshmallow, and cotton candy. Creamiest, delectable treat that’s inexpensive.GENEROUS servings! What an incredible, cheerful owner! THANK YOU!

We went here for the first time and it was amazing. We have a new favorite ice cream spot. Amazing flavors and so many to choose from. My favorites so far are the brownie batter(which was so good), and their cherries one can't remember the name but ill know it when I see it lol.

Scoops in Carnegie is a great ice cream shop with a wide variety of ice cream and treats. So many flavors to choose from! I had a hot fudge sundae, which was delicious. There's a nice seating area on the other side of the wall, with candy, homemade desserts and Scoops t-shirts available for sale. Interior was clean and well lit. Employee was kind and pleasant. Will definitely return.

Best place ever! They have the best variety of ice cream you will ever come across. The banana cream pie ice cream is my favorite must try. The stuff are extremely helpful and patient. Strongly recommend!!

This ice cream is so delicious! The portion is huge! It's a big place so you can sit with friends inside and enjoy the delicious ice cream and drinks. Great service as well. I highly recommend.

Exceptional service and even better ice cream! I don't usually visit small ice cream shops because the quality can be hit or miss, but this place exceeded my expectations. I had a scoop of my favorite cookie dough ice cream on a cake cone, and it was perfect--the right balance of creamy texture and just the right amount of cookie dough pieces, unlike some places that skimp on mix-ins. My guests also enjoyed their ice cream, though one wasn't a fan of the dairy-free cookies and cream--not surprising since they had never tried a dairy-free option before and only ordered it because the regular version was sold out. Beyond the ice cream, the cozy ambiance made the experience even better. This is definitely a spot worth returning to!

First trip to the Carnegie location of scoops! Great spot on Main Street and I love the inside! Some seating but not much. We got a single scoop- it's a huge serving of ice cream IMO. I got the moosetracks and my fiancé got the cannoli. Both were tasty but the waffle cones/bowl really were great. We went on a cold night so we thought it would be all but there was quite a line. There was one young girl working and you could tell she was overwhelmed. One guy in front of us was being a total jagoff but she handled him and the line like a pro!! We'll be back :)

They're close time was 10:30. We arrive at 10:09 and they locked the door when we arrived. False timing and unacceptable. 3 people were in there while we almost walked in.

I loved scoops! They had so many good flavors to choose from and a cute space right in the little downtown area. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable on flavors and they also have cute knickknacks you can purchase as well.

Service: Jessica = Angel Food = top-notch.. I couldn't be happier with my choice to stop in because of Jessica, and of course, the amazing ice cream!

Love this place! We got often as a sweet treat. Pretty disappointing though when we go 30 min before close and the doors are locked and they are inside cleaning. Has happened to us a couple times now.

Ate at scoops Friday night for the Carnegie Crawl. They had a special going on that was buy one get one so we got 2 kids single scoops for a total of $2! It was awesome. So many flavors to choose from and my daughter ordered vanilla :). We also ordered the graham cracker one and that was good. The line was super long but apparently its not usually like that and it went fast!

Holy one scoop! It was huge! Super friendly and the ice cream was really enjoyable. The lavender dream was excellent with the blackberry swirls.

I admit that it took me a long time to visit this Scoops location. They're currently operating in what was the former Flying Squirrel, and seeing the Flying Squirrel close was a big bummer at the time. But time heals all wounds, right? This is one of multiple Scoops locations in the Pittsburgh area, and it's as good as all the others. I especially like the look and feel of this storefront since they didn't do a major overhaul of the former business. While much of the shelving from the old toy store is gone, the space generally has the same beautiful look and cozy feelings as the Flying Squirrel. Like the other Scoops locations, they offer both ice cream and frozen yogurt (although the focus is definitely on the ice cream, versus just a handful of yogurt flavors). And like the other Scoops locations, they offer a good mix of the usual flavorful suspects (gotta have chocolate ice cream, after all) as well as some others that carry their own special twist. When I've visited, I've gotten my ice cream to go, although there is some limited indoor seating. And I expect that I'll be visiting again in the near future now that we're heading into the spring and summer months - nothing beats cold ice cream on a hot day, after all!

Best ice cream in Pittsburgh! Highly recommend the peanut butter chocolate and the regular moose tracks.

Passing through the area and had a craving for something sweet. The whole town of Carnegie has a bit of a nostalgic vibe to it, and Scoops definitely feels the same way. The building is old, but super cozy and feels rustic and old school. Many many flavors to chose from and the homemade waffle cones are so tasty. The portions are massive m, two scoops is HUGE. I'll definitely be visiting again!

Visiting the area brought us to Scoops in Carnegie! The waffle cone was so fresh and scented the air in the shop! So many ice cream flavors (some Hershey and some Perry's) to choose from! The serving size in my waffle cone made me gasp- humongous!!

Ice Cream was delicious. Love the pretzel cone. Carly was very friendly and provided excellent service. Fun ambiance

So many great flavors to choose from, its not easy to decide. Staff always Greet you, very friendly and helpful.

We haven't had a chance to visit here since our move to the area, but luckily we were able to order through a 3rd party app. I snagged a caramel truffle shake & the mrs got a brownie batter shake. The price was right, the shakes were perfect for what ailed us. The carmel had a vanilla flavor with the caramel being packed into truffles that filled the bottom of the cup. The brownie batter had huge chunks of brownie at the bottom that made a spoon necessary. This place is on our list as a mist visit next time we're running around Carnegie and can visit the shop in person.

Scoops in Carnegie is the latest of the "scoops" chain to open in the area. Occupying a portion of what was formerly known as "the Flying Squirrel" the ice cream shop has retained the tables and chairs from their old ice cream store that was part of the former toy shop. Scoops on Carnegie serves both Perry's and Hershey's ice cream. They have a limited selection of vegan ice cream and also I was told by the counter lady that they can use almond milk if I wanted a vegan milkshake. There is a good assortment to choose from. A cup or a cone starts at $3.00 for one scoop and $5.75 for two. Tax is included. As noted in my previous review on Scoops on Beverly they don't have a rewards program. You are permitted to sample here. Some of the flavors have nifty names to them such as "Pittsburgh potholes" and "gold metal ribbon ice cream." These were the two I ended up trying. Pittsburgh potholes is basically a dark chocolate with chocolate chunks in it. Gold metal ribbon is a vanilla chocolate mix with a swirl of caramel throughout. Combining these made for a delicious chocolate rich treat. If you wish to eat in then you can gaze at the delectable ice cream cakes, candies, frozen treats, and refrigerated beverages in their own case or refrigerator. The scoops themselves are not much bigger than your traditional ice cream scoop but you are able to mix flavors should you decide more than one. Sitting in the heart of Carnegie's business district on Main St metered street parking is available.

Newly opened on Main Street in Carnegie. Great addition to the other restaurants/shops on Main St. Lots of flavors of Hershey's size cream to choose from. Prices were average to me. Two waffle cones, one scoop each, a little over $7. They also sell some candy, ice cream cakes, ice cream sandwiches as well as some other ice cream novelties to choose from. Very spacious and clean inside. Will accommodate a stroller. Street parking. Will definitely be back!

Finally got to try scoops tonight! I got the cannoli ice cream and it was so tasty. They have so many flavors it's almost hard to decide in a reasonable amount of time. A single is $3.00 and it's a huge portion. All of the flavors seem to be homemade and they're unique and delicious! Customer service was super nice and they didn't make us feel pressured to order. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I did find a hair literally baked into my waffle cone. Gross I know, but the cannoli ice cream actually made up for it...I'll be back, but if I find another hair in my cone it's a wrap lol.

I have stopped by scoops few times and I should say the ice cream quality is worth the money spent. I usually prefer the Pittsburgh potholes ice cream which is a chocolate flavored with fudges and chocolate pellets and it gets sweeter and sweeter every bite but I would do it again anytime at this place for a chilled out evening in Carnegie downtown.

I'm so glad that Scoops added a second location in Carnegie. It's right on Main Street across from Quantum Spirits. They always have an array of many different flavors. I opt to get two child sized scoops since they are pretty big (and cheaper) and then I get to enjoy two different flavors. They allow taste tests which I will do sometimes. Otherwise my standing flavors are: Praline Pecan, Mint Chocolate Chip, Birthday Cake and Coffee. They have some cakes and ice cream sandwiches to go in their freezer for purchase which is located in the sitting area inside. (There are a few tables and chairs here too to sit at along with two benches outside of the front door.) I deducted a star because at times the waffle cones are a bit stale tasting and they don't have the paper done protectors at the bottom to prevent leaks, but otherwise, always friendly service and good ice cream!

Scoops makes there very own waffle cones and has great flavors. I may be biased because my son has worked there for 3 years. Love the ever changing flavors.

I got ice cream from here an hour ago and embarrassingly, I had to rush home to use the toilet. The ice cream tasted like it's been frozen for too long and it's lost it's flavor and whatever is in it did a number on my stomach.

If you want the best milkshake in the world don't come here. Worst milkshake I ever had. I ordered two milkshake one for my lady and one for me. There where terrible not worth the money. I will never come back here again.

Cannoli Ice cream and a bunch of other good flavors. The dark wood ambiance was great and there was plenty of seating at the place. Smelled great and was very clean inside. 7/7 that ice cream was heaven.

Pleasantly surprised by this little ice cream joint. It may not be huge, but there are TONS of ice cream options here. There is an ice cream here for everyone-whether you're dairy free, on a diet, or just going all out (that's me). I tried the cookies and cream made with almond milk, and it was light and surprisingly delicious. I'm glad I tried it, but I ultimately went with the Pittsburgh Pot Holes ice cream. It was dark and fudgy chocolate ice cream with cookie chunks. Wow-so good! Make sure to ask for a taste tester or 2. It's hard to narrow down which ice cream to choose because there are so many-at least 24 flavors. I'll be back to try some more soon!

We love this place. There's really nothing negative I could even think of saying about Scoops. Good service and the ice cream is great. Stopped in once and the minister from the church around the corner bought my whole family's ice cream just because he was in front of me and took a little bit longer than usual. Very kind and generous of him. They also always give my dog a little cup of ice cream too. Great people.

This was a nice little ice cream shop in the heart of Carnegie! Their are so many flavors to try and a lot of them are pretty unique, I wanted to try them all! Luckily the employees offer free samples so I got to taste a couple before picking what I'd buy. I ended up getting the bittersweet symphony (coffee ice cream w chocolate) and the cannoli ice cream. Both were really enjoyable but I especially liked the cannoli flavor! I would definitely come here again to try more of their flavors. The price wasn't bad at all either I was only charged like $3.21 for 2 small scoops!

The service this evening was the worst we ever had - two teenagers that were extremely rude, especially the young lady. My son has a food allergy, and we always have to inquire about the ingredients in the options available to him. Most times we are treated with grace and kindness as it is not easy when most things have the two items he is allergic to. When inquiring with the young lady this evening we were instead met with a very rude and condescending attitude- first we were sharply told by her that one of the options obviously had the allergen in it, and when we asked if she could either double check or give us a list of the ingredients she became indignant. On top of that, we had 4 other children with us that we were also purchasing ice cream for (no special allergies amongst them) - the young lady insisted on trying to rush them and would frequently roll her eyes with disgust if there was a question or a slight delay while they made their choice. I can understand that serving multiple children and dealing with the challenges of an allergy can be difficult, but the rude behavior was completely unacceptable. Until this location either "retrains" their staff or hires better staff I would strongly recommend you visit one of the many other ice cream options in the area.

We decided to take my husband to Scoops in Carnegie for Father's Day. I was not impressed with this Scoops location at all! The store was filthy inside, with broken waffles all over the counter and floor! They were out of all of the ice cream flavors that we were planning to get. In addition to the ice cream, they were also out of ice cream waffle cones. When you know a holiday like Father's Day or Mother's Day is coming up, a company should prepare in advance! The worst thing by far, though, was the small portion sizes!!!!! We usually go to the SCOOPS ON BEVERLY ROAD, and the portion sixes there are ALMOST DOUBLE the portion sizes from Scoops in Carnegie. We could not have been more disappointed. I would not recommend this business! Counters and floors should be periodically cleaned throughout the day; they should be fully stocked and more prepared on holidays; and they need to actually put some ice cream in the bowls! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO TO SCOOPS ON BEVERLY ROAD OR SARRIS CANDIES IN WASHINGTON PA FOR DELICIOUS ICE CREAM AND LARGE PORTION SIZES!

So I wouldn't be writing this if they would of actually answered my 2 calls and I left a voicemail. We ordered ice cream via delivery, on Sunday night. Today I went to eat my ice cream and found a long blonde hair in it. That's fine. I pulled it out. Then I dig the top off so I can eat it and found 3 more in and out of the rest of the ice cream. I have black hair this is obviously not mine. I called around 5 and just now and still no answer. That's literally like $7 down the drain and I'm upset. So whoever had blonde long Hair who works on Sunday nights is getting hair all in your ice cream. I still have it in my freezer and will bring it down to you to show you. This is upsetting and uncalled for.

Amazing flavors and friendly staff. They are always happy to give you samples and explain anything on the menu. The Graham Canyon flavor is my absolute favorite.

Came last week. Had the cannoli flavored milkshake. I was impressed with the ice cream flavors. I love unique flavors. I was hoping the ice cream was made in house but it is still good. I believe they use Hershey's ice cream.

I moved to Pittsburgh and all i heard about was Scoops. I was happy to see one in Carnegie and went by for a visit. Staff was great and so was the food!

Drove all the way to Carnegie last night just to try this place out. Closed at 9:30!!? Please consider staying open until your designated times online or update your hours online so this doesn't happen to other people!

My daughter's birthday is in the summer and we always enjoy an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. However, since the Dairy Queen near me on Noblestown Road has closed, I turned to Scoops to fill the void. They did not disappoint. In fact, they exceeded expectations by leaps and bounds! One year, I ordered an ice cream cake costing $40.00 from Cold Stone Creamery and was not at all impressed. Scoops ice cream cakes are made to order and reasonably priced. My daughter picked a combination of mint chocolate chip and French vanilla. I bought the large choice and our party of eight polished it off in one sitting. Thank you, Scoops. I will be visiting you soon for another ice cream cake this year, regardless of the pandemic.

Cute ice cream shop! 2 scoops and a waffle cone for about $7 but excellent ice cream and TOTALLY worth the price! Large sitting area with ice cream cakes, candy, and drinks. Perfect for groups!

They have sugar free ice cream! Enough said. Many varieties of quality ice cream. I would definitely visit soon. Carnegie is coming back. I have lived here long enough to remember Isaly's. Ice cream shop will do well.
