Saw this cart at one of our school functions. What a great idea...so I thought.
One star is too many! Ordered a cart for my daughters June 2015 HS Grad Appreciation Picnic. This was supposed to be a surprise for her and dessert for family and friends after the meal. I raved about this company and my plans to use them for future events.
I was told that I had to pick up my cart (due to it being the small cart, they don't deliver it.) No problem. I arrived at 9. No one there. I am knocking on the door, the door on the dock and I called their number leaving messages on as many extensions as possible. (No emergency contact number.) No call back by 10:00 a.m. I left at 10:00 to pick up food to drop off at my home, then rushed to train station and airport to pick up guests. By 11:00, I still hadn't heard from anyone.
I am now behind schedule for setting up. I receive a return call from someone at Scoops 2 U around 11:30-11:45. He stated that he received my message and that I could come back to pick up the cart. I replied that I was on my way to the airport- Thurgood Marshall - 50 min. away from picnic location and you are 30 minutes the opposite direction from the picnic location. He said that they would send someone out. I said great, the event starts at 1:00. I told him repeatedly that this was our dessert. I currently have no back up plan!
ITS NOW AUGUST...NO CART WAS DELIVERED, AND I STILL HAVEN'T HEARD FROM SCOOPS 2 U!
They had no problem contacting me in reference to my initial inquiry, order, credit card information, or follow up to remind me of my rental. No, they didn't charge my card. This was not handled well at all-no follow up from the company, no apology, and no recourse.
By the way, we ended up purchasing cookies and cupcakes at the very last minute.
