"It would be a bit of a missed opportunity if a club called Scorpion Bar didn’t serve scorpion bowls. Part of the Big Night Entertainment Group, the giant Seaport District nightclub and Mexican restaurant (and its siblings at Foxwoods and Patriot Place) serves three varieties ($55), including a giant margarita and a cocktail that combines Grey Goose and ginger beer with Lejay Blackcurrant Liqueur and sour. Two other Big Night Entertainment Group venues, Red Lantern and Empire, also serve a few oversized cocktails apiece, including the Samoan shipwreck at Red Lantern (Avion Silver, Bacardi Pineapple, lime, and fruit juices; $70) and the big kahuna at Empire (Grey Goose, watermelon punch, mint, and ginger; $80)." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Yelp
Insulted my intelligence at the door. Took me a second to figure out which hand they wanted to stamp after presenting my ID and the bouncer turned to the others at the door and said "No lights on in there, huh?" My friend heard it as she was getting her ID checked and told me they said this about me. Overall an extremely offensive and unprofessional experience for a bar that advertises itself as upscale. Especially in Seaport when these places are a dime a dozen. Staff is rude, unprofessional and inconsiderate. I will not be returning and will be warning all my friends about the extremely disturbing experience that I recently had here. Do not come here if you are looking to be treated with politeness, dignity and respect as a patron!

Yelp
Nachos and margs were great! Week day deals were also good. The bar is packed and service can be slow but overall great vibe. Unfortunately they overcharged my card somehow. Luckily I caught it within 24 hours and had the receipt hard copy for expenses and fortunately management corrected after I notified them. 3.5 stars because I'm not sure what would have happened if I hadn't called to notify them but the vibe and food was great. Just be careful with credit card and overcharging because I noticed after that although management responds to the comments here, it seems overcharging is an ongoing issue here based on volume of mentions about it.

Yelp
We had a friend's bday party here. They do great bottle service. The club energy is lively.

Yelp
Came here for a conference happy hour so I can't speak to the regular prices. The chicken and cheese enchiladas were delicious and so was the steak enchiladas. They had people making fresh guacamole but the line was super long so I didn't get to try it. A fun place for a happy hour or just dinner.

Yelp
We stopped in for a few drinks before a show at the neighboring venue. It was not overflowing by any means at around 11:30pm on a Tuesday but there was a sparse crowd. The bouncer and another security member were friendly, welcoming, and directed us where to go so that we didn't have to wander aimlessly like idiots. Fortunately, as we approached the bar, a group of judgy, clearly insecure girls who looked us up and down decided to either leave or go to the bathroom, giving us some bar real estate to place our order. The bartender for that section immediately gave us attention and was also welcoming and friendly. We both ordered a spicy margarita which was tasty and enjoyable. There are numerous large TV screens broadcasting sportz and very loud blaring music. This is a solid place to grab a late night drink.

Yelp
Great location and ambient...thats about it on the positive side . Overpriced menu , slow and rude servers on a really slow week day , food is poorly made .... There are so many better places in the city with 100x better vibe. Enjoy those and pass on this one. Ziveli!!!

Yelp
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE: This place ROOFIES and OVERCHARGES... Was there with some friends celebrating a birthday. The night started out fine, except towards the end of the night, three of us were completely passed out, they kept taking the bottles and brining bag and charged us for 4 botttles that we did not have!! We were all fine until three of us were not... the last 15 min of the night. They clearly roofie to make more money and tip. This is the bartenders. Police are aware of what is happening here. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS. The customer service still hasn't offered to refund us or DO ANYTHING for the insane night we had. Mind you, we are all parents, so god forbid something happened to us you would have left 5 kids without parents!!!! DO NOT GO THERE AT ANY COST.

Emmy P.

Yelp
No don't go here! They charge you $5 for water. It's a scam. They also didn't have a menu. They gave us an old menu and said the prices were different.

Laura G.

Yelp
We went here after a bad experience at Committe where the door man was super rude. It was such a nice change! All of the staff were super nice and the music and vibes are great! Would recommend.

Sash G.

Yelp
Terrible service or no service at all. We are from out of town and wanted to try this place out because it was close to our hotel. But avoid this place at all costs. It smells like fabuloso mixed with dirty mop water and the service is-- well there is no service. Even with reservations we got a table but didn't see a server for over 30 minutes before we decided to gather our group of 6 people and take them over to kings dining which had servers helping you immediately. They set us up at Kings Dining and took our drink and food order within the first 5 minutes of us sitting. Tip Skip Scorpion Bar and just go to Kings Dining.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for dinner before sticking around for the bar scene. We were seated on time for our reservations. For drinks we had a variety of the margaritas which were all good. Best bang for your buck it to get a pitcher if you know you're going to be drinking a fair amount. For appetizers we shared the chicken and churros, the loco nachos with steak, and the street corn. The chicken slices were thin and over cooked. The churros were more airy than a traditional churro. The nachos was a giant mound of chips, cheese and other toppings which weren't bad, but also hard to mess up. My friend said the street corn tasted like it was seasoned with just salt. For entrees, we had the quesadillas, the pork belly buster burrito with the Apple relish on the side, and the Al Pastor taco. Friends said that quesadillas were okay. The taco was not very good from what my other friend said. The rice in the burritos was old and over cooked. It felt like eating pebbles from how hard some pieces were. It was described to have pickled jalapeños but they were raw and clumped in one section. The pork belly pieces were pan fried and cooked well. We had the apple relish on the side due to an allergy and it really didn't add anything to the taste other then being fresh fruit. More effort was put into presentation than taste. Bar scene was decent with music and vibes. It was more packed than what it needed to be since there were reserved seats taking up the middle of the space. Our server was friendly and accommodating. If it weren't for the nachos and waitress, this would be a one star rating. Would not come for dinner again.

Neferteri G.

Yelp
I never have much luck with Mexican food based restaurants but this was the BEST experience I have ever had at one. We ordered the salsa as an appetizer. It was amazing, very spicy, and the chips were warm. For the main meal, my boyfriend had the steak fajitas which he loved. I had the diablo chimichanga burrito which was MASSIVE and delicious. The drinks were just okay though, nothing to ride home about. Our server was very kind but she was extremely busy; I'd imagine this is do to the lack of workers these days. Overall, if you are into Mexican based food, I highly recommend this place.

Emily B.

Yelp
How is this place still even in business. They gave themselves a 1000 dollar tip plus they had a service fee? I had 6 people on my table who is drinking all this?

Michael R.

Yelp
Only been there once, but had a great time! Nice space with good atmosphere. Attentive and knowledgeable bar tenders. The change over from dinner to dancing was a well orchestrated process.

Shaleah T.

Yelp
OK, so scorpion bar is located in the Seaport where there are so many amazing restaurants that have awesome food and a great ambience. I went to the scorpion bar for a gathering of black professionals and the ambience was great. The drinks were fine because I don't drink alcohol, so if you mess up on Sprite or Gingerale, you should shut down lol. However, by the time we arrived, the passed appetizers were gone so we were forced to eat a meal at the restaurant which I assumed would be good. Oh my goodness...absolutely not at all. I wouldn't come back to the scorpion bar to eat food if you paid the tab for me. I got the Birria quesadillas and they were flavorless. The gravy was probably the best part of the quesadilla. I really don't know how they could redeem themselves. I don't even know if I would take them up on an offer for free meal. Seriously, it was that bad. If you're looking for good food in a good space to hang out, do NOT go to the scorpion bar. If you're looking for a pretty ambience and to meet up with some friends to take really nice pictures and then head to someplace else to eat that would be my suggestion. Save your money your time and your energy and hit up one of the spots with good food and decor. The seaport actually has good food so may places...skip this one.

Rachel N.

Yelp
This bar and restaurant oozes cool chic. Great food, great drinks, and great service. Will definitely come back!

Emma T.

Yelp
I think that scorpion bar is a little bit overhyped. The margarita was good but quite expensive. The food was OK and pretty overpriced. I also got a vodka soda which was just as expensive as a specialty cocktail which I thought was ridiculous

Gabi A.

Yelp
Scorpion bar is one of the best bars I've ever been too! Its ambiance is absolutely incredible and the drinks are even better. I can't wait to go back this weekend!

Taya A.

Yelp
My cousins and I came through to Scorpion on friday night for dinner and dancing. It was around 8:30 and they were getting ready to move the tables and make room for the dance floor, so we had to order/eat standing at the bar. We got chips and guac, taquitos and the tiritas de pescado which had salmon, jalapeño ponzu, basil oil, torched orange segments and truffle jalapeño aioli. The food was good! Drinks wise I started with a couple mixed drinks that werent nearly strong enough for the price, so I moved to seltzers. What we really came for was the dancing! Oh my GOSH the first DJ was absolutely killing (second one was so so). Literally every song was a banger. We were screaming hearts out to all the lyrics of everything. So much fire hip hop. We were fully thriving and it felt amazing to be back in the real world partying with humans again :')

Marissa R.

Yelp
I heard a lot of hype about this place but it was mediocre at best. Not only was it expensive, but the music was pretty boring (think wedding reception music); no one was really dancing even though it was a jam-packed Saturday. The cover is the worst part: we were charged $30 to get in, some people before and after us were charged $15, & others (after us) were not charged at all. It's unclear what the policy is, and according to other reviews, it seems like it changes from $0-40, so who knows. All drinks (including shots) are $10+, and parking in the area is impossible unless you pay $35+ for the garage (assuming you have a DD). Maybe it's just not for me, but between parking & the cover it just didn't seem worth it.

Tiffani J.

Yelp
This was a tough rating. The atmosphere is a 3.5 stars. The food is 2.5 stars and the service is 4 stars. The bar service is great. It pulls a vibrant professional crowd. The tacos were meh. Don't get me wrong...They were fresh but lacked flavor. The same was true for the salsa and chips. (A little salt and cilantro and it would have been great instead it tasted like tomatoes and onions. I love tomatoes so I didn't send it back but it left much to be desired.) The drinks were on the weaker side. I ordered two margaritas and I may as well have had juice. At $30 for two drinks, I expected a stronger drink. The music was sounded pretty techno most of the night. A little variety with diverse genres and/or artists would have really made for a better night. The restrooms are staffed and stashed with everything from mints to hair products. Again, don't get me wrong...The vibe is pretty good. I think a few tweaks and it will be great. I will return and try some other dishes and drinks. If you follow me, you know I used to work at a Mexican restaurant and I lived in South Texas so I'm a stickler for good salsa and tacos. I'll update after my next visit.

Yelp
I'm visiting Boston, we were walking around and found this place and decided to come for lunch. The kids menu is very limited, they only offer chickens tenders and chicken quesadilla. The service is not so good. We sat at the table and waited several minutes for a server to come and asks us for the drinks. Then we placed an order with appetizer and main entrees, the main entrée came and the appetizers came minutes later we were already eating our main course. We asked one of the servers to refill the drinks and she looked us with a strange face. Only to realize that we needed to ask again for the drinks to the "main waitress" I guess they don't talk to each other. The food was good, the presentation too. The serving size was good. In other words, if you have time to wait, then you will be ok!

Giselle T.

Yelp
Great ambiance, music and Service. Perfect for any celebration. our waitress Ana, she did really good attentio.

Yelp
My friends and I came here on a Saturday night at around 7:45 PM. I was super impressed by their lush interior, night club-esque vibes, and winding staircases. The dining room/bar area was complete with large windows, high-top seating, and large TVs. We came here for drinks (I got their strawberry margarita / $13) and quick bites, so we ordered the Loco Nachos ($14) to share. It consisted of lettuce, olives, jalapenos, a cheese blend, sour cream, and pico de gallo. I also tried their grilled mushroom taco ($6) which consisted of generous amounts of mushroom slices, pickled onions, shaved cabbage slaw, truffle crema, and spices. The nachos appetizer wasn't worth the price tag. I was hoping for warm, gooey, and plentiful cheese but instead it was dry and not well dispersed. It did have lots of fresh toppings which I appreciated! The grilled mushroom taco was pretty good as expected. :- ) It was overflowing with fillings and very nicely presented. I tasted hints of cinnamon and lots of spice with each bite. The truffle crema and the spicy pickled red onions were the stars of the show. :- ) The only downside was the overly salty mushroom strips. My strawberry margarita was just okay- I've definitely had better. My friends didn't really like their drinks either (the coconut margarita and the Minted cocktail). Despite the bustling environment, all the servers were very kind and efficient. A+ service! I'm not sure if I'll be back but I'm glad I gave Scorpion Bar a try!

Areeba Z.

Yelp
Spicy margaritas and great music? Sign me up! We were looking for a place around seaport Friday night and the music attracted us to Scorpion. There was no wait time for the bar and we thankfully found a spot for two. The bartender was really nice and suggested drinks off the menu. We got a round of margaritas and mojitos. We also got some churros. The churros came with whipped cream and molten chocolate. Shout out to the DJ that played Mask Off (Future) at midnight - May 29 to celebrate MA opening 100%. Taste of pre-covid life.

Yelp
This bar is in the seaport area. This area is known for a lot of high end restaurants and after work spots. I would classify this under after work spot for drinks and food. I'll start with the highlight. The hot wing carousel is interesting. They put ghost pepper on only one wing out of 12 and your table doesnt know which one (nor does the server). Quite entertaining seeing when someone at my table ended up with that wing and needed two glasses of milk lol. The wings have good flavor and I think this is a fun activity for a group. I would not recommend taking a chance on eating a ghost pepper if you cant handle spice, it's not for the faint of heart! Now the food. Honestly, I don't remember much about the food. It was a bit bland and there was nothing special about it. My coworkers said the drinks were good. At the end of the day its a bar so don't expect to have a 5-star meal here (which is perfectly fine if you know that going in).

Nartarsha V.

Yelp
Had an amazing time at scorpion bar!! Food was amazing. Drinks were great. Atmosphere was nice. Just an overall great experience for our first time. Will be coming back.

Ashish J.

Yelp
Don't understand the low rating here. They served excellent food and have some really great selection of cocktails (tho draft beer selection is fairly modest). For larger group, they have a separate area with seaport blvd facing view. Loved the Cadillac margarita and the guacamole. Very interesting Southwestern decor (see pics) and real friendly (and quick) service. Vegetarian fajitas were equally good and the black beans are confirmed vegetarian (no lard). Bottom line: a great option for after hours drinks and an equally great option for a larger party. It's loud so not the best place for a quiet dinner for two.

Brian F.

Yelp
First time coming here for food, in the past I've only gotten drinks. My girlfriend really wanted to eat here so I was willing to give it a shot. Let's start with the positives, clean environment, nice decor and quality drinks. Unfortunately the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered the chicken & Mac burrito bowl. The chicken was ok but the Mac & cheese was extremely bland and borderline tasteless. The cheese in my girlfriends quesadilla wasn't even melted and the waitress forgot to take my friend's order until I flagged her down. Oh and by the way after a certain hour it becomes a "club" and it's a 30 dollar cover. A rip off in my book. People seem to love this place so take it as you will.

Murat O.

Yelp
$30 for get in. $16 for Tito's. Worth it ? Definitely not. Never heard such a garbage music in my life.

Bruce K.

Yelp
Scorpion wasn't our first choice for dinner this evening but they had an immediate opening on OpenTable and we decided to ignore their poor Yelp rating. On a weeknight near 8pm, we had a lovely table near the open windows to enjoy our meal. Perhaps that cut out a lot of the noise from the DJ spinning inside. Here's your only warning. The nachos are a massive pile of delicious. Enough for three people and we still had some left. Nicely layered with the cheese and toppings throughout rather than just stuck on top, we had them with grilled chicken. Excellent stuff. Mexican beers on tap and great service from our waitress. I'm a fan.

Brendan R.

Yelp
Very Loud, no chairs and full of naked youths. Hedonism prevails. They charged me 30 whole dollars and then the beverages were quite expensive. Would suggest Sunday service instead.

Mikaela B.

Yelp
Came here for my 21st birthday and overall, this was a really good experience. It was pricey but, everything is in Boston. The tacos I got were really good and the drink was amazing. We had a little issue with the reservations but they fixed it right away and they were very accommodating to us. Definitely will be back!

Gina F.

Yelp
This review is mainly in response to the management. We spent 400 dollars at this establishment. Bartenders were phenomenal but the bald guy "in charge" was terrible. He made a horrible assumption that our friend was vomiting all over the bathroom when in fact there were multiple women vomiting at the same time in the restroom. One of which he was smiling and joking with. There was no escalation he immediately became such a jerk about it. We were paying customers whom in fact really were minding our own business until he began acting like a fool. Recommendation: have this gentleman attend leadership and customer service seminar 101. That is not how you treat customers by any means regardless of your position. There are much better ways to handle situations especially when assumptions make you look like a a**.

Mark G.

Yelp
So happy that we chose this place as our first inside-dining night out since the pandemic started. I know how dedicated the owners of Big Night Ent are to taking care of members of the service industry, so I knew this restaurant would be safe, and I want to support them. All employees are masked-up and attentive to cleanliness and safety. We ate street corn, guacamole, taquitos, pork belly tacos, Baja (cod) tacos, a smothered burrito, chicharrones, and churros; and everything was great! We drank a bunch of coconut margaritas, and jalapeño margaritas; all amazing! Our server, Milo, was very informative and made sure we were well taken care of the entire evening! Wonderful experience, during challenging times..

Kim V.

Yelp
Came here solely for the drinks but we opted to get chips with salsa and guacamole. We actually were walking by and decided to stop in. It looked brand new and on the second floor. The restaurant reminded me of Rocco's Tacos in South Florida. We were sat at a table and our waiter was friendly and quick. I started with the Classico margarita and that was really tasty. I think they make theirs margarita mixes out of fresh ingredients. The chips were freshly made and the salsa was so flavorful; the guacamole was also so fresh. My second drink was sangria and that was really good. Overall, my experience here was good. I think it turns into a club at night. Definitely check it out if you want Americanized Mexican food and margaritas. It's a large restaurant so it could fit large groups. I would definitely return when I'm in town.

Cristen S.

Yelp
Long wait for mediocre drinks and a line for absolutely no reason this bar likes to hype themselves up

Michael C.

Yelp
This place serves a purpose as a fun spot in the Seaport for some drinks, especially later at night. If you want a fun night out this should be on your list of fun Boston bars. The setup is a bit confusing and the divider a few feet behind the bar (where they hire dancers to perform) ends up making it difficult to get to the bar, one of my pet peeves. Other than that, the music is great and the drinks are fine. For food I've been disappointed with both the service and the food on both my visits. The wait staff was not attentive and the food quality was on par with a fast casual restaurant. Nothing bad, just forgettable food. Our waitress kept disappearing as well for long periods of time where people wanted refills of their drinks.

Hiroshi A.

Yelp
Tasty taco options for a late night snack. Good drinks as well. Will try a again for a full dinner.

Jala S.

Yelp
10/10 definitely vibes the birria tacos were sooo delicious and the bar stage was amazing

Chris R.

Yelp
What a great experience! The staff treated our party like we the only ones there and that was awesome. Our server stayed with us all night. The security was really attentive. The crowd was rocking and music was on point. Great times all around! I'd book another table!

Rocky W.

Yelp
My friends and I came here as we were bar hopping on a beautiful Saturday evening. The interior inside was pretty nice and upscale. Their prices for food and drinks were a bit pricey, but this is Seaport after all. They have some tables by a balcony which have a really nice view. As a plus, the Grand, which is a decent nightclub is upstairs if you want to turnup. We were hungry so we ordered the Appetizer Sampler which came with Scorpion Wings, Empanada, Nachos, Carne Flautas, and Taquitos and it was AWESOME! Especially the wings! The service was good, despite being busy we got our food and drinks pretty quick. There was a cocktail waitress that came out free shots of beers which was nice. Overall, I would recommend giving this place a try.

Chris N.

Yelp
The guy at the entrance wouldn't let my friends wife in because her ID is from Nevada, kind of annoying considering her ID was real and we just wanted dinner, we will never return because of this and we were regulars.

Reema P.

Yelp
Disappointing!!! Used to rave about their nachos, and only went back for their nachos. Come to find out I get a pathetic 1 layer of chips plate. What's up with that? $14, no meat and most definitely not the quantity you want when you're ordering a tray of nachos--especially for a few people. This place used to be good, but cutting back noticeably on your best dish without warning means I won't be going back. The rest of their food was never impressive to begin with.

Shannon M.

Yelp
Took my friends that were visiting to this new spot(to me, since I haven't lived in Mass for ten years). It was fun, we didn't stay for the music but I will be back to get the full experience!!

Mary M.

Yelp
This bar has an amazing vibe. I posted pictures of it on my Instagram which is the Savory sooner.

Madison E.

Yelp
Went here with a group of girls last month. We had terrible service and the food was very over priced. One of our group members didn't get her order for at least 30 minutes after everyone else got theirs and we couldn't find anyone to address the issue. Just arrived for a night out with a group of girls and one friend who is homosexual and were told they were full. A group of men after us who were our same size and did not have a reservation were let in without question. Will not be going back.

Khushboo P.

Yelp
If you want to maintain your grace and dignity as a customer, do not go to the scorpion bar! They ruined our Saturday night. This place is not worth our time and money! Plus there is nothing great in the food either! We were a party of 6 and were so excited to go to the scorpion bar that we waited for 1.5 hours over there to get a table. However, the guard at the door who the manager addressed as the "director" spoke extremely rudely to us. I have never heard anybody speak to a customer in such a derogatory manner! It was a really rude, humiliating and insulting experience. Upon going in after the long wait, we were given a table right under the speaker where the music was really really loud. When we requested to switch to another table outside we were told it is reserved and that we cannot be given another table. However, the reality was, that no one turned up on that table till we left! It was very evident that we were deliberately denied our request. When we requested and asked if the music volume can be lowered a little we were told "this is how we want it, we cannot lower the volume". It is okay if you want to maintain a certain decibel level at a restaurant, but there's a way to speak to a customer. We are not taking your services for free! Due to the loud music the server could not hear our order properly and brought us a burrito instead of an empanada. The loud music and the way our table was situated could not let the 6 of us converse while having dinner. It defeated our entire purpose of meeting and going out. When we brought all of this to the managers' notice before we left, he was unapologetic and was extremely cold toward us. It seemed as if he doesn't care. On the whole it was an unpleasant and displeasing experience which ruined our Saturday night!

Vishwal N.

Yelp
The hostess and the manager were extremely rude. We went to scorpion to celebrate one of our friends birthday and after leaving it felt like this was a bad decision of going to scorpion bar. We were seated underneath a loud music speaker. The music being so loud were not even able to interact amongst each other. We asked multiple time to turn down the music a little so that we can have a good dining experience but the reply that we got was "the manager wants it like that". The bouncer on the entry door was the rudest person i would ever see in my life. We were waiting to be seated on the first floor and two of our party members arrived a little after. His way of asking them why they needed to enter was extremely bad and rude. This was the first experience entering into the restaurant. I would not recommend someone to go to scorpion after such an experience. The drinks and the server were the only two good things that we came across during our time here.

Olivia W.

Yelp
Definitely worth going for taco Tuesday! They serve all the tacos on their menu for just $4 each so you can try a lot without spending a fortune. The margarita was good - a yummy compliment to the tacos. My absolute favorite thing we tried was the chips and guacamole - it doesn't look like much, but trust me it's more than enough for two. Service was very friendly and we were able to sit in the small 'outdoor' area which had a good view of the Seaport main drag. Overall I would definitely recommend coming to Scorpion Bar!
