Are these the best cupcakes ever? YES. I have been coming here for several years and out of so many cupcakes in my life, Scott Cakes continuously takes the top spot. Scott is the nicest and most hardworking owner and the staff are all extremely sweet and helpful. But his cupcakes? These are the REAL DEAL. The cupcake itself is fluffy and moist but also has a nice light vanilla flavor and the frosting is to die for!! Like seriously, I can’t get enough of it! It’s truly like none other I’ve ever tried and you can also order shipping across the USA (see pic below)! Not to mention that this place is a gem of Province Town and any friend or family member I can bring here, I make sure I do! I absolutely, 100% recommend this place and once you come - you can’t help but become a regular!! 🧁

Had to revisit to get a cupcake after a long run & they are yummy but I do find the frosting to be awfully sweet. Hardworking staff who are constantly busy and polite to everyone. A few small tables you can sit at but most folks just take them to go!

I was a bit surprised they had only one kind of cupcake. I thought if they are open with only 1 kind they must be good so I decided to get 6 mini cupcakes. My goodness! The best frosting I have ever had! I went for another 6 to give it to my neighbors. I highly recommend it.

When it come to some things classic is better. A plain vanilla cupcake with pink frosting. It’s plain and delicious!

Worth the hype. My family has been long time Scott Cakes customers, it’s a must stop every time we’re in Provincetown. Tonight I discovered they have a gluten-free cupcake and its unbelievable how delicious and fresh it was! Absolutely recommend and will be back!

The best cupcakes I’ve had - second place going to Magnolia Bakery in New York. Light, fluffy, perfectly sweet, homemade-tasting cake with a creamy frosting. In love. Only 1 flavor - vanilla with pink frosting, and a choice between mini or classic (get classic, you’ll want it all, and probably another after that)

OMG! These cupcakes are amazing! They are impressively moist and the frosting is to die for!!! Their customer service is incredible, we had a bit of an issue that was cleared up immediately. We’ll definitely be coming back for Scott’s delightful treats! Thanks for a great customer service experience!

Very simple and VERY VERY GOOD. You’ve got two size options and that’s it. Order triple the amount you think you want and take the extras home. Every summer I make a pilgrimage to Ptown largely to get these cupcakes.

Received my gingerbread men in a reasonable amount of time. Would have appreciated 2 brief emails saying working on your order and a brief notification of shipment. The cookies just appeared at my door about 3 weeks after ordering. I would still order from ScottCakes again. Cookies are great size for decorating and come very well packaged. to avoid breakage in transit.

Scott cakes was a lovely dessert in ptown. They serve pink cupcakes and not a lot else. The thing is, that id always rather have a place do one thing really well, rather than sell a bunch of mediocre products. Definitely check them out for a sweet treat.

The waiter at Lobster Pot told us about this bakery where 1 guys only sells 1 item: a vanilla cupcake with pink frosting. We decided to go find it because this waiter said it was the best cupcake he's ever had. I love this place, conceptually: a small bake shop that literally specializes in 1 exceptional thing. However, execution-wise, I don't think it lives up to that concept. Don't get me wrong, the cupcake is quite delicious... but is it delicious enough to get me to come back time and time again? Probably not. Also just way too expensive for the size

They sell one thing & one thing only - a yellow cake cupcake with a thick slab of pink buttercream icing on top, in two sizes... But man oh man it is AWESOME!!! The Best Cupcake I've had anywhere & I've eaten them all across the country & in other countries as well. Just the Best Cupcake™ you'll ever eat - So Great!

Went to ScottCakes in Provincetown on Cape Cod, as it was strongly recommended by a few women who were exiting the bakery as we were contemplating going in. I love cupcakes like the next person, so we decided to go in. The pink frosted cupcakes looked great and ended up tasting great as well. However, when my husband paid for the two cupcakes we bought, but did not tip, the gal at the register ringing us up gave him an eye roll and an under her breath laugh. When we are buying two cupcakes that to begin with, are not cheap, and we were very friendly and complimentary of the cupcakes, we found it offensive that she reacted like she did. More training of employees interacting properly with their customers needed there.

Delicious cupcakes - satisfying my sugar fix two days in a row while on vacation in Provincetown. My kids just couldn't get enough. The bakery only serves one color frosting - PINK. Nothing to think about, just run over and get some. Comes in a mini or standard size cupcake. There's bistro tables outside if you wish to eat them straightaway. Or the super friendly staff can box them up for you. Depending on how many you buy, they usually can box it without an issue. We grabbed paper plates and just gobbled it up in an instant at one of the bistro tables. Can't miss the bright pink storefront but know it's one level down from street level. For those who can't do stairs, there is a sloped ramp/walkway that goes down to the shop, just hang a sharp right.

I love dessert, so I was curious to try ScottCakes. We tried to visit one day this last summer, but we came at the wrong time and they were closed. Made it back another day on our Ptown vacation and finally got a few. The cakes are a bit on the pricey side, but this is Cape Cod in the summer and most items will be costly. The cupcakes themselves were fairly average, I'd give them a 7.5 out of 10. There was nothing that really wowed me, especially for the cost. The cake portion didn't wow me and the frosting was just OK. I expected them to knock my socks off. Were they bad? No. It would be nice to see more cupcake flavors available too.

If you go to ScottCakes, you will have the best cupcake of your life. He only makes one kind, and the reason for this is that he knows best. He has truly perfected his craft down in Provincetown, and it shows. These cupcakes are the perfect after-lunch snack to munch on as you walk up and down Provincetown's Main Street. 1000% worth the price (large cupcakes are $4). Usually, Scott himself is there, working the register and warmly greeting people who walk in. Lots of related merch and decor inside to check out, but overall a pretty small shop. Highly recommend!

I was in Ptown for a week last week, stopped here 3 times. These babies refrigerate well, and it was just as good 2 days out of the fridge as they were the day we bought them. Very simple, very well done, buttercream outstanding!

Wow. The place looks cute and the line goes quickly. They only offer 1 flavor of cupcake in a small or large. The cupcake was surprisingly disappointing as it truly was nothing special and tasted like the cupcakes mix and frosting mix you buy at a grocery store that you could make at home. I think people go here bc of the color of the frosting, but it just tastes like vanilla. This is a skip for me in the future.

We were lucky to find Scott open on our 1 day in town. We bought 6 cupcakes for the 4 of us. They were gone by bedtime. Kinda wish we had bought more. They are heavenly!

An amateur baker myself, I wondered why a shop with such limited options does so well, but one bite of these perfectly baked (moist, springy) sponges with the expert ratio of frosting and you will understand like I did. Forget the mini size... You want the full original. Worth every calorie.

They do one thing and they do it darn well! I got the mini cupcakes. They were soft and so delicious, couldn't stop eating them. The buttercream isn't too buttery or heavy. Just the right amount of cream and compliments the fluffy cupcake well. The interior is super cute and everything is pink themed. They do mini size ($2) and regular size ($4). The best part? They accept credit cards!

Our cottage was located just a few minutes from Provincetown so we decided to stop by and I saw good reviews for ScottCakes on Google & Yelp before going. While walking around town we came across it so we had to try! The tiny shop was very cute and smelled heavenly. If they made a candle of this shop we would purchase it! The staff was very friendly and kind. We got the smallest scottcakes because we were already stuffed from other treats. It was well worth it. So delicious! The cake was perfectly moist and flavorful and the frosting was its perfect compliment. Not too much & not too little frosting. There's only one kind of cupcake here and it's vanilla with I believe vanilla pink frosting. However, no other flavor is needed it's perfect! Stop by for a small treat that you're bound to miss once leaving the Cape.

I'm a big fan of this simple philosophy: do one thing and do it really well. And, if you can survive as a business making pretty, pink, vanilla concoctions....fabulous! I was in Provincetown a few weeks ago and was happy to see that ScottCakes was open. Sometimes it's closed when I've visited off-season-ish. The smell is divine and the person behind the counter was friendly. I snagged a mini cupcake to devour ASAP and picked up a half dozen larger ones to bring back to the hotel for sharing. These are super sweet; so prepare for a sugar coma if you eat a whole large cupcake. Vanilla cake is moist and the products are always really fresh. The frosting is true buttercream...simple and yummy. This is not a variety-laden "crumbs" type bakery. Vanilla frosting on vanilla cake. You get what you see and smell. Sweet.

Stopped in during our trip to P-Town to try these iconic cupcakes! I was glad that they offered both mini and full sized cupcakes. The cake was so moist, and I appreciated that the buttercream wasn't overly sugary. It was very light and satisfied my craving for sweets! Though I'm a chocoholic and wish they had a chocolate option, I respect what they're doing by picking one thing and doing it right!

Phenomenal! Absolutely wonderful, grab a box to go. They are take out only and have mini or large cupcakes. Only one flavor, but promise you they won't disappoint. I am not a vanilla person and these truly converted me. Even my husband who is a picky dessert man crushed these. Strongly recommend, don't leave P-town without one :)

Cute little cupcake shop. We saw a handful of people with pink boxes while walking down Commercial Street and wondered where they came from. I saw someone eating a mini cupcake and it looked super moist so we decided to pick some up. They're buy 5 get 1 free, so we got half a dozen. The price isn't too excessive, given that I'm from NYC and everything is expensive here. The cupcakes were just OK - not bad, but nothing to write home about. The buttercream was not too sweet, which I like, but the entire cupcake just didn't have too much flavor.

Someone on the beach suggested I check out ScottCakes. They told me that they only sell one flavor of cupcake, but it's really good. In my head I'm thinking, "Okay but how good a cupcake be. And only one flavor?" Let me tell you, we ended up buying a dozen for our week-long trip. These cupcakes are the perfect decadent bite for those who like to treat themselves on vacation.

I know what you're thinking... all they sell is cupcakes, and only 1 flavor?? Trust me, this has been a mandatory stop on our annual Cape vacation for several years now. All I can say is OMG. I'm not normally a big "Sweets" person, but I would crawl over a dying relative to get to one of these f-ing cupcakes!! Seriously... The - Best - Ever! If you're in P-town... get yourself to ScottCakes!! (PS- right across the alley there is a great little french bistro to grab some yummy coffee to go with your ScottCake.)

On a crawl through town at the end of our evening - we heard the siren song of Provincetown's famous pink iced cupcake. Had to try one ... and if you are familiar ... compared it to my beloved SusieCakes back home. My partner loved the ScottCakes cup cake ... so I'm going with her recommendation this time. For me ... it was probably more of a 4 star based on the icing - but I am spoiled by SusieCakes. Love that they are open late. The service was friendly and they were happy to share the ScottyCakes story with us!

We got two mini cupcakes. It was moist and good for a vanilla cupcake though it did remind me of grocery cake mix. I'm not sure what the background is as to why there is only one flavor, but I think the real test would be what other flavors would taste like

Our friends bought us the strawberry mini cupcakes and none of us from out of town were impressed, sadly. The icing is good and they are very lite, but nothing special. Maybe there's more to the owner/store/location, etc. but we didn't feel the need to return.

This place offers only ONE cupcake variety and once you taste it you'll be hooked. It's fabulously delicious and sinful! Scott's pink boxes are akin to the blue Tiffany box throughout the outer cape- folks immediately know you've got THE coveted Scott Cakes! A tremendously successful hostess gift too.

Scottcakes is amazing but losing a star due to unreasonable hours! We literally had to make it a point to check everyday and see when Scott would decide to come in... One day, the store had a sign that said "Be Back at Noon!" for three DAYS!!! Luckily, we were able to stop by on the last day of our vacation and try the scottcakes. They were amazing, moist, buttery, and just the perfect little treat. The store is super cute inside.

If you have never been to Scott, cakes, you have missed out on the most wonderful cupcake you may ever have. When we are in Provincetown, we have to go there at least a few times while we are there. The cupcakes are to die for; the icing is outstanding. Don't miss the opportunity to try them. I promise you, you will go back more than one time! five stars for sure!

Although I am allergic to their products. (Gluten free but not gluten and dairy free) Scott and their lovely employees are more than happy to make any customers experience unforgettable. Scottcakes will go out of their way to make their customers happy. Whether visiting a friend with delicious treats after an emergency surgery, or going out of their way to ensure customers are happy after hours, this delicious and iconic pink dessert will always be the heart and sole of Provincetown.

SERIOUSLY!!!! We walked by this place and a PASSERBY recommended it! These cupcakes are perfect. Truly. Rich buttercream frosting and a delightfully light and airy cupcake. Love the fact there is just ONE CHOICE...and a delectable one at that. Love the branding, everything. There are some tables out front, but we did not even have time to sit down before gobbling down these tasty treats. Lovely balance of sugar in the frosting and not too sweet. We've sampled cupcakes all over the country and these are now the gold standard. Other cupcakes' frosting is too thick or too sweet and the cake is too dense...I really loved the consistency of the cake. So so so this is what it feels like to match taste buds with a cupcake at your level, what the hell is the catch?! Mmmmmmmmm

I had my doubts. But wow. Haven't stopped thinking about that cupcake for weeks. Might be worth the 5 hour drive to P-town.

Sooo delicious. I wish we lived closer to have more cupcakes with pink frosting. Not too sweet, and so fresh.

I'd eat these cupcakes off the ground. Had heard good things, but didn't anticipate there only being one flavor. Turns out , it was my favorite flavor, perfection.

ScottCakes offers only one option of cupcake. Turns out the saying focus on what you do best applies here at ScottCakes! This one cupcake is the absolute most delicious cupcake I have ever had. The scent when you walk into the little basement cupcake shop instantly makes your mouth water and your heart jump for joy. I almost felt like a kid at a candy store. It took me back to another time in life. When I bit into the moist cupcake I was then sent straight to heaven! This is a must stop when in Ptown. ScottCakes are a local favorite and now I know why. I am in love with their single cupcake offering. You have to try one for yourself, you will absolutely not regret it.

My friends and I were looking for a place to pick up a cake for another friend's birthday, and several other business owners recommended ScottCakes (cupcakes only, no cakes). I had also happened to visit earlier that day to treat myself to a cupcake, and fate would have it that I ended up in the late afternoon to buy another six pack for the six of us. The lone employee was busy applying icing to a fresh batch of cupcakes when we walked in and immediately turned to us and eagerly agreed to adding extra icing on the cupcakes we bought. The interior is tiny and a bit dark. There is just one small counter. Not a place you sit down and eat. They specialize in one kind of cupcake and one kind of cupcake ONLY. There are regular sizes and minis. Very simple and straightforward. Buy 6 and pay for only 5! Great deal. Friendly, engaging service. Divine cupcakes! Perfect for the late afternoon pick-me-up. Or an early-morning snack. Or a mid-day snack. :) Definitely stop in. Don't think. Do!

This bakery is such a charming little surprise! They only make one kind of "cupcake" in varying sizes--vanilla with strawberry buttercream--but the cupcake itself is very tasty. Light and not too sweet and buttery, without being dry. Perfect icing to cake ratio as well. Service is fast and friendly, and the minis will run you $2 per with a buy 5 get 1 free deal too. There's a buy 5 get 1 free deal for either the regular ($4) or minis ($2). We got the regular to share between the 2 of us, and we immediately were tempted to get more for friends back home. We weren't sure if it would keep past the day of, so we reluctantly chose not to, but we would come back here if we've back in Provincetown.

Omg these are good! A lot of places now makes these well decorated cupcakes that taste like bleh. These are not like that. It's brightly colored pink, but otherwise pretty simple. And hot damn delicious! Tastes like a piece of cake married a cheesecake. I don't know, just try one and be happy!

Cupcakes are amazing! However the owner should invest individual cupcakes dividers for the box. 12 mini cupcakes for $25 just to be destroyed because they're top heavy and fall over. No matter how careful you are. But def a must!

Alright, I admit that I made fun of this place while I research for places to go on my trip to P-town. I saw photos and thought, how does this place only made 1 type of cupcakes with 1 type of icing and survive? Like, how about a chocolate one or a rainbow color one or some other flavors. But honestly it was good and made right and there's nothing that can be critiqued. The cake was soft and moist and light, the buttercream was rich and silky and not overtly sweet. I can see it being the perfect treat after school or after dinner, anytime in the day for people of all ages. I mean, I can still see a rich chocolate ganache/buttercream but if it ain't broke, right?

Having previously lived in NYC for roughly 15 years, I've had my share of much-hyped cupcakes. Drumroll... ScottCakes has, perhaps, the best cupcakes I've ever had. They're so simple, so scrumptious and so satisfying. Moist cake, not-sickeningly-sweet frosting, always pretty in pink. The missing star is only because the hours of operation are often inconsistent. I've seen it closed on a Labor Day weekend, and open in the dead of winter, and it seems to vary from year to year, holiday to holiday. (One time there was a note on the door that said "Back in 5 minutes"...and it stayed there for roughly 2 days.) And because I love them so much, it's all the more heartbreaking whenever I see their lights out. Still, a fave.

Truly the perfect cupcake. Not too sweet, creamy frosting with nice flavor. Moist and delicious cake. Two sizes is all you need. Been sending them to all my family around the country. Praises all around.

These cupcakes are amazing. I know you have heard that before. But cmon. Just try it. They sell mini cupcakes for 2.50 that are amazing.
