AC/DC Power Up Europe Tour 2025: Tickets, Dates, Presale & Price

As the finale venue for AC/DC’s 2025 European Power Up tour on August 21, this stadium in Edinburgh will host the closing show of the summer run, marking the end of the European leg with a huge, climactic rock performance. - Liv Kelly

Visited for an Oasis gig. Overall the access in and out is good. Views and atmosphere also are of a high standard. Let down by the facilities and ability to get food and drink in a timely fashion. If the latter could be fixed it would be five stars. Might be better for less busy events.

First time attending a live concert at Murryfield Stadium (AC/DC) and I have to say, I was very surprised at how good the acoustics were. There was obviously ample space to move around on the standing, pitch area. Ticket scanning, security, etc. were all very good. The only real negatives would be: The £7 per glass of cider (from a standard can). Long, slow moving queues for merchandise made it impossible to purchase anything without doing so during the concert. Egress from the stadium standing area was fairly chaotic. Initially most people were trying to squeeze out through the main large exit, which caused a bottleneck. Eventually people realised they could climb over into the seating area and go up the steps to exits in the stands. Overall though, an enjoyable experience.

Fantastic night! Sadly, the tram was overrun. It was controlled well by the tram staff. G4S, however, didn't control the crowd well; it felt very unsafe. When I asked for help to point out disabled access, the G4S staff laughed and told me to wait in a crowd for access to a line to walk up stairs, as opposed to a lift access I found myself due to my disability [walking with a stick]. So standing and stairs are an issue for me.

Oasis’ second night at Murrayfield was a biblical affair, proving the reunion is far more than a nostalgia trip. The band, sounding colossal and tight, delivered a setlist heavy with their '90s imperial phase. Liam's voice was in powerful form, while Noel’s solo acoustic set offered a stripped-back moment of brilliance. The crowd, a sea of Mancunian and Scottish swagger, sang every word back with a passion that was almost a religious experience. The atmosphere was electric, a perfect storm of rock and roll swagger and communal euphoria, proving that the Gallagher brothers' magic remains potent.

Google
A big stadium we'll organized for getting everyone in and out, card only so looses a star always from me for bullying customers to pay one way only. Plenty of food and beer stands on site from Ice Cream to Greek food and everything in between. Stands need a mop or power wash really dirty floor but good views a well balanced stadium overall. AVDC were brilliant we had a great visit.

Google
We were here to see Oasis and not sure what to expect in getting in and out of this place with such a big crowd. Overall, the experience was a good one with crowds moved easily into and out of the stadium. It can be a bit of a long walk into the stadium depending on the color coding of your tickets. Be prepared for Ling lines, but they were always moving.

Álvaro L.

Google
Access to the stadium was easy and straightforward, which was great. However, the organization inside was a bit messy — there was some confusion with the lines and staff directions. The stadium is big and the bathrooms were clean and well-kept, which is always a nice surprise. Despite being a summer concert, it didn’t feel too hot on the floor, which made the experience much more enjoyable. Just a tip: try to leave quickly after the event, because the metro gets really crowded and it can take a while to get out if you wait too long.

Google
Watched AC/DC here August 21st, what a great music venue this is, whilst it's great for rugby it's nice to see the stadium being used for music as well. No issues getting in and out, all the staff we spoke to were pleasant and helpful.

Yelp
Murrayfield is a world class stadium in Edinburgh, used largely for rugby: local, national, and international. I've attended many times, and my favourite without a doubt has been to see Scotland Vs. Ireland in the Six Nations. The atmosphere is electric in a packed Murrayfield, and it's difficult not to get involved in the excitement when you're surrounded by tens of thousands of enthusiastic fans. And, of course, the rugby crowd is a fun, friendly bunch of people, so there's no better place to be than Murrayfield on a Six Nations day. Edinburgh Rugby also play their home matches at the stadium (albeit, with a much smaller crowd), and I've also attended for the Scottish Varsity Match between Edinburgh and St. Andrews Universities. There is always a good selection of bar and food trucks, so you won't go hungry or thirsty, though don't expect the prices at these to be friendly to your wallet. :)

Yelp
I've been to Murrayfield a few times for Scotland rugby games over the years and this time we headed along for the Edinburgh v Glasgow clash in the 1872 cup (which sadly Glasgow lost!). So some plus points about Murrayfield - the new tram stop makes getting to the ground infinitely easier than it used to be (even if they are super busy!), there is never a bad seat in the venue, seriously you get a good view from everywhere! And lastly the food choices here are pretty amazing. Now to the bad points, of which there are a few. The bars are quite far away from the seats - although they do offer a good choice and are the average prices for rugby grounds. My biggest problem has to be the toilets, of which I can only speak for the ladies. Old metal toilet bowls, with drilled down half wooden seats. Not the height of luxury by any stretch, and all capped off with only COLD water to wash your hands. I'm sure murrayfield was renovated not so long ago, clearly the toilets were overlooked!

Yelp
If you thought the other three Ghostbusters were sad that they didn't make Ghostbusters 3, how do you think Bill Murray feeled? Exactly. First-Hand Experience: I wasn't treated very well here. The Rugby game was thrilling, not because of the action, I don't like Rugby, but because of the intense, packed, passionate crowd watching their home team of Scotland. What. A Thrill. Just need to get to Hampden for a Scotland game now. Also, the employees of the stadium were not particularly friendly at all. So this is really a 5-star stadium, and the only reason it receives a deduction is (1) the stewards were very unfriendly to me, and (2) it doesn't have a footy team playing here. It's too good of a stadium not to. I'm really not into rugby, and when a facility like this doesn't have a team, it's just a shame. Hearts or a new team should play here, I would think. Or Scotland should play some games here. They did watch Hearts play a friendly here against Barcelona to a sell out 58k crowd, but come on, what about on the regular? Anyway, it's one of the crown jewels of Scotland and is truly impressive and modern with 67k people able to get in here, and it looks a lot like the San Siro.

Yelp
There are very few instances where you will see me fangirl out like a crazy person: 1. For grumpy cat. 2. For any Doctor Who actor with the exception of ... because really, no one liked him very much. And 3. The All Blacks. Yup. I'm a secret rugby junkie. And by secret, I mean not at all, because I will bring it up at every possible occasion. But when I found out the All Blacks were playing Scotland a mere few weeks after I landed in Edina? Well Edinburgh, you're officially stuck with me you beautiful, serendipitous devil. Here's what I learned at Murrayfield Stadium: 1. The Scottish rugby team is much better than I was expecting. Calm down. This doesn't mean I didn't love them from the beginning - i'm from Canada, have you SEEN our team? And I loved THEM. So shush - I like an underdog. What I mean is that Scotland held it's own against the All Blacks when I was expecting them to be crushed. Call me a new Scottish superfan... 2. Scotland is cold. Bring a sweater. 3. The line ups for the ladies toilets are as bad in Scotland as in Canada and you should definitely not wait until the last possible moment or you're going to be stuck uncomfortably dancing in line. 4. The food selection is surprisingly good for a stadium. Tip of the hat to the food trucks. 5. As is the beer. Though it will come in strange plastic sippy cup bottles that will make you feel like a teenager. 6. Bagpipes are always delightful. 7. Scottish fans are perhaps the nicest people in the world and will stick to the bitter end to applaud their team instead of ducking out in the last ten minutes to try and beat rush hour. It's nice. All in all, this was one of the most pleasant stadium visits to date. It's exceptionally busy and the line ups for everything are super long - but it's stadium. What did you expect? However, the decent beverage selection and promise of BBQ'ed meats, take this place up a notch. I look forward to many a fangirl moment here to come.

Yelp
A very nice modern stadium with a perfect view of the game! And if you aren´t a nitwit who forgot his binoculars in his suitcase, you will enjoy the game even better :) The stadium has fantastic acoustic, and when Flower of Scotland started to sound, even a sly cynic´s eye shed a few tears!!! One star down is necessary! Paying by one´s card can be done nowhere, the mobile ATM queues didn´t match the number of visitors, you could get beer only outside the stadium at refreshment stalls with endless crowds queuing... At least queues the toilet queues moved fast... Velmi pěkný moderní stadion s dokonalým přehledem o hře! A když nejste trouba, co si zapomene dalekohled v kufru, užijte si to ještě víc :) Stadion má fantastickou akustiku a když se rozeznělo Flower of Scotland, muselo zaslzet i oko otřelého cynika!!! Hvězda dolů je ale nezbytná! Nikde se nedá platit kartou, fronty u pojízdného bankomatu neodpovídaly počtu návštěvníků ani omylem, pivo jen u stánků s občerstvením před stadionem a před nimi nekonečné davy... Fronty na toaletách alespoň postupovaly rychle...

Yelp
As I said in the previous review, I was attending Murrayfield for a football match; going for a Rugby game, and a game against New Zealand was a whole new kettle of monkeys, if I can mix my metaphors. As a rugby stadium, it's so much more fluid, there's more food trucks, more entertainment and things to see and do inside the gates and much more orientated towards a happy experience - a radio set is offered for you to listen to the referee's calls if you want for a fiver! The atmosphere was astounding. Simply astounding. I would go as far as to say that you have to experience it if you're any sort of sports fan or super patriotic towards Scotland in any way. The build up that the SRU put on before kick off left goosebumps on my arm. Seriously - nab a ticket for a Scotland match and turn up in plenty of time to soak it all in. One of the most memorable experiences I've ever had at a sports event. Just fantastic.

Yelp
I have not been to many rugby stadiums in my time, but have been to dozens of football stadiums and I can confirm that this place is a seriously good venue to watch any sporting spectacle. For such a big stadium, you feel really close to the action, no matter where you are sitting and before the Scottish rugby you are given a cultural show beforehand which sets you in good stead for the ensuing match. The ticket prices are fantastic when you compare them to football matches and if you are a student you can get some really cheap seats. Last year i was able to see Scotland host Italy for only £10. What's more is that the stadium has some of the best food and drink stalls offering a variety of different food and although the prices aren't terrific they aren't horrendously bad, which most major stadiums are.

Yelp
Murrayfield is a bit of a legendary sporting venue, accommodating Edinburgh's love of a good rugby match. All of Scotland's major rugby matches are played here, and the Murrayfield area is always buzzing with people around the time of the Six Nations, and any other major rugby event for that matter. The stadium is large, to use a probably underwhelming word, as it's tricky to do a stadium justice unless you actually go and witness an event there, and it has a capacity of over 67,000. If you've not got time to go and see a match here, and you just fancy a peek round the stadium, tours are relatively cheap, and you can get more info on the website. Seeing as I'm not the biggest rugby aficionado in the world, I'd probably be more inclined to go and see something of the musical variety at Murrayfield. The most recent gig I saw here was Oasis, which was rammed to the highly numbered rows with people wanting a peek at the Britpop legends. A great venue to behold one of my favourite ever bands, and I'm glad I got in there when I did, seeing as they've now split up, sob.

Yelp
I spent an hour agonizing over the best seats to choose for the France-Scotland match, as I wanted to get good value for money! All this proved futile, because when we arrived, charged and covered in face paint (I diplomatically had both teams' flags on either cheek) we realized it's a rare seat in this stadium that would give a bad view. Now whilst this is great news, it also means that some seats are a little too far away even if one can see the whole playing field. The sheer size of the stadium meant that it took a five minute walk just to get to the west stand! Finding the seats would have been even more difficult with the endless rows and rows, but thankfully some nice staff on hand directed us to them. The atmosphere was brilliant with a lot of French support ..."Allez les bleus!" resignated throughout the stadium, and I have to say I joined in and wasn't very loyal to my adopted home team. However, the match subsequently settled hit a bit of a lull, but I suppose it wasn't the stadium's fault! The ticket shop was efficient, the seating areas were extremely clean and there were food stalls outside in case anyone got hungry. I will say that they definitely need to invest in more toilets, because during the break (France was winning and the Scottish flag had been tactfully wiped off my face) the line was ridiculously long. Any one in desperate need would have had to forfeit a lot the match! Otherwise, nice stadium, much bigger than I expected and conveniently served by a few bus lines from the city centre!
google avatar

Robert L.

Yelp
If you do want to come here, then ideally you want to come for a rugby game, simply because that is the sport this stadium was built to show and when you do decide to come you'll find it won't cost you much to do so even during the Six Nations. You do get football games here, most notably for any European cup runs the Edinburgh teams might be having, but really this place deserves to be given the chance to show you a decent rugby clash. Even if you are not a great sports fan, watching a game at a stadium like this is not the same as watching it on the telly - it really is a completely different prospect. Instead of being solely about watching the game it's all about the atmosphere and during Six Nation clashes the atmosphere really is electric. On these days the stadium does deliver all it promises and if you get the chance to see a Scottish game here, do take the chance.

Yelp
it was my first visit to Murrayfield since the late 80's for a 6 nations match. hallelujah we won! I was very impressed by how it has changed. I know it was a huge game but the pre-match entertainment and stalls just outside the arena made for a fun walk round. Only in Edinburgh would you have the oysters and champagne bus, can't remember seeing that outside Hampden . The beer was also reasonably priced with a pint of Tennants £4.60 (I know, it's Tennants but that's not a bad stadium price). There are a lot of stairs but I'm sure, if you ask, there will be more accessible routes. It was family friendly (no-one drunk or constantly swearing) and with both sides mingling it would be a good family day out. The toilets are basic but as there are loads of them you don't have to wait too long. With around 68,000 seats it's a decent size and I think your get a good view anywhere though they do have large screens and you can buy ref radios (£5) if you want to hear then discussing their decisions. A grand day out.

Yelp
I recently did the stadium tour with my girlfriend and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We'd an afternoon to kill before we got our flight home and thought it might be interesting - we were proven right. Our tour guide Alex was brilliant and full of interesting facts about the stadium and it's history. A really nice guy who you could tell really enjoys the work he does. The tour lasted 90 minutes and was well worth the money. We got a true in-depth behind the scenes view of the Stadium and as there was a international match that weekend against the All-Blacks, the place had a decent buzz around it. Definitely worth a visit.

Yelp
Murrayfield is an awesome stadium; I've been there on many occasions, and whether I was there for the rugby, football or concerts every time it's been brilliant. You can't beat sitting in the middle of 70,000 fans watching a Scotland rugby international with 'The Flower of Scotland' ringing in your ears. One word Goosebumps. The stadium is also home to the Edinburgh Gunners. At all the events I've been to the staff have always been friendly and helpful, the only criticism I do have is the food and drink is quite pricey and not really value for money, but then personally I don't go for the food. I've also been to a few functions (xmas parties and work events) and found the venues pleasant and the staff courteous You can also take a tour in the stadium where you get access to areas you wouldn't normally see i.e. team dressing rooms, trophy room etc Murrayfield is a brilliant venue for sporting events and concerts and there is always a fabulous atmosphere.

Yelp
I came to Murrayfield to see Scotland put in a record win over Italy in a World Cup warm game as the tickets were only £15 each for a seat behind the posts which offered a good view of the pitch. The weather was really warm and bright which I wasn't expecting to find in Scotland. The atmosphere inside was great with Flower of Scotland and 500 Miles by the Proclaimers sounding amazing even though the stadium was only two thirds full. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of bar facilities in the ground compared with the Millennium Stadium or Twickenham. They were all located outside and had prohibitive queues stretching from them which is why I can't give Murrayfield more than three stars.
google avatar

Julia D.

Yelp
This was my first rugby match ever! Pluses: 1. I won a free keychain and Matt won rugby tickets from these Guinness promo people. 2. Nice bathrooms. 3. Generally nice fans. 4. Cheap tickets--£15. Minuses: 1. Drunk fans who spilled beer on people. 2. No food or drinks in the stands. The queues for the drink tents were super long. 3. Horrible sound system. All in all really fun. I need to work on learning the rules of rugby.
google avatar

Gavin M.

Yelp
Your liking / disliking of Murrayfield will inevitably be proportional to your liking / disliking of the game of rugby itself. I'm not particularly keen, but that's more to do with the fans rather than the game, which despite having a few flaws (too much scoring, it's often beneficial to kick the ball out of the field) has the potential to be very exciting. Having grown up with football, a game open to all races and walks of life, which shows both social and cultural influences miles away from the stadium, rugby does however feel like a bit of a non-event. It has a very niche market, and a fairly large proportion of the fans that go do it solely as they feel it heightens their social status among the paved driveways of the suburban, culturally vapid middle class. I want my fans at the stadium to be baying for blood, I want "welcome to hell" banners and riot police firing tear gas. I don't want some drunken poshos singing inoffensive songs and exchanging jovial banter with their rivals. I do get mildly sucked in during the Six Nations occasionally mind you, and in terms of the stadium itself, you won't find a much more sizeable or well-appointed arena than this one. I just wish I could watch a highly organised, tactical 0-0 draw from it's stands.

Yelp
i found myself a Murrayfield Stadium last night to watch Edinburgh Rugby take on the newly formed Zebre team (from Italy i think...). I've been to Murrayfield a number of times thanks to an ex boyfriend turning me into an avid Edinburgh and Scotland rugby fan! This review will be short...it's a stadium, there isn't really much to say. The stadium is a bit old though and could use an update in terms of the loos and food facilities available. However, it does what it needs to and seats people to watch good quality rugby (well sometimes...) and has a mostly covered seating area so when it rains people don't get wet. there is also a handy Scotland rugby shop so you can buy your fan apparel, which i admit i have a few items of.... so yes, it's a stadium that needs updating but it's perfectly acceptable for what it does. i only wish they would provide heaters for the freezing cold weather that fans are forced to watch the rugby matches in!! at least Edinburgh won which made sitting in the cold for two hours totally worthwhile!

Yelp
Welcome to the home of Scottish Rugby! Went to see Scotland get wiped by South Africa!! ..... Fantastic sport/music Stadium ( Been here a few times)! Great atmosphere and friendly staff! All under cover which is handy in this Scottish climate!
google avatar

Lindsay O.

Yelp
Love this stadium and I'm sorry not to be able to rate it higher but turning off the water to the sinks and toilets in the ladies loos at the end of a 6 nation match (Scotland v Wales) doesn't give a great impression to visitors. Come on Murrayfield, pull your socks up! Your my local venue, you represent our city to rugby visitors. I live in the Murrayfield area and see you every day and I want to be proud to go to the stadium to watch our team, not having to stock up on hand sanitiser when you don't provide adequate facilities.

Yelp
The Murrayfield experience had put on a Winterball for the company I work for. This was a 20's themed speakeasy. They really managed to impress with the decorations, meal and the entertainment. On arrival we got 'password' and the venue was suitably lowly lighted. On arrival we were presented with a glass of bubbly in the foyer. I was pleased to see that many of my colleagues really made the effort to dress up in Great Gatsby garb! The dining room was beautifully dressed in soft blue and pink with a white feather centrepiece on every table. There was a dance floor and a swing band playing old favourites. I loved their rendition of 'King of the Swingers'. Service ran like clockwork. The meal was suitably prepared for amass catering - tomato soup, brisket of beef with neeps & tatties (and a courgette?), Crème brûlée and coffee after. The wine was plentiful. Dinner over and the Swing band gone, the entertainment was a disco and a casino. We had a bit of a dance and spend (money voucher) on the roulette and blackjack tables. The smoking area was located far away from the premises, but only the true addicted would brave the steps and little trek to it. Time flew by and before we knew it it was already midnight. Leaving the party and finding the trams not running we had to walk a bit before getting hold of a taxi. My tip is to order one at Murrayfield reception.

Yelp
Five stars for the atmosphere alone, with 67,500 standing for the international anthems, roaring on a solid Scottish defence or saluting an 80 yard solo try. It's not exactly 'fortress Murrayfield' at the moment, but the spirit is strong and the players respond to a rousing Flower of Scotland. Murrayfield is Scotland's biggest stadium, by quite a way. They used to pack in hundreds of thousands of standing fans, but everyone gets a comfy seat these days of course. For international matches (around five times a year) the periphery is packed with bars, live music, mascots, have-a-go attractions and whatever else the SRU and its sponsors can lay on. Not many stadia have that option, so a visit to the home of Scottish rugby is a special occasion. Back to that atmosphere: rousing anthems indeed, enough to bring a tear to the eye; screaming and roaring when the match enters its final few minutes; friendly rivalry between opposing supporters that starts in town and spills onto the streets after the game. ...but you still get folk who spend money on a ticket, then stand out on the concourse drinking a pint for half the match. I've never really understood that.
google avatar

Gibson A.

Yelp
Murrayfield Stadium was the site of the first proper match of any sport that I ever went to see. It was a rugby match between Scotland and the New Zealand Maori in 1998. Scotland got destroyed but, nevertheless, it was an amazing experience with a booming and charged atmosphere. Since then I've been back several times, especially during Six Nations matches, and I've enjoyed it every single time. It never takes too long to get through the ticket barrier and once inside the gate there are plenty of vans selling hot food and alcohol. Be warned, however, that the prices are just like festival ones and a pint costs about £3.80. Despite this, it's definitely worth it when you get sat down with a pint and a burger ad enjoy the match. The best seats are probably in the west stand as you don't get the sun in your eyes on sunny days or wet when it's raining. However, even those sat in the corners still get a good view, and Murrayfield Stadium is well worth a visit for the experience alone.
google avatar

Matthew L.

Yelp
This has got to be one of the best stadiums to watch rugby in! The seating in the stadium is close to the pitch, closer than compared to Hampden for example! On top of this catering at Murrayfield is brilliant! Beer tents galore, decent food for a stadium and whisky is available just in case! But what makes this stadium so special is it legendary atmosphere! Now the people of course contribute a lot but the way the stadium is designed allows the spectator to feel close to the game and allows the noise to be increased tenfold by the bowl that is created by the stadium! If you want to enjoy a great day out, then going to a six nations match here is ideal. The first time I ever went to see a game was when Scotland beat the English a few years ago, however when the Welsh or Irish come to town, the chanting does increase! Tickets are cheaper and much more reasonable compared to football games, additionally, the stadium also holds gigs! The best stadium in Scotland by a mile!
google avatar

Christian B.

Yelp
If only Murryfield were the national stadium, I would be a seriously happy Scotsman. Indeed, it is not. But the stadium is by far the best in our tiny nation. Watching a game here has an up-close-and-personal feel as you are right beside the play when it is happening. Something which Hampden cannot boast to have. I came here regularly when the Claymores were in existence and enjoyed many afternoons playing in exhibition games and enjoying the internationals after with my pals. Don't get through as much these days but do still love the site of the stadium when I get the train through to Edinburgh. It still gives me goose bumps when I see it, and I will always claim it to be the best stadium in Scotland.

Yelp
Murrayfield Rugby Stadium, Edinburgh. First time visit to this beautiful venue to watch a rugby test match, Scotland vs Pumas in which the Scots beat Argentina 41-31, a five try victory over an Argentinian side populated mainly with subs. All of this anecdotic...as the main star was the happy and friendly rugby atmosphere and the lovely stadium itself. Great pitch, good turf perfect lighting and very efficient stewards!!! Narrow entrance turnstiles made me re-think that my BMI really matters...2 more kilos and I'd get stuck... Will certainly go back!!!

Yelp
Very impressed with the stadium even if the game sucked big time (well done Wales). Very easy to get to and then to find your way around once inside. The sheer volume of people this places swallows up is amazing and the noise levels inside exactly what major sporting events need. Totally agree with other comments asking why this isn't our national stadium. Puts Mount Florida's effort into the shade. Watching the action is made easy by well planned seating and huge screens for close ups. The array of eateries and bars within the immediate surrounds means you can nip in and out with ease. Looking forward to a return.

Yelp
I have been to the stadium for an away game with the team I support Millwall and had a fantastic day. It is of a very modern design and completely all seating, there are also no obstructed views like you get at some grounds with huge pillars which come down from the roof to the floor of the stand like at White Hart Lane or Selhurst Park. Another nice feature of the ground is that the pitch is sunk down slightly, so it appears larger when you get inside giving it the wow factor! This is similar to many of the European stadiums.

Yelp
Murrayfield seats in excess of 65,000 and when it's a packed house and the Scottish Lion roars it's a fearsome place to be for those who would oppose her. I've been here for any number of Scotland international rugby matches and it's always a good show, be it gouts of flame as the team run out onto the field, the massed pipes and drums or a fly over courtesy of the RAF there is always something to wow the crowd. Like most stadiums it can be pricey for the big games, and the parking which is laid on in the training fields can be pricey as well, although not as pricey as a return ticket from Glasgow on the train. The nearest station is only a short walk away though so if you want to enjoy a beer while you're in watching the rugby then you can leave the car at home anyway.

Yelp
I recently went to a Rugby match at Murrayfield and found it to be a great stadium. In comparison to other sporting events I have been to else where I did not have to queue long, the staff were friendly and the food was all outside so it never clogged up the inside of the stadium. I was also quite impressed with the toilets, very clean which makes a nice change!

Yelp
Murrayfield is an excellent venue for the Edinburgh Gunners and Scottish national rugby team to play. The ground is easy to get to by bus and the layout is great as all seats get a good view of the action. Murrayfield has also been the venue for several concerts and gigs which have all bee successful. The stadium facilities (WC's, staff politeness) are of a high standard. Unfortunately, as with all stadiums the prices of food/drink inside is steep so eat before hand if you are watching the game/band on a budget. At the end of the match or gig it is great to be leaving the ground with the thousands of other sport or music fans all talking about the same occasion...you even make the traffic on the road stop! On the walk back there are several sports bars and pub so you can get a drink or food on the way back home if you wish. All in all Murrayfield is an excellent venue for sports and music events :)

Yelp
I was delighted when I left Cardiff to discover I would be living so near to Murrayfield and I love it. I have been to see the Gunners and Scotland Play hear "Flower of Scotland" here boys is only beaten by hearing the Welsh anthem in Cardiff but the I'm bias I have also been for the 7's tournement though at this you did wait forever to get a drink. Yes it is pricey to eat and drink there but what stadium isn't? The facilities are great and always well stocked. I find the staff helpful and polite. I have also been here for concerts and found the place to be brilliant.

Yelp
Murrayfield is a pretty good stadium. It's well equipped and maintained and events are always well staffed and managed. I've been to various concerts and matches there and the atmosphere is always amazing. I was recently at a Scotland V All Blacks Rugby match and my one criticism of the facilities provided was that despite their being copious food and drink vendors - you couldn't buy chocolate anywhere!

Yelp
Murrayfield is huge, it can hold approx 70,000 people, which is pretty amazing. I have never been to a rugby match here but I have been to a concert and I could hardly believe how many people I was in the middle of - what a truly awesome atmosphere. Each different stand is clearly labeled so that you can find the correct place to sit. There are food/drink facilities but they are quite costly, I would suggest taking your own if you can. Parking in the surrounding area, on the day of an event, is not great - take the bus if you can. I am lucky to live 5 mins from the stadium so do not have to worry to much about that - what a great atmosphere is the Murrayfield area when there is something brewing at the stadium!!

Yelp
An excellent sporting venue in Edinburgh and home to the Scottish rugby team. I have seen a couple of games here and it is a great place to watch any sport. trhe stadium is clean and the staff are friendly. They also have a great function suite with views out onto the pitch which is great for a wedding venue, beware though it can be quite expensive. The stadium is also on great bus routes so not hard to get to at all if you fancy a drink, the bus is better anyway as you will never get parked an doyu will sit in traffuc constantly if you do take your car, its better to walk amongst the atmosphere and then get the bus!

Yelp
An excellent stadium, world class. The first time i came here was for a Scotland v Wallaby game in 1997 and loved the atmosphere, the ground itself and ease of getting in and out...and the fact it's so close to the centre of town. Looks great from both inside and out. As a non-Scot I'm surprised its not the national stadium, but I guess its just politics man! Just a shame it's not utilised more often.

Yelp
The only down side to murrayfield is the quality of the access to certain bits of the ground. I often find myself dodging mud and water pools to get to the turnstyles

Yelp
Murrayfield is an amazing place to be! I've been to a couple of Rugby matches here, and if filled to capacity it'll take just under 70,000 supporters although that doesn't happen as often as I'd like! The atmosphere, especially against England, is absolutely electric, and the sound of Flower of Scotland bouncing around the stadium is incredible, I know I'm biased, but it really does raise hairs on the back of your neck! It also gives you some idea of how fantastic the sound is when it's set up for concerts - I saw Celine Dion here some years ago, and it was utterly incredible. The facilities here are great and everything is well laid out and signposted. Murrayfield is easily accessible by bus and is only around 15 minutes from the city centre.

Yelp
Surely the best stadium in the Edinburgh. Murrayfield is a place for the rugby matches for the Scotland team. The stadium can fit over 70000 supporters. The atmosphere during the match is amazing and it a must attend for every sport fan. Easy to get to by bus trasnsport and walking distance within city centre.

Yelp
been here once back in 2004!! I liked the idea of being able to drink at a sports venue. The game was Australlia V Scotland, and the seating is mixed usually so there is a good banter .. our view wasn`t bad for the ticket price. The merchandise marquee outside the ground was cool and its wasn`t money you use for drinks but tokens. Which you get by swapping with your money at another place. Come to think of it must be time to go again see if its changed much. Enjoy your day ;-)

Yelp
Murrayfield is a world famous stadium... Hearing the Scottish rugby side sing "Flower of Scotland" can bring a tear to grown men. The facilities are brilliant although food and drink can be expensive and lines are always a problem. Nevertheless it is an awsome stadium with a great atmosphere. The public transport around the stadium is efficient and cheap (compared to other UK cities). The anuall IRB Sevens Tournament at Murrayfield is a good laugh, worth going to.

Yelp
This is the home of Scottish Rugby, and sometimes concerts (not often though). It was also used for Hearts FC for some European Football. This is a fantastic stadium, which doesn't get used much. The suites in the stadium are also lovely and the hospitality is fantastic. It is just outside the city centre.

Yelp
The home of Scottish rugby is a fantastic stadium. it has been welll thought out, with ample toilets, bars and food outlets. The seating areas are easily accessed and not as cramped as some. It is a 15 minute walk from Haymarket train station,or 30 minutes from the city centre, this is the recommended mode of transport on match day! The food outlets serve your usual fayre, burgers, chips and hotdogs. Although, on my most recent visit, i did see a stand selling haggis! If you have'nt eaten this before, don't do it here! However, the atmosphere is unbeatable. Highly recommended

Yelp
The home of Scottish Rugby and the occasion concert (less now that it used to be). Murrayfield is situated close to the city centre and within walkiing distance. This is just as well as don't expect to park anywhere near. Parking is discouraged as increasingly is driving in Edinburgh. Many a local inn to help ease the pain of the defeat.

Yelp
Murrayfield Stadium is a great stadium and one of the best in Scotland. I have been going there for over 20 years. I have seen some great atmosphere's being generated there but I have to say that for 68,000 people to be packed in, the atmosphere can often be far too quiet. I think that has a lot to do with the crowd as many supporters only watch internationals and not as much club rugby which perhaps means they are less knowledgeable about the players. The stadium is always immaculate and is located only a 5 minute drive from the centre of Edinburgh.
