Scott’s Drive-In seriously took me back — in the best way. I’m a small-town Texas girl from Lampasas, and this place gave me all the nostalgic vibes of our local joint, Storm’s. From the crinkle-cut fries and juicy burger to the chili cheese fries that hit just right, everything was fresh and delicious. The inside feels like a time capsule — classic red booths, checkered floors, old photos and Route 66 memorabilia lining the walls. And the cherry on top? They played 80s rock the whole time we were there — it just fit. The guy at the counter was so sweet and welcoming, and the prices were super reasonable. Honestly, this place deserves way more business than it looked like it was getting. If you’re passing through or live nearby, stop in. Good food, great service, and that cozy, old-school energy that’s getting harder to find.

I’ve been meaning to try Scott’s Drive-In for a while now, and let me just say—it did NOT disappoint! The burger was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. I’m honestly mad I didn’t try this place sooner. It’s definitely a hidden gem and now one of my go-to spots. Highly recommend if you’re craving a good old-fashioned burger done right!

Courtney Northcutt

Google
The food was a solid one star. I would dare say the burgers were flavorless. Nothing special. I ordered steak fingers for my kiddos and they weren’t able to eat them because there was SO MUCH salt on them. We paid $60 just to wait 35 minutes for our food. I was excited to find a new favorite restaurant but this was not it. At least we tried it but we won’t be back.

Google
Love coming here and getting a burger, onion rings, and a limeade. Service is great, wait time is average (great for lunch hour), atmosphere is good, and the food will have you not wanting to move for a while because you ate so much it's so good. Perfect for sitting on a tailgate and chowing down with friends.

Google
Ordered a small vanilla shake at 5 pm. 4 cars in the lot. 19 minutes later, I sent my son in to check on the shake. They said they just started it. 521pm we had a slushy small vanilla shake. I'm always reminded why I dont come here. I mentioned the 20-minute wait, and the defeated looking man only replied "Ill get your change." This was a request from my mom, so I went.

Google
I used to go here when I was 10 years old my father all the time. 30 years later as a 40-year-old man, I was passing through town on business. I just had to stop by and see if it was still as good as it ever was. I’ve had a lot of burgers in Texas and this is my absolute favorite one. It did not disappoint. Thank you for staying true!

Being born and raised in Wichita Falls, this place is filled with history and good times. You simply can’t get food like this anywhere else. My all time favorite are the steak fingers with tons of gravy and fries and my dad always loved the Big Scotty. I am so thankful for the Scott family and particularly Mrs. Scott who was running the establishment back in the 2000s on. She ran a tight ship and I was greatly appreciative of that as you could always count on great service and consistency. This place was never fast which to me is simply by design as something good cooked from scratch isn’t going to be. That was a fact I accepted long ago and found calling in my order to be most convenient. Thank you and Bless you Mrs. Scott and your family for this wonderful place and all of its amazing history. I wish you could post more about it for people to see.

Many years ago I was a frequent guest of Scott’s Drive In. The only meal I have eaten is a Big Scottie. fries and a Cherry Limeade. After Mrs. Scott’s time I stopped in for my favorite meal. It just was not the same. Then, after many years I decided to give it a try once more on 4-10-25. My Big Scottie meal was absolutely fantastic!!!! It was just like my favorite burger of long ago!!! Many thanks for letting me enjoy my favorite burger of all time and sweet nostalgia at the same time!!! I shall spread the word and return!!!

Yelp
DO NOT, repeat, DO NOT , go to this place and waste your money, being an old established drive in not many left, I really thought I was in for a treat, an old fashioned burger. But no, instead I got robbed 6.00 for a plain ole burger, a touch of lettuce in the middle, three pickles on it and two tomatoes, lots of mustard on it. Tasteless and plain, for a sorry burger it was the price that got me, the whole menu was fairly expensive, want some good food at a lower price go to Any Any fast food joint and get a better deal I promise you

Yelp
Food was very average. Lots of better burgers in Wichita Falls. No ambiance but it is a drive-up. Service was OK, a little slow and they weren't that busy. Go to Ronnie's or Pat's or now Texas Flaming Grill!!

John W.

Yelp
Overall was pretty good being here several times. Today there was a long hair wrapped up with my burger. Dont know where it could have came from but it was there. Lost my appetite.

Richard R.

Yelp
Fantastic food and great service. I always love going there. The place makes me feel like a kid again.

Secret S.

Yelp
First off, the food is absolutely amazing. Some of the best burgers in town. However, my review is more concerned with something else as well as a question to the owner. Is tip share not a thing at Scott's? Or does the Cashier/Manager the only one who can accept and keep 100% of the tips customers give.

Yelp
Great burgers and friendly service all the hallmarks of this drive-in. There is seating inside too.

Yelp
Great little burger diner in the neighborhood! Love the old school drive in style, glad they preserved the retro ambiance. The burgers, tots and cherry limeade are my go to!

Yelp
The worst burger this would make a person think twice of being a meat eater in Texas. A group of six of us waited 55 minutes for this frozen burger patty to be transformed into a dried up hockey puck. No sense of urgency with the 3 guys working the grille. They filled 3 other orders placed after us. We came to conclusion we should have ordered separately it appears the issue was 5 burgers was overwhelming but orders of 2 burger's was easy to handle. Our friend who recommended the place ordered a burger and a hot dog. His order was last placed. Kyle likes just meat and cheese on burger. Guess what? They messed it up. 55 minute wait shove it down our throats in 5 minutes. Never again

Castro E.

Yelp
Good cheeseburger! Did fill me up! Chili Hot dog not so good! Prices are affordable! Try it out!

Alison C.

Yelp
Absolute worst service I have ever had, called ahead and it made no difference, they let me sit in my car and wait FOR A DRINK, never brought my order. If you can't make the drink just say so! You had 2 chances. Went straight to McDonald's. Scott's actually deserves zero stars.

Yelp
All the drive in food you can hope for. I am a chili dog fanatic so every new town/city I go to I must find a chili dog joint. And yes, it's messy but just dive in. It's worth it. He car hops are dressed appropriately...white button up shirt, with bow tie and paper hat. My husband got the cherry drink they are known for. It's good but be ready, it will get you in the squelcher. You can dine in as well. It's a small but nice festive area.

Yelp
What a fabulous find! We searched for a place close to the highway and struck gold. Felt like we had stepped back in time. Handmade food is worth the bit of a wait. NOT fast food!
google avatar

Koda M.

Yelp
We stopped in while passing through, it's an old feel drive up, order or go inside. We went in to stretch our legs. The guys at the counter were friendly and outgoing, we ordered 2 burgers, fries and one soda. Burgers were good and fries hot and crisp. I would recommend stopping by for quick bite.
google avatar

Taryn R.

Yelp
suuuper overrated. always so slow. I placed my order an hour in advance, went to pick it up + still had to wait 20 minutes. the food came out cold -- when I asked the employee if he had fries that weren't ice cold, he just stared at me as if I was speaking a different language. won't be going back.

Yelp
I grew up eating here and was in town for a brief time and decided to stop by. I had already eaten but wanted a chocolate malt for the road. It was just like I remembered it. Perfection!!

Wanda H.

Yelp
We ate lunch on 8/11/22. Had to wait close to 45 minutes for 1 large, 1 small hamburgers, 1 small order of onion rings, 1 coke and 1 water. I finally asked what happened to our order, got no answer but our number was called about 3 minutes later. We finally had our food but onion rings were cold and hamburgers were not hot either. I am still trying to figure out why we weren't given our food when it was hot! Infuriating to be treated like that!!

Justin M.

Yelp
Definitely the best burger i've had in a while. Recommend to anyone looking for good food unlike anywhere else. Would come again!! - Rider Baseball

Rachel S.

Yelp
Ordered our food and waited for 40 minutes. Rang and asked how long and they said it would still be longer. Waited 5 more minutes and left. We had pulled in next to someone who had already been sitting there and they still hadn't had their food brought to them when we left. Absolutely ridiculous to wait that long for a burger.

Hungry M.

Yelp
If you want a good ole' fashioned hamburger, go to Scott's right now. I try food for a living and I can tell you their burger is BETTER THAN WHATABURGER and I LOVE Whataburger. I can easily say Scott's burger just made my best burger in TX list. More to come!

Yelp
Everything was quick and good. Made old school and to order. Shakers to finish the meal and they were delicious! Like transcending time, fun place!

Yelp
Solid place for a greasy burger. Place looks very sketchy and run down. Order and eat in the comfort of your car. Was told by several people to try this place but maybe all the hype left me wanting more. It just wasn't that great. Place is essentially the equivalent of a place that's "let herself go." In her heyday, this place was poppin' but in recent years - it's not a place I want to stay in for longer than 5 minutes. Always got my food to go. Place could use serious renovations. My car hop appeared busy even though there were only 2 of us in the lot that day. I asked for recommendations and he said everything was pretty good. Took a swing and landed on steak fingers which were so greasy, they seeped through the bag. Not for the sensitive stomach.

Ethan S.

Yelp
This old-fashioned drive in is amazing! My personal favorite is the signature Big Scottie Burger, it never fails to satisfy my hunger! Also, the mini tacos are absolutely divine if a burger isn't quite your cup of tea. Overall an amazing place to dine if you are looking for something old-fashioned and classy, 10/10.

Natalie S.

Yelp
Truly a hidden gem! Food was delicious and fresh. Best milkshakes in all of Texas. Quick and kind service. HIGHLY recommend!!

Yelp
Went for the first time tonight. The staff wear retro little white hats and the service wasnt too long. Probably about 10 minutes for 2 burgers, fries and a coke float. Spent $17 on the above and a soda. The burger was great! I got a bacon cheeseburger, my hunny had the cowboy and loved it! The fries were good, they're thick crinkle fries in case you're wondering and come in one size which is about a medium in most places. We will definitely be going back!
google avatar

Shannon R.

Yelp
This is a Wichita Falls institution, one where the food never changes, but only in the best way possible. Come here if you prefer local flavor with few frills. You won't be sorry.
google avatar

Bryan M.

Yelp
Nothing to write home about. Burgers are better than Sonic, but that's not really saying much. Skip this and head over to Ronnie's.
google avatar

Yelp
After our long drive from OKC, we made a pit stop at Scott's before arriving to our final destination. The place was packed so we thought = yummy food. First impression? Nostalgic. I haven't ordered from too many drive-in's, but this place reminded me of a Sonic/Del Rancho. We arrived at noon and I think there was only one person running the place. Hmm. We ordered a burger, tots, coke and water. We waited. And waited. Read some of the Yelp reviews for this place. Waited some more. Patience is a virtue! It was 10 till our meeting so we buzzed the order keeper. The man on the other line said our order is the next one out the door. Total wait time = aprx 18 mins. It's a fast food joint? Or I guess I'm confusing drive-In with fast food. Eh, I don't know. The burger was ok and (sorry to say this people of Wichita Falls!) tasted like a burger from Sonic. The tots were cold, but crispy. The boo, a self proclaimed soda snob, took a sip and immediately tossed it out. We must have gone on an off day or something!

Yelp
We came here about a month ago and got great service and good food. tonight we got there about 7:30; they closed at 7:45, there were folks in line to order in front of us and when we stepped up to order the guy was rude and told us they were closed. we weren't planning on staying to eat, we're from out of town and just wanted to get another really good burger. if the guy behind the counter had been respectful and said they were closing up early, or had already turned off the grill or something we would have understood. A because we were treated rudely we won't be back to this establishment. only giving one star cause we have to.

Yelp
Had the small cheese burger, small onion rings and medium Coke. Way too much ice. 1/2 the cup filled with ice AFTER finishing drinking it. Cheeseburger was your typical burger and onion rings decent quantity. Several people picking up phone orders without leaving their cars-convenient!!

Texas R.

Yelp
Awesome food! Definitely top 5 joint. Love old school diners. Great food, great service!

Yelp
In Wichita Falls for a few days on business and in need of a casual lunch spot. Found Scott's Drive-In here on YELP and it sounded good. I had no idea how good. Remember your high school years of cruising through the local drive-in restaurant on Saturday night? If not, think back to "Happy Days" or "American Graffiti". Even on a Tuesday afternoon, I recognized the type place Scott's is. Great classic burgers, malts, cherry limeades just like my high school days back in the 60's. I had the Big Scotty, a double cheeseburger, 2 fresh juicy patties with 2 slices of cheese and fresh tomato and tomato, pickles, mustard and mayo. Shared a side of frozen but tasty fries with the wife, who got the barbeque sandwich. The first sip of my cherry limeade sent me straight back to Bill's Barbeque or Jones Dairy Bar of my youth. It was perfect! I had planned to have a chocolate malt for dessert but there was no room after that big burger and fries. We will be in WF a couple of more days and I do believe the folks at Scott's will be seeing us again. Scott's get a hearty recommendation from me. The only thing that kept them from 5 stars was the frozen fries. A place like this calls for fresh-cut fries. There is speaker ordering and curb service under a canopy out of the west Texas sun or inside seating as pictured. Plenty of parking under the canopies or out. Old fashioned drive-in food and a quick visit to the 60's.

Yelp
We eat burgers a lot all over the country. Big Scotty burgers are one of the best we have ever eaten. The owners have been great and if we are ever close we will take a detour on our travels to have one.
google avatar

John P.

Yelp
Burgers are about the quality of sonic and the tater tots were delicious and perfectly cooked. No rudeness and nice service. Nothing too special though
google avatar

Christi G.

Yelp
I give this place five stars for history alone. The food has always been terrific. I grew up going here from the time I could hold a milk shake, back when Mr. Scott was still alive. He ran a tight ship. I love the Big Scottie Burger, fries and a shake. Can't beat it for taste and nostalgia. The only better burger in town, in my opinion, is Gene's Tasty Burger. Try 'em both! you be the judge.
google avatar

Andrew B.

Yelp
Scott's Drive-In is a divey little joint that makes up for its lack of atmosphere with big and delicious classic burgers. The meat tastes very fresh and is very juicy. If you get a double, expect to leave feeling a little bit beyond satisfied. Terrible if you're eating healthy; heavenly if you relish in being bad. The only real downside is that their fries are lackluster, and a bit expensive for what you get. My advice: skip the sides and just upgrade that delicious burger to something even bigger!
google avatar

Andrey S.

Yelp
Good little burger dive. Order right from your car, or sit inside. I which there was some outdoor seating. But nextdoor there is a huge step up the parking lot to sit on.
google avatar

Ignacio R.

Yelp
Scott's is a unique place. Its like pulling into an old location where nothing has changed. It has a cool factor to it. The food is consistently good. The cherry lime aid is probably the best I've ever had. Also familiar faces and im sure they have tons of regular customers as well.

Steve M.

Yelp
Pushed the buzzer twice. No response. Went inside and stood at the counter for a couple of minutes while Tweedledee and Tweedledum put food on the grill, and walked around behind the counter. Finally I thought to myself "I can buy my lunch somewhere else" and I left.
google avatar

Deborah H.

Yelp
My husband and I went for the first time today for lunch. He had the Big Scotty and I had a hamburger; both were very delicious! I also ordered the famous Cherry Lime drink; again very good. The service was great and we didn't mind the wait because we knew they cook to order.
google avatar

Wendy R.

Yelp
Nothing better than pulling into this old school drive in. Food was great and the staff friendly. Go big or go home when you eat here!
google avatar

Mindy W.

Yelp
I'm really big on customer service, but I'm also big on grace. So if your customer service is lacking one day, I'll typically smile and ask you if you're having a good day in hopes that someone actually caring might improve your disposition. That said, when I walk in to nicely ask if our order button doesn't work at Scott's Burgers, and you answer that you haven't heard it beep after my husband has pushed both sides more than once for the past 5-7 minutes, I respond with okay we'll try again thank you. As I'm walking out to go order, your cook yells after me, "We're a little busy in here!" Only after giving you the benefit, your staff still being rude for absolutely no reason, and a sweet older couple in the parking lot ALSO saying no one would take their order, did I interrupt my husband's ordering to say, "We are not eating here. They are rude." Just because you've been in business for so long doesn't mean you get to slack on how you treat customers, or how treat people in general.

David F.

Yelp
Great burgers, great service, great atmosphere. If you're looking for an old fashioned drive-in, this is the place to go.

K L.

Yelp
I don't live in WF any longer, but when I travel through I always stop for their chili cheese dog!! Best in the world!! Service is friendly and respectable as well. Keep it up Scott's!

Dan W.

Yelp
They love being rude. Just go to Ronnie's where you won't get scolded for ordering there. Was a lifelong fan, not anymore. Hope they close

Yelp
execllent place to eat.great service ,food and atmospere.very nice people.one of my favorite places to eat.I can see why they have been in buisness as long as they have.I reccomend this place for anyone looking for a good old fashioned hamburger so all you out of towner dont waste your time and money at genes tasty burger.this place really beats genes tasty burger and should be the number 1 place for an old fashioned hamberger
