Scotty's Broasted Chicken

Very nice and clean place. The chicken is yummy and crispy! A little oily, but not too bad. Everyone who works there is very nice and helpful. The place is very cute and the tables are nice. They were super sweet and brought out a few happy face potatoes for my kid which she loved. The biscuits were so Delicious!!

Absolutely 💯 authentic yummy coming out of your grandma home made chicken!! Worth every single penny. Highly recommended. The staff are very friendly and their customer service is perfect.

Got roasted chicken the first time, disappointed they didn't make the mac salad and potaot salad homemade. The made 3 bean salad and coleslaw home made. Ordered steak fries, they were not crispy at all, chicken was crispy and moist and very flavorful Next time we ordered roasted ribs, which came with BBQ beans, they were not sweet which was awesome. Ribs were very tender and flavorful, wasn't thrilled about the sau e being on the ribs, would have liked in on the side, a.lot to sweet for me. Over all, great food

Tried this place for the first time. The reviews were mixed, but we were pleasantly surprised. The portions are big! You could actually share. We ordered the catfish, deep fried mushrooms and the riblet plate. The catfish was encrusted with cornmeal, hot and very fresh. The mushrooms were served with ranch and were very flavorful. The riblets were tender and served with fries and one side. Only complaint was the price was alittle high, and the fries and mushrooms weren’t served hot. I would still come back, as the service was excellent!

Great people, great atmosphere but this chicken is super greasy. There's been a few instances where I could tell the oil wasn't changed in days! I've worked restaraunts for years. Fresh oil the chicken is good but all in all for the price I'm going to Krispy Krunchy!

First time here and not at all impressed. Food is just ok. But definitely NOT worth the amount of money. All sauces are extra money. The servers don't appear to like their job at all. Took forever to get additional items. I will spend my money elsewhere like Boathouse or McKees for better quality and price.

The food here was amazing the whole family loved their meals and the fried pickles were amazing!!! Definitely going to be eating here the next time we return to havasu.

Can someone give me a BROASTYEAH??!?!!! This place has chicken that makes you want to travel 300+ miles to try. Looking for a family run chicken place in Lake a Havasu? Well look no further, this is it. From the crunch of the chicken, to the serving sizes, the customer service and the ambiance. This place does not settle for decent. They comply shatter any chicken place on the areas reputation and places themselves front and center. Yes I know I sound like I'm in love with their chicken...ITS BECAUSE I AM. Will 1000000% be back

I'm giving them 5 stars as I love supporting mom and pop locations. I do think that's there is other broasted chicken in town that'll give Scotties a run for the money. I also don't love the fact that their highly touted Mac n cheese looks very similar to Kraft's. Give em a try and see what you think!!

Very small inside. Old table and cloth booths. Takes long time for food to be done and is deff a bit pricey.

Cute country style place! I grew up in small towns back east and this restaurant is nostalgic! We've lived in Havasu for several years now but have never been here...so glad we stopped in! Hubby ordered their Broasted chicken plate and I ordered their fish and chips....we enjoyed our meals! My husband kept giving me bites of his items to try....such a sweet hubby! Everything was flavorful and cooked well! My only complaint and it's minor is that we didn't care for the styrofoam plates and drink cups plus plastic ware ....it's fine for To Go orders but not nice for in house dining. That's the only thing that cheapened our experience. We're still going to come back and try more menu items!

We ordered our Chicken to go and even after the 10 minute drive home, this was definitely one of the best chicken dinners I've had. Crispy yummy goodness. Staff was attentive and had our food ready for pick up when we arrived. It's a cozy little place, well done in next time!

Wish I could leave ZERO stars. Garbage dump! Food is dangerously undercooked, and when I brought to "manager's" attention, I was told to go to KFC. Rudest bunch ever!

Order at the Counter and they bring your food to you. Broasted Chicken was good. Restaurant a little run down but seems to be a locals favorite.

Yummy chicken & spuds. The strips are a must. There were 2 stuck together & didn't cook all the way through but they brought out fresh ones to make up for it. Refreshing lemonade. Service includes lots of smiles.

I've been enjoying Scotty's services for many years since living in Lake Havasu City, and they have yet to disappoint me! Being permanently back in Missouri and all, I am going to miss this place! ^__^ This review is for the experience my man and I got to have on November 2nd, a couple days before I had to return home. See, so I'm from a place where fried food is taken very seriously culturally! Scotty's has superb quality chicken, fish, and clams and the next opportunity I get to enjoy it I'll jump on with no hesitation! On top of it all, the wholesome and prideful people that make it feel like home just makes it ever more worth the wait! I'll be back Scotty's! Next time I'm in Havasu visiting loved ones, I'll be back for more!

I've been hearing about Scotty's for a couple of years now and we finally got around to dining there tonite. After a full day of boating on Lake Havasu, we drove to Scotty's for dinner. We got there about 5:30 and there was no wait to order. The wife had a 2 pc chix, spuds and coleslaw basket. I had a 3 pc chix, spuds, coleslaw dark meat basket, and our 3 friends ordered 3 pc variations. The chicken is broasted on demand, so it took about 15 min. for our food to arrive, piping hot. The server girls were attentive and sweet and there to take care of our needs. And did I mention that the chicken had the perfect crust and was moist and DELICIOUS? Well, it was! We each received an extra piece...perhaps it was bonus night, but I'm thinking it was just good business practice; give the customer more than he expects and win a new heart. We brought home lunch for tomorrow and a good reason to return. If you are in Lake Havasu City for lunch or dinner, stop in at Scotty's BTW, they have fried seafood entrees and ribs on the menu, but that's for another day!

So disappointed. Scotty's used to have the best chicken hands down. I would drive 2 hours from another city just to get it. However, they have obviously been cutting corners so badly. The last few times I've ordered Bites, the box was basically filled with crumbs and breading with a couple pieces of chicken thrown in. The few pieces of chicken I was lucky to receive weren't seasoned at all like they used to be and were incredibly salty. Really sad to see this place go downhill.

Food amazing! Service unbelievable!! Ladies are friendly, funny and sweet! Not been there? Better get goin' cause once you have it you are HOOKED! No going back to greasy fried crap from kfc or grocery store, or gas station!

I've always loved Broasted chicken and Scotty's didn't let me down. With perfectly prepared chicken and sides and a staff that was over the top accommodating, I left wanting to know when I'd be able to return ( I live close to 300 miles away). The decor was reminiscent of early themed specialty restaurants with lots of Chicken and pig figurine's. And yes the sell pork rub plates, that I would imagine are at the same quality as their chicken plates.

The food is amazing! The chicken is so crispy and juices, the mashed potatoes are buttery and the gravy is just right...oh and don't forget the fluffy fresh biscuits! The cons: the carpet is dirty, like always. The booth fabric is old and should be changed from fabric to vinyl for sanitation reasons. The staff is fun and friendly!

We were craving chicken after our drive in from Vegas & found this place. Service was good. We ordered a 4 piece, onion rings & a biscuit. 2 of our pieces of chicken were perfectly cooked - crunchy & juicy. The other 2 pieces were dried out and not edible. The biscuit was dry and hubby couldn't choke it down, even dripping in honey. The onion rings, however, were AMAZING! I would drive back out just for these bad boys! Perfectly crispy, onions stayed in place for each bite, and the ranch was delish! We would definitely give them another shot!

Always our go to for dinner when we are in Havasu, the broasted chicken is fire. We always get the 2 piece meals with coleslaw and broasted potatoes, with a side of Mac and cheese, the kids meals are good too. Pro tip, the left over chicken makes the best bait for fishing.

We love Scotty's broasted chicken! It is beyond comparison. We have a place locally here in Yucaipa, CA and they don't come close in taste to Scotty's. Deliciously tender and moist chicken every time. Did I mention Friday's all you can eat fish fry? Awesome as well! You can't go wrong ordering from Scotty's!

If it's country style food, you're looking for this is the place! They serve my favorite foods such as catfish, hush puppies, okra, coleslaw, as well as the best chicken in town! This is a quiet little restaurant right off the 95 highway. The staff let you feel right at home. I recommend you try Scotty's broasted chicken‼

5 star shrimp dinner, we order fried shrimp often here in town. Scotty's shrimp are tops! Large, cooked up perfectly. The chicken isn't too shabby either, lol. I'm not a huge fan of broasted chicken, usually not seasoned well enough for me......Scotty's broasted chicken nails it!! Tender, juicy, seasoned right! I also understand he kept ALL of his employees during the pandemic. My brother and lots of others looove the BBQ ribs here. For me they are average.

I have been going to Scotty's for the last 20+ years. Out of all of those years I've only had one problem and that was they took the fried pickles away. I've never had a bad experience going there with my parents and as a adult. Now I am taking my children there. It's a great place with great food.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. They are selling heated up frozen chicken strips you find in a frozen food section of Walmart. They literally sold me Kraft Mac n Cheese, the bbq sauce tasted like mud water, and I don't even want to know what the coleslaw was. My biscuits were still frozen in the center. Wow.

The best chicken ever! They're short staffed, but still kicking ass with the service. If they don't answer the phone; that's why. Get in the car and head down. Have a beer while you wait for your order. Enjoy the sunset!

Was recommended by family but found the food greasy and salty. Sides were second rate a best. Service was great and on time l, just not my style.

Ordered the 12 chicken pieces only.. crispy and juicy! Omg. So good. The baked beans were sweet and mediocre. They are busy so don't be surprised if the phone is busy.

Located almost 2 miles from the London Bridge is an unassuming restaurant with heavenly broasted chicken. My mouth is even watering just thinking about it. I ordered the Scotty's special with brisket, ribs and chicken, a little bit of everything. Then ordered more chicken, and fish and chips. I enjoyed the food! The restaurant itself is very homey and the staff are really nice.

Got chicken to go. Very tasty. Better than the other guy. Their was a lot of seating inside and out. Hmmmm I think I need some for tonight!

Great broasted Chicken, been going there for 30 years. My arteries are clogged up but who the hell gives a crap. Cole slaw is good too.

My husband raved about the chicken fingers and he was right, they were crispy and juicy. The portions are large.

We have been visiting and enjoying Scotty's in Havasu for years. Our children and extended family's first place to visit when in town. We always have the family chicken meal with plenty of left overs to be fought over. The friendly faces and service have kept us coming for years and the broasted chicken and fries can't be beat.

I had to try this broasted chicken place myself based on the high reviews. I found the staff nice and pleasant. The diner room clean and well decorated. The broasted chicken was breaded lighty and crispy on the outside and the meat tender inside. It did not taste like there was any spices or salt at all, which is perfect for anyone that is diabetic or have a their BP high but unfortunately was not of my taste.

Favorite chicken place ever!! And that's saying a lot because I'm a chicken finger girl, gotten them my whole life, and these are my absolute favorite. Miss having this place close, but have to stop in any time I come visit my home town. If you like chicken fingers like me, you have to try them here. All their food is great

I gave the restaurant only one star because: My husband and I called an order in and went in to get it. We payed 41.00 for a four piece chicken, five piece shrimp and zucchini fries. First we were surprised by the price, second we were shocked when we opened the boxes at home, Everything was way over cooked. And tasted bitter. I feel the person who cooked our high priced meal should have started over and done it right. But no! They put it in a bag and served it to us I will not patronize them again. Shame in them!

Food was incredibly hot and fresh. Great friendly service. However the food was nothing special. Not bad or terrible. Just not proprietary.

We've eaten here for many years and have a home at Lake Havasu. The first time many years ago that we ever tasted broasted chicken was here. We'd never had anything like it very lightly breaded and briasted. The skin was so crispy yet with barley any breading. We ate this when we were low carbing. NO MORE! Now, it is completely different and has a heavy thick Italian tasting over salted breading with on it , and so do the mushrooms, zucchini, and potato wedges. The oil it was fried it in was rancid and tasted like when you fried bunches of chicken in old oil. It all was horrible. We bought a big batch of it for our family who was visiting and ending up throwing away over half of it. I haven't been to Scott's in a long while. Maybe they now have new owners. They realky suck, eat somewhere else. It's a shame we really used to love this place, and their mushrooms were out of this world. My daughter and grown grandchildren agreed it was horrible. I am surprised no one else noticed this.

I have always wanted to try Scottys. I have seen it for years when I work in Havasu. The chicken was good. Crunchy and juicy but not greasy. Ribs were ok, not great. They tasted boiled to me covered in sauce. Cole slaw and fries were great. I came a half hour before closing and they were already buttoned up, in a hurry to get out of there. The real reason why I'm posting? I was extremely disappointed that the guy preparing my food was not wearing a mask. A couple of the girls had them around their neck but but weren't wearing them on their face. I don't care what you believe. If you prepare food, wear a mask. Because of this, I will never eat at Scottys again.

Haven't been to Scotty's in many years and decided to call in a lunch order the other day. We ordered the mini chicken (8 piece) meal and a side of the mushrooms. Our order was ready within 15 minutes. The chicken was crispy on the outside and super moist on the inside. Coleslaw, biscuits and wedges that came with the meal were yummy. The batter for the mushrooms was also delicious. We were so happy to find the food was as good as we remembered and will definitely be back soon.

Some of the chicken was so dry it literally was unedible. The wings and legs we just ok. The fish was....well, this fish looked and tasted like fish you'd get in a tv dinner. Every piece of fish looked identical, shaped the same, wierd. It surprises me a restaurant would serve this low quality fish. The potatoes weren't bad, BUT, 1 spud, quartered, broasted, $5.99. We had to heat them up, but they passed. The coleslaw, equal to the coleslaw you'd get out of the deli case at Safeway. I shared our experience with a friend of mine, she said that's exactly what they experienced at Scotty's once before. They've never gone back. Neither will we. Oh, I nearly forgot, Scotty's chicken is not inexpencive. NOT AT ALL, Hey, it's just chichen and frozen fish. 1 more thing, I inquired about their burritos, I was told, they're frozen, we throw them into the deep fryer until cooked.

Went for lunch today expecting awesome, tender, delicious chicken...well, this wasn't even close to my previous experience a year ago. The chicken breast was rubbery and flavorless. Are they using frozen chicken now? The potatoes wedges were undercooked with consistency of mashed potatoes and flavorless. Not sure what is going in here, but it ain't good.

Chicken and rib joint that looks like a standard country diner. Parking: very easy to find. Greeting was immediate, although during the order taking wasn't the brightest smile in the world. Service: once ordered and sat, she was on top of refills and making sure everything was okay. She did good there. Food: chicken is pretty good. The ribs are so-so. The corn balls were really good. The sides were just "okay". Pricing: average. Overall: I would come back if someone else was craving it, but not on my own.

Food is decent, it has changed from what it once was, process is still slow, but my pet peeve is they always have the phone off the hook,, why? if you cannot handle the business close the doors and catch up..

We always love this place! If you want fresh and delicious broasted chicken, this is the place to go! Don't forget to ask for butter and honey for the biscuits if you order to go!

Great local broasted chicken and BBQ shack. Nothing fancy, but brassy counter service and good food cooked to order. I had the chicken basket with mashers and gravy. Hot crispy and moist, I enjoyed every bite. BBQ on other tables looked good too. Pro tip: call in your order if you're in a hurry, chicken is cooked to order and takes 15 minutes. .

This place has good food. My review is on my opinion. I think the staff here need to wear face mask. Servers and cooks. If you want to stay open, protect yourself and customers. Thank you.

The chicken is moist and crispy and so are the fries. The biscuits are soft and delicious. We had plenty of leftovers and it was a cool little spot. Customer service is friendly and it had a small town feel. They have many options for a group of people and it is affordable. To feed 4 adults with drinks, it was about 50 bucks.

As a longtime Kansas City resident, I have to say the riblets and sauce seemed average. Did not look smoked at all, but for $10, the riblet lunch with fries, brisket and slaw was a great deal. Nice outdoor patio as well. Might just stick with chicken next time.

This place is blah, old and dirty. The broasted chicken is ok and the ribs are not that big especially for what they charge. They were slathered in gunk sauce. I heard about the horrible rude customer service rushing to close the door in your face before which does not sound good. I hate businesses that treat customers like that and don't appreciate them. No, I don't recommend Scotty's. They seem like down home greedy business folks. BTW, they were not wearing face masks.

Love this place. Whenever I am in Lake Havasu I try to make sure I stop in for chicken and Broasted Potatoes yum

They've gotten a little better since my last review, though I still only get the chicken, and maybe the potatoes wedges...
