Scout's Doughnuts Greenville

My husband and i were excited to try this little donut place since the pics on Google do look amazing. However, the vanilla crème donut that my husband got was supposed to have butter crème icing but it was more whipped and not sweet and the overall flavor of that donut was more on the salty side than sweet! The girl at the counter highly recommended the lemon blueberry one for me and i’m glad she did because it was good. I was just upset that my husband wasn’t satisfied with his donut. We told her behind the counter that we didn’t like the vanilla cream and it wasn’t very sweet for us. She did not offer to replace it with another donut to make us happy with our visit. We also bought 2 coffees and we loved the presentation of my mocha. Four donuts, 2 each for both of us and the 2 coffees was $32. We love trying different doughnut places every weekend. or a new place to have a sweet treat every weekend. But as much as i wanted to like it here, we won’t be coming back to this place. Instead, we WILL return to Parlor donuts, on Laurens Road in Greenville , which also has croissant batter donuts , and they’re gourmet donuts, bigger, less pricey, and VERY sweet!!!

This place is awesome. The croissant‑style donuts are crazy good—flaky, buttery, and just super satisfying. Every flavor hits, and the whole vibe is relaxed and welcoming. Definitely a spot you’ll want to swing by again.

Edited to add more photos and to share about our latest experience where we went for donuts in the afternoon, it was slow after the morning rush and staff let our kids step into the kitchen area (a few steps into the entrance) to see where the donuts are made. The wholesome, friendly and kind vibes here just keep us coming for more. Thanks! —— Excellent donuts and overall experience here for our family of 4 with two young boys. We’ve come here twice now and each time was great- this will be a regularly visited by us donut shop. The donuts are airy, layered and light textured. They resemble croissant texture and are covered with decadent and richly flavored frosting and sometimes filled with cream. All components are excellent and the flavors are fun and unique. Note these are not your average donuts-these are gourmet, craft donuts and so the price per donut reflects that but I find it’s reasonable. The coffee is excellent and they serve craft coffee beverages as well. The atmosphere here is wonderful. A donut shop I actually want to sit down and enjoy. Staff is welcoming, the place is clean, spacious and bright. They have a kid friendly corner with some kids books and tables. We have been looking for truly unique, craft donuts and this place is it! We are excited to keep coming back and tasting new flavors as they rotate them regularly. ————————— The parking lot is small but there is street parking near by.

Fun atmosphere and off the beaten path, in the historic Overbrook Neighborhood. If you’re looking for a little local flavor and a fun place to take your kids for breakfast or a treat , this is it! With lots of creative flavors and the donuts are not as heavy as they look- they’re delicious. Took the middle school girls after a sleepover And they absolutely loved it!

We used Scouts to cater donuts for a fundraiser, and it was such a hit! The mini size was perfect for the 200 person event and everyone was so excited to get to choose an exciting flavor from the variety that we served. Wonderful folks to work with to make an fundraising night feel extra special!!

Cute bakery specializing in donuts(that are like croissants) with a variety of flavors to choose from. Stopped in as I was running errands so I didn’t get a chance to eat my donut right away(vanilla buttercream), but when I finally did it was delicious and flavorful. Would definitely recommend.

This is by far one of my favorite places to go to, not only are the doughnuts amazing but the staff is equally amazing. Whenever I'm in Greenville this is my go to for delicious doughnuts and great conversation. If you're ever passing through Greenville, SC, please don't hesitate, GO YOU WON'T REGRET IT!!!

The shop is very cute and has a nice atmosphere. They only serve cronuts, but they had already run out of several of the advertised flavors. The one I tried didn’t seem very fresh, and it definitely wasn’t worth the price. Overall, the place is charming, but the experience was a bit of a disappointment.

A MUST EAT! I consider myself a big donut fan and this was the best donut I've ever had in my life! We were in town for Artisphere and saw the pink neon sign. I'm so glad we stopped! The guy working the counter was so kind and described the flavors and texture. I immediately ordered the seasonal guava and the mango with tajin. I was blown away at the flavors, consistency of the croissant layers, and fun sweet sour balance. You know a food is gonna leave a mark on your soul when you have to close your eyes to take every bite. Do not miss this place!!!

We went at like 1am right after the bar, they only have 2 or 3 flavors remaining but they were delicious! The cashier was so nice. The shop was super cute, you walk right up and order at the window. We got two pumpkin, and then a vanilla. I really liked the pumpkin but the vanilla was good too. Definitely recommend.

I wanted see what the hype was all about This place has a great reputation. The employees were friendly. The donuts are very good. No complaints!

Can't speak to the restaurant but holy shoes I just tried one of their donuts and my goodness it's fantastic. Fluffy, yet firm texture, big donut with wonderful glaze and sugar on the outside. It's absolutely insane. It has a tangy yet sweet taste that perfectly rounds out the experience. I need to go try them out again.

Donuts are my favorite and go with every holiday! These Valentine's Day flavors were exceptionally delicious! My favorite was Raspberry Rosemary! The service was great, I ordered a week in advance and they were ready at pick up.

Stumbled upon the walk up location as we were downtown Greenville. The ambiance alone captured my attention. Customer service was great as well. I choose the salted dark chocolate and......Hands down best doughnut I've ever had in my LIFE! Tried going back Sunday as we headed out of town but they were closed. Next time I will get a 6 pack! So in love!

Deliciousness!!! The vanilla bourbon was out of this world! The fig goat cheese was also very tasty! Can't wait to come back!

The newly renovated Scouts location is so awesome! It's spacious and bright and welcoming, and they even have a fun kid friendly area with smaller tables and books in the back of the store. Big fan of the new spot!!

I came here early one morning to get a few doughnuts. Please note this was before they expanded their space. Cronuts were HUGE and very pretty. My two kids couldn't even finish one cronut. Flaky and crispy with chewiness at the same time. Call ahead to make sure they aren't sold out!

Only gave them a two star rating because the staff was so friendly. Young lady that waited on me was super accommodating. Honestly, this was the worst donut I've ever had in my life. It wasn't like a doughnut, it wasn't like a piece of bread or cake. It was just nasty with some sort of syrup squirted on top. Highly disappointed. Seven dollars with a small tip For one donut. I could see why though they had five employees standing around... Got to be expensive to pay that many people to be awake as I was only one of three customers at 8 AM. Honestly, this was so bad. I spit it out!

These are literally the best donuts ever. They are raised thick but light/flaky like a croissant. They have so many different flavors to choose; it's a good range of the classic flavors like fresh strawberry or coffee to a few different flavors like goat cheese fig or peach basil. One donut is extremely filling, they are huge! Staff were all working quickly to get orders out but I definitely recommend getting there early or doing a preorder as they sell out quickly! The shop is super cute inside with its pink & floral vibe!

If you like croissant style doughnuts this is your jam. This place is super bright and clean vibes. You're greeted with a smile. Everything looks so welcoming. I love that they were playing good music . They're very helpful. They have many flavots too. Oh and coffe ask questions Yes they love it. If you're in the Greenville area, come check them out!!

Unbelievably good... donuts? These are obviously not traditional donuts and if you go there for that you might never go back to the original style. We had Boston cream and apple cider. Both donuts had the perfect amount of flavor, toppings and texture. The croissant like interior is both flaky and dense. Every bite was delicious. I'd also add that beyond being a unique take on a donut, the chocolate frosting and cream filling on the Boston creme was the best I have ever had. Great work, scouts.

A fun little treat. The flavors we tried are very good. The cinnamon sugar and the pumpkin cheesecake were our favorites. Everyone was super friendly and the store was really cute.

These doughnuts are killer, had some at an event and the cronuts were amazing, super flaky and fun icing flavors that all were amazing as the presentation. Can't wait to stop by the actual store before we leave town!

I've been here 3x. My favorite donut/cronuts by far have been the carrot cake donut and the cinnamon sugar donut. The honey Lavender flavor a little overwhelming for me. But this was simply a preference on my part. The Samoa (chocolate, coconut) donut was purchased for someone else and they LOVED IT. The topping/glaze on the peach basil, was a little too sugary for me. The coffee cream was delicious. The berries and cream was ok. I felt like the berry compote inside of the layered donut took away from the texture. I highly enjoy every experience at this place. The employees have always been extremely nice. The new interior, with seats and space is fantastic.

Is it a croissant or a doughnut? You don't really know until you realize it's actually BOTH. Super unique and different to either common dessert. You get the super warm, sweet, frosting enticement of a doughnut. But then you also get the buttery, flaky, light consistency of a croissant. Not sure how they do it but I LOVE sugar and dessert....and could only eat one it was so rich and delicious. Cost was worth every calorie. I'll be following their Instagram closely to see where they pop up next as they don't have a set location. Oh and I should mention it is ma and pa owned. Very small business, cottage baking at this point but you would NEVER know it as each "cronut" looks perfect and would make even a French pastry chef proud.

Yes, it's pricier then most donuts. However, it's a unique experience that everybody should try. Great service, cool owner, and even better food!

Don't bother going to Scouts after 9:30 am, they will be sold out. You either get there early and stand in line for 20 minutes in the rain, or you go in when the line is gone to find out that they didn't make enough donuts to support the demand. I will just wait for Parlor donuts to open on Lauren's Rd and hope they've thought out their business model a bit better...

Incredible cronuts. I've had some in NYC that were alright, but these blew me away. They've got some staple flavors like strawberry alongside seasonal ones - I got the chai buttercream. The doughnuts are tall, covered with a light dusting of sugar, and extremely light and flaky. The cream on the chai doughnut was rich, aromatic, but they didn't put too much on. The doughnut also had the perfect amount of sweetness. Definitely going to come here again, especially since they're opening a breakfast sandwich expansion next year. Wish I had a photo to show, but I was too fixated on the doughnut.

$5 a donut? Are they serious? Tried two...was not impressed. While the vanilla icing was good, the doughnut was tough. Not a cake doughnut, and not a yeast one either. Save your money and skip these.

Easily the best donuts in SC. Remind me of donuts I bought daily in SoCal, but at $6 apiece to pricy for me..we'll maybe special occasions! 5 stars

I went to Scouts this morning about 7:40 and, after the initial "where is the store?", (the business on the brick was Pizza, but has not been updated; the glass in the storefront was Scouts) I was not disappointed. I was 4th in line and got my 6 assorted donuts pretty quickly. I took them home and my wife and I were "WOWed!" Absolutely worth the trip. We'll be back!

Their donuts seemed really yummy and delicious so I was super excited when I heard they came out with gluten-free donuts! Unfortunately, they were not the best tasting donuts. It tasted like really hard bread with icing over it. Plus they were around $5 each. Very disappointed.

Kind staff, wonderfully caring owners, and FABULOUS unique croissant style donut. Mostly all of their products are made from scratch and taste amazing. Donuts are my go-to dessert and these didn't disappoint!

My name is Pat Hardin and I love these doughnuts! My favorite is the chocolate iced ! When I arrived this morning (Saturday) there were about 9 people waiting in line to get in. How amazing that must be for the owners! Best doughnuts I've ever had! Local couple that works hard and provides yummy doughnuts not like any others! Worth every penny

Delicious! Tried a bunch of their donuts at the Sum Bar opening recently and was so pleasantly surprised. They weren't too sweet thankfully and yet so satisfying. Definitely worth a try. I looked at their website but it seems that you prob need to check their instagram for more definitive locations and tastings.

The owner of this restaurant is a really cool guy name Ryland, and he puts a lot of love and creativity into his product and it is amazing! This is a absolute must try place to eat for foodies and especially those who love donuts. Well pricey, they are absolutely worth it and a unique and delicious experience that should not be missed.
