"Stop in for Screwball’s trivia nights on Tuesdays or 50-cent wing specials on Mondays. The sports-themed menu features Italian-American classics like melty meatball grinders and juicy roast pork sandwiches. The walls plastered with relics of Philadelphia legends like Brian Dawkins and Eric LeClair evoke memories for local fans." - Sam Herring

We have been here several times and the food is amazing! The service is always phenomenal! Today, I placed an order for just soup for my kids grandmother who is in a rehab close by with less than satisfactory food. JOY helped me and was very kind, caring, friendly and efficient!!!!! I ended up ordering more soup that was mostly broth for grandma to have later. Joy also made fresh coffee her her. In this world today, pure kindness is rare and when I’m touched by it, I like to have it known. Thank you, JOY! You were a pleasure and JOY to meet and talk to today. Your generous heart is greatly appreciated! Our Grammy Gloria was so happy with her soup and she sipped it right up! Bless your heart! ❤️

Google
Usual Pub atmosphere, not a crowd at 4pm. Just stopped in for some apps for Our first visit. French Onion Soup was perfect! Not overly salty and crispy mozzarella. Perfect. Perogies were good, fried onions added a nice touch. Mild wings ordered and were decent, not the best I ever had but good enough, meaty and tasty. Definitely would go again for other menu items to try!

Google
Burger was great, drinks were not watered down and the prices were reasonable. Two dinners, two mixed drinks, and two beers and the bill was under $60 including tax. I wouldn’t have minded if the bartender’s hand had been a little less steady when she was adding the booze to the drinks, but it’s not like she tried to get away with just waving the bottle at the glass or anything. She was fair with the pour. The server was prompt and friendly, the drinks and food came out in good time. The only thing I could have done without was the live music, but I know I’m an anomaly that way. (Live music isn’t really my jam [pun intended].) The bands were good and it’s not like they were so loud we couldn’t have a conversation or anything. I wouldn’t totally go back to this place. My burger was on point.

Eleni

Google
I’m impressed. It’s way nicer than I thought—maybe I read too many negative reviews. It’s everything you may want from a local sports bar. Food and drinks are reasonably priced. I played safe and got wings while my husband had a burger—both tasted decent. Our server is awesome: Super friendly guy who really made us feel welcomed. I saw him spray and wipe the laminated menus—great hygiene practice. We will definitely go back soon.

Google
Has the potential to be an amazing sports bar. I ordered 20 wings, 10 extra hot and 10 hot garlic sesame. I was given another flavor instead of extra hot, but I don’t care because they were phenomenal. Wings cooked and sauced PERFECTLY. The bleu cheese is standard. I wish they’d make their own, because I just know it would be good. They had live music that was way too loud, which is not my thing. If it’s yours, you’ll love it. After this review, I intend on being a regular

Google
Go!! Excellent food. Great dirty martinis. Nice crowd. The cheesesteak, burger and tater tots are the best around. Our favorite bartender is Joy. She is attentive, friendly and professional. Always a “joyous” time with her on Sundays.

Shane Amos

Google
This place is awesome! I travel for work and am so glad I came here instead of a chain restaurant. If you're in town on Tuesday night you have to visit! The wings were some of the best I've ever had. Met cool people, had great conversations. The price was good. Service was even better. A must visit!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Screwballs is hands down the best dive bar in the area! The bartenders are always friendly and on point, the food is way better than you’d expect, and the drinks are strong and everything is affordable. Great vibe, great people, and always a good time. Can’t recommend it enough!

Amber S.

Yelp
My fiancé and I have been coming to Screwballs for 4 years now. It is one of the few bars in the area that consistently have live music, Friday-Sunday. I highly recommend following Screwballs on Facebook as they have monthly calendars of events and of their live acts. The establishment is always clean and well maintained. Additionally, the staff and regular patrons are always friendly. I have never not been greeted by someone upon arrival. The food and drinks are reasonably priced and they have maintained this even through the pandemic which is rare to come by. They have weekly food and drink specials, with the cheesesteak special being my fiancés favorite! My regular order is a side Cesar salad and one of their wrap sandwiches that you can get either with fries or a salad. A nice surprise is their homemade side of baked beans that you get with any sandwich order. They are delicious!! Overall, this is hands down my favorite local bar in all of the King of Prussia/Norristown area

Eleni J.

Yelp
It's packed tonight (Friday night), but I love it. There are a lot of pretentious restaurants and bars, but Screwballs is not one of them--to me, this is their main appeal. It's just such a classic neighborhood sports bar. The food here is very decent (flavor, portion and price). And they have $2.75 PBR!

Kimberly H.

Yelp
Consistency is key, and o come her several times over a span of at least 20 years and have never once been disappointed. The wings are always done to perfection and aren't soggy like most places in Montgomery county. The nachos are top notch, the cheesesteak egg rolls are filled with juicy and seasoned meat and the perfect amount of cheese and friend golden. The pretzel is amazing, the drinks are amazing, the place is clean and a great spot to unwind. The best part is the prices are UNMATCHED UNBEATABLE.

Jeff F.

Yelp
Large portions, take home! A little noisy, great trivia nights! Definitely a repeat place a few times a month .

Tabitha H.

Yelp
Walked in to the bar and surprisingly there were a few seats open. It is a game night for the Phillies so to say there is a lively crowd is an understatement. The are slightly understaffed for the amount of people. I heard the waitress say somebody called out. I ordered the er are Penn steak with tots and a French onion soup. My sandwich came out first apparently they forgot to input the soup. The sandwich was good albeit different. It wasn't as moist as Philly's I have had in the past. I think I would have been better off without the feta ( I typically like feta). The soups came out piping hot with a nice layer of cheese on top. It took me awhile to eat it as it was so hot. The flavor was really good when I had a bite of onion but I'd it was just broth is was lacking something. Overall, I am happy with the choice. I think the crowd is making it most memorable.

Kathryn L.

Yelp
Friendly and attentive staff, great food that isn't overpriced, really fun atmosphere!

Kathryn F.

Yelp
On a 3 day trip ... by far the cleanest bathrooms we encountered. Also, the first active cigarette machine I have seen in years. We wanted to compare Reading Market cheesesteaks. We all agreed the Eagles cheesesteaks were better. The meat was sliced, not minced. I don't understand why you would ruin a great sandwich with Cheese Wiz. The fries were served hot and crispy. The Buffalo tenders as an appetizer were sinus cleansing for the table - even if not partaking. Nice big paved parking lot. Lots of sports of sports memorabilia from a variety of teams.

frank D.

Yelp
Place is a lot of fun. We went to see a band. Good bar food, hard working staff Definitely recommend for a bard atmosphere

Kristin C.

Yelp
Came here last night to see a live band. South Jersey local band Poor Mouth Henry came up to King of Prussia for their debut at Screwballs. I was really impressed with the layout of this place. I thought the stage with the mirrors was a really nice added touch. All the servers here were so nice and accommodating. It had that small town bar feel, which I really love. The food and drink selection was very good. I had a side order of tater tots with cheese and was satisfied. My friend ordered a cheesesteak and he was happy. The patrons here claim all the food is good. I certainly had no complaints. Was also pleased with how clean the bathrooms were since that is something I usually don't expect when going to a sports bar. Thank you for hosting Poor Mouth Henry last night. I hope you all enjoyed them as much as we do!

Mike P.

Yelp
I've been to Screwballs a few times and today we stopped there after a morning baseball game at Heuser Park which is nearby. It's a great local Sports Bar with plenty of memorabilia and large TVs. We had a group of six and even though the 1:00 PM NFL games had started we were able to find plenty of space in a side room. The Eagles playing later probably helped. The food is good, especially the wings, and the portions are plentiful. Service was adequate but definitely not overly attentive or on point. She did get our game onto one of the TVs in the room we were in so points on that effort. Drink refills were like pulling teeth and overall speed was lacking. We got large pretzels, hot wings, fried pickles, cheesesteak nachos and mozzarella sticks. All the apps were really tasty. I got a burger which was pretty basic but it was on special for $6.95 which was a great deal. I'll be back for sure and I'd recommend for watching sports and pub food lunches. If you're looking for fine dining you probably wouldn't go here anyways

Mark D.

Yelp
Old school neighborhood sports bar. Regulars really into Phillies game and prices almost like yesterday too. Where else can you get an ice cold beer during the game for $3.25. Pork sandwich is awesome and I think rivals Dinic's in Philly. Tasty. Enjoy.

Joe R.

Yelp
Excellent food very reasonably priced and very quick service Great appetizers and very large portions

John H.

Yelp
Great little neighborhood sports bar, great menu and food at reasonable prices. Oks like specials daily was there Tuesday 10 wings for $5 Full bar good prices! Definitely recommend!

Ed V.

Yelp
We had the best experience last week at Screwballs. My wife said she wanted to recruit our waitress for her own business. Lolz. We split the Cheesesteak, tots, wings and cheeseburger. Food was served hot and very good, however we must say our waitress Joy was the best part. Even though it was busy, we had excellent service with a great personality. We even got candy at the end of our meal! Will be back to eat and visit our Joyful waitress again!

Dennis H.

Yelp
Delicious food. Really fast service, even on a busy Friday night. Good live music, too

James P.

Yelp
Different Cheesesteak #903. Special Guest Eater Vic Cusumano, KP class of '84. Fun neighborhood sports bar. Lots of sports memorabilia. $2.50 PBR & High Lifes. The cheesesteak was good. It Came with Chips, baked beans and pickles. All for $8.20. I can see going to watch a game and after a few reasonably priced drinks getting a cheesesteak and loving it!

Stephani F.

Yelp
Best bar around. The bartenders are amazing too! Screwballs is a King of Prussia staple and has the best cheesesteaks and sandwiches.

Lou W.

Yelp
Went there for wing night and thought the wings were very skimpy...what's happening to Screwballs?

Chas F.

Yelp
The cheesesteak with shaved ribeye, sharp cheese, and a seeded roll make this sandwich just phenomenal!

Theresa D.

Yelp
Do NOT go here if you are in a hurry. we attend trivia every Tuesday, which we love, but we arrived at 6:40 for 7:00 trivia after being told multiple times the waitress was coming she finally came over at 7:45. at that point we had gone next door and got food there while other people at our table had to go to the bar for their pitcher refill. absolute disgrace! most trivia teams make reservations so Screwballs knows there will be a crowd but does not staff accordingly.

Gina C.

Yelp
Bring in better bands. I was there for a birthday party and the band was terrible!! The food was good.

Casey S.

Yelp
Love the Tuesday night trivia! For snacks, try the cheesesteak nachos or the pork sliders. Have only had beer so can't speak to the mixed drinks. The staff is always friendly.

Angela G.

Yelp
The wings are the best. Cheesesteak wonderful cold beer great atmosphere perfect sports bar

Tara M.

Yelp
Marks trivia is always fun. Good times, good service, great food!

Erin O.

Yelp
This past Saturday my husband went out for some food (and a beer while he was waiting). We were going to grab cheesesteaks from a local pizza shop and he decided he'd watch the games/grab a drink at Screwballs while he waited. He'd been here before for drinks, but couldn't remember if he had food before. In order to save him some time, we decided just to order from Screwballs. This review is based solely on the food - my husband said the beer list was great and he enjoyed the vibe at the bar. But the food? In my opinion, it is pretty hard to mess up bar food. And given the size of the menu at Screwballs, I assumed they did a decent job at bar food. I was mistaken. We ordered sliders and two cheesesteaks - chicken cheesesteaks to be exact. The sliders were very much undercooked - to the point where I wouldn't eat them, let alone let me children (who they were for) have them. The cheesesteaks were another story- now, looking back, the menu does say the chicken is diced, but even had we fully comprehended this, I would have assumed it was small bits of chicken. These were made of large chunks. They didn't even come close to satisfying our cheesesteak craving for the night. It's just odd to do a large dice on a chicken sandwich - it made it difficult to eat because you couldn't quite bite it right. The fries were pretty good, but the tots were also undercooked and an undercooked tot is just the worst. I also ordered a salad which was underwhelming. It appeared to be a mismash of ingredients from other items on their menu, not a dedicated salad mix. All in all, I would drink here again and again. I would probably skip the food, maybe try the wings or something more standard to a bar? Most places have a hidden gem on the menu, the issue is finding Screwballs. It's not the chicken cheesesteaks.

Mark S.

Yelp
This is THE place to go for Tuesday night trivia! The night starts @ 7pm...you have 6 rounds of challenging trivia PLUS a Progressive 50/50 drawing after the 6th round where you have the chance to walk away with a decent amount of $$ each week. This is definitely one to check out...up to 6 people can play on a team.

John J.

Yelp
I just can't recommend coming here any longer. I've put in allot of Mondays with my son for wing night but instead of he and I having father son time it has become where is the waitress and why is the food cold. I'm not in position to say how a dining room should run but when you have 2 dining rooms it only makes sense that you have specific waitresses cover one of the dining rooms. What they run with is waitresses covering both sides of the building and skipping entire tables in the confusion.

Dan G.

Yelp
Another great local pub, very nice bar/restaurant areas, food and service were great, lots of specials depending on the day or maybe whether a game is on! Def worth checking out if you are in the area.

Joan M.

Yelp
We must say this is one of our favorites Saturday night spot. They always have a band, and the majority of the bands are really good and the food is also delicious. But the star of the night is always our waitress Betty Ann as busy as it is she always takes time to make sure she greets us as busy as she is. She's always in a good mood always smiling. What else can I say good Food,, good bands, and a great waitress. Thank you Betty Ann you are a gem !

Matt T.

Yelp
First time after seeing it on yelp many times x. Was quite busy for a Sunday evening. Lotsa tvs with football and a really entertaining band. Bit older crown but still fun. Our waitress, Ashla, was covering half the place but was very friendly and fun to interact with. I'll be back just to see her again! Good came pretty quick and was guitar good. (Nachos just need extra cheese)

Nelson J.

Yelp
I try my best to only write positive reviews. Yet after this evening's treatment I can not do that. I was treated very rudely by Carla the main bartender/manager she even put her hand in my face at one point! Carla messed up my order 2 times within 1 hour, completely irresponsible especially when I watched her then yell at a waitress passing the blame on to them! I'm still trying to figure out how I was charged differently on Wednesday night & this evening, Wednesday evening prices were very reasonable, tonight my drinks should've had a Vaseline rim on the glass since I literally got screwed!

Sam F.

Yelp
How does a sports bar screw up wings...? Screwballs had literally THE WORST wings I've ever had at a sports bar. Tucked in the middle of a neighborhood, Screwballs seems promising from the outside. I stopped by here on a Monday where they advertised .35 cent wings. "Great!", I thought, "I'll get a red bull & vodka, watch Monday Night Football, and eat some wings." First, they did NOT have Red Bull. What bar doesnt have Red Bull? "We have a substitute that comes out of the gun, you probably won't like it" is what the bartender told me when I ordered. My wings came out, and out of TEN wings... 2 were flats, 8 were drums. That's pitiful. Flats are the best kinds and I exp expect an equal portion of flats and drums when getting 10. Not having 80% be oversized drums that weren't fully cooked through [had a local come in after I ordered and ordered them well well well done]. The buffalo wings had no flavor and were disgusting. I consider myself a wing lover but even I couldn't finish the 10 wings. All while in the "game room" next to it, there were individuals yelling and calling each other racial names. It wasnt what I expected when you see this place from the outside. Screwballs is a terrible bar with terrible wings. AVOID.

Dave L.

Yelp
On a lark, I stopped by this sports bar for lunch. Tried their "Philadelphia" wings ($6.95), extra hot, with celery sticks and a huge dollop of blue cheese. They were nicely crispy - not spicy, as expected (hmm, I AM dead inside) - but tasty and filling. Savory baked beans were on the side. My stomach left happy. Last time I organized a happy hour here, we got a generous amount of nacho chips, potato chips and pretzels for free, on top of their standing drink specials. Friendly service (thanks Peggy, Cricket, and others), lots of flatscreens, a pool table, and a clean, roomy interior made for a positive experience. Be sure to check out their weekly specials. Even with GPS, first-timers usually get lost. Research your directions carefully!

Drew J.

Yelp
Never been to Screwballs. Went for lunch. Took a chance in the cheesesteak. It was perfect. Steak not ground up and left to Ben able to taste it. Good Cooper cheese. Roll was right. Seeded and a Corropolese roll I think. Maybe I'm wrong but the roll was good. Would definitely go back. I would prefer though steak fries. Not a fan of type they serve. Prefer real fries.

Renee D.

Yelp
I have visited Screwballs many, many times and I love it there. Great food and service. Music is awesome. I love Italian night!!! Great local bar!! I would recommend this place. Thanks Renee

Jillian S.

Yelp
Great food, fun atmosphere, 10/10 recommend! I have a lot of favorites on the menu (which has a ton of options, the best!), but I do love their Thanksgiving Feast sandwich & tater tots! My friends and I would come here just for the Buffalo chicken tenders, too. Can't go wrong with anything they have to offer!

Thomas B.

Yelp
The food is not very good here. Ordered the "Hoss" sandwich - basically a French Dip. The roast beef was heated on the grill, you could see the grill marks on it. That makes it tough and dry. Roast beef should be roasted, not grilled. It served with chips (which were fine) and baked beans. The beans were served ice cold - literally straight from fridge to plate. I'm not quite sure how this is "Best of Montco" No thanks

Mark M.

Yelp
Just found this spot. What a hidden gem nestled in a neighborhood!! Great food fantastic service.. Tuesday trivia is awesome and great music on the weekends!! Highly recommended

Jane P.

Yelp
First off, I expect a local "sports bar" to have the sixers game on. They did not. Went for golf and Olympic trial repeats instead. The beer was fine. 18 taps and a decent selection. Now for the food. The roast pork sandwich was so salty it was borderline edible. The buffalo chicken wrap was more bbq than buffalo. The fries were crispy but were obviously fried in the same oil as seafood. They had a strong fishy taste. So...if you're looking to get some drinks and enjoy live music go for it. If you want to watch local teams and have a decent meal, go somewhere else.

James B.

Yelp
THEY "GET IT". FROM A...... FIRST TIME YELP REVIEWER.... FIRST TIME CUSTOMER. I decided to take my time to post this review because it is not only well deserved, but so others may give it a try. I came to the KoP Mall from NJ, then stopped in SCREWBALLS to take in the Flyers and a few NCAA games over lunch. I don't know much about the area, and I never even heard of this spot. I always avoid franchise spots, which consumes KoP, so I was attracted to this "local spot" that popped up on my iPhone map search. The bartender (Brunette with referee Jersey) was overly nice to me and all around the 35+ seat oval/shaped bar that was surrounded by just as many TVs and tabes, including a 'pool'table and other games in a semi-enclosed adjacent room. The atmosphere, staff and food were perfect. I had a blackened chic sandwich with bacon and LTO. I asked for it a little well done and it came out hot and perfect with crispy bacon and lettuce. Small things, but things so important to those 48 or so hours that makeup the free weekend time. Again, this is a first for me in giving a review or meeting anyone from this local gem. Some places just "Get It", and SCREWBALLS definitely does...... so much so that I took this time to pass along my experience.

Mike M.

Yelp
To get these things out of the way, Screwballs isn't a great restaurant, it doesn't have the greatest selection of liquors or the best cocktails, and it's not a great "beer bar." It is, however, a pretty good place to sit back and have a good time. The food is pretty decent bar food, and the menu is big enough to hit on whatever bar classic you're looking for (burgers, wings, pretzels, anything cooked in a frier, etc.) Beers are cold, and there's enough of a selection that anyone should be able to find something that works for them. And the prices are reasonable. The servers are really nice, are reasonably attentive and get food and drinks out at an appropriate speed. They have a side room with a pool table and various other bar games. And, they have some bar activity (karaoke, etc.) going on almost every night. Screwballs doesn't stand out for its food, drinks or decor, but it has nice staff, a great vibe, and does everything else adequately well. It makes it, all in all, a fun place to chill.

Lauren R.

Yelp
Screwballs is the place to go for good food great music and great company!! Great atmosphere...enjoy my time every time I come here!!

Scott F.

Yelp
Local bar (very local). If ur not from the neighborhood it's hard to hold much of a conversation. Have had wings, chicken nachos, cheese steak, Italian sausage, all good. They have had live music a couple of times that was very enjoyable

Harry B.

Yelp
Slow. Slow. Slow. Food not really all that good either. Not even at bar food standards. The bar was unusually loud at lunch and I had to listen to a guy who was obviously over served drop /yell the F bomb at least 50 times. I am no prissy boy but the bartender should have done something. The dining room decor is fine for a 12 year old bedroom. The first two visits we were forgotten about twice by the server. The third visit was so bad we finally walked out the service was so bad and the food is subpar at best, it wasn't worth waiting for. If you like beer, swearing, and sports I guess it is a great place but as for being a restaurant? Forget about it. Date nights are hard to come by. Don't waste one here. We gave this local place three attempts. Strike three your out. The only reason this place stays open is because of the locals and the bar.

Julio V.

Yelp
Worst management ever.. horrible service and rude people.... food was disgusting that I would not give my dog

Jamie M.

Yelp
My friend was itching to grab a drink and decided she wanted to go to the nearest bar, which unfortunately for me, was Screwballs. Although the crowd hanging outside when we got there seemed predominately older, she still insisted we head inside. We entered in on the bar side which was filled with patrons easily 40 years and older, sauntered through the pool area which was full of teenage boys, and finally settled on a table over in what appeared to be the non-smoking family section. We each ordered a shrimp and fries platter and had water to drink. Our food took what seemed like forever and then it was wrong. Apparently our server decided we should have chicken and fries instead. When I brought it to her attention, she recounted with "Are you sure you didn't order chicken?" No, I hadn't. Especially since I also remembered asking for a side of cocktail sauce. The food was alright and the price was okay, but all in all, next time someone suggests Screwballs, I'll probably sit that round out.

Billy K.

Yelp
Never been here before. Called on the phone to ask if they had karaoke tonight, and the gal on the phone was soooo friendly and nice, I came here to say hi to her! Her name is Liz... and she said that they do have karaoke, and said I should stop by, sing, watch the Eagles game, have a drink, and say hello! She really made me want to drive the 18 miles to get there, and enjoy the fun. I found out who it was on the phone, and made a point of saying hello and thanking her. The food was great. I had the huge Italian roast pork sandwich with sharp provolone.... and it was fantastic! $5.45!!!! I'll be back!

Lisa D.

Yelp
Just left this neighborhood bar and Resturant had a wonderful time ! Great food and our server Diane was awesome!?? Definitely look forward to returning

Bud B.

Yelp
The place is a local neighborhood bar, which is great for people in the neighborhood. If you aren't living in the immediate area, I don't know why you'd go here. The food isn't the best and the bar staff isn't the most friendly. The has tons of sports stuff hanging all over the wall, but the place just doesn't seem that authentic. The character of the bar just isn't there. This place would be a lot better if it were suited toward college students and have cheap drink specials. It's in a category that just demands more at this point. The top reviewer, George S, has got to be a friend of the owner or just a really generous guy who only has 3 reviews. I call BS on that post
