Google
They have ALL the candy! If you’re looking for a fun addition to your gift or stocking stuffers or even just exploring for yourself, this is it! They have tons of options, they have slightly unique ice cream flavors and handmade local art hung along the walls. Coconut Oreo ice cream: 7/10 *heads up, even the small is HUGE! At least in my opinion*

Google
First time for an ice cream at Scrumptious in Olde Town Arvada We took a large one (3 flavors: Toffee Pecans, Nutella and Orange Cream). It was huge! Ice cream are voluptuous and delicious. Don’t hesitate and enjoy!

Google
I was the door guy. They wanted me to hold the door after 9:00 p.m. cuz it was 9:10 and everybody was still trying to get in the doors cuz the ice cream was so amazing. Got discount on my ice cream cuz I was a security. I loved it will definitely be back The crew here is worth all the money and deserve a raise I love them awesomeness

Google
I can't imagine Old Town Arvada retaining the same level of old town charm without this creamery and candy shop! Madison and her team work hard to retain the towns historic welcoming vide, and I have never found a flavor there that hasn't tickled my tastebuds.. A must stop in experience!

Google
Selections of ice cream and bottles soda was spectacular. Staff was super friendly and helpful, even while busy they were super chill. Candy selection was awesome. And the Elvis ice cream was freaking delightful and tasty. Highly recommend stopping by and sitting outside and enjoying the local music by guitar guy...he was very good and just added to the overall great afternoon.

Google
Strictly reviewing the ice cream only. I didn't think you could mess up ice cream, but this was no good. Extremely gummy, weird texture, too sweet, mediocre flavor. We will not be going back.

Google
This place is awesome! I've had a sweet tooth & came across this spot. The reviews don't lie. There's a ginormous section of old school candies. Anything you could want! And the ice cream is so good!

Google
If you want delicious ice cream, generous customer service, and candy that will remind you of your childhood, this is the place! An absolute gem in Olde Town Arvada, my family and I will be back every time we’re in town! We had the Elvis, mint chip, and vanilla raspberry marshmallow, and they were all scrumptious! The vanilla raspberry marshmallow was so good we went back for another scoop before heading home!

Yelp
What a fun place! And who doesn't like a candy store that sells homemade ice cream? After meeting friends for lunch we decided to walk around Old Town Arvada and listen to some live music. We wandered into Scrumptious and we're met with more kinds of candy than I'd seen in one place in a very long time. BTW - I didn't know they even still made bubblegum cigarettes- but there they were. I loved the self serve Jelly Belly area and the self serve powdered candy area. They had some seating by the window so you could enjoy people warching with your ice cream. The staff was friendly and efficient and I was proud of myself for only buying 4 bars of Halvah.

Stefanie C.

Yelp
They don't make candy shops like this anymore! Super cute local place in Olde Town Arvada. I came here with my friend after parking several blocks away, insisting that we browse all the available candy before getting in line for ice cream. Got mint chocolate chip in a small cup as always. It was sooo tasty and really hit the spot. There's some seating inside, or you can walk around Olde Town if it's a nice day outside!

Yelp
Some of the BEST ice cream I've had! We ordered a vanilla malt and coconut ice cream scoops. I ordered a kids size and it was still such a huge scoop! Coconut was AMAZING. I recommend it to all! They also have a ton of candy inside. Lots of fun and unique kinds that are difficult to find these days!! It was busy with a long line. But it goes rather quick and is totally worth it!

Yelp
Adorable, nostalgic, and childhood memories galore! This is such a fun place to visit when in downtown Arvada. They have so many unique varieties of sweets! They have candy and gum from my childhood, which I have not been able to find anywhere else along with candy from today...except better. They even have all pink Starburst packets! From sweet to sour to crunchy and gooey, there is something for everyone here. They have ice cream here, which includes a lot of creative mixtures, but I have never been a fan of it. It lacks the rich creaminess that I prefer. It is almost like frozen skim milk with flavors. I have tried a few different flavors thinking that it will be different each time, but it is not. The staff has always been friendly and the inside of the store is well organized and clean. It is definitely a place I highly recommend anyone, young and old, visit!

Kayla R.

Yelp
Loved the variety and seasonality of flavors! The candy store was so fun to get lost in for a bit and made me feel like a kid again. Great spot to try after having dinner in old town!

Rachel B.

Yelp
Delicious ice cream, fun candy shop, and cute location. Located in Old Town Arvada - there are tons of fun little stores and eateries surrounding this special ice cream spot. Keep in mind the parking is limited so you may have to walk. The ice cream is super delicious and the servings are generous. It is homemade but not the runny type of homemade. My eating companions and I enjoyed: cones and cups of mint chocolate chip, sweet cream, orange creamsicle, chocolate, cotton candy, mystery, praline and cream. The store is very well stocked with candy and novelty items. I am confident if you are looking for a unique gift, you can find it here. I purchased a Batman print made by a local artisan. There's not tons of seating inside, but when the weather warms up they do have seating outside where a person could relax with a bit more room. I highly recommend!

Yelp
This place always brings a smile to my face. So happy I could visit while briefly back in Colorado last week. Several flavors to choose from, great service behind the counter, and just all around a feel-good experience. I tried the "Elvis" on this visit (peanut butter, banana, and honey). Nice treat on a warm spring day. My only recommendation is to add a sugar-free option to the lineup!

Ed D.

Yelp
This place is pretty neat. Part ice cream parlor and part candy store with a whole slew of different candies. It's worth just looking around at all the different types. If I was more into candy, I would've loved it! But the ice cream was also good, thick and creamy. I ordered the kids size and I'm so glad I didn't get a bigger size. The kids size already had like 3 whole scoops in it so I barely finished my coffee ice cream but I was full! Prices are very good for the amount of ice cream you get. I'll definitely come back if I'm in the area

Yelp
This is in old towns Arvada. You have to park on the street and walk over. It's pedestrian walking only. They have nostalgia candy, sodas, ice cream and shakes. They also have cute tshirts with the scrumptious store name on it. I liked the art l work they have displayed on the wall of Star Wars, Addams family, nightmare before Christmas, Batman. The ice cream flavors are amazing. They have a butterscotch ice cream flavor that was out of this world. As well as an orange chip, lemon Oreo, Nutella, root beer, Elvis (peanut butter banana & caramel), whiskey and more.

David K.

Yelp
First time here. Very fun place. Went here on 9/3/23. All the ice cream is homemade. Looks like they rotate flavors. It was all good. They have lots of candy and 'craft' sodas for sale. The atmosphere is great. Very friendly staff. Definitely a treat to go.

JoAnne V.

Yelp
Cute little candy/ ice cream store. All sorts of candy available even some nostalgic ones from long ago! Ice cream creamy, assorted flavors and served in different ways. Waffle cone, sugar cone, cup etc. Ice cream was a perfect way to cool off on this very hot day! Definitely would recommend trying this place. Not only for the delicious ice cream products but all this candy and nostalgia! Literally like a kid in a candy store!

Jordan S.

Yelp
This place has such a nostalgia feeling. It's set up like an old time candy shop. Straight up like something out of the Sandlot or Stand by Me. They have blue moon ice cream which is nearly impossible to find outside of the Midwest and South. It's similar to if Fruity Pebbles had ice cream. A must try in my opinion. Throughout the store they have a variety of old and new and modern day candy. They even have soda in a random assortment of flavors like ranch and other crazy off the wall types. This is a good store to visiting if you're in the area and want a quick treat. The novelty of it all is worth visiting

David C.

Yelp
Really neat, old school spot in Olde Town Arvada! There is a bunch of candy and art that you can buy here as well. All the flavors I've gotten here were really good but I would like to warn everyone that the portions for ice cream are HUGE. The picture attached to this review is a kids cup.

Caroline Y.

Yelp
This is probably the biggest and best local candy shop I've seen! They have a variety of chocolate candy, gummy candy, and ice cream that's made in-house. I stopped in here for dessert after a delicious dinner in olde town. They had a variety of unique ice cream flavors. I tried pink cashew and chocolate orange. Both were so good! I didn't see any dairy-free or vegan ice cream flavors on my trip. They carry lots of different candy! This would be a great place to find old-fashioned candy and unique candies for gifts. When I came they had a huge Reese's chocolate display which spoke to my heart. There is also a big gummy pick and mix area and a Jelly Belly display. I saw many different candies that you don't normally see at the checkout counter in grocery stores. I'll be back next time I have a craving for something sweet!

Bradley H.

Yelp
Amazing homemade ice cream. Not too sugary like alot places. Love this is our place in Arvada

Zak S.

Yelp
Not the friendliest staff. Ice cream flavors are creative As far as ice cream goes I would prefer a creamery less milky consistency. Not much to choose from in regards to ice cream in Arvada so it's what we go to when not in the Down Town Area.

April N.

Yelp
I have always loved Scrumptious ice cream, but now as a recent vegan, I have been getting their great sorbet, but sometimes missing the ice cream. Tried their new vegan vanilla today. Great taste & creamy. It is soy based, really great.

Craig E.

Yelp
What a cool place in Old Town Arvada (I refuse to call it 'Olde' Town)! Took my son here to grab a treat on a Monday evening on a whim and we loved it. I love the old school candy shop feel, nice little ice cream counter, great selection of sugary goodness and the staff was friendly and efficient even on a pretty busy night. My son got the maple ice cream, not sure why he chose that over the usual kids flavors but he loved it (so did my car seat when he dumped the last 10% of it on my backseat). I had the heath caramel ice cream and it was definitely a winner. We will definitely come back and hopefully couple it with something that's a little more healthy!

Tink R.

Yelp
Fun to see all of the candy! Ice cream selection was only so-so...seemed like a lot of odd combinations. The ice cream we had was average -- one scoop of chocolate and the other was a scoop of chocolate chip, I think. We'll probably look for other options next time.

Amy H.

Yelp
I love this place! They have some delicious treats from my childhood and if I wan rice cream instead.. they have it! Great for a hot day with kids or the end os a date. Highly recommended!

Noelle B.

Yelp
Incredible cinnamon ice cream! Sizes are large and lots of great options. Great staff: helpful and kind! Fun to explore the candy shop!

Joeseph M.

Yelp
The coffee ice cream was OK, could barely taste the coffee flavor though. The Smurf guts ice cream was pretty good, not quite sure what the flavor was and I was too scared to ask, which brings me to my next point. There were 3 employees when we went in this past Saturday night. One of the girls working was sweet and polite while the other girl and guy working had such an attitude for no reason and were annoyed whenever anyone placed an order. Will not be back that's for sure!

Veronica B.

Yelp
Well this was a fun surprise! We didn't really know what to expect when visiting Scrumptious. When you step inside it's a candy store AND ice cream spot. So we spent a bit of time walking around and staring at candy treats but went with ice cream which is what we really wanted. We tried the caramel apple as well as the waffle cone flavors and enjoyed. I'd recommend giving them a try if you're nearby.

Randi S.

Yelp
I call them honey dukes They have a lot of candy and homemade ice cream but it's really expensive

Russell M.

Yelp
I ran across the scrumptious food truck today! Having needing to use the restroom first, I inquired where I might locate one "no idea man" is far from the response i expected. Unfortunately due to the attitude, I did not try the ice cream. Some basic customer service here would go a LONG way, like; if you are selling food, perhaps know a general idea of where you might be able to send customers for a restroom that you are clearly not providing. In some states this is a health code violation. Good luck on the business. Thank you to the person who sent me a personal message regarding food trucks in CO and AZ, although I don't reside in either state it's welcome information to know that both are behind the times. I also firmly disagree with your assessment that the employee manning this truck is "hard working".

Yelp
A big group of us stopped in around 8:45 after a birthday dinner on a Wednesday night. The shop is located in a pretty busy area of Olde Town, and was actually pretty packed when we walked in. There was either some sort of event going on nearby, or I just haven't been to that part of town in too long, but it's completely BLOWN UP. Anyway, it's been a long time since I've been in a candy/ice cream shop like this. It totally brought me back... holy nostalgia! The place is overflowing with tons of different kinds of candy, toys, and trinkets. It reminds me of all the times I so desperately wanted to wander around candy shops like this one as a kid. There's also a bunch of super rad artwork all over the place that's available for purchase - I ended up getting two super awesome prints for $20 a piece - and buying them totally supports local artists, which I love. Now to the fun part: ice cream! The selection isn't crazy diverse, although I'm not sure if flavors rotate often, but what they had to offer looked super yummy! I ended up getting a huge scoop of chocolate praline ice cream in a chocolate dipped waffle cone, and it was BOMB. A couple other people in our group got the green tea ice cream and mint chocolate ice cream, which they seemed to enjoy; another got the wildberry flavor, and unfortunately, he didn't like it at all. Despite that, for the amount of goodness they stuff in the cones and cups, it's actually pretty cheap - mine came out to $5 and change (before I decided to get the prints!) - so you'll definitely get what you pay for and more! The guys at the counter were extremely patient, very friendly, and super polite; as I said, the place was full of people, but not one time during my visit did I see or experience anything but positive attitudes. I know can be very challenging in the hustle and bustle type scenario, and it was so awesome and very pleasant to interact with them... even after I made a split second decision to buy my second print and had the gentleman run into the back for a second time to get it... not once did I ever feel rushed, nor did I ever feel like anyone was irritated or annoyed by the long line of people (including me!) that seemed to be crazy indecisive when they walked up to the counter. Overall, I loved my experience here. I'm typically not a fan of crowds, but this was an exception; I didn't even seem to notice how many people were there that night, which is super surprising! I'll definitely be back.

Mandi D.

Yelp
Best Ice creams in town, love the candy selection . Oldtown Arvada you got it going on.

Allegra L.

Yelp
The ice cream was so good! We tasted sour cherry, coffee, German chocolate cake, and strawberry. They all were so creamy and delicious. And the serving sizes are huge! The kid's cup was the perfect size! They also serve as a candy store and it was so cute! My daughter was living looking at all the candy and we picked up some old school candy and my daughter picked out some jelly beans.

Leena S.

Yelp
Scrumptious sure has their name right! Satisfy your sweet tooth here with a great selection of home made ice creams, as well as candy and other sweet treats. Scrumptious also carries all sorts of other knick knacks from toys, books, and other novelties. We all ordered a kids portion of ice cream in a cup. The kids size is insane. The kids size here would be equivalent to a large in most other ice cream parlors. You certainly get more for your money. I could have easily shared mine, but I didn't. Instead, I proceeded to slowly but surely clean out my cup. We ordered a butter pecan (which was decadent and creamy) and chocolate and cashew (this flavor was just ok in my book). Next time you're in old town Arvada and looking for a little sugar rush walk yourself over to Scrumptious!

Nicole W.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious ice cream!! I got the lemon blueberry ice cream and it was amazing. Loved it so much. Everyone else enjoyed theirs as well. The store worker was friendly as well.

Lewis B.

Yelp
This is a nice low traffic candy store if you're looking to get candy and you are worried about the virus. They have a bunch of old school things. they also have ice cream, I tried a lot of them, all good. Not sure why the mediocre review.

Cassandra B.

Yelp
I'm often wary of candy stores that have giant bins of candy for the picking because you don't know how long they've been out there. I was desperate for candy though so I got a little paper bag and started picking things out. Unfortunately the taffy I got was very hard and the individually wrapped bite size air heads also tasted stale and the date on them was 2007. The full size bars I picked out seemed much more fresh so that hit the spot. Staff was super friendly, store was fun to shop around, and they have some awesome artwork in one of their rooms. I would try the ice cream if I'm in Arvada again. A lot of the positive reviews seem to be about that and I didn't get to try the ice cream when I was there. I wouldn't buy the candy again though.

Katie H.

Yelp
Last time we visited, our friends brought us here and I loved it. I came specifically for ice cream. But this place over all is pretty awesome. Such a fun candy store with lots of other trinkets and gifts. I remember having Bluebery Buttermilk Pancake Ice Cream and absolutely loving it! This time, more amazing ice cream! I went for a large with three scoops - Strawberry Chunk, Dark Chocolate Orange and S'mores. The strawberry is great flavor and some decent sized chunks of chocolate chips in it. Chocolate and orange are a favorite flavor combo for me, so that was definitely nice. And the S'more really packed a punch - thick gobs of marshmallow fluff in a chocolate graham cracker flavored ice cream. So good!!!

Cici B.

Yelp
Favorite ice cream parlor in Arvada! Love wandering through the candy store too. Great place.

Christina K.

Yelp
I was actually really impressed with how nice the service and ice cream was! As a preggo, I get picky with my food and sometimes crave weird stuff. I wanted something chocolatey and crunchy and got exactly what I wanted! We forgot our masks at home and they were kind enough to come outside and let us order instead of going inside. Great service. Good ice cream! 10/10 recommend.

Seth D.

Yelp
We got cursed by candy but the ice cream was pretty good. One positive one negative yum!

Sam D.

Yelp
In the adorable town of Arvada, there are so many ice cream places to choose from. How do you know where to go? YELP, obviously! And this one is rated the best. We walked in--well, attempted to walk in. The line was out the door. They were set to close at 10ish. But luckily, we made it in time. You can try flavors as you please. I won't lie though, it feels a bit intimidating given the line being so long and the employees working really fast. You feel slightly rushed to make a decision. Or at least we did. We landed ourselves with the salted oreo and coconut cream pie. Both were delicious. They were a bit heavy, but my wife and I shared a small and it was plenty for us.

Kevin L.

Yelp
I'm glad they enforce the mask policy. If you're not wearing a mask you deserve to be questioned about it. It's not rude- it's like going to a store without a shirt or pants in 2020. People need to use their common sense. The ice cream is delicious and the location is great.

Nora P.

Yelp
Ice cream is amazing and we come here frequently. Won't be back until next summer since the staff Pyle not close the door and it is now mid October

Janet D.

Yelp
Total flashback to the similar business model in California. All kinds of candy under one roof. I usually go for the giant super size candies like the Snicker bar. Or the Tootsie Rolls. They also carry locally made ice cream. A mom and pop store that deserves to be recognized. Pleasant couple. This Olde Arvada area is cute!

Ryan M.

Yelp
Solid little ice cream spot in Arvada, where I almost bit off way more than I could chew. These are a lot more filling than they look. Amazing ice cream (opted for Blue Moon, Orange Creamsicle, and Strawberry) and soft cookies. Everything you would want in and old town ice cream parlor.

Gail W.

Yelp
Really good ice in a cute shop in downtown Arvada. Cool place to stop if you're out for a stroll. The ice cream is delicious and this place always has a small line. They move pretty quickly so don't leave without trying a scoop or two.

Nicole P.

Yelp
Stop reading this and go get Scrumptious ice cream, right now! Still here? ok I'll elaborate. First it reminds you of a traditional soda shop/candy store. While you're not going to walk up and order a malt to share with your honey, you CAN in fact get a malted milkshake. They have a large selection of delicious homemade ice cream, and you never know which ones will be available until you get there. I love you, Cherry Chocolate Chip. They keep an electronic sign updated behind the register for you to decide while in line. If you're just a regular ice cream eater, the kid size is probably going to satiate your appetite just fine. The portions are not stingy. For a more ravenous ice cream eater such as myself, I still never get more than a small (I mean, I want to because it's delicious, but my scale keeps shaming me). The other side of the store is an old timey candy shop. All the candies you can never find anywhere else, all in one spot. need a giant Hershey bar gag gift? or a sticky Mary Jane to remind you of summers at your Grandpa's house? Maybe some local art? They have it all. So go grab your ice cream, pull up a seat at their outside benches, and people watch the locals! Don't forget to bring me home one too.

Kate T.

Yelp
We love Scrumptious! Homemade ice cream, unique (but still familiar) flavors with the perfect creamy texture. Their truck toured Arvada this summer and we went at least once a week. They also have non dairy options. Generous portions for the pricing- I would get a kids size and it was plenty for me and my two year old to share. A must visit if you're in Olde Town!

Chuck D.

Yelp
We came from Hunter Bay nextdoor. Too many people walking past us enjoying ice-cream right in our faces! We got a kids chocolate personally it seemed like a frozen hot chocolate kind of basic chocolate taste imo. Tried a sample of the lemoncello very nice would get that next time and skip the chocolate. The Mrs. Got a sample spoon of strawberry and was very pleased.

Cagney M.

Yelp
We love everything about this place!!! Best ice cream flavor options Best candy and gifts - guaranteed to giggle out loud Best staff - Thanks Rich & Ice cream food truck crew Best Owner!!! luv y'all Thanks for making our town the best town!!!

Lauren D.

Yelp
The staff was kind and the ice cream was good, but man is this place chaotic! There is a ton of space but it's all being filled with candy and random novelty items, so when it gets busy, like it was on the Saturday night I was there, it just feels so crowded and loud. Everyone was cramped into the small area with seating and it was not ideal. At least they are not skimpy on portions!

Josiah J.

Yelp
Good ice cream. Been eating here since 2016, amazing local place. Don't have any complaints.

Vincent P.

Yelp
A couple of great flavors and candies. The paintings hung up on the wall look great! Would love to come back.
