Sculpture and Shore Walk

Definitely recommend taking this walk, you get perfect landscapes and interesting monuments and statues along the way. It’s nice start to explore Reykjavik, you get to see the yellow lighthouse, Sun Voyager… and Harpa is at the end. Visited on 22nd January

Easy pedestrian friendly-path approximately 3.5 miles long with various works of sculptures along the north shore of Reykjavik. This has to be Reykjavik’s most scenic walks in the city. If you have the time this is an enjoyable walk. The most popular and most photographic sculpture is the Sun Voyager sculpture that overlooks Kollafjörður fjord.

a great place for walking/jogging! can be very cold in winter. may be slippery as well, i fell down and almost slipped a few times

Lovely walk along the sea front. Relaxing on a nice day but even when it's snowing its really nice too.

If you love the sea, you must visit the seaside of Reykjavík and deep breath the vastness of the Atlantic Ocean along its coast.

The Sculpture and Shore Walk in Reykjavík is a beautiful coastal path stretching along the seafront, offering stunning views of the ocean, Mount Esja, and even Snæfellsjökull glacier on clear days. I loved walking here multiple times a day, taking in the ever-changing scenery, whether it was calm and sunny or dramatic and stormy. The fresh sea air and the well-maintained footpath make it a joy to explore, and the dedicated two-way bicycle lane ensures a smooth experience for cyclists. I used to cycle along this route a lot, and I can attest that the cycle lanes are excellently tarmacked, with no holes, and are wide enough for cyclists to comfortably pass each other. Along the way, you’ll find several sculptures and artworks, including the iconic Sun Voyager, which adds to the charm of the route. The walk is peaceful yet vibrant, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a morning jog. A must-do for anyone visiting Reykjavík!
