Great spot to go check out a movie in the park. Haven’t gotten here for a picnic, but it would be something that I would love to do believe there is a community garden nearby and still great views near Spear Avenue. Definitely a cute spot. Make sure you’re doing somebug repellent if you are prone to getting bugs on you but a great place to watch the sunset overall.

A small street corner park featuring a sculpture. We came to see the Christmas drone show

Mixed feelings about location as a venue. The festival itself was Amazing! All of the bands were excellent. Minimal shade, no umbrellas or spray sunscreen allowed. I get extremely overheated quickly and normally use my UV protection umbrella but was not allowed to take it in. The entrance is located in the Performing Arts complex near the Boettcher Hall. We looked and googled in advance to find out what we could take into the venue and it would be nice if that information was easily accessible. Parking was $15. I am so glad they had water stations but there was at least one point when it was empty and we had to wait. We were sunburned and had heat exhaustion. I was told the umbrella is a visual obstruction… as a short person, not necessarily true… my 6ft son is more of a visual obstruction. The staff were great, professional and friendly.

The concert was kick @$$, the venue was a beautiful backdrop for it all, but the most notable thing was the staff. All of the staff was so kind and happy and talkative! It made for an extra special experience. The staff truly went above and beyond, especially for a ska festival, to make it a fun and welcoming experience!! I hope there will be more outdoor events at the sculpture garden in the near future!

I was able to experience ¡Catrinas en mi Caiudad! at Sculpture Park, which is part of the Denver Center for Performing Arts, and it was amazing! Every single thing about the exhibit was absolutely beautiful. The colors were vibrant, informative signs for every piece telling you about the artist and their inspiration. The open space was utilized well to spread out exhibits and allow plenty of room to navigate while also keeping the cohesiveness of the exhibit. In addition to the art there was live music, vender tables, food trucks and carts. Every comment i heard was about how breath taking, memorizing and authentic the whole exhibit was, for a few moments you forgot you were in the middle of the city. I will definitely be attending again should they return!

Such a beautiful and open space! Loved getting to check out Opiou here and eveb though it was packed it was open and lovely and I felt I had space! Outside rules were very relaxed but misleading compared to the website. I could of brought a bigger big, more water, and sunscreen vs limiting myself but I know for next time.

Gr8 for the special event - Catrinas en mi cuidad Oct 14 2023. Parked at Metro state across road. Security on sight. Felt safe. Grass and places to sit. Dog friendly.

Was killing time downtown and wandered into this little park. It has some very interesting sculptures and I was fascinated by the perspective with the sun. Beautiful area. I'm glad I found it!

Yelp
While driving through Denver during our recent visit we came across this large green space and park. What caught my attention was the two large dancing sculptures that invite you to join them. Sculpture Park hosts many large outdoor festivals, concerts, workouts and other events. I have only seen these types of large sculptures in Calgary, Alberta Canada so I was excited when I saw these two dancers. The sculptures were created by Jonathan Borafsky and they are part of the public art collection here in Denver. Also due to their size they are a landmark right on Speer Blvd. It's not a particularly quiet park due to heavy traffic in the area, but a fun place to visit and shoot a quick pic.

Yelp
Beautiful spot that often has some events held here. But also just a great place to visit to sip a coffee or have a picnic. I love this particular sculpture in Denver. Definitely an iconic spot!

Yelp
This is a sculpture park although the two dancing sculptures are fun wish there was more interesting sculptures in this park.

Yelp
After dealing with our unfortunate turn of events, it was too early for dinner but everything was closed, so we walked around downtown Denver to kill time and work up an appetite. After we walked around the Capitol and Civic Center Park, we decided to walk to the Sculpture Park. It was a bit of a trek, but hey, we had nothing better to do, and we might as well get our steps in. The reason why we chose to walk to the Sculpture Park is because we like parks, and we like public art. However, we hadn't really done our research about the Sculpture Park and I thought it would be a cool park with sculptures, like the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden in DC, so I was extremely disappointed when all I found was a crappy field with one sculpture. I'm not criticizing the sculpture, the 60 foot "Dancers" by Jonathan Borofsky, but it wasn't so amazing that the walk in the hot heat along busy roads and glass-covered sidewalks, past numerous homeless camps, was worth it. The sculpture was just so-so, and the "park" was gross and ugly, with trampled grass and no amenities. I also really had to pee, and out of desperation I walked to the port-a-potties in the park, only to find that they were locked. Perhaps there were washrooms elsewhere, but I didn't see any. From what I have since discovered, the Sculpture Garden is located at the Arts Complex and it is a popular place for outdoor events. But in my opinion, unless there is an event happening, the Sculpture Garden is nothing but a barren field. Don't go out of your way (like we did) to see it. Yelp
This is less a park and more an extension of the dpa, being a tiny grass enclave flanking two theaters, the dancers is great and iconic but it's basically the only sculpture in said park. The homeless were the more prevalent fixture the park which was a bigger bummer than the lack of sculptures

Yelp
A cool park mostly known for the two larger than life dancers. During the summer months it is taken over by barricades where the park hosts a summer concert series that are ticketed events. There are no chairs as it is standing room only and holds 5000 guests. Drinks and food trucks are inside and the experience is intimate and casual, yet fun. When the concert series is over the barricades come down and anyone can stroll on through. A picture with the dancers is a must! It is located on the same complex as the Denver Performing Arts and is right near a busy street. You can park at a meter or in the two nearest parking garages. I usually see people playing with their dogs or having a picnic. It's not overly quiet because of traffic, but it does offer a beautiful green landscape and cool architecture. Overall, if you've never been to Sculpture Park it is a place that you have to stop by.

Yelp
This park is nothing but a large spacious grass field that hosts events with an enormous sculpture on it from two Dancers. I don't recommend to come relax as it's next to a busy road and quite loud.
