Service is great. Pasta dish we had was ok, but the pizza is where is at. It was by far one the best pizzas I ever had, the dough is delicious. We also had the Nutella pizza and that was just as good.

Google
First time visit and i bought a pizza pie. Maybe not the biggest but quality ingredient cooked in wood oven that gave it a unique flavor. If you want a large cheap pizza i guess there is dominos. Only complaint is they open at five and no lunch.

Google
I ordered through slice to pickup. This place is a joke. The pizza will feed maybe my 3 year old. It’s like an 8” pizza for $20. And it looks thrown together. And when I called to tell they just said too bad that’s how our pizza is. Stay away! What a scam. Pizza is the size of my hand for $20 😂😂😂😂

Google
This place was recommended by a friend and said he goes here every time he's in town. We made the trip to check it out and we will definitely be back. The pizza both red and white was amazing. Thks place is rather on the small side but it's worth the wait. Definitely recommend. We will be adding this to our stops when we are in Delray!

Google
My family and I used to love this place when it was on the Ave in Delray. Just as good out here in Coral Springs. Had the prosciutto Nd mozz app -- superb. Lasagna was ... outstanding. Delicioso. Supreme. Whatever, it was good.

Marcos Bordin

Google
Best pizza in the area, BY FAR, if you like authentic Italian's. Plus, try the Gjulia Bionda beer... you won't regret it.

Joel Trimble

Google
The oven, the flour and the beer all coming from Italy combined with fresh organic ingredients make this pizza the MOST genuine Italian pizza in the state of Florida hands down! This IS the real thing!

Google
This is another place that popped up on my Instagram out of nowhere to try, so I wrote it down and finally was in the area to try. I had the Pizza and the prosciutto panini. The Pannini was great, bread was delicious but really lacked prosciutto, maybe one slice or 2, the pizza was ok a little under cooked slightly bland but overall, I'd go back to try other dinner items, good find Instagram, thanks

Yelp
Came here on an invite a friend. She loves to discover new pizza places and she wanted to check this place out. When we arrived, there was barely anyone there so the service was pretty fast and attentive. I had the margarita pizza and added sausage for protein the pizza was wet, but it was good. They probably calamari was delicious. I would definitely come check this place out again. The place is clean and neat.

Yelp
Excellent Valentines weekend out! We decided on a whim for " new Italian", so headed over to Yelp. Found this gem! Not the traditional SoFl Italian, a bit better. Very fresh, handmade, heaven!!! It was a little slow, so we got fast service. Excellent, attentive waiter, older Italian gentleman. They had on Italian TV, that was cool. Lovely place. Go by and visit. Very friendly staff, made us feel welcome. As an interracial couple, sometimes we get stares, even though SoFl is diverse. Here we felt welcomed, respected, with great service. We splurged, so we had $120 bill, $145 with tip. Worth every penny, we will be back. Glad we took a risk!!! Excellent date or family spot. Italian music or frank Sinatra playing softly would be nice, because I could see it being noisy if crowded. High ceilings, nice space, kudos to the owner! Thanks for a great first visit!

Yelp
Last night I had the pleasure of trying this wonderful establishment. We spoke with the owner last night since my friend hailed from Pennsylvania, Pittsburgh area specifically he was absolutely enchanted by everything! We ordered an entrée salad and rice balls to split, then one of their specialty pizzas. Everything was served fresh, and it tasted amazing! It was such a mellow environment. We showed up around 8 PM and they close around 10. We were treated to tiramisu by the owner. that was the most heavenly bites I've put in my mouth in a long time. If you're in the Coral Springs area, I highly recommend checking out this authentic Neapolitan style pizza joint! Everything will knock your socks off.

Yelp
I'm updating my review due to the experience we had last Saturday night. I am removing one star, something I've never done before. We invited two other couples to join us for dinner on my birthday. I would normally choose something a little more upscale for a birthday dinner, but really wanted our friends to try their wonderful pizza. Unfortunately, last Saturday, there was a major downpour when we arrived we were seated indoors, which, at this time of the year (July) in Florida is almost always appropriate. On this night, not only was there a guitar player, but also a sax. I love sax music, but not amplified in a small, crowded room. We politely asked the waiter, and then any employee who happened to be nearby, to please ask the musicians to turn down or turn off their amps! We had to repeat the question, since it was too loud in the room for them to hear us. They did finally give us an understanding nod, but never did anything about the volume. At some point, being frustrated and embarrassed for recommending this restaurant to our friends, I gave up being nice. When we asked the management of the restaurant to tone down the music so we could hear each other..or even hear ourselves think, they couldn't ear us! What does that tell you. We seriously discussed setting up a group text at our table, so we could communicate. We are our pizza and got out of there as quickly as possible. What an experience! In the future, since I love their pizza, I will only go there when there is NO MUSIC playing. In the past, when they had a musician playing, we ate outside. They kept the door open, so we could hear the music AND each other. It was monsooning out, so that was not an option... Luckily, we had plans to have dessert at our house, so we could have a conversation with our friends before we went our separate ways. That saved our lovely evening with friends, celebrating my birthday!

Yelp
Always delicious! If you are looking for a gourmet pizza, different to the regular "pepperoni and cheese" this is the right place. We always order pizza con pistacchio and salsiccia and never disappoint me, sometimes we order Keste pizza that is good too and Sicilian arancini. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
Amazing food and service all of the time The eggplant is probably the best I've ever eaten!

Yelp
We love Scuola! Our neighborhood go-to restaurant for the best Neapolitan pizza and homemade authentic Italian food. Excellent service, fresh delicious food. Consistently five stars across the board.

Yelp
Always delicious! Wonderful service. Friendly & tasty, how can you go wrong? The gluten free crust if good, but regular is best!

Yelp
We loved our meal here -- good food and charming dinner companions. I've wanted to come here for some time -- since reading the "Review of the Day" by Yelp Elite Henry K last year. They are not open on Sundays. So we made sure to arrange a midweek date to visit. This is a family operation -- and it shows. Service is friendly and welcoming. The ambiance is casual -- no need to dress up. We started by sharing a Rustica salad. It had artichoke hearts, olives, and prosciutto with spring mix topped with a light vinaigrette dressing. They divided this into two plates in the kitchen. This was a good appetizer whetting starter. We then shared a mushroom pizza. The hand made pizzas are small, individual sized ones that are cut into 4 large wedges. It was very good. Our friends had a pizza each -- the Margherita and a similar one but made with fresh cherry tomatoes and Buffalo cheese. Prices are not inexpensive, but are certainly well worth it for the quality of the food. I'd definitely come back here again when in the area.

Yelp
Place is AWESOME! Food 5 star. The issue is, "SOOOO LOUD". Sit outside. Very nice. Ravioli short rib 100%

Yelp
Food was quick and service was superb. We really thought the place was adorable and would be back

Yelp
This place is a total gem! the pizza is absolutely amazing and the food is all fresh and delicious. We literally go every Friday.

Joe M.

Yelp
We miss you in Delray Beach! Still worth the drive out west for the incredible pizza, sandwich and most importantly the pesto pasta! Five stars and two thumbs up.

Yelp
Me & the wife decided to try out this placed based on its reputation... and and we thought it was pretty good pizza. I got the Margherita pie & she tried the Prosciutto de Parma. I thought mine was on the great side and my wife felt her pizza was more salty than same style pizza she's had elsewhere. Either way we still thought the pizza was good enough to maybe try again sometime. SYOY!

Yelp
Took my daughter and mother in law for dinner there Saturday night. I have been there several times over the years with my husband and always enjoyed our dinner. But this time, service was bad and even worse the pizzas were not cooked properly. We ordered the meatball appetizer which was great. Their sauce is fresh and delicious but the pizzas were not cooked properly. My mother in law ordered a margherita pizza and it was a soggy mess. Literally sitting in a push of liquid. When I brought it to the attention of our waitress, she was full of excuses as to what did we expect because she ordered extra cheese. It was our fault! She was dismissive to us and downright unpleasant. At that point we just wanted to quickly leave. The other pizzas were better but not up to their usual standard. I will steer clear of this restaurant with so many other options to choose from on ur area.

Yelp
I would normally call and try to speak to the owner but the numbers I call, seems like nobody answers the phone. I felt that they may read this. My girlfriends and I planned a Thursday happy hour cause they had a happy hour advertisement flyer. ( I did attach to this review) When we got there the man said I don't think we do that. We asked to ask and he did and they said no. We were there already so we stayed. I feel as an owner it should have been addressed a little better than NO. It is the owners responsibility to make sure they honor it, make some accommodations and /or make sure they take down any and all flyers. We even showed the flyer to him. The food is very good IMO and service is better than most these days. Just a hope they add a little better customer service on how to handle a situation like that for the future in this area.

Yelp
One of the best sandwich shops maybe the best in the city of Pompano Beach. Always fresh, plenty of meat or whatever filling you choose. Not cheap but worth every penny. My only complaint is they're not open on the weekend. Looking for a great sub, D'sub is your stop.

Jose N.

Yelp
Real Italian pizza! A jewel in Coral Springs. The owners are running the place and know what great pizza is all about.

Yelp
Some of the best most authentic pizza! Definitely worth the visit! I've been here several times and will return again!

Yelp
Food was amazing!! We've traveled across the US & this has been one of the most flavorful and best Pizzas we've had. Excellent food, amazing staff & great service! I can't wait to be back!

Yelp
This Neapolitan pizza joint offers stone oven pies that are worth the mouth-joy. I went for a more Sicilian styled pizza with potato and pancetta (bacon hybrid). Scuola Vecchia does not disappoint!
google avatar

Henry K.

Yelp
We had the Delray Beach location of Scuola Vecchia on our "to do" list for quite a while, but never seemed to have the opportunity to get there. So happy their new location is only two miles from our home! We ordered two pizzas from them and picked them up in a Covid-safe environment. We now know why they are so highly rated! We are former New Yorker's with a very specific pizza crust expectation. Thin, but not floppy. Crispy, but not burnt. But at Scuola Vecchia, the crust was soft and thin. Not floppy, nor burnt. It was, I have decided, heavenly soft, both chewy and tasty. In a word, perfect. It was so good, we wanted to order again that same week. Sadly, but understood, and something I will not hold against them, they are closed on Sunday's. But not a problem, there are six other days in the week!

Yelp
We're always in this plaza and decided to give this restaurant a try! When we walked up there was only one other person eating there and a couple employees standing around. When I looked at the menu I realized why....$25 for what they call a "personal"'sized pizza? We got the delray and the truffle flavor was just right, enough to taste it but not overpowering. The dough was also fresh and warm. The pizza was good. But not $25 good. My wife also got a Fresca salad and she said it was the best she's ever had. Fresh ingredients and a perfect balsamic glaze. I'm also a weirdo who asks for olive oil to dip my crusts in (try it) and most places just bring out a little cup, which does the job! But this place brought me a whole bottle. Appreciate that! Our waiter was great! The restaurant had a very cool vibe to it, but walking into an empty restaurant always makes me feel like " maybe we shouldn't be here either...". Lastly, there was country music playing the whole time...seems like an odd pairing for an Italian restaurant Anyways, in my wife's words "it was expensive, but we'll definitely be going back..." because she was a BIG fan of the pizza and salad.

Yelp
Can't deal with the extremely loud music. The food was great but the dining experience was not at all pleasant this past Saturday. It was so loud that we pretty much just pointed at the menu for our orders because we could not make ourselves understood over the music. We skipped appetizers and dessert, and just ate the bare minimum to get away from the noise. The leftovers were good when we got home. Maybe we will try again sometime when we know there won't be crazy loud music.

Yelp
We tried two of the pizzas, the Regina Margherita and the Keste'. The Regina Margherita ($12) was just like its Italian namesake, using imported buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil, with fresh cherry tomatoes. The Keste' ($20) adds Prosciutto di Parma, Arugula, and shaved Gran Cru Pecorino cheese. If we are strictly talking real Pizza Napoletana, these are the true expression of pizza perfection. The crust is soft, pliable, and there is only the amount of sauce and cheese and other toppings needed for a single diner's meal. You could even say these pizzas are ethereal, light -- a term that is not often used with American-style pizza. Yes, these pies cost more than their local counterparts. But understand that the Aloisios aren't taking any shortcuts, and they are using the highest quality ingredients possible. They aren't allowed to take any shortcuts if they expect to keep that APN certification. Including the imported Caputo 00 flour, which is used to make the dough, only uses real San Marzano tomatoes and Italian mozzarella di bufala. They also make their own mozzarella and burrata cheese onsite. Besides an extensive menu of various white and red sauce pizzas with many toppings using authentic imported Italian ingredients, they cook with as many locally sourced ingredients as possible, such as their seafood. The menu features a selection of antipasti (small plates), and they make Sicilian rice balls (arancini) in-house. Fresh pasta is also made on-site, by Sharon Aloisio herself -- but only one variant, Fettuccine (and as Lasagne noodles). Panini sandwiches using bread baked from the pizza dough and imported Italian salumi and salads are also offered, along with a highly curated wine list and a selection of desserts, such as affogato (espresso coffee with gelato ice cream). The Aloisios pride themselves on being highly specialized as a Pizza Napoletana restaurant. So while you might not get the breadth of entrees here as you might get at another Italian restaurant in Coral Springs and Parkland, you will get the most authentic Italian pizza experience possible. For those who like to dine al fresco, the restaurant has outdoor seating for up to 40 people.

Yelp
One of our favorite restaurants in Parkland. We come here often and always look forward to it. They have a really nice selection of Italian wines and all the pizzas are great. We rarely deviate from our usual order which is the polpette appetizer, the prosciutto e arugula and a margarheta pizza. If you're anywhere in Parkland or close by, this is a must try!
google avatar

Yelp
OMG!!!!!!!!!!! This place is bomb.com! First, this pizza is personal size- so be prepared for that--- not your American bigger than everything pizza to feed a group or small army. As I like to call them- personal pizzas The most tender thin crust pizza perfectly cooked! I got the Regina Margherita pizza which is award winning and I can see why! The best Italian Food is made with like 5 basic ingredients and this pizza embodies just that. Mozzarella cheese, fresh tomatoes, simple pizza sauce, fresh basil. Each and every ingredient came to the party and was able to be tasted in its own right equally- perfectly balanced basically. The food came so quick! I feel like I literally ordered my pizza and like 4 minutes and it was ready . The "00" flour btw is what makes this wonderfully chewy dough. And if you like to spice it up just a bit, I highly recommend the house made spicy olive oil I sat on the patio which was beautiful and properly spaced for COVID. Staff was wearing masks the entire time I was there. Their wine list is simple but powerful. Their Pinot Grigio by the glass was a nice refreshing start. But then I converted to the montepulciano- perfect for those who like Pinot noir/Sangiovese and do not want to purchase the bottle. Service was super nice and very attentive. They know their stuff! Please if you want a different pizza experience much closer to the original motherland come to this place! It's phenomenal!

Yelp
I am the son of Italian immigrants. All my life I grew up with my Italian heritage. When I came to Scuola Vecchia I immediately felt at home. When the food was served I was so happy. FINALLY authentic "old school" pizza. The burata was delicious the margaritas were AMAZING. The taste of brick oven flavor true to perfection. I can't tell you enough about how the service and Italian ambiance with everything on the menu was INCREDIBLE!!! Honestly a 5 start restaurant and a home away from home. La pizza era di casa. Siamo stato li felice e contenta. Non posso dire di piu. Go taste it yourself I promise you will be happy!
google avatar

Yelp
Salccicha with Broccoli Rabe. Seasonal so dont get used to it. Its is perfect combo for me. Its mild italian sausage with BR. What else do you want. Nothing I say. Ok full disclosure I know Sean and have been a fan of his pizza for the past 4 years. Met him at the Delary location. Been a fan since then. Ok with that out of the way lets talk the real stuff. How is the pizza. Pefect dough Tangy light sauce Perfect harmony of toppings Spectacular leoparding Most of all the crish , crunch and the elastic fold of the slice Try it and tell me how good it was.
google avatar

Thomas W.

Yelp
This is a pretty good spot but it's not as good as my favorite pizza spot. However, the lasagna is delicious and a portion for two for $20, well maybe not two hungry pro-wrestlers. I definitely recommend it as it has a great flavor. Presentation is a little different as it comes out covered in tasty meat sauce. Great next day too. We also got the higher end Margherita pizza for like $16. It had really tasty crust and overall was good but we thought it had a bit too much sauce. The little tomatoes were good but not great like fresh Italian tomatoes right in Italy but that's a hard comparison to match. Decor is clean, bright, and trendy but a bit cafeteria like with very open seating. Has a lot of outdoor seating which is great nowadays. Service was a bit off but it was a Friday evening and they had a good crowd. Good at filling your water and the busboy was buzzing around doing a lot of work. Bathroom has those airknife blowers but then impossible to get out without commingling with two door pulls. Just saying.
google avatar

Yelp
Very good Neapolitan pizza! We had the Regina Margherita, the Quattro Formaggi, the meatballs and the focaccia. Friendly service too
google avatar

Rebecca B.

Yelp
Delicious pizza. The crust is perfection! We got the keste'. If I lived here I'd want to try every pizza on the menu starting with the Quattro Formaggio.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
The best restaurant I've ever been to the Food was absolutely incredible. I got a pizza crisp and warm and the fettuccine Alfredo was amazing so creamy and delicious the service the best ever so kind and helpful the ambiance was so beautiful. for dessert We had the last piece of the cheesecake, which is a MUST so creamy and delicious i extremely recommend this restaurant.

Ronite I.

Yelp
I can't believe this restaurant has been open for 3 years and I haven't been here until tonight. It was completely worth the wait. There were 4 people in our party and we each ordered different pizzas. They were each so good! The flavors were amazing! The crust was light and airy but had the nice crunch! The tiramisu was the best I've ever had! Even the wine and beer were delicious! The restaurant was cozy and the owner was super sweet! We will definitely be returning. We have to make up for lost time!
google avatar

Joel T.

Yelp
The absolute best home made sauces, homemade mozzarella & genuine Italian wood fired crust. Incredible FLAVOR, perfect service. This is high end, gourmet fare at reasonable prices. You have not eaten Italian until you've eaten Scuola Veccechia "Old School" cooking.
google avatar

Lauren J.

Yelp
10/10. True Nonna cooking. I feel like I'm back in Italy it's so authentic. I'm obsessed with the meatballs, the bolognese, the arugula balsamic salad. If you don't get anything else, get the BURRATA BRUSCHETTA. Never had anything like it and I can't tell you how incredible it is. I live in MN and it's my first stop every time I visit.

Yelp
What a great place, food and service ! We are visiting from California and couldn't resist to go back and have the pizza for the second time before we go back home. Loved the food and the service was amazing ! Thanks to the chef, server and owner ! All are great people. ! Forza Juve ! ( inside joke )
google avatar

Frank C.

Yelp
By far my favorite pizza in south Florida. I'm a total pizza snob and love most kinds of pizza: New York, Sicilian, Roman, but Napoletana is my favorite, and Scuala Vecchia makes an great pie. The Regina Margherita, Kesta, and Padrino are amazing.

Jane M.

Yelp
The pizza was really terrible. It was the worst crust I've ever tasted. The crust was practically raw.
google avatar

Mark C.

Yelp
A friend told us this place was voted Best Pizza in Florida. So we went to find out if that big claim could be backed up... And it was. Absolutely for sure the best pizza we have had in Florida - and we've had a lot! The location may be unassuming but the pizza is a cut above all others. You will not be disappointed. We had the margarita and the capricciosa. Both the best ever. Don't think twice. This is where to get pizza in Parkland.

Anthony M.

Yelp
Had a great experience on a Saturday night. Ordered the meat and cheese antipasto and three pies between three people and it was so much we were took a few slices home. Wine list was limited but each choice was great. The location is very kid friendly for early dinner. The service was engaging , friendly and most importantly family operated. Highly recommend for Neapolitan style pizza. Will definitely return.

Yelp
Tonight was our third visit to Scuola Vecchia. A few observations: 1. On a Friday date night it's almost like sitting in a bright cafeteria. 2. They were playing country music. 3. Make the entrance a little more welcoming. We have seen a slight decline in the food too. We ordered a Caprese salad which came with a heaping helping of mixed greens (instead of Basil) which should never have been there. We ordered a Margarita pizza which was delicious and only had two pieces of basil. This needs to be fixed or I don't see this place lasting.
google avatar

Blake Z.

Yelp
When you thought that you've had it all in Parkland, another restaurant has popped up. Luckily for my family, there was a Italian spot right by our community, and we were craving pizza. Going in tonight, the restaurant had plenty of seating inside. Also, the interior I gotta say was absolutely stunning. For dinner we ordered 1 Stella salad and a Keste pizza pie. Moving into our meal; starting with the salad, the arugula was very fresh, balsamic well distributed, and we really enjoyed the fresh parmesan reggiano grated on top! As for the pizza, the sauce also tasted home made (although not as thick as regular pizzerias), cheese was well melted, and found Parma ham to be really tasty! Moreover, the pizzas come with this spicy chili oil (which I thought was maple syrup at first lol), was a great addition to the pie, but note a little goes a long way. As for my critiques, I thought the pizza had nice flavors, but could've used more sauce, and I also would've liked the pizza exterior on more of the Crispy side. However, I do realize that Scuola is more of an authentic Sicilian pizza spot, so this isn't just typical Italian cusiine. On the other hand, service was very friendly, and attentive. Overall, all of the food was pretty good, but I don't know if I would be frequently eating in again. I'd rate Scuola Vecchia 3.5/5 stars.
google avatar

Alyssa S.

Yelp
Pie is on Point! Wow, this place is incredible. I am a very picky pizza eater and this pizzeria knocked it out of the park. The pizza dough is light and not overwhelming which enhances all the fresh toppings. I ate the whole pizza and felt completely satisfied. I would highly recommend trying and experiencing Neapolitan Style Pizza. Thank you for opening in Coral Springs/Parkland area.

Yelp
I've been going here for a few years now but I need to finally write a review that gives this place justice. Rita is an incredibly hardworking & honest restaurant owner. I highly commend her fortitude and I am glad she now has a larger space to work in. This spot is definitely more comfortable than the Delray one was (it is much larger, first of all.) I have been going here for a few years now and I was luckily able to remain a customer throughout the location change. Very casual staff & environment, authentic Italian experience without being over-the-top fancy (actually usually it's a bad sign if a place tries too hard with the fanciness IMO). Top-of-the-line, fresh ingredients and plates made with love. Florida is missing more places like this. Places that make you feel like you're dining with a purpose instead of just throwing money down the drain. Places that make you feel like you're ACTUALLY a valued guest. Places that let you escape for a while -- not through fancy decor or theatrics, but through genuine positive energy. Come with an open mind & leave with a full stomach. And don't complain about the pizza if you have no idea what Neapolitan style means. Because FYI you won't really find New York-style pizza in Italy. And support local businesses! Especially ones owned by immigrants. Grazie di cuore per tutto ciò che fate! A presto! Calli

Yelp
The food is delicious, however they apparently don't require masks. When I was there, last week, a group of woman walked in, without masks. They walked around forever, socializing with the mask less owner, often times, next to our table. I'm sorry, but I'm not comfortable with this setup. I'll be back, if and when they get more serious.
google avatar

John H.

Yelp
Great food, great service. Used to go to delray location Contradictory to what that other guy said they've worn a mask each of the countess times I've been in the restaurant. 5 stars all around.
