Downtown Mainstay St. Paul Grill Makes a Long-Awaited Comeback Next Month | Eater Twin Cities

"I note that the Guthrie Theater is back, but its game-changing restaurant Sea Change remains dark and could be replaced after a call for proposals; the decade-old restaurant has served as a launch pad for chefs who went on to international recognition — including French Laundry alum Donald Gonzalez and Jamie Malone (now of Grand Cafe) — and the Guthrie has tapped the chef from the former Bachelor Farmer to help target a replacement tenant." - Tierney Plumb

A couple of good friends of mine introduced me to this establishment when I was visiting E-Town after a lengthy absence. It was a very nice surprise. The blackberry beer was fabulous as was the food. Great atmosphere and service!! 👍😎

Don't meet your heroes, as they say. Was a bit bummed by our experience here, as the beer is delicious (the Wolf is amazing and the experimental was more or less the same) and I thought the food was quite lovely (husband didn't love his bahn mi dip, but I loved my OG). But the service was not it. Our food didn't arrive at the same time, beers sat dry for an uncomfortably long time, a part of the meal never arrived, even after inquiring about it. The smoked caesar tasted 0% smoked. Got the missing fries removed from the bill without much fuss, but without much apology either.

This is a really cool brewery, with a laid-back vibe, nice staff, and great beer/food! 🍺👍

Great little space, had the Bahn Mi Pho Dip, basically a beef dip with pho soup broth on the side instead of au jus, probably my favourite sandwich in the city now. Also a good spot to pick up some beer to take home. The Wolf is my favourite.

No surprise why Sea Change has quickly become Edmonton’s #1 micro-brewery - all of the classics on tap and the food here is great. Lots of Vietnamese-inspired dishes, we had the pho fries and mushroom banh mi, both were incredible. My only criticism is that all of the off-market taps were IPAs. It limits your ability to try something new at the brewery if this isn’t your thing. Hoping next time they will have a more diversified selection 👌

Fantastic place to get some really great food. The spam bombs are a great snack to have with beer (salty, savoury), the green onion cake is wicked and well executed - and I’ve recently had the 5 Color vermicelli. I love Vietnamese food and eat it all the time - this was hands down the best vermicelli bowl I’ve ever had. All of the meats were perfect. Like, PERFECT. The fish sauce was bang on - not too funky and not too salty. The spring rolls were incredible. If you’re a fan of this dish, you owe it to yourself to try it out. Sundays they make a special Pho and it is AMAZING. Definitely worth a trip down on a Sunday! Super Honorable (and required) mention - I have also had the Bhan Mi Pho Dip and it was absolutely fantastic - but the 5 Color bowl….. life altering. Of course the beers are great - they’re always serving a wide range from the most “craft” to a great crushable light beer to non-alcoholic brews that are actually wicked too! The ambiance is really great - awesome local music history all over the walls and a super cool vibe overall. The service is always top shelf there too (shout out to Maddy and Lee!) Go and check it out, there’s so much more to this place than “just beers” - a real hidden Edmonton cultural gem!

Sea Change is small and pretty cozy on the inside with some cool wall art and and an overall inviting atmosphere. The Vietnamese food my partner and I had was quite delicious, and the beer was solid! I think the phries and peach prawns were my favorites, but the pho was filling and tasty. I think one thing I would note was the fries were drenched in the pho sauce, so the ones at the bottom got a bit soggy. Might be nice to have the sauce on the side! 😊

Excellent beer. For food we tried the cheeseburger nachos which could be rated the best ever. The tortilla chips are made in house and are incredibly crispy and fresh. The nachos were loaded. These people don’t mess around. Then comes the service. Kaylie our server was incapable. We left this place very happy wanting to come back.
