What a find! The weather was lovely on the weekend and we were able to sit on the terrace which was perfect! Great view of the river and nice to watch as people passed by. Friendly staff and the brunch menu had lots of good options to choose from. We had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Waffles and the Cheese Burger and I would order both again. The virgin mary I had was also on point! Would recommend if you're looking for a nice but affordable brunch spot on the river. Very keen to come back for their bottomless brunch!

Excellent service, outstanding food in taste and presentation, wonderful experience from start to finish. It was our 3rd time visiting Sea Containers although the last time was in 2021 and we had very high expectations (especially of their bread course - which is phenomenal). We were happy to see those expectations met! Loved every bite and every dish. Decor is also beautiful - you're guaranteed a wonderful evening when visiting SC.

Lovely food with a fantastic view. Service was bright and friendly. Portions were huge: starters could easily be shared. It could be said this place is a bit pricey for what you get, but the main courses were good value in a London, riverfront restaurant. Great evening for a celebration as was the bar next door. Highly recommend 👌

Burger was good, cod with chowder was very good, fries were very good, cheese croquettes were good, and the cabbage was outstanding. We had outdoor seating to ourselves with heaters, blankets and views. We saw our server once but to be fair we were told service would not be good. We will return.

I was here for an event, and have to say the service was spot on , and the food was absolutely delicious. 100% recommend and you will also love the views from the balcony , come rain or shine. As it is covered.

We had a really wonderful brunch. Visited a couple of months ago and again today - both times were excellent . Spot on for relaxing brunch! The place is big, plenty of choice for seating and we like that it’s smart but relaxed at the same time. Staff in particular were excellent, including the bartender who, noticing that we ordered a round of adult cocktails, made a ‘special’ one for our young daughter. It made her day! We left thoroughly satisfied and will be back again soon.

Super cool and modern vibes with very attentive service. Amazing view of the Thames. Junior suite room was huge even by American standards. Bedding and curtains helped with the best sleep of our trip. Sounds weird to say but the water station was amazing and delish! We walked everywhere easily.

We stopped in for a quick lunch and was pleasantly greeted by Carolina from Brazil . She was very helpful , fun , honest and professional . Husband and I both had the chicken club . It was very tender and tasty . Too full for dessert now off for walk down the Thames .

Came here with a group of coworkers and it was a great choice for a large party. The views along the Thames are beautiful and the space is modern and stylish. I shared the sea bass with a coworker and the portion was generous. The food was good, but nothing mind-blowing. Drinks were solid with a big selection, though definitely on the pricier side, which is expected in central London. Service was attentive and friendly. There's also a rooftop bar upstairs, which is perfect for post-dinner drinks. Great atmosphere and location overall.

Underwhelming and overpriced. Worst meal in London and too add insult to injury it was marked as a "special" dinner for a birthday. Should have just gone to the pub next door. I chose this place for a birthday dinner since we were coming from the Globe. With good reviews and a decent menu I booked and selected for a birthday. The ambience is solid and the view nothing spectacular. The "biscuits" were not as light as you'd expect and the cheese croquettes were bland (sauce saved it). The BBQ chicken was well cooked but the sauce was heavy on ketchup. The chips/fries were the tastiest thing. Have marked birthday I got a filled pastry shell with whipped cream. I've had far better meals at half the price in DC, Boston, and Amsterdam. The service was the best part and similar to that in the US, boarding on annoying especially with the singing and crappy desert. This is a skip

Long story short, I was craving an actual Thanksgiving meal because I'm from CA, and so we tried to find a last minute Thanksgiving lunch and found Sea Containers! I had never really hard of this restaurant before so I wasn't sure what to expect -- but the meal was delicious! The turkey, especially, was great. We also agreed that the portion size was generous given the cost!

We were staying at the hotel and didn't have a reservation for the restaurant. Hostess was accommodating and was able to squeeze us in for dinner as walk ins. Food was good. Ambiance was nice. If you're staying at the hotel, not a bad idea to give it a try.

This place wasn't nothing special . Food was very plain and need more flavor . Service was just ok not great . I wasn't to impressed specially because the other places in this hotel are amazing . We had potato soup , some crab toast , salmon appetizer ( wasn't to bad ) and side macaroni ( which for me was the best thing and did had flavor ) . Music was kind of boring and it kind of took our energy .. This food needs more flavor for sure ! Hopefully it gets better since their location is so nice !

Let's start from the top, I walked in well before they opened and there were two staff members preparing for the day ahead at the host station. Both were accommodating and polite and invited me to return when they open at noon. Upon my return, one of the ladies I had met earlier, welcomed me to my table and immediately offered to retrieve a drink for me. Looking at the food menu there were plenty of great options making it difficult to choose just one, so I didn't do that. I choose three options. I started with a bowl of flavorful New England style chowder and the bone marrow appetizer. The manager came to my table and we got in to a delightful conversation about the economics of the restaurant industry both here in Britain and back in the US. Once my food arrived which, looked amazing, he was quick to point out that I should enjoy my food while it was hot and that we could chat more after. The chowder and marrow were delicious and properly prepared. The manager came back and asked if I would like some bread as well -being a glutton for food I absolutely approved! The bread was oven hot and was a delicious addition. After finishing my starters, I ordered the burger with French fries that came promptly and plated beautifully. At the core of who I am as an American I love burgers, I know burger -we are basically hamburgers lol... anyhow, the burger and fries were perfectly tasty. Before I continue, when I say "finished" I didn't "finish" the whole plate I was finished eating that segment. The food was so good I had to try as much as possible and would otherwise be unable to eat all of this if I were made to literally finish the food... Anyhow, needless to say but, I was now prepared for dessert. Typically, I go straight for brownies and ice cream and that was actually on the menu however, the manager pitched to me the pistachio ice cream and roasted pineapple dessert, far and away from my comfort zone. When it arrived, it was plated purposefully and beautifully two things sometime hard to execute simultaneously but, they nailed it. It was pleasantly light, and an interesting composition of flavors that really worked. I did in fact literally finish this plate. If I could give this place more stars I would. I loved it here. Thank you to wonderful staff and the charming and witty manager. Their efforts are well served -I highly highly recommend.

Overall the food quality and taste was good. The service though took a bit of time and it wasn't even that busy, we kept having to chase for drinks and water. Interior decor was really cool.

I was a guest of the Mondrian and decided to have dinner at Sea Containers. We came in for our 10:30pm reservation on a night that wasn't very busy. Unfortunately, our server appeared completely uninterested and the food left much to be desired. The presentation was absolutely lacking, from the cocktails to the way each dish was plated. How could any self-respecting chef send out food that looked that plain or messy? The fried chicken was overcooked, to the point that it was tough, chewy and inedible. There was no sign of any avocado in the crab toast, the porchetta was overpowered by the anchovy, making it also inedible, there was almost no dressing on the salad. The skirt steak was well prepared, but definitely lacked in flavor, especially for something that is supposed to have Cajun seasoning. I haven't the faintest idea why this place has four stars. The atmosphere is stunning, but the service and the the food just do not measure up. I would not recommend this restaurant for food. For drinks, it's a great spot. For dinner...no. We were gravely disappointed.

Came to Sea Containers for a refreshing adult beverage. Got sorta lost looking for Lyaness and ended up here. So, what did I do... Pulled up a seat and ordered a glass of prosecco. I didnt have any food, so my experience here is very limited (which is why the rating is 3 stars). The service was OK. One thing I found interesting is if you start a tab they lock your CC in a box. Pretty neat way to show some level of security with your info. OK hotel bar. If I were in the area id come back again, but I wouldnt go out of my way.

We decided to have a late brunch at Sea Containers following our quick check-in at the hotel. Service was disorganized from the start. We were seated outside where service went from bad to worse. Our table was wobbly, and our server took his sweet time trying to fix it after we pointed it out to him. Instead of adjusting the wobble with a folded up piece of cardboard or paper, he decided that it was best to adjust the table itself, then once that failed, used a bottle cap that still did not quite level the surface and he thought it was good enough. No, dude. It wasn't. Back to the server - he was rather unfriendly and gave a general air of ineptitude. His tone was unpleasant and flippant - clearly did not want to work today. Our cocktails were served to us an eternity later, and our server realized we were without the requested water at this time. Whilst pouring our water, he also proceeded to pour it all over the table. Half-mopped it up while saying it wasn't his fault. The food eventually arrived - steak and eggs were satisfactory but the tomato flatbread was anemic at best. How do you cook dough through to the point where you need a steak knife to cut it and yet still have it taste of raw flour? The tomatoes on the flatbread were violently under seasoned, and there was no evidence of cheese whatsoever. I had higher expectations. Lots of brunch-type chicks post photos of this place and I had pleasant experiences with the hotel in the past. Deeply disappointed. When we expressed less than glowing impressions of the food, our server had no interest in fixing this, and disappeared yet again. 2/5 because 1/5 would mean an actual flaming car crash.

After hearing a lot of great things about this place, I had been waiting to try this restaurant for a while and finally got the chance when I came here for a birthday dinner and lets just say that it was well worth the wait! The nautical themed decor is stylishly impressive with a copper-clad hull that guides you through to the restaurant. On show is a wood-fired oven and at the centre of the restaurant there's a classy steel bar designed to reflect an American diner. All of which are complimented with the wonderful views of the Thames. The restaurant is a nice blend of American/British maritime culture which is also reflected in the varied menu on offer. Although dinnertime is the busiest period for the restaurant they also offer bottomless brunches at the weekend for Prosecco and Bloody Marys at reasonable prices. A great brunch option to take a group of friends and an excellent excuse to get the drinking started early at the weekend! On to the food and it is obvious given the name of the restaurant that the menu would be focused on fish dishes and something that I was looking forward to trying. We started with the cerviche and raw scallops and as we wanted to try so many things we opted for the seafood platter offering a selection of oysters, crab, brill ceviche, scallops and poached shrimps. All of which was so deliciously fresh it was as if it had just come out of the sea that morning. All washed down with a few tasty Kentucky Elixirs, one of the many interesting cocktails to choose from. Dessert was a combination of chocolate lava cake, vanilla ice cream and banana & passion fruit cheesecake. A lot I know, but it was my birthday! All of which tasted great and finished off a great meal. Now this place is quite pricey but the food and decor were impeccable and I'll certainly be coming back to sample more and try their bottomless brunch. If you're looking for a venue for a special occasion dinner or just in the area and hungry or out for drinks then look no further!

Yes, it's pricey here but was pleasantly surprised with the food. Highly recommend the pork chop. Very big portion and can be shared. Side dishes were also nice. Staff were very attentive and very helpful with the menu, giving Right recommendations. Overall good experience.

Four stars for ambiance but only three stars for the food. And I am being generous. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and yes, it's like being in a high end modern cruise ship that you'll never get a chance to visit! So all that to say, the food was not to standard. It's a sharing menu with both large and small plates but it's really just a bunch of starters and mains trying to get on trend with the ridiculousness that is now all about sharing. Sharing a roast turkey? But of course! Although you need at least two people. You can even share a cheeseburger but how this works in practice is beyond me. The waiter wasn't much help either. When we asked how many dishes to order he told us he would tell us to stop when we had ordered too much. Or we could just treat the menu like a normal one. Not helpful. We opted for a hybrid approach: share the small plates, get your own big plate. The fried chicken was lightly fried but under seasoned. The ceviche tacos were fresh and light. Enjoyable but hardly amazing. The biggest joke was the avocado and feta salad which was just a deconstructed avocado toast. You get a plate with a large circular round of smashed avocado, globs of feta mousse and pretty edible flowers. Oh, and a side of toasted bread. A joke of a dish. I had the halibut which was totally over seasoned with salt. I spent the rest of the day trying to placate my thirst with water. If you're looking for a way to get dehydrated, for a long period of time, this is the way to go. The place is pretty. I wouldn't want to be here on a Friday or Saturday night as I suspect it's completely form over function. It was bad enough for lunch. If all you want is some nice ambience, it's great but if you want decent food, there are so many other options at this price point.

Maybe my expectations are too American, but as I write this review, I've been waiting 15 minutes for the bill, when all six of the rest of my party have left... While I appreciate not being rushed, this level of inattentiveness is really unacceptable in a fine restaurant. The food was fine, but nothing to write home about... the summer Salad with avocado foam was particularly tasty, as was the pan fried halibut, but nothing else from the dozen dishes we ordered was memorable. The sommelier was helpful and the wine list and drinks menu are wonderful. Stick with the bar at this hotel and go elsewhere for dinner... there are plenty of better options.

It's always nice to dine by the river. Even if you don't get a good seat to see the view, the thought of it being right next to you makes the experience feel more romantic. Sea Containers itself is a stunning restaurant and will fail to mesmerise someone upon entering. A lovely bright looking restaurant with floor to ceiling windows allowing the view of the Thames as you dine. Seating varied from wide dark wooden tables for couples to larger groups and half cylindrical sofa seating for more intimate dining. Everything was nicely spaced as the restaurant was big. With it's themed to the golden age of transatlantic travel, the back of the restaurant leading to the toilets was designed like a ship with it copper walls. Toilets were beautiful and extremely classy being dark and sleek. I started my meal with a bottomless House Bloody Mary. It was nice and refreshing, sour with hints of sweetness and a good kick of spice. Shaved mushrooms. My first experienced of raw mushrooms but it definitely won't be my last. The cremini mushrooms was a lovely delicate texture being soft and bouncy on the teeth, light earthy flavour as well as butter and hint of garlic and lemon. The sweet and sour notes were nicely balanced by the Idiazábal cheese as well as giving it depth and a richer taste. Delicious! Burrata Lovely fresh milky stretchy burrata served with toasted sourdough, butternut squash purée and a leafy vinaigrette salad. The flavours were light yet sweet and against the cool burrata it created a nice refreshing milky taste. I enjoyed every bite and letting everything infuse through the abundance of textures. Maldon oyster and rock oysters Both oysters were plump and fresh, served with mignonette and cocktail sauce. The cocktail sauce made added a taste of creaminess and sweetness which was a very unusual accompaniment, a bit too strong and overpowering for me but some may find it enjoyable if they are not particularly fond of the texture of oysters but feeling brave. Roasted corn fed chicken for two It was served with all the trimmings that including roast vegetables and gigantic Yorkshire puddings. One of the best roast chicken I've had in London. The chicken was sublime, simple seasoning but flavoursome all the way to the bone, naturally sweet being corn fed and extremely juicy and tender. The vegetables were nice and colourful, all very fluffy, soft and fragrant and Yorkshire pudding were still light and airy even being slightly over baked. Roast chicken at its best served with shallot relish, gravy and a pickled green chilli relish. As much as I enjoyed my experience at Sea Containers I did think their menu lacked creativity. Their dishes were quite generic and wasn't worth the price they were charging especially when I know I can go somewhere else and get the same dish at a more reasonable price. I just have to sacrifice the view. Been given the name "Sea Containers" I found it strange that their seafood option was very limited too. However for what it is now it is still very good especially if you're looking for a decent Sunday Roast. Service was friendly and efficient, even making sure you got your napkin back as many times as you drop it. One staff even came back offering ice with my partner's whisky after he heard we were worried it would dilute our drink. He informed us they have slow melting ice which keeps the drink cold without diluting it's flavour. Very kind of him. Sadly even after all that, I do not see the need to return any time soon. There is so much competition in London and so many better options in the nearby areas, It's more for a one off dining experience as none of the dishes made a big enough impact.

We stayed at the Mondrian. It was rather lovely and surprisingly spacious for a hotel in London, while not costing an arm and a leg. The mister likes to visit in-hotel restaurants when he's travelling; partly because of convenience, partly because they are usually better than the shitty continental breakfast you get at a chain US hotel. Sea Containers has a fantastic atmosphere, with posh furniture and a view out to the Thames. Location-wise, it's great. The brunch menu is classic breakfast with a contemporary twist. You can get your egg sammies and parfaits, as well as indulge in the latest toast inventions. I had the polenta with a side of black sausage. I seriously love all variations of black sausage but there simply isn't many places in the US that offers it. (Try the Taiwanese version! It's delicious). This one was ok- a bit too oily but fried well. The polenta was decently creamy, and came in a rather large portion for my appetite. All-in-all I think everyone had a good time but the food wasn't spectacular. If you are around the neighbourhood, I do recommend it as it is a nice comfy place to hang with a few friends.

In a nutshell, the food is amazing! I visited Sea Containers at the Mondrian with my work colleagues for a special team lunch, our boss's treat for the whole team. We wanted to go to a nice restaurant and we were not disappointed. The service was brilliant and our waitress was very attentive and helpful, always trying to make sure we were happy with everything. We decided to pick a wine with a small sharing plate of cheese, sourdough and cooked peppers to start with, then got individual starters. Both the mushroom soup and kale salad were great, the soup having a rich warming taste and the salad feeling fresh and healthy. For the main course we shared the sea bream and the chicken platters, with a selection of sides. Whole everything was very tasty the dishes that stood out were the chicken which was definitely of the best I've had (distinct smoked taste with a hint of lemon) as well as the sprouts which were cooked in a mind spicy sauce. The baby potatoes with the skin on were also brilliant. For desert we had the lava cake and the ice lollies with our coffee, the cake being a favourite compared to the ice lollies which we had not realised that they would have sorbet inside. Still, I quite liked anyway. I absolutely loved the whole meal, it did feel like a treat and considering the price tag which must have come to nearly £200 for four people I must admit it was a meal worth paying for. I would recommend going for the full shebang for special occasions, celebrating something important etc but if you wanted something small and you can spare about £10 each it's absolutely worth it getting the chicken shared platter and some wine as it's delicious!

Dropped in on a busy Sunday afternoon after a walk along the South Bank as the menu offered looked enticing with a view of the Thames to boot. Friendly reception and the staff, throughout the entire visit, were extremely helpful and friendly. My partner ordered Eggs Benedict (described as "average", toast hard but eggs and sauce nice) and we both thought the bellinis we ordered were a little on the "short" side (see photo, taken before we had a sip!), especially given the £12.50/glass price tag. They do offer a "bottomless" Prosecco but it is only for 2hrs and it is £16 per head (better for groups, not ideal for 2 looking for a lighter lunch). My two starters that I ordered, on the other hand, were very good (though they came before my partner's meal even though we requested food to come together). I had a shaved mushroom and cheese starter as well as oven roasted lamb meatballs and they were extremely tasty and filling. They also offer standard Sunday roasts which looked and smelled amazing but they only serve them as a "shared" menu item i.e. You pay in the region of £50-£60 for a roast that serves 2-3. Not ideal if people want different roasts but, the portions looked HUGE and we noticed everyone tucking in with gusto. Lovely cosy blankets which came in handy as it was quite windy the day we visited and well placed overhead heaters which they offered to turn on if you were cold. Service and friendliness of staff - 5/5 Great location especially if you bag a seat outside in pleasant weather (and tables are well spaced) but food could have been better, especially given London prices, and I think "bottomless" offer is a bit misleading (even though 2hr limit is explained in smaller print in menu). Call it what it is - 2hrs of Prosecco for £16/head.

Based at Mondrian London hotel located on the South Bank, Sea Containers restaurant offers a variety of dishes and a view of the river. Plenty to choose from on the menu: from yuzu ceviche to burger. Frankly it's quite uneasy to define the food theme, although the restaurant run by a chef from New York describes itself as "the best of England and America". But this didn't stop me from enjoying quality full of flavour food with ingredients farmed from the local Borough market. The menu is designed to be shared. Succulent grilled octopus with celeriac salad adding a matching acidity to the starter, followed by a roasted sea bass with caramelised vegetables for main, and yummy home-made cookies for pudding. The restaurant is open without any break between lunch and dinner. Try entering from the hotel's main entrance at the back of the building to see a quirky ship-theme design of the lobby. Informal setting, lots of tables available overlooking the riverside through tall windows, large bar area. On the downside, prices for à la carte are above average. I had the grilled seabream. The presentation was stellar: three small pieces of seabream, skin up, placed on top of the parsnips next to the brown shrimp butter, all on a grey tray which resembles the color and texture of the skin of the fish. The taste was just as good: tender fish with crisp skin and flavorful sides to go along with it, full of umami.

Great food and service. I recommend stay at the hotel as well. It's well situated in the middle of London.

Fantastic place to stop for lunch. Farm to table deliciousness, great people watching and views of the Thames.

I am so happy we decided to have dinner at Sea Containers today, it's downstairs in our hotel at the Mondrian. Everything was just so darn good! I went here 3 weeks ago and was lucky enough to be taken out for a meal. The food was incredible and one thing that absolutely needs to be tried are the peppers. They are the most amazing peppers I've ever tasted. They come as a side dish together with the main course. The chicken breast main course is also exquisite and needs to be tasted. The other great thing here is the view over the Thames. Try to get a window seat so you get the best view and watch the boats sail by as you eat your food. Once you're done eating head over to the Dandelyon bar where they have some amazing cocktails. Actually they got voted cocktail bar of the year so it's hardly surprising that the drinks are so tasty. They have a bar called rumpus rooms upstairs which we didn't get time to check out but they have a great view from the rooftop so hopefully will be trying this next time.

Amazing Mac & Cheese with braised beef! The best I've had in a very, very long time (and I come from the land of Mac & Cheese!).

Went to visit for the first time Saturday 9th June. Must say a limited menu, but the food was fantastic. Had my 11yo son with us and he said the burger was the best he had ever had. Reasonable sized portions, cooked to perfection. Service was excellent. Food not cheap, and if you want a quick bite on a budget this is not the place to go. Would def recommend very highly and will return

Great atmosphere in both bars. For the adventurous cocktails drinkers, check out their botanic cocktails menu. If food is more your thing then def. try out their steak which is yum. Great choices cocktails/drinks and food with amazing view of the river. Btw they customise your cocktails to suit your taste which I find really amazing :)

As a guest staying at the Mondrian, I was curious about the Sea Containers restaurant. We decided to stop in for lunch and I'm glad we did! I tried the signature dish: shaved mushrooms and I added the grilled chicken. It was delicious! I also had some of the truffle mac and cheese, but it didn't compare to the shaved mushrooms. I tried a passion fruit drink which was sublime! I asked the waitress twice for the name of it, but I didn't catch it because of the accent (and I didn't want to seem rude and ask a third time). The service was excellent! And we had a lovely view of the Thames. Definitely worth the visit!

Fantastic place for celebrations. I took my mother here today and we ordered various small dishes for tasting: shaved mushrooms, truffle Mac and cheese, raw clams, mussels, and lamb meat balls-the mussels and shaved mushrooms being my favourite. I was hoping to taste more of the clams rather than having it in sweet (Asian) sauce. The truffle Mac and cheese was alright, a little too soft with mild truffle taste. And the lamb meatballs were very tasty. All in all, it was a great experience, the service too. Knowing it is my mother's birthday, they spoilt her with a small dessert too, which made her very happy. I would definitely come back again. The view is stunning!! Would love to try out other dishes the next time I visit.

Have heard a lot about this place, but only recently are here. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great and the service was generally really slow. Got a mushroom starter which my partner enjoyed, but I found a bit odd because the mushrooms were uncooked and in truffle oil. I had the pappardelle for a main course, and it was really quite bland. I don't think there was much, if any, seasoning. Would have been much better with some pepper. Don't know about dessert since it took our server about 5 minutes to get the menus to us and by then, we had already spent more than 1.5 hours at the restaurant and were in the mood to leave.

Unfortunately I was feeling extremely delicate the day I visited so did not get to try anything on the menu (the seafood appetisers looked good, but nothing would have been worse for my stomach). Our delightful server sympathetically offered me a Bloody Mary, then escalated her suggestion to "hot milk" as the lunch wore on. Through the pain I greatly enjoyed the expansive views of the Thames via the floor to ceiling windows and in general the bar/restaurant has an elegant restaurant. It was surprisingly quiet but not lacking in atmosphere. I also enjoyed the entrance to the loos which is through a kind of copper hole. I was extremely impressed with the service which was unfailingly friendly and attentive. Finally, my friends enjoyed their food (lamb flatbread and burger). They have large plates including a whole chicken for about £40 - the idea is that 3 or 4 will share. I would definitely come back - it's a great location and not outrageously priced - I think parents/visitors would especially enjoy it given the views and combination of unusual and upmarket.

Great drinks and views. Enjoyed the burrata small plate, truffled Mac and cheese, the ceviche, octopus salad and the knickerbocker. All while overlooking the Thames.

Pretty expensive and definitely trendy, but the food was good. Even on a rainy day the vibe atmosphere was convivial. The views of the river and people walking the South Bank were also worth the price of admission. Definitely didn't feel local or distinctly London, but it worked for a friendly brunch.

This restaurant is modern, busy and noisy, playing loud lounge music, located in a good spot down by the river. I was hungry, so I chose the sharing plate from the grill, a complete ROASTED MEDITERRANEAN SEA BASS with citrus and salsa verde. No problem finishing that one; very tasty, fresh and juicy. Rounded off with a blueberry meringue pie with lemon sorbet. It was OK, but nothing special. The service was efficient, friendly and talkative. Nice view when it got dark.

Lovely ambiance, but disappointing food and cheerful but juvenile service make this a place to absolutely skip, given the choice. If you're staying in the hotel, possibly the convenience will outweigh the slimy salmon and cold frites, but there's nothing to be done about servers who have not been trained (although they try their best to be very friendly) and bartenders who don't know that you do not put dry vermouth into a manhattan. Many, many, many lovely restaurants within a short distance, and because the food here is so outrageously priced, you could take a cab somewhere else, have a far lovelier meal, and come out ahead. For cocktails this place can be fun, but for dinner it's an embarrassing disaster. (Make sure you specify that a manhattan has no dry vermouth.)

I had high expectations for the mastermind behind Tertulia, a restaurant I had heard of often in NY but never went to. Upon entering the restaurant you can see how beautiful and spacious the interior is, made to mimic an seaside elements. As we perused the menu, we were delighted to see many exciting dishes. We ordered the Yuzu Ceviche, the Charred Eggplant, Shaved Mushroom, Kale, and Sausage Flatbread. We were excited about everything initially but we noticed quickly some of the dishes were salted too heavily, especially the mushroom dish. The kale salad was drenched in dressing which overwhelmed the other ingredients. Fortunately when we mentioned it to our waiter, he gave us dessert on the house. The desserts easily were the best part of the meal The Pear Crumble Souffle with custard and the Apple Sorbet with Green Tea Ice Cream were delicious and unique. Perhaps we would come here again for another chance. Our first visit fell short, but there is a lot of potential for the restaurant to be amazing.

This place has an amazing view and food is well prepared. The only reason I'm giving it a low rating is because I clearly told the waitress I didn't eat dairy and my fish was cocked with butter and came with a Cauliflower mash with butter! I was by myself and the service was terrible, I don't think the waitress came more than 2 times to check on me. The manager couldn't care less of the situation.

I come here for breakfast out of sheer convenience. Take the elevator down... I've tried the Avocado Toast on Charred Toast and added an egg for an additional £1.50, The Egg Sammy, and Granola Parfait. My favorite is the avocado toast, so much that I ordered it day after day. We sat by the window and enjoyed the view while having breakfast. My friend did too.

I had my hopes high visiting sea containers. I'd heard great reviews and friends had recommended the food highly. However, I was extremely disappointed. We ordered the rib, fried chicken, and peppers. The peppers were bland and, well, just peppers. The chicken was quite lovely, but it seemed like they only used offcuts. The worst was the rib. Fatty, lacking in seasoning, and just underwhelming. The meal was aggressively mediocre. The wine we chose was lovely, but extremely expensive. They are obviously making a fair few bob on the bottles. The worst part, by fair, was the service. Our waiter was dismissive, obnoxious, and just put a damper on the night. He attempted to correct our wine selection (we didn't choose a great pairing, but we knew what we wanted), he was dismissive and flippant when we made a comment on how fatty the meat was, and even after all that he asked for an extra tip on top of the 12.5% service charge. To top this off, I was even pushed by another waiter. I really wanted to like sea containers. It's a shame that it wasn't better. For £160 for two, there are hundreds of better places to eat in London with similar, if not better views.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Go somewhere else, if you actually like to have a nice time and be treated with some respect. I had a lot of time to think and write this since we waited an ungodly amount of time for proper service... -maybe it's asking too much to be talked to by the staff more than twice -maybe the waiter was too busy setting up other tables and getting other table's orders he forgot about us -maybe they are understaffed -maybe the place has a ONE alcoholic drink limit per guest, so they don't come back until the bill -maybe the management have a two visit policy for American guests -maybe the management do not have hospitality policy -maybe it's rude that the table next was asked to move because they overbooked their table...after being served their drinks and ordered food -maybe its very curious that the other tables were attended to more than us -maybe it was weird that I overhead a guest call out the Hostess for being rude and unprofessional -maybe it's rude that the hostess just walked away, without an apology -maybe unprofessional is normal for this restaurant -maybe I had way too much time observing because we waited an ungodly amount of time for the waiter, the manager, the staff or anyone from the restaurant to attend to us, make eye contact, talk to us, walk our way...you know, the common stuff that occurs at decent restaurant -maybe I'm overreacting -maybe I'm asking too much to be treated with a little bit of respect -maybe my expectations are too high -maybe the management team forgot that their teams actions are a reflection of their establishment and their city -maybe they don't care -maybe the owners and management should read this review and improve their service -maybe they will -maybe they won't -BUT maybe if you're thinking of going here, DON'T

This was a great meal. In London from the states and Sea Containers didn't let us down. Very fresh - crab avacado toast was exceptional. The burgers are also fantastic.

Great place for outside dining, right on the Thames. Great atmosphere, good service and tasty food. Bathrooms were cool too :-). Priced right!

What can I say about the awesome service we have received here. Mihail, the bartender, was so helpful, friendly and inviting that we came back again. When there are so many great places to go and you do a repeat, it tells you how good it is!!

I just want to keep going here for the crab on toast! Seriously couldn't get enough! Bone marrow, and steak, delicious. Chef came out and sat down to say hi. He is hot! Amazing food, and great for weekend brunch.

Trendy vibe with riverfront view. Food is served sharing style and we were pleasantly surprised at the speed at which the food arrived. Lots of veg options; the winter flatbread and crispy Brussels sprouts were great and the lamb meatballs were a crispy, baked delight.

I was staying in the hotel and this is the breakfast restaurant. I had the buffet each day. Hot Buffett - Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Cumberland Sausage, Mushrooms, Roasted Tomato. Cold Selection - Cold meats (Ham, Turkey, Salami,) Cheeses, Tomato. Cereals, yoghurts, berries, fruit. Its quite a big room, with a large bar in the centre. I liked the interior decor which I'd put between Art Deco, and steampunk, but really its all about the view. Large continuous windows give a great view of the River Thames over toward a decommissioned warship. Service was fine, I note a previous comment that the service was not great - when I was there the waiters were ALL were Italian. I'm not sure why, but thats what it was. Very friendly, talkative, but I noticed I had to get their attention to be served. For that reason I started sitting nearer to the serving station to be easily seen. As far as the food goes, I haven't had better bacon anywhere! it was lovely. The quality of the rest was ok. It wasn't a huge range, but it was certainly adequate for me. I didn't see any Asian options so be prepared for an English breakfast. I think all in all, I'd say better than breakfast in a big chain hotel, but maybe its not 'fine dining'. I'd eat there again even not staying at the hotel. Oh..... the Bloody Mary is excellent!

All I can say is - wow! Top notch restaurant. From the cocktails and wine list to the dishes. Even the espresso was perfect. I took the standard martini and olives as a starter, followed by sliced field mushrooms with hangar steak and truffel mac n cheese. The mushrooms were a unique experience well played, and the truffel mac orgasmic. Cocktails were very well done... And did I mention, it is farm to table? Beautiful location on the river. Come here for a special evening.
