"Situated opposite the Maschio Angioino (Castel Nuovo) in Naples, this restaurant was opened by a pasta producer from nearby Gragnano, making it the perfect choice for pasta-lovers. Sit at a sushi-style counter watching the chefs at work and choose from a menu that is dedicated almost entirely to pasta dishes (as well as desserts), most of which are based on traditional recipes. When ordered individually, the dishes are generously portioned; however, for a more complete overview, opt for the tasting menu which includes more courses but smaller quantities." - Michelin Inspector

My sister suggested to check this place, and I so glad I followed her advice! This was an incredible lunch, the food was exceptional, sophisticated and simple at the same time, where the ingredients shine and the cooking is masterful. The service is warm, competent, full of attention and of kind gestures, the staff anticipates your needs and is ready to give suggestions. It is a very nice, friendly environment, and it is relaxed. Even the counter seats are absolutely perfect, allowing you to talk to the chef in such a nice, informal way, that we both felt like friends talking to each other, rather than guests. The chef was as engaging and as friendly as the maitre-d and all the other staff on duty today. We had some fantastic bread with tarallucci, homemade grissini, incredible olive oil brought to us almost immediately, followed by an amuse bouche of fried dough stuffed with ricotta in a tomato sauce. All of this was complimentary. We ordered 2 main courses, both of them pasta ( the reason why people come here, as DeMartino is one of the best pasta makers in Italy ): the Allardiata with beans and the Ziti alla Genovese, 2 of the most classic Neapolitan dishes, both perfectly executed and absolutely delicious! The pre-dessert was La Devozione, a little morsel of deliciousness that is the signature dish of Peppe Guida. Here the chef is Giuseppe Pisacane, and he is incredible, engaging, patient, professional, skilled, competent, with a great sense of humour. Each dish was perfect. At the end I ordered the Pastamisu, their own take on a Tiramisu, plus, at the e d of the meal, we were given this very stylish silver box containing mini versions of pastiera, 1 sfogliatella riccia and 1 sfogliatella frolla, 1 caprese and another small mini cake. All of it perfectly boxed for the enjoyment of myself and my sister. We had a great Greco Di Tufo by the glass. I must stress that this was an unforgettable lunch, made so special by the service of everyone we met today. Thank you for everything, this was a magic experience and I will definitely come back to taste the rest of the menu.

My second time at this restaurant. I came back 3 years later to eat the pasta again and it did not disappoint. So delicious. Very classy and a lovely price point too. Highly recommended! You can see them making the pasta in front of you. The classic Napolese Ragu pasta dish was amazing! They gave us a box of Neopolitan treats to end the meal. I will definitely be coming back.

The Sea Front Pasta Bar delivered one of the most memorable dining experiences I’ve had in Europe. From the moment we sat down, the atmosphere felt both casual and refined, perfectly setting the tone for an evening of indulgence. We opted for the chef’s six-course tasting menu, which at under €100 per person felt like an incredible value considering the quality and variety. The fun crisp starter was playful and delicious, a great way to kick things off alongside a wonderful wine selection. My favorite was a Sicilian white, bright and crisp, which paired beautifully with nearly every course. Of the pastas, the smoked clam pasta was the clear standout, smoky, briny, and perfectly balanced. Hot on its heels was the fried zucchini flower, my personal favorite bite of the night. Light, crisp, and bursting with flavor, it captured the essence of summer in one delicate mouthful. The short rib ragù over pasta was another highlight, deeply comforting and rich, while the pasta with red sauce was deceptively simple but executed with perfection. The only dish that fell slightly short for us was the eggplant-stuffed pasta. While flavorful, the fried pasta shell made it tricky to cut through, and it disrupted the otherwise seamless flow of the meal. That said, it was still tasty, just not as effortlessly enjoyable as the others. Dessert was a flawless finish, topped off by a charming tin of treats to take home. Watching the chefs cook in front of us was an experience in itself, and head chef Gianluca’s attention to detail, ear tuned to every station, made it clear he takes pride in ensuring perfection. The service was amazing, warm yet professional, and we left very happy, and very stuffed. Sea Front Pasta Bar is a must-visit.

Jesus such a nice experience. Small but very cozy room that is basicly an open kitchen with seats around it. As Andrea (the floor boss) recommended we tried the Chefs creative tasting set. Yeah hard to express how good it was, but let me say that fresh and complex as you can imagine the fine dine should taste like. Very recommend. Adrea thanks again for an amazing evening 🥰

Genuinely one of the best pastas I’ve ever had, the chefs and servers were kind and attentive, even showing us the raw pasta to see how they cut it and make it. Absolutely wonderful pasta, my sister and I both shared the clam and beef pasta and could not decide on a favourite. They were so sweet they even gave us a to-go box of pastries! Definitely would come again and recommend to all. We reserved so did not wait to go in, although there was no queue at the time anyways. A la carte 100% worth the price, not sure about the tasting menu as we did not try this. Thank you for the wonderful experience! Definitely deserved the Michelin star.

Unfortunately, did not meet our expectations... Atmosphere and service were good. Food was ok at best. We love pasta and yet we ended up disappointed. Strong taste and identity was clearly missing. Dessert was a joke.

This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The setting was really cool, as you are up close watching the meal being prepared. The service was excellent and the chefs even answered questions on the dishes. We did the 5 course pasta tasting, it was simply superb. A lovely snapshot of a variety of dishes. We added the wine pairing, which was really well curated for the courses. It was just a lovely dining experience. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This was absolutely the best dining experience I think I have ever had. My friend and I are big foodies and we are both so impressed! They treated us like royalty and the food did not disappoint! The desserts were perfection! 15/10- will HIGHLY recommend. My sincerest compliments to the chef!

Yelp
We happen to stop by here to look at pasta and realized it was also a restaurant.. The gal told me they only make pasta at the restaurant upstairs.. I started looking around and saw that it won a Michelin award 2021. I've never eaten at "Michelin" award restaurant so I was intrigued.. Looked at the menu and saw items weren't too bad.. Also had tasting menu.. Luckily there was room for two so we were able to dine. So walk up the stairs to find small bar style dining place with chef and 2 others behind plexi glass cooking... Staff was very attentive and friendly. Ordered the tasting menu with like 5 items or something.. Did one without the wine since I don't really drink much.. 100 euro per person.. Well I saw the dishes being made and I thought Ii was going to leave hungry but I was over stuffed at the end.. So far as food goes.. Well I was purely disappointed. Most of the dishes was bland. I can't even remember the name of the dishes.. But they were all made with some fancy ingridients. Some with truffle shavings oooh. I guess my taste palate ain't made for these "fancy dishes" I was hoping to taste at least one dish that would blow me away but they didn't. Over all it was fun experience watching the chef make dishes right in front of you. Would I ever go here again nooooo. Maybe one day I'll try different "Michelin" award restaurant and I might have a different thought.. But definitely this one was disappointing and not worth the money. I gave it a 4 star foe the experience, friendly staff and their services.

Yelp
This small restaurant is located on the second level, just above the Di Martino Pasta shop. Most of the seats are bar style situated around the kitchen or cooking area. There are a few tables by the windows which offer somewhat of a view of the water and surrounding city. We made a reservation way in advanced which I recommend doing to make sure you get seated since it is a rather small place. They offer several pasta tasting menus with varying number of dishes in each and wine pairings to go along. We opted for the chef's tasting menu where the chef chooses what to cook for you and it's kind of a surprise. The menu basically included an amuse bouche, 5 pasta dishes (all smaller than the a la carte portions, ~30-40g of pasta rather than 100g), dessert, petit fours, and we of course opted for the wine pairing as well. All of the pastas were delicious but in particular we loved the one with colatura and the one with the mussels. The Genovese ragu was ok but the onions made the sauce a bit too sweet. Similarly the dessert, not my favorite, was literally a pasta noodle covered in cacao powder with some coffee cream and surrounded by pieces of chocolate brittles. I think they could have done better with dessert. Perhaps instead of trying to get creative and use pasta in every aspect of the meal they could have done a delicious, more classic dessert like tiramisu or pana cotta. The petit fours, brought in a tin to-go box, on the other hand were very tasty. The wines paired excellently with the food. We got to taste delicious local wines and a surprisingly good prosecco from the region. Service was impeccable, friendly and very attentive. I definitely recommend coming to this restaurant for lunch if you plan on ordering the tasting menus since you get a lot of food (essentially all pasta) and I think it can be a bit heavy at night. Also, since the restaurant has mostly floor to ceiling windows it gets lots of natural light that in my opinion make it more inviting during the day.

Yelp
We dropped in on the first floor pasta shop here on our walk back to the cruise ship and the nearby port of Naples. We frankly didn't even notice there was a second floor restaurant, as the pasta displays were enough of a colorful distraction and that's all the wife had her eyes on anyway. The Pastificio Di Martino dried pastas are quality products and have apparently been produced locally here for 107 years and a couple of pasta packs made for nice souvenirs. These packs are also dense and heavy in a shoulder bag! There's also a Michelin 2019 sign out front, so that must say something. It was a fun stop for our last commercial store visit in Italy.

Yelp
This restaurant find ended up being a dream come true meal for us. We found it here on Yelp, and we are so glad we made a reservation. They offer three different tasting menus, and many ala carte entrees. We chose the middle option, the Free Style/Chefs choice menu. We received several dishes (photos included with this review), and I opted for the wine pairing (my husband did not). The wines were all local to the area, and Francesco did a great job of explaining the history of the company, where the wines originated, and additional relevant anecdotes about the food, the wine or the area. The chefs were friendly and approachable. Not only was the food delicious, but we were entertained and had a fantastic time.
