We ordered from Goldbelly. Everything arrived on time and they included extra crab which is awesome. We eat ours cold vs reheating which is good because they were unfortunately overcooked already. The crab legs didn’t have the briny ocean taste you expect in king crab and the shells were soft in spots instead of hard so they were somewhat hard to crack. The meat was definitely overcooked and dried out. The price was great, and if they weren’t overcooked it would be five stars instead of four.

not happy with my purchase. filets are very tiny and thin. Looks like tail meat. Definitely not worth the price with shipping costs. smells fishy. Haven't tasted, but smoke salmon and sable are incredibly small and thin. i would not purchase again. I would have been better off buying from the grocery store.

I recently ordered salmon cakes and crab dip and both were not the top quality that I expected. I have had their salmon and cod and both were excellent but they did not do a good job with their prepared cakes and dip. Very disappointed!

I just ordered Scalibut Cakes from SeaBear. Through the years I have ordered different types of seafood from them. I was upset that some GENIUS decided to discontinue the sauce that used to come with them. For me it’s a deal killer. I guess in the future I will order my other items from another source!

Amazing Lox, fresh and wild catches and great sales for repeat customers. When something unforeseen happens during or pending a shipment they are proactive with communication and problem solving.

Store clerks were very helpful, got a salmon sample box to take home. Delicious!

I've never actually been here but I did order salmon dip from here. It was pretty good, not the best I've ever had but good. The wrap it really well and it got to me in a timely manner. I have enjoyed it a lot and would probably order again. There aren't a lot of places that sell salmon dip, usually you just make it yourself, but I found this place and it was pretty good. I would recommend especially because it may be really good to you.

Bought white salmon and absolutely love it! After thawing and cutting open the package, the fish smells like it was just filleted. Super fresh. I will buy again, and will try others. For the record, I've bought smoked fish here and sent as gifts to my employees over the years and always got compliments. First time trying fresh frozen and am impressed.

We buy their croissants which are usually delicious. They come all the way from the northwest and arrive frozen. Our most recent batch weren't rising fully so they came out of the oven smaller and a bit stodgy. I called them and got a very pleasant and helpful lady who, without further proof, sent me a whole new batch free of charge. Now that's customer service and satisfaction.

Driving into town this is the first thing we see- a sign offering free samples. Heck yeah, we're going. We walked in and there were tons of salmon products, along with candy and other foodie items that we tourists crave. We got a couple of samples then chose bags of salmon candy. We left, got to our hotel and saw a card on the card rack saying that if you turn it in to Sea Bear, you get a free item and a souvenir picture. Wo we went back to Sea bear to get everything we had coming. Because we bought so much the first time, we got a free bag of salmon jerky. Then the cashier showed us the background for the photo, had us put on fisherman jackets, and she rolled out a real gigantic fish. We were all delighted taking pictures. My SIL put it on her Facebook and everyone was convinced they'd caught the fish. Sh e didn't correct them, lol. My niece of course had to have the fish shaped chocolate and I needed my stickers, so this was a one stop souvenir place for us and they got another sale from us, which was fine by us, since we had such a fun time.

I've ordered gifts on two occasions from SeaBear Smokehouse and have been equally impressed with the overall experience, as were the recipients of their taste of the PNW! First time I ordered, I called and worked with an employee who was so helpful making suggestions and helping me put together a box of different items for a specialty package. The second time, I ordered off the website which is quick and easy to use. Their prices are super reasonable with a price point to meet every budget; between that, the fabulous customer service, and a great product - they get a 5-star review!!!

Ordered over $100 worth of smoked oysters and crab claws for my friend's birthday. Pkg was left in hot sun for hours before he came home. Items were spoiled. Customer service rep told me that it was my responsibility to make sure this doesn't happen. WTF? Never again!

We rarely mail-order for food items since we worry about whether things will turn out okay but had to make an exception for SeaBear Smokehouse to get the fabulous pies from Whidbey Pies. There remains no equal in the San Francisco Bay Area. When one of our two pies didn't bake up perfectly, SeaBear quickly made things right. You can trust these people. Besides getting a sweet and tart pie not available anywhere else, we have the reassurance that if things don't turn out perfectly, they have your back. Looking forward to trying their other items!

Disappointed. Bought a sampler with 6 oz each of three kinds of "smoked salmon" at a store in Pike's Place for a whopping $47.50. That's more than $42 a pound. Turns out it was all hot smoked salmon. This was not noted clearly on the packaging. For an East Coaster, needless to say, this was a surprise. Quality was okay but not what was expected. Guess I'm making a bunch of super-expensive salmon salad...

The customer service I received was excellent. I had a trouble with an address and they were so helpful and communicative.. especially during the busy time of Christmas

I can not rate the quality/taste of the Alaskan Crab legs since they arrived warm on Sept 27. I placed an order thru Goldbelly to be shipped to Las Vegas as a Birthday gift. I received notification the packaged arrived UPS at 3:45 on Sept 25th They did not leave the warehouse since the airplane was grounded due to mechanical problems I called SeaBear Smokehouse the next morning explained the situation and requested a new order to be sent since the crabs will arrived spoiled I was assured they account for a travel delays and locations and packed the cooler accordingly. If they are not frozen upon arrive Goldbelly will make good. Disappointing experience

Golden King Crab. Made a chive-celery leaf vinaigrette for dipping. Decadent! Get your crab cracker and seafood fork ready, thawing and serve.

We stopped here before a whale watching tour to pick up some things. We got the salmon jerky, chowders, and several types of smoked salmon. The shop is so cute, service was very friendly and helpful and let us sample a few items. Food was amazing! I need that salmon mousse! I will definitely be ordering online from here.

Phenomenal smoked COHO salmon. Iz gud! I usually don't like smoked salmon and like it fresh, especially copper river salmon, but this is great smoked salmon. Especially the coho!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Totally in acceptable! The following is correspondence with SeaBear... I just came into my office, and there was this order. I did not receive any notification of shipment, which I was told that I would. The fish, and dips are thawed. Additionally, I suppose as a consequence of inadequate packaging, there was internal damage. Please view the attached..... ............. Thank you for taking the time to email us today. I tracked your package and it was delivered on time on Wednesday the 30th. When spoken over the phone we did inform you the package would be delivered between Wednesday the 30th and Friday the 2nd. I am very sorry you did not get to your package until today, but because your order did arrive on time we will not be able to send a replacement. From your photos I do see the product is thawing, however it does also look still partially frozen, or at least fridge cold. Because the product is thawing we do not recommend refreezing but as long as the product is still fridge cold you can keep all in the fridge. All three items have a shelf life of up to 30 days unopened in the fridge. Once opened the Smoked Salmon will need to be eaten within 5 days and the dips within 2-3 days. Best Regards, Dannon H.

We've been buying salmon and other seafood from SeaBear for years with no problems. Uniformly good smoked and frozen salmon, lox, crab, etc. Recently we bought one of the Alehouse Clam Chowder soup packages which was apparently bad (package was puffed up). After notifying the company they immediately sent us a new package. Great products and great customer service!

I'm impressed. I ordered king crab legs from here via GoldBelly. To Southern California in the middle of summer. And they were still frozen on arrival. Really impressive packing, prep, and shipment. The crab was delicious. Nothing but positives to share. 5 stars all the way.

I am giving them two stars because it seems like a good co. and people trying to make a living. However, I ordered the wild caught alaskan halibut for 124.00 plus for 6 or so pieces; I don't really know because I threw it out. The halibut steaks were poor in look not at all appetizing, not even some semblance of uniformity, although I expected some deviation but one portion was a only a sliver and 3 had so many pinhooks would not serve them. Would not order again; they need to sharpen up their orders. I have ordered halibut from other sites which actually look more edible and were. I am sorry I could not have given them a better review.

I ordered 2 paks of Weathervane scallops. When we received the package it had thawed some on one side but wasn't completely thawed on the other side. I called SeaBear to see if these were still re-freezable and eatable. They immediately offered apologies and sent out 2 more paks at no cost. Not only that, I also received a letter of apology. Who does that anymore? 95% of the companies in the US need to take some lessons on customer service from SeaBear. The scallops were delicious. They are the same scallops I was going to order directly from Alaska, but the cost of shipping was outrageous if ordered from Alaska. You must stop here, sample their current offering and pick up some great treats! Smoked oysters were outstanding. We ended up buying 4 of the ends packets as they are buy 1 get 1 free. The staff is friendly, the smoked seafood on point, and the various locally provided offerings are interesting!

Outstanding customer service!! Ordered a gift shipment of frozen salmon for delivery to North Carolina. Despite the fact that UPS confirmed an after dark delivery , the recipient couldn't find the the box. Whether it was a porch pirate (unlikely in a rural area) or snatched by a bear (more likely), SeaBear sent a replacement with out any charge. Their customer service dept. was polite, pro-active, fast and focused on making sure the we were happy customers. I'm not a fish fan, but we're now a fan of this company! All their 5 star review are justified.

Seabear deserves 10 stars very easily. We live in Anacortes and having Seabear close by is a real blessing. Their retail store is beyond belief with the sophisticated items which pleases all of our guests when they come to visit. The employees all have a deep understanding of their products and always are ready and eager to assist in making the right selection. An asset to Anacortes and beyond.

This Smokehouse is surrounded by warehouses and marinas, it can be easy to miss. We visited on a Saturday, hoping to get a tour of the plant and learn a little about the smoking process. Unfortunately, tours are only given Monday-Friday, but they had a video that gave us a brief overview that we watched while sampling their Spicy White Bean and Smoked Salmon soup. The friendly staff also offered us samples of three kinds of smoked salmon, smoked mussels, wasabi cocktail sauce, Alaskan king crab dip and a Walla Walla sweet onion mustard. It's nice that this place serves as an outlet with their prices much lower than in their catalog. They also have a clearance section full of further discounted items that were mislabeled or whose packaging was phased out. After trying so many delicious samples, we purchased much more than we intended to. We'd definitely recommend a stop here if you are visited Anacortes. They have their own parking lot and isn't too far off the beaten path.

We have been ordering from SeaBear for many years and have always been pleased - until now. In December, we got an order (individual filets of halibut and salmon) that was half thawed. The company apologized and replaced it, which was lovely. The reorder was frozen, so all is well....except that the two ice packs were completely thawed. If we hadn't received and retrieved it promptly, it would have thawed, too. In the past, fish arrived in a Styrofoam cooler lined with silver thermal material and with four or five ice packs - which were always still completely frozen. The last two deliveries were in unlined Styrofoam coolers and two instead of four or five ice packs. Living in a hot climate, I won't dare order fish except in the winter. Seabear please go back to the former packaging. I will call before ordering again and see if packing is better in the summer. We love the individually packaged filets - so convenient, delicious, and good for you.

I was given SeaBear Wild Salmon as a gift. I thoroughly enjoyed the salmon. So, I telephoned SeaBear and ordered smoked oysters. The woman I spoke to was friendly, efficient, and easily answered my questions. The oysters arrived as promised and were very delicious. Because of their friendly and prompt service and the high quality of their seafood. I am definitely a repeat customer

I went to their inventory sale yesterday and I found lots of good deals. I stocked up. I tasted several of their smoked salmons, Mmmmm. They also have lots of local foods available. Can't wait to give unique gifts from the Northwest.

Awesome smoked salmon and wild-caught trout are the main attraction at this company outlet store, but it's also a great place to find lots of other locally made treats and gifts. I've seen SeaBear products in retail stores all over this region, and this little shop has all of those packaged goods (at a slightly discounted price) available plus several varieties of fresher, more perishable smoked fish. The lady working the counter here was extremely friendly and helpful, and eager to let us try samples of various products prior to purchase. When I mentioned that the amazing smell of smoked salmon in the place was making me hungry, she even provided a plate, fork, and napkin so I could enjoy my fishy treat immediately at one of the picnic tables right outside the front door. Sweet!

Seabear has provided us a chance to share a piece of the PNW with friends around the globe by offering a huge selection of locally made products. Their staff is very friendly and offer great suggestions on deals and new products to try out!

I miss this place so much! They make the best smoked salmon in the world. The crab dish is superb and a great value. Please open a shop in SE Minnesota!

Love seabear. Best gift for loved ones out of town

This seafood specialty store has excellent smoked salmon from the waters around Anacortes. Anacortes used to be the salmon capital of the world because of all the canneries located here in the past. The other specialty items in the store are exquisite tasting to the gourmet foodie. The customer service is outstanding as well.

I shopped at Seabear for Christmas gifts. A wonderful employee helped me pick out all the goodies I needed to send a package to a family of about 20, She was amazing. The family LOVED the salmon and other items we shipped. We will shop there again!

I ordered a gift for fathers day and paid for 2 day air so it got there on Fathers Day, the website says 2 day delivery and it took 5 days, they neglect to tell you that your order won't be processed until the next day and each "day" is exclusively a business day So my order done in Wednesday is scheduled to arrive on the following Monday after paying for the express 2 day delivery. Very deceptive advertising!!!!!

Very disappointed with SeaBear. The gift was deteriorated upon receipt and had to be thrown out, having been out in the sun where UPS dropped it off, while the dry ice evaporated. Far from satisfaction guaranteed, the company would not replace the delivery. It's hard to imagine that they can take my friend's money and not even bother to find out if I am available to receive a gift delivery. That irresponsible approach is bound to result in some gift delivery failures: though I'm sure the payment is received. SeaBear needs to take responsibility for their choices, and respect their customers and their satisfaction pledge. It was an expensive gift; they disrespected my friend. That is not even courteous, let alone service. The gift from Sea Bear was a hurtful, demoralizing event. Gifters beware: you may not hear this truth and disappointment from the recipient.

I love SeaBear! They have a great selection of local buys and the staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

My parents recently ordered eight 3.5 oz packets of wild Sockeye salmon. They tried one packet and described it as inedible. Next they gave me a packet to try. I found it to be salty and oily with an unpleasant texture. It looked like fish mush with the largest chunks being about 1/8 inch cubes with some dark meet mixed in. I only managed to take on small bit before racing the packet to my outside garbage can. The predominant flavors are fishy, salty, with a hint of salmon. My wife and I enjoy salmon on a regular basis--purchased fresh from our farmer's market fish monger. I also enjoy canned tuna, canned herring, and canned smoked trout as well as a variety of fresh sea foods. Don't waste you money on Seabear wild Sockeye salmon. Our remaining six packets will join their brothers in the trash,

Update: I'm updating my review because they stood by their product. The salmon was very good, but I still think freezing cream cheese is a bad idea, and its texture when thawed really is not acceptable. The cream cheese went from being smooth to chunky and lumpy, I guess is the best way to describe it. Freeze some yourself and you will see what I mean. I got my money refunded for that and they stood behind their guarantee. I still take one star off because the company does not clearly indicate that EVERYTHING you buy is frozen. With the salmon, it was fine, but not the cream cheese. My advice, buy their lox and mix it into cream cheese you by locally. Much better. ------------------------------------------------- Really horrible experience. They are in Washington State, I am in AZ and average temps at both places are 60's during the day and 45 at night. Ideal shipping temps, or so I thought. I bought lox and cream cheese, to items that are not really a problem with spoilage. So got 2-day ice shipping like they recommend and received it in two days. When I received it the entire order was frozen rock solid. The "Ready to eat" lox won't be ready to eat for two days when it thaws. Cream cheese is not something that turns out good when you freeze it, and this one certainly didn't. I threw that out.

The best wild salmon, almost any way you want eat it! This company cares about its customers and the sustainability of its product. If you are in or on your way through Anacortes, stop at the Seabear Smokehouse and Speciality Food Store. The renovation is fabulous, making it easy to shop all their great products and have fun doing it....get your picture taken with the huge King Salmon while you're there!

We LOVE SeaBear's scalibut cakes (served exclusively at Cafe Olga on Orcas Island) which SeaBear sells at their outlet location and online. After several years of stopping for lunch at Cafe Olga, especially for the scalibut cakes, we decided to stop at SeaBear's outlet location in Anacortes on our way home, in order to purchase cakes for an upcoming special occasion. Unfortunately the store was closed. I sent feedback to their customer service dept regarding the hours posted on their website and store hours not lining up, and received a response within 2 hours, on a weekend no less. The follow-up to my feedback was top notch, not to mention their offer to make amends for the mix up. They also updated their website to clarify between store & customer service dept hours. I work in customer service myself, and was thoroughly impressed with this company's customer service model. The scalibut cakes arrived on the date expected, just in time for our special occasion, and still perfectly frozen in the special packaging SeaBear ships in.
