Seabutter Review - Beverly Hills - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Seabutter is a modern, subway-tiled sushi bar with a menu offering two distinct sushi experiences. On one hand, you can get some pretty busy-sounding things, like sashimi covered in truffle soy sauce or wagyu sushi topped with uni, or you can take the purist route with simple, lightly dressed nigiri. Order the $40 seven-piece omakase to experience a little bit of both those worlds, including a perfectly torched tuna nigiri and creamy minced yellowtail belly that might’ve been even better. The sashimi platters do tend to come with lots of toppings and sauce, but we don’t mind: the kanpachi yuzu plate with kosho and lime zest was arguably the best thing we tried." - Sylvio Martins

They have Uni- Shooter!!! What a rare treat. It was so delicious, bold, round, and perfectly well-balanced. I wish I could have one everyday :) My server Steven was very kind, helpful, and gave a warmness to the already calm atmosphere. I got the 4-Hand-roll. Nori was crunchy, made fresh to order, and the sushi was very clean, delicate, and fresh. My sushi chef was kind and diligent:) The atmosphere was wonderful and the lighting was just right! I get a lot of migraines and this establishment was bright and well lit in a non-artificial way and was easy on my headaches. I look forward to returning💛🙌🏽🙏🏽

These were the best sushi I’ve ever had! The fish was incredibly fresh, and the flavor was absolutely divine. Every detail was perfected. The service was outstanding—attentive, polite, and truly professional, making our visit even more special. Thank you for such an amazing experience can’t wait to come back!

First time here, we chose Seabutter randomly while at Americana at Brand shopping area. It was an anniversary dinner for my brother and sister-in-law. The restaurant recently opened in Glendale and the space they are in is on the smaller side, but light and airy. They call their food modern sushi and they do have some unique items on the menu. We shared an order of the garlic edamame and ordered a rainbow roll (made with blue crab vs dungeness), daddy long legs (soft shell crab), the hottie (low carb) and pressed toro (think a layered roll cut into rectangles). The Wasabi served seemed to be freshly ground based on texture, but I didn't confirm that. The food was tasty, although my brother said he prefers dungeness in his rainbow rolls. I throughly enjoyed the items I tasted, including the rainbow. Everything was super fresh. Only three minor things keep this from 5 stars, our main waiter seemed a bit aloof and distracted, but that could have been due to how many tables he was managing. The support team was attentive and friendly. The cute, but super messy soy sauce pot (I understand they are replacing them) and lastly, there was no acknowledgement of the special day we were celebrating, even though I mentioned it when we were seated. Overall I would go back and recommend the restaurant to others.

The sushi at this spot was absolutely fantastic! Our waitress was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to choose our preferred table and going the extra mile to ensure we had everything we needed. The food arrived promptly, and the sashimi platter featured seven different types of fish. I especially enjoyed the refreshing sunset roll, which was a delightful combination of yellowtail and spicy tuna filling.

Located right across from the Americana. Paid street parking and metered parking lot behind the restaurant. Not a huge place, but very posh inside. Don’t let the small menu deter you, their offerings are on point. The utilization of citrus with their rolls really compliments the natural flavors of the fish. They do offer a lot of options if you’re in the mood to drink though, just not a fan of canned soda.

Google
Crab roll heaven! 🦀✨ Sea Butter has the best crab rolls I’ve ever had—hands down. They’re incredibly fresh, and packed with flavor. Every bite melts in your mouth. I seriously dream about them! The quality is top-notch and the portions are perfect. If you’re a seafood lover, this place is a must. I keep coming back just for those crab rolls. Highly recommend!

Google
Guys ! Seabutter did it again! Another beautiful location. I dined with them last night and I have to say I couldn’t be more impressed. Service was amazing and OH MY GOD the food was to die for . Fresh fish, with some new dishes and don’t even get me started on the uni. I extremely love uni but it’s always so hard to find a place that serves good uni. So it’s safe to say seabutter is the only place I eat uni at. The whole staff is so loving and welcoming ! Highly recommend their new location if this one is closer to you.

Yelp
Came in on a Sunday day, first time, service was excellent! A young lady was our server, explained everything well and was attentive and kind. Food was delicious, fresh and came quickly. The spicy tuna on crispy rice was perfectly crunchy but my favorite thing was the agedashi tofu! I needed a giant bowl please!! Ok the Salmon color was BOMB and only $8... what!? Definitely go here instead of one of the Americana touristy restaurants. Next to Eggslut.

Yelp
I went to Seabutter this afternoon and all I can say is wow! The quality and freshness of the fish was excellent, and the flavors of the sushi were very unique and delicious. The Kanpachi Yuzu was TO DIE FOR! Most importantly, I'd like to thank Zoé for his phenomenal customer service. He made it such an enjoyable lunch and gave wonderful recommendations.

Yelp
Ordered Seabutter through DoorDash. We ordered a bunch of sushi and a few hot dish items for 4 people to try a lot of things. The food came quickly and was impeccably packed but the quality and taste absolutely does not match the price. Two of the cut rolls were not even cut all the way through causing the pieces to fall apart when we picked them as they were still stuck together. The tuna on top of the YTJ roll tasted off. Not good poison bad, but definitely wasn't the freshest. Most of the other food was under seasoned and portions were very small. I wouldn't mind the small portions if the quality was high and the flavors were outstanding but it was not. The best thing we ordered was the veggie udon we got for my toddler. Unfortunately we came away very disappointed with this meal, especially with how much we spent. Probably won't order again (and this is the 2nd time I've ordered with the same thoughts).

Yelp
When driving through Glendale, we noticed a new sushi place had opened and decided to give it a shot. It is located across the street from the Americana mall and is housed where a former fast food place was located. We were able to secure a reservation and headed over for dinner. Upon arrival, we were shocked at the transformation of the space. It is sleek and modern, a huge contrast from the previous tenant. We approached the host and were taken aback by her lack of enthusiasm or eye contact. She tried seating us at a table by the front where everyone has to walk past you. This choice of location, despite there being many open and available tables, was not a positive start to this meal. We asked to be seated elsewhere and she complied but with the energy of a sloth. Thankfully things picked up from there. Our server and all of the accompanying staff was energetic, outgoing and friendly, the complete opposite of the host. Our server guided us through the menu and made some suggestions. We ended up with a tempura, a sashimi, a roll and some pressed sushi, something I was not all familiar with. The items came out quickly and all exceeded our expectations, especially the pressed sushi since it was our first time experiencing it. All of the seafood was very fresh and the composition of the dishes was quite nice. We will definitely return to Seabutter. While it's a bit on the pricey side, the quality of the fish and the outstanding staff (not the host) make us want to come back for more. If it weren't for the host, this would have been a 5-star review.

Yelp
Was in the area with a girlfriend and we wanted to stop by for some sushi. We came across Seabutter for the first time, and while the sushi was undeniably fresh, the overall experience left much to be desired. The quality of the sushi was good, but unfortunately, the service was a real letdown. The staff seemed rather standoffish and almost rushed us through the meal, which really impacted the atmosphere. It felt like they were eager to turn over tables rather than give us a chance to enjoy our meal at a comfortable pace. While the freshness of the sushi is a positive, the poor service overshadowed the experience. Given the hype around this place, I expected more both in terms of hospitality and overall dining experience.

Yelp
Glad to see the former Big Chicken spot get an upgrade! Loved the sushi we ordered and I can see why they went with the name Seabutter - the texture of everything was so smooth, creamy, and well buttery! You can tell they are using quality sea food for every bite. The highlight for me was the sexy albacore dish with crispy onions, but my husband loved the 2 crispy rice dishes we got best. Service was super friendly & speedy. It was pretty empty when we started lunch but it was starting to pick up as we left. Wish they had outdoor seating available, especially when the weather is nice - maybe those tables are coming after they've settled in to the new space a bit more? I can hope at least! Will definitely be back as this is now my fave sushi spot in the vicinity.

Yelp
We got there as soon as it opened and there were people already seated. It's a very popular restaurant in Glendale. Ambiance is very crisp and clean, not much decor. Overall the service was fine, but we had to wait a bit for our server to come to our table. Perhaps they may need two servers. Food: I had seen the crispy ride from Seabutter being advertised so I had to go. I was not disappointed, they are delicious. The yellowtail hamachi was to die for. Very flavorful, it melted in your mouth. I would definitely go again. Check it out and cheers, Barbara

Yelp
Sushi is unbelievably fresh, service is always amazing, and the ambiance is clean and inviting. We love Sea butter. Every time we have visited, it's been such a great experience. So lucky to have this great sushi spot in Glendale! Finally

Yelp
Came here last Sunday at 1pm and it was empty! Which I loved, we got seated immediately and our food came out quickly. The gentleman who sat us, gave us over the top customer service. I can't remember his name but he has a man bun, it was probably the best customer service I've received in LA. The food was delicious as well. My favorite was the HYE : minced yellowtail belly, sesame oil, truffle, kizami wasabi, sea salt. So yummy! Will definitely be returning.

Yelp
I'm going to start with the service for the first time, the service alone I gave it 5 stars! Our server Marcus was exceptional, we had a really big group that included 3 kids and a new born and he was so nice and positive from start to finish. Typically a big group like this with kids and everyone being disorganized and not paying attention would irritate any server, totally thought he would be faking his 'niceness', but he was so genuine, he was awesome. Their staff were all hands on and everyone was great, but Marcus definitely stood out. This location was much bigger than I anticipated, great if you have a big group or even if it's just the two of you. Very casual, and great location right across from the Americana. Now to the food, I did not focus too much on the food with everything going on around us, but everything I tried was great! I had a little bit of everything, it wasn't my absolute favorite sushi in La but it was better than most. I will definitely come back again. This was much better than their handroll bar in studio city. I really liked the pressed tuna, has a great Smokey/char finish, and also really liked the hot night roll. Those I would definitely order again. The tuna explosion was a bit underwhelming, but it's still good.

Yelp
Postmates order, everything was nicely package and seal nicely..arrived on time as well. Food quality could be better, the uni/scallop was good wish the uni was bigger piece. The maki's were tasty the pressed toro and sunset had great flavor combination loved that they separated all the sauce so it didn't soggy the rice. Salmon truffle nigiri was good, my son wanted more. Spicy tuna crispy rice wasn't crispy because it was delivered would have to eat it at the restaurant. Would come to the restaurant to dine in next time.

Yelp
We dropped into Seabutter for a late lunch on a Sunday. We go lucky and found parking in the back, else we would had to park in one of the neighboring lots. I dropped off my partner and then found parking on my own. When I tried to use the back door of the restaurant, I found it locked and walked thru Phil's Coffee to get to the front (sorry Phil's!). My partner however said when he tried the door, it was open. So FYI. The food and service were both top notch. We enjoyed our food and the calm ambiance of the restaurant. We got 1 sashimi style order which was very fresh and 2 rolls (as that's my partner's' preference). I would dine at Seabutter again when I'm in the mood for sashimi. If I'm mainly ordering rolls, I'd likely go elsewhere as despite their rolls being good; I find that the rice and other items in and on top of rolls really mask the fish's quality within. As such, roll style sushi can be gotten elsewhere for less (if you're being budget conscious) and taste about the same. Just my opinion. I'll happily pay for quality sashimi though.

Yelp
If I could give this place more stars I would. I walked in and was greeted by their host and a waiter. Every staff member is really friendly and I love the ambiance in here. It's very beautiful inside, there's a sushi bar you can sit at and a bunch of beautiful white tables to sit at. Now the food, there's a lot I can say on the sushi but one thing I do want to highlight is the quality of fish. Usually I don't like thick cut pieces but their yellowtail is insane, I love the pressed sushi as well as the chicken teriyaki! You guys SO close to me, you're officially my local sushi spot! Thank you for having us.
google avatar

Yelp
This is my new fav Glendale sushi spot. They have a wide menu, nice big location, usually not that busy. Nice music playing in the background. It's just very cold inside - their AC blowing right on you while it's cold outside is not fun. Anyway, I have found my go to items in their rolls already. I've been here 3 times already . It's safe to say they are good fresh quality sushi .

Yelp
Top notch service! I've never had so many different hosts/servers come by to check on our table at a restaurant before. Didn't think that was absolutely necessary but thank you for your care and attentiveness. Also love that they brought out a kids' water cup without us having to ask. These servers just know what you need! The shiso roll was amazing. The fresh flavors went together perfectly. If you like raw sushi, definitely order that one! The marinated carrot in that roll brings back happy memories of eating at traditional sushi spots on the westside. Gyoza was deep fried very well. Typically I hate it when gyoza is deep fried because it's usually too thick and too crispy/hard but theirs is expertly prepared, maybe their gyoza skin is thinner? It was just so light and airy, I really enjoyed it! The pressed roll had a fun presentation and a nice seared flavor but I barely tasted the truffle in the salt/paste topping. Also, I think if fresh pineapple was added to their chicken teriyaki rather than a canned looking version, it would really elevate that dish. But overall those plates tasted good. My son loved their version of the dragon roll. Difference with most establishments is that they use salmon tempura rather than shrimp tempura. Honestly I feel that the salmon overpowers the roll a bit and would prefer shrimp tempura but I'm sure anyone who loves salmon, like my son, will also really enjoy it. At the end of my meal there was a sweet thank you note attached to my to go bag! Despite some things I would improve or change about certain dishes, I'd still say this dinner was memorable for all the right reasons. Parking lot behind restaurant. Must pay at kiosk by entering license plate number.

Yelp
Wow! This place exceeded my expectations! Well, mostly because of one roll - Mr. crab roll!! Unbelievably amazing and melts in your mouth ! The garlic edamame was okay and so were the shishito peppers. The dragon roll was pretty good and the sunset roll was good even though it was missing some umff! But the Mr. crab roll was beyond delicious!! Will definitely be back for more!

Yelp
9/8/24 .., located next to Phil'z coffee on the corner of Colorado & Brand, we chose to have dinner here on a Sunday evening (2 days ago) . Looking to get our sushi fix, my girlfriend & I chose this spot for it looked highly recommended. There is parking behind the restaurant & is metered hourly. Upon entry the ambiance was nice, clean, & modern. Having no reservations, even though the restaurant wasn't packed at 6pm we decided to sit at the bar to avoid a wait. Service was friendly, and after we ordered our starters consisting of edamame & 2 orders of Crispy Rice (2 pcs. per order) the place eventually became busy. Our server was friendly but soon forgot about us after we received our appetizers. We ate them slowly hoping he'd return so we could order our entrees without having a huge gap between meals but given they were only 2 pcs. per order they were done within minutes. My only critique with the Crispy Rice rolls is that the rice isn't fried on all sides of its square base which makes grabbing it from the side with chopsticks a hit or miss for it can fall apart if grabbed by the uncooked side. Other than that the flavor was awesome. Due to a previous review, someone had mentioned a sushi chef reprimanding her for using soy sauce & wassabe on his sushi creations. But during our experience while seated at the bar the sushi chefs kept to themselves & hustled throughout the busy dinner service. Only downer about sitting at the bar was the constant reaching over, under & around you by the servers as they got their orders. If you value your personal space then the bar isn't for you lol. After our main server passed us multiple times avoiding eye contact? I was able to get his attention as he was walking with another patron's order. He apologized multiple times and his attentiveness improved. His recommendation of the Hye was appreciated, for that was indeed delicious. We also ordered the Mr. Crab & that was also enjoyed with its generous morsels of baked lobster on top. I understand the nature of the sushi bar environment but 2 of the servers would not say excuse me or anything when grabbing a plate and grazing my head or shoulder with their elbow as they got their orders. One female server would always reach under my girlfriend's arm as she was eating to grab an empty plate without saying a word which made it uncomfortable for her. Towards the end of our meal, another female server reached over my girlfriend's head to grab a roll & a flower garnish fell off and into my girlfriend's water. All she said was oops sorry and walked away without offering a new glass? Other than that the other servers were great and checked on us when our main server was absent. I'm open to give this place another shot if back in town & seated at a table for a different experience. Do I crave it or have the urge to come back anytime soon, not likely.

Yelp
There are so many sushi places in Glendale, but Seabutter steps it up a notch. It's modern, clean, and offers some of the freshest fusion-esque sushi without breaking the bank. They have a good variety on their menu - sushi, sashimi, rolls, a few hot items, handrolls, and to my surprise pressed sushi! I don't see this often, so this was a nice surprise. Their nigiris, Pressed sushi, and "Sushi Style" portion of their menu are my favorite so far, and the way they prepare their fish is literally like butter. I've tried their omakase select, which is a good variety, and highlights all the best flavors Seabutter offers. I'll definitely be coming back here for my sushi fix, and I'm glad that they are now in this area!

Yelp
New favorite sushi spot! Was so excited to try seabutter as it's fairly close to us, and they didn't disappoint. Prices were fair, good serving, and amazing service. Will definitely come back to try other things on menu Rainbow roll: 5/5 had salmon, tuna, yellowtail and albacore Pressed toro: 4/5 this was really heavy, I like the truffle and wasabi kick Yellowtail roll: 3.7/5 your nice simple yellowtail roll Blue crab roll: 4.5/5 always love my blue crab

Yelp
We had the most amazing Sushi and service was excellent! I have to say that this had to be some of the freshest sushi I have had. Lobster crispy rice was amazing! Can't wait to come back... totally worth the drive!

Yelp
Finally - an amazing sushi spot in Glendale. I was so excited to learn that Seabutter was coming to Glendale and it did not disappoint! If you want fresh fish, amazing service, melt-in-your mouth kinda food, and a clean and modern ambiance, look no further. Seabutter has it all! The menu is incredible and you literally can't go wrong with anything you order. Everything is incredibly fresh and tasty. The mix of flavors in everything is unique and utterly perfect. I am allergic to soy sauce and avocado and the chefs are super careful and accommodating, making new batches of things just to make sure I am able to have my favorite rolls. I am obsessed. Hands down, best sushi spot in Glendale and potentially all of LA. Highly recommend!

Yelp
They were open on Christmas Day! Beautiful restaurant and the staff was amazing and friendly. I took my daughter for a special lunch. Yelp
We recently had dinner at Seabutter and the experience was perfect from beginning to end. Parking was easy, they have metered parking out front and more paid parking around the block. We got a spot right out front. Everyone greeted us as we entered. The room was fairly empty at 6:30 on a Wednesday, but I imagine it fills in on the weekends. It had a very modern, clean vibe. Before we even ordered, the server offered us a complimentary ceviche, which was citrusy and delicious. We ordered the pressed toro, salmon medleys, scallop nigiri, the daily special golden eye snapper, and spicy salmon crispy rice and they were all amazing. The king salmon in the medley was our absolute favorite, with the spicy salmon crispy rice a close second. I had mentioned that it was my partner's birthday and the staff came out and sang to us. They also brought out a complimentary matcha ice cream. We aren't usually fans of matcha flavor, but this ice cream was so tasty! The flavor was delicate and the texture was dense and creamy. I also ordered the plum wine, which was super sweet and syrupy, with an incredibly thick viscosity. I loved it! But it's definitely for people who like very sweet wines. One thing that stood out was the excellent service. No empty plate sat on our table. As soon as we finished a plate someone quietly whisked it away without interrupting our conversation. They gave us space but attended to any needs we had. We can't wait to go back! They have a large menu and so many things we'd like to try.

Yelp
Worst service ever. Waited 2 hours for delivery of the food for my guests finally gave up and called restaurant and they said they have millions of orders and didn't have the capacity to fulfill the orders on time. Told me to cancel it if I couldn't wait longer. If you can't handle orders why do you accept them. Complete embarrassment that I didn't have food for my guests because this place is greedy and didn't want to pass up on an order even tho they don't have the proper staff or capacity to accommodate customers. AVOID AT ALL COST!

Yelp
Fresh, delicious and filling. Everything from the packaging to the food was well prepared. I would definitely be eating from here again!

Yelp
This is a great addition to the Americana for sushi. The staff here is very friendly and service is very quick as orders come out efficiently. The space is open and more like a casual restaurant stop you can dress casual al the time. Ive tried several dishes and most dishes are tasty but there have been a few that didn't excite me. I feel that everyone has their own taste so I won't label anything negative elevation since I've been here a few times and always had a overall great experience.
google avatar

Yelp
Tried out this new sushi spot and it was so good! There's a ton of seating and a lot of employees working at a time, the service was super quick. They have a lot of truffle in their menu, so keep that in mind if you're not a huge fan of truffle. The yellowtail crispy rice was my favorite, would be better if they served it with avocado. The jalapeño tempura was SO good on the YTJ roll and the tuna citrus pressed sushi was very refreshing. The citrus in the YTJ and tuna citrus were a little too strong and overpowering for me, but still good and the fish was very good quality.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered on uber eats. The presentation even on my to go order was so cute! The crispy tuna was so delicious! Next time I will order more because of how delicious it is. Then the spicy tuna and the spicy salmon are delicious! Will be ordering more soon!

Yelp
Only a few things. Both bathrooms are singles, so might get busy when restaurant is crowded. You have to ask for desserts because I didn't see it on the menu. Careful with soy sauce container as you pour it, especially when it is full. The top will leak when it is full. Overall, the pressed sushi was great.i got the pressed toro and had truffle on top. The Marlyn Monroe, low carb roll, a daikon roll with tuna, salmon, albacore, and yellowtail with avocado and gobo (braised burdock root). Shiso special is a cut roll with gobo, shiso (beefsteak plant leaf), tuna, yellowtail, salmon, avocado, cucumber, and wasabi. Emma nigiri is minced, seared, frosted toro with nikiri sauce, truffle, and kizami wasabi.
google avatar

Yelp
Zoë was an amazing server! Great quality, and overall service. Highly recommend miso mushroom soup, sunset roll, and spicy yellowtail hand roll.
google avatar

Romy P.

Yelp
Food all around was fantastic. Wifey even said it was the best sushi she had. I would dare say the cuts are slightly on the smaller side for the nigiri. This was much better/memorable than what I had at their Laguna Beach location. They use blue crab instead of imitation crab in their rolls. 911, hot night, Mr crab, rainbow, the hottie were all good with high quality fish. The mini omikase options (I got the lux) are legit way to get different offering of their special sushi creations without committing to full size omikase. 80$ for their full 14 piece omikase is a decent deal. Again cut or portion size on nigiri was on smaller side based on other mid end sushi spots. Handrolls were good. Seafood Came out crispy. Hate it when you order and it sits then the seaweed is chewy Ambiance was cool- is as expected for the area. Miso sea bass was legit!

Yelp
This restaurant was such a wonderful surprise! It's cute, well lit and clean. I love sushi so I can be very picky and particular about it. This sushi is fresh, and flavorful! The best use of truffle oil and wasabi that I've ever had. The service is friendly and extra helpful! My daughter has celiac and they offered so many gluten free options! They immediately asked us if we had been there before and we answered no, they immediately gave us a complimentary ceviche. We enjoyed the atmosphere, service and the food.

Yelp
Apparently, this restaurant is a chain. I saw they just opened up in Glendale and have other successful locations. Their other locations had good reviews so I thought I would give it a try. The front entrance entrance is a little bland. Not sure if they're working on making it nicer. Might be because it's still new. Almost looks like it's not even open yet. But once you get inside, the interior decor is very clean and modern. You are immediately welcomed by their numerous attendees and servers. I went on a Saturday night at 7 PM and it was only about a third full at the time. I'm guessing it'll get busier as more people find out about the restaurant. The service is very good. I was very quickly tended to. The server was knowledgeable about the menu. I sat at the sushi bar. The menu has lots of different options. Standard sushi choices and a variety of rolls. Since it was my first time, I thought I'd try out the sushi. I ordered the Otsukuri select which is essentially their sashimi Omakase. Chefs choice of various slices of their best fish of the day. All the fish was so fresh. A lot of effort also put into the presentation. Ornate garnishing. Each slice of fish was served with its own unique spice and flavoring. The salmon with the truffle seasoning was very special. The Toro literally melted in my mouth. Now I know why the place is called seabutter. I also had a bowl of white rice, cooked perfect and fluffy with a bowl of miso soup. I must say I left very satisfied. I don't think it will be too long before this place is hopping and you'll need reservations to get a table for dinner.

Yelp
Sorry. Not good. I have been following their IG for a while and was excited to try it when they opened near my house. It's conveniently located right across from Americana and parking can be easily found at the back lot. Upon arrival, I noticed a really simple, modern interior. The front door was really huge! andddddd that was it. The main problem with their food is that everything is so bland. I can see that they make their own version of soy sauce and use that as a base for all of their sauces but everything tastes so watered down. I asked if they have regular soy sauce but they didn't have it. It should at least be available upon request. Fish quality was pretty standard but wagyu was inedible. It was way too chewy. Pressed roll had a nice concept but it didn't do much to the taste. Sea bass was good though. It was really thick and juicy. However, again, due to their watered down house made soy sauce, it didn't taste like anything. Service wasn't that great. The menu was priced little bit above average and I was expecting much butter service. The busser actually checked up on us more than the servers. There was a guy that looked like he had no idea what he was doing and he made the dining experience much more "fun".

Yelp
This place is awesome. Didn't notice that the chicken spot had closed down but when I did, I saw a new sushi spot and figured I'd give it a try. In Glendale, the #1 spot (in my opinion) is Kumadori. This place was clean, fresh and inviting. Modern ambiance with lots of positive energy from the staff. Our waitress (forgot her name but she had tattoos and was very attentive) greeted us immediately and after we sat down, she walked over with the menus. She made her recommendations and I must say, they were all AMAZING!!! My favorite dish was the Mr. Crab!!! We also loved the Pressed Toro, the Salmon Truffle and the Sunset. All the fish was fresh and they did not skimp on the amount of fish/seafood in each item. We loved the service from our waitress along with the food and we will definitely return.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for a birthday dinner on a Thursday evening. It was quite empty when we arrived around 5:45, but it slowly started filling up around 7. Def get a reservation just in case. Food: We all ordered the Taste of Seabutter omakase special, hot house sake and some extra handrolls. 5 out 5 stars. Melt in your mouth good. Service: Exceptional. Our server was so funny and attentive. When he was busy getting our food, there was always another server around us just in case we needed something. Ambiance: Casual. But somewhat trendy without being pretentious. My only suggestion is dimming the lights a bit. It could be such a cute date spot but it's so bright in there!

Yelp
Wow, what a great find. The reviews were good, we were in the area, so we stopped in. Boy am I glad we did. I had two items, the Sunset roll and the Salmon with truffle. Both were outstanding, not just good fish, but the flavors were fantastic. My wife had the cooked Cod on a bed of onion and mushrooms. Again, the flavors they added to the cod was outstanding. So the food was great and the staff were equally fantastic. Friendly, helpful, they know the menu and did a great job explaining anything we asked. My only complaint? It is so far from where I live I will not be back anytime soon. Bummer as I would definitely make this a goto spot if I lived closer. Thank you for some great food. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Amazing!!! Finally, seabutter just opened a new store in Glendale. I came here yesterday to try out, since i have been tried all other locations. Again, Seabutter never disappointed me again. All the food is fresh and the restaurant looks amazing with high ceiling. All staffs were very attentive and food came out very quick. I tried 7 pcs omakase and kanpachi yuzu. All good!!! Two Thumbs up!!!!

Yelp
the quality of the fish here is so good! the standouts for me were the crunchy albacore, salmon truffle and the pressed toro. the other two rolls were a bit too citrusy but good nonetheless. overalc i was glad to have found a new neighborhood spot and would love to come back to try more!

Yelp
I have ordered from this place a few times in the past month and the food is delicious! High quality ingredients and reasonable prices. They have even included cute handwritten notes with my delivery.

Yelp
You can definitely taste the quality in every dish here, incredibly flavorful! Servers were friendly and recommended some of their personal favorites, which I always appreciate! We first ordered the large sake which looked like the size of a wine bottle when we received it. There was only 2 of us so we ask if we can switch to the smaller size which was not a problem at all. Their sake was tasty and thankfully not too sweet. We came in on a Wednesday with no reservation so it wasn't as busy. Food did not take longer than 10 minutes! I highly recommend and can't wait to enjoy this place again.
