A great location on the strip with Miami Beach to one side and the inland waterway to the other. Plenty of good restaurants within walking distance, and of course ideal for taxis to take you a bit further, like down to the South Beach area or Ocean Drive. Better yet, a free trolley bus runs up and down Collins Avenue all day long and late into the evenings, with stops right outside the apartment complex.
There’s a good pool and a Tiki-style bar, both located right alongside the ‘boardwalk’ path that runs alongside the beach for several miles.
The lounge area and bedrooms are large. Our two-room suite on the 12th floor had one room with two large double beds; the other with a single large double bed - both with en-suite bathrooms.
We had a view to the west over the waterway - and facing the sunset.
For our four-night trip, the apartment was absolutely fine. I’ve knocked one star off as the kitchen, while large, is under-equipped if you really want to self-cater. We didn’t do that, but a couple more mugs and at least one teaspoon would’ve been nice! As a Brit, I like regular cups of tea.
