This place is a little tucked away in Sausalito but it is a lovely place to eat. I had the classic fish and chips which as a Brit I can approve of! The salad was also good and the complimentary bread was a lovely touch as well. Some of the things of the menu are quite pricey but then so is everything else in the area so is to be expected! Definitely consider the specials when visiting too

Today was my BFF birthday and we had a full day of fun. Decided to try Seafood Peddler restaurant. From the time we arrived, during and as we left everything was perfect. Thank you to the crew. Our serve is amazing and joked with us. We loved our Oysters, Calamari, Eggs Benedict, Fish and Chips. Everything perfectly done. We will be back. Seafood Peddler is a must.

This place has really gone downhill over the years. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants when I came to visit my grandparents in Marin. I went to SF for work and took the ferry to Sausalito and this was about a 5-10 minute walk from the ferry terminal so I thought I’d stop by. I noticed right away that it was dead at peak lunch hour, but perhaps that was just the one instance. I used to always come for dinner so maybe it’s still packed. The portions were so small, especially for the price, and the quality did not match. The gulf prawns were tough, rubbery, and overcooked; the crab cakes were super processed with minuscule pieces of crab with lots of filler, really can’t say I recommend this place anymore. The view is nice and the nostalgia is there for me, which is why it’s a 2 star as opposed to 1. I had this sampler plus a bowl of clam chowder, which came out to about $60 with just water to drink. I one to enjoy food in all shapes and sizes, regardless of price or ambiance. Think tacos/hot dogs from some guys truck at Home Depot to $700 3 Michelin starred tasting menus. My point is, this, given its taste and quality, was absolutely not worth it from any standpoint. You can get the same, if not, better view with a $6 ice cream cone from downtown Sausalito. Maybe I’ll return someday for their roasted Dungeness crab, which was my favorite as a kid, I’m hoping that hasn’t changed for the worse as this place has in general.

Every other restaurant was at least 1 hour wait list but tables were available here. Why is that? Maybe because the front door is hidden in the back, off the main street. We took a chance and ate here. Good thing we did. The food is very solid. We ordered the chowder and it did not disappoint- lots of potatoes, bacon, clams and rich too. No wonder it was 2016 chowder bowl champion. The lobster roll is a bit on the small side - a short brioche bun served with fries and slaw. The shrimp and lobster Louie salad had more fixngs than described in the menu - the salad was the Mediterranean with eggs, tomatoes, olives, avocado, and lemon wedge. Comes with a healthy amount of shrimp & lobster. I got extra dressing and the salad was great from start to finish ; surprisingly filling too. It was a lovely day and bright with a view of the docks.

Great seafood menu/collection. Fresh catch. The Alaskan Halibut was just amazing. Good potions have a great taste. The views of the Sausalito hub from the restaurant add to the ambiance, especially at the sundown.

Second time there, clam chowder was great again, tried the lobster bisque soup and it was very good, just needs some lobster chunks and it would be top notch. Had clam chowder, crab cocktail and cold lobster roll sandwich, all were top notch, portions were small and prices were high (excellent for the pallet but not the wallet). One of the best chowders in Northern California. Owner was there and very friendly and personable. Service was fast.

I loved my experience and my server. I felt well taken care of. We had an early dinner an ordered the New England Clam shouter soup and the Maryland crab cakes. My husband had a three fish dish. The food was delicious specially the soup and the fish. The ambiance was warm and cozy. It was nice looking at the mountains and small boats. Overall, it was a nice dinner.
