Look!!! When I tell you the food was amazing and the vibe excellent. Seafood Pot is most definitely the place to go. Most definitely will visit again. Sorry I ate an egg roll before taking the photo. The seafood platter, crab cake, and fried okra was delicious.

Google
I truly enjoyed the seafood pot; it was bursting with flavor and clearly prepared with fresh ingredients. It was also served hot, which made it all the more delightful. I must say, the owner was incredibly friendly and made the experience even more special. It's always nice to be welcomed with such warmth!

I'm never eating anywhere else again. Some of you may consider it spicy, you could ask if they do mild versions.

Don’t go there please. Hair in my chicken wingsss!

Google
Overpriced for frozen, fast food like fish, shrimp, and oysters! Oysters were gritty. The menu did not match the prices. No waiters-you order at counter and go back for refills that are not free. The young lady lacked knowledge about food items and ordering process. Price overall is $30-&50 per person. No other customers were in the place.

Ordered shrimps with broccoli side. Shrimps were ok. But broccoli.. Question: What color are broccoli? A lot of them in my plate were brown.. how long broccoli have been sitting before it was microwaved? i don’t see the value in meal for money it cost… there are better places than this one… question to owner: Would you eat the food you serving to people? Mushy brown broccoli???

Google
This restaurant has changed owners, prices menu and fries, all for the worst! I used to rate this as the best shrimp in town but now it is soggy and not crispy. The batter seemed to not be cooked completely and they changed the fries to the kind Checker's has, only not as crispy. This is the last time I'll go there, unfortunately.

Google
Food was absolutely amazing!!! Super friendly staff! We were visiting from Tennessee and really wanted a good seafood place. This place definitely did NOT disappoint! We may need to make another trip here before we head back home! Even the chicken and fries my kids got was a pretty good serving size! All the way around it was a great place!!!

Yelp
First time visiting the Seafood Pot and won't be the last! Very pleasant girl named Christine taking the order. The restaurant is a good size and clean. Not too big and not too small. I ordered the shrimp boil. The food came out nice and warm within 15 minutes. The shrimps were good size and tasty. The potatoes and sausage were tasty as well and no additional seasoning needed. Service was great as well. I asked for a cup of ice and got it quickly. Overall extremely satisfied!

Yelp
Amazing! I've been to several of these types of restaurants back at home in CT and none were good enough to make me want to come back for a second round. This was light years beyond! We loved the food and the flavor was great! Great friendly service too!

Yelp
Ordered the crab legs with sausage, and it came with corn & potatoes. It was good and the service didn't take long. The inside isn't extremely large, but there are a tables to dine in. Most people get their meals to go. The guy behind the counter that took my order was neither nice nor rude. He just was.

Yelp
The best meal I ate on my trip to South Carolina was at the Seafood Pot in Charleston. It's the perfect place to stop for a meal before or after your flight because it's only 4 miles and about 10 minutes from the airport. It's a casual spot in a strip mall, so come as you are and place your order at the counter with the very friendly and professional staff before sitting down wherever there is a seat. I love crawfish and I was thrilled with this huge seafood boil for under $17 with GIGANTIC fresh crawfish, delicious beef sausage, corn on the cob, and potatoes. Somehow I managed to eat everything except the potatoes :) The spicy boil was perfectly seasoned and I would have drunk it as a beverage if it hadn't been so rich. I had read so many good reviews of their gumbo that I had to order it and compare it to the other versions I love in Los Angeles and New Orleans. The chicken, shrimp, beef sausage, okra, and roux version was less than $11 and a hearty hefty serving with very nice spice blend. The gumbo was a bit thin, and the shrimp were a bit small, but for the price and flavor, this was a definite winner. The shrimp version of the seafood boil was equally delicious, again for under $17, the shrimp were plump, juicy, and perfectly cooked with all the same beef sausage, corn on the cob and potatoes included in the crawfish boil. I was thinking of taking some of the food on the plane when I ate there on the way to airport for my flight back home, but I was so starved for great food after my sojourn that I literally ate everything before boarding my flight! If I ever go to Charleston again, the Seafood Pot will be my first stop after a flight and before a flight!

Yelp
All it took was one bite and I was hooked on their gumbo. The soup flavor is well made. It's not too rich, not too salty, not bland, just perfect. The shrimp texture was so nice .. soft to bite but not too overcooked. I absolutely detest rubbery shrimp and I was relieved that their shrimp was cooked wonderfully. I stopped in for a quick bite and wish I had more time to enjoy their many other options. I'm happy about my order though! The pictures don't do this gumbo any justice.

Yelp
I could see myself coming back for more crawfish! This crawfish was boiled in a unique sweet and spicy base. The size of the crawfish was a bit underwhelming and they were cooked to be a bit soft. Although the size wasn't enough for a feast, it was a fantastic weekday lunch. Price was right. It filled my needs for a local sea food boil spot!

Yelp
Took the family here because most of us enjoy seafood. If you're into crab, lobster, shrimp, this place is pretty phenomenal with the seasoning being a mild to moderate spicy, depending on what you're used to. Whether you do takeout or sit down, the amount is very good for the price And clearly the owner is vested in providing good service. It's not the fanciest environment, but the best places usually are not. We were all pleased.

Yelp
Here we are now trying a variety of shrimp, oysters, crab, sausage collections. Kind of a fast food setting but other customers plates and comments sound great. Will see soon. All was excellent for our visit. Customer service was wonderful and helpful for making our food choices. Sure would like to return for more testing.

Yelp
Great find! Family owned restaurant that offers great value and very tasty food. I had the fish and shrimp which came with fries for only $15! Huge juicy shrimp with a delicious light and crunchy breading. Fish was flaky and coated with a well seasoned crust. The fries were fresh although I couldn't eat many as the seafood portion was so generous. Hubs had the daily special which was a shrimp boil. Tons of shrimp in a buttery boil sauce with corn, sausage and taters. Finger licking good for real. Fast friendly service. You wouldn't guess the quality of the food by the unassuming strip center location and plain decor but don't let it fool ya. This place is so worth the trip. Two huge meals for $33, excellent value!

Yelp
Yum! Delicious and local seafood creole and Cajun style!! Service was excellent and quick! Def recommend on trying this joint out!

Yelp
Today me my grandma and my parents all stopped at the seafood pot. I got 3 piece chicken tender with fries it was good it also came out hot! The service was good. Also you had to get bottled items there was no fountain. The Ambiance was not what I was looking for. I wanted to see the southern Charleston vibe but I just didn't quite get it. There was no bathroom that the eyes could see and the room was small but there was sections covered with curtain. Overall I might stop again. Price:$$ Ambiance:3 Food:4 Service:4 Sorry you can't see the curtained part/cash register in the picture

Jason R.

Yelp
The food was good everything was great the boil, The fried shrimp. The chicken was cool. I was not impressed the fried fish though. The service was excellent the prices were good and there was for sure enough food to be eaten. We fed four adults and three kids. We will go back again the next time we are in town.

Yelp
Small place but excellent fried oysters and fried shrimp. Every time we are coming to Charleston we stop here for lunch. Tried the gumbo this time and it was great too. Nice people.

Yelp
This place is absolutely awesome! The staff were great, the location is great, the restaurant itself is great and the food is delicious!!!! We came here with my brother after picking him up from the airport and let me just say his little New Yorker self absolutely loved it! I started with a bowl of gumbo after seeing someone else order it and oh my gosh! That was the best gumbo I've ever had! It was so delicious and full of flavor. My tastebuds were dancing with every bite. Then, my brother, my boys and I split the largest low country boil item on the menu and couple sides of rice to go with it. It was soooo good! My brother loved the crawfish and my youngest son ate the whole crab leg. That would be, I have to say, the only disappointment with this place. What makes this a four star review and not a five was because there was only one cluster in the largest menu item of LCB we ordered. Call me bougie, call me ridiculous, call me what you want for deducting a star for crab legs, but they truly need more crab leg clusters with their LCB, especially with the biggest LCB menu item. Every other place I've eaten LCB offers more clusters except this place. One cluster is just simply not enough, in my seafood loving opinion. My oldest son was pretty bummed to see that there was only one when the food came out because he was looking forward to eating more than one and his younger brother ended up eating it. The sausage, corn, potatoes, shrimp and crawfish has so much delicious flavor though! We tore it up! There wasn't much left of that plate once we were done with it. They offer fried seafood too and I saw a whole large table of construction workers eating baskets of fried shrimp and fried fish. So, I assume those menu items are also very tasty. I can't wait to come back here again! Even though they charge $20/cluster of crab legs and don't even offer more than one cluster on their largest menu item, it's still worth coming back because we had such a wonderful dining experience here. I suggest if you want crab legs though, to go elsewhere. There are plenty of other places that don't charge $20/cluster for crab legs.

Yelp
I stopped in because I had a break in my schedule and I'm so happy I did!!!! As I watched so many delicious dishes go past, I KNOW I will be back! Today, I got the seafood gumbo and I can never seem to find what I'm craving! Today, I did! It totally met my cravings... and there was so much in the large bowl that I had to take some home! If your nearby you definitely need to make this a stop!!! Sooooo yummy!!

Stephanie C.

Yelp
I always get the daily shrimp seafood bowl. It's always delicious! It's just enough without being overly full. The service is always quick and staff is courteous.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! My husband and I raced to beat their closing on Fri. We made it just in time. The food was simply amazing ! We will visit every time we are in North Charleston! Tammy, Greenville SC

Yelp
The ambiance was quaint. It served its purpose. The food was good. I highly recommend the crab cake. The KT special, which I had consisted of a cluster of crab legs, fish, and fries. The crab legs were battered, and to my liking. it was too much batter. The service was excellent. I also recommend the gumbo. I will definitely. Be returning

Yelp
My family and i went to this restaurant expecting a regular seafood boil, but we were left slightly disappointed. We ordered the lowcountry boil without mussels and an assorted fried seafood plate. We did not receive a choice if sauce or any gloves, but did receive one crab cracker tool. There were also styrofoam plates. I ordered two large orders of rice as well, in total it came to about 88 dollars before tip. Everything is ordered at the front counter, they do not have waiters, and only canned beverages or water bottles are available as drinks. The cashier was a very young boy. The man who i assumed to be the chef recommended us the lowcountry boil. The seafood had decent flavor, but had a pretty standard garlic butter flavor and there was nothing very remarkable about it. The portions were a little smaller than expected, given it was a 36-40 dollar plate of seafood. The rice was dry and they poured butter over the rice which i didn't mind, but did not make it taste very good. I would recommend this place for someone who wants seafood to go, because my dine in experience was a little less than ideal for a seafood boil restaurant. Then again, there are some better options for takeout seafood restaurants. The interior had a few tables, and was clean, but I would go elsewhere if you are looking for a dine-in restaurant.

Yelp
Tourist review. For those seeing the stars and wondering what to expect. It's a fast food type restaurant found in a strip mall with mixed sorts of businesses. It's not a fine dining establishment or fancy sit down. It's a no frills, focused on the food, sort of thing. No need for fancy dress since this is a seafood boil and fried foods sort of joint. Family-run type of business where the owner is serious about his cajun prowess. If you're familiar with Nola types, you'll hear an ear-full. 1st visit, we loved everything except the potatoes. Which could have used more cook time to get properly softened. They were still hard. In the boil we got one of the costlier pots since it gave us a tasting of everything and we had a large group to share with. Their menu is simplistic in offering a selection of prearranged groupings or a build your own. They also offer specials on some nights, so look for those offers. Our pot came with shrimp, crab and plenty of mudbugs but unfortunately I dined with folks too proper to get their hands "dirty." If you're unsure of how to pull them apart and dine on'em, there are plenty of vids on YouTube. Alongside the pot we got hushpuppies, fried shrimp, crab cakes and more. We didn't have much leftovers, that's how good everything was. 2nd visit - carryout. Since we had a hang of the menu we ordered specifically what we needed. A seafood boil and requested it prepared extra spicy. Oh yeah, definitely try their gumbo too. You should enjoy. **I'd suggest choosing specific items you'd like in your boil. If crawfish are not your thing, don't just do it for the sake of trying them. Shrimp are served whole, so you'll have to get your fingers dirty cleaning them. But the boil is tasty enough you'll be sucking the sauce off. Personally I prefer mine de-shelled. Last but not least if ordering hushpuppies, get two. Don't deprive yourselves due to calories. Hella good.

Yelp
Very good food, it was a quick lunch order but I really enjoyed the plate, service was quick and the food was hot. I ended up being some over to my wife at her work and she was mad because I didn't bring her a plate of her own. I'll gladly go back.

Yelp
Went here today (19 June 23). I ordered the special seafood boil with shrimp. I ordered extra sausage but wasn't given the order. I have had a lot of seafood boils and I would rate this one as one of the worst. It wasn't awful but it wasn't close to the best. I didn't notice any bathrooms I'm the location. Food 3* Price 4* Cleanliness 3* Service 3*

Yelp
What a great find ! Unpretentious with good food. Owner is from New Orleans and the food is authentic and delicious. Gumbo was yummy and flavorful! My husband had the seafood platter - said it was tte best he's had in town . Super friendly service .. we. Will return often
google avatar

Briana M.

Yelp
Best seafood I've had in Charleston. Puts others in their place. Get their boil or the New Orleans gumbo. Crab cakes are so flavorful, crunchy yet soft.
google avatar

Kellie P.

Yelp
AMAZING!! My Husband called the Gumbo a "Religious Experience!" Perfectly cooked chicken, shrimp and sausage. I had the Daily Special (low country boil) with Shrimp, corn, potatoes and sausage. Heavenly! Family that owns the place was delightful to talk with also.
google avatar

Brandy S.

Yelp
Absolutely magical... no, seriously, I can't find the words for the depth of flavor in the spicy broth... it's the stuff food memories are made of. The family that runs this place are exceedingly kind and hard working and we were so glad to find this gem. The crab legs and shrimp were the best I've ever had. Go here.
google avatar

Brian V.

Yelp
What a great meal!! I found this gem on Yelp on a "seafood dinner" while staying near airport. The guy at the counter helped me decide what to order with consideration that I was rolling solo for dInner. I had it in my head to order a big bowl of gumbo and I also got the Daily Special which was a seafood boil serve in a plastic boat with both shrimp and crawfish. They first served the boil with only shrimp but then brought me an entire bowl of crawfish to top it off!! (Not pictured). This meal was just the right portion size and both the staff and customers were very friendly. I ate every drop of what was served to me and walked out completely fulfilled and stuffed to the gills!! I will definitely recommend this place to my colleagues and make this a mainstay in my Charleston collection. Thanks!!
google avatar

Tisha M.

Yelp
The food is not served how its displayed. Basically they serve your food in butter and throw dry cajun seasoning on top of the food. The seafood tastes like water, the potatoes were hard and the service is you walking to the front to make the order.
google avatar

Kathryn C.

Yelp
So good! We split this between two people and the boil was very flavorful! When you walk in at first it seems like it will be not that great however we had to check this place out from the amazing yelp reviews. It definitely didn't disappoint. It did have a little spice to it if you are sensitive to a slight spice it may be a lot for you! My friend is sensitive to spice though and she was fine and she enjoyed it as well.
google avatar

Tim S.

Yelp
Regret not taking pictures! We had the fish boil and SUPER worth it. The kids had the fish basket and finished it all. Great find, excellent customer service and the owner let us know she is from New Orleans and they bring the recipe from there.
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
A friend recommended this place to me- so glad they did! While it is an odd location and might not seem like much, it is totally worth it. The seafood boils were so delicious and plentiful. We ordered the spicy crawfish and shrimp boil as well as the shrimp boil (no spice). Someone else at the table ordered a fried platter. It's an interesting experience if you've never had to peel whole shrimp or crawfish before. You learn quickly! The provide gloves for you, too, if you'd like. It does take a little time to come out, as it's made fresh to order. The fried order came out much quicker and she was almost done by the time we got our food. Worth the wait. Highly recommend checking it out! I'll certainly be back since it's not too far from my house, which can be dangerous for my wallet!
google avatar

My R.

Yelp
The best seafood place in town!!! Love their seafood gumbo. This will be our go to seafood place. We ordered seafood Gumbo, 3 seafood fried platter, and low country boil (the best). Everything is so good. Family own and so friendly!!!
google avatar

Cindy B.

Yelp
Best gumbo around if you ask me. Has a nice amount of spice and it just tastes amazing. The fried fish is hands down one of my favorites in Charleston. It's down old school low country style dusted in cornmeal and cooked to perfection. The chicken wigs are delicious! Give this place a try. You'll be happy you did.
google avatar

Mike H.

Yelp
I had the shrimp pot. It was great and just the right flavor and spice. Be prepared to not be impressed with decor or ambiance. I believe it is mostly a takeout crowd. Best to order and run off to your favorite place to chow down.
google avatar

Selvia C.

Yelp
This is one the best spots in town for fresh seafood. I've been coming here for over 2 years and we always love everything we get. If you don't mind getting a little messy- you have to try the shrimp & crab boil with the house garlic butter. Hands down, best in Charleston!

Dawn L.

Yelp
My husband and I shared the seafood pot special! It was plenty of food for two and tasted amazing. The cook came out and showed us how to eat the crawfish (mini-lobster). Super nice folks with great customer service. You definitely want to use the bibs. So great food, great price and service in a little hole in the wall place. Two thumbs up!
google avatar

Shayla V.

Yelp
I am from the north and loveeeee me some seafood. The large plate came out pretty quick, actually almost too quick for me. However, I feel like I could've spent the same amount and made a ton more! The crab legs seemed dry, yet the corn was mushy. The crawfish, potato's, sausage and shrimp were as always in any dish like this. Their was a ton of garlic, butter and herbs to make them flavorful! Okay, let's get to the reason for the two stars. Let's be honest, the place needs a facelift inside. I prefer not to see a bunch of "junk" (cooking supplies, flours, extra stock) when walking to the bathroom. Also, all the candy in front and snack is confusing! Are you a store or are you a restaurant? lol! In my opinion, if you don't care about the area where your patrons can see in plain view, then that scares me of what the back of the house might look like. Now for the next part, a few of the mussels had big pieces of dirt in them, I don't feel like they were cleaned very well, one that actually hurt while chewing, I've also never seen mussels that had such bright green on the shells but that's probably normal here.... however, I'm still having a problem with the last part. My husband picked up a mussel, it was pretty big, he had an odd look on his face and then turned it around for me to see. Now I don't know what was inside of the mussel, but honestly it looked like a alien/ monster, (funny/NOT funny) thing that took up the entire inside of this very large muscle.... he immediately threw it down and said he was done. I clearly was too. I couldn't bring myself to take a picture and we had already paid, so we just washed our hands and left quickly. All night I couldn't get that vision out of my head, and in case if you're wondering if we have week stomachs, nope! Not at all... I'm the girl that will order the weirdest, sometimes to my friends the most grossest thing on a menu. I love trying new things but I usually know what I'm getting myself into. My stomach was also not okay today, hopefully it was just a coincidence... ‍ My advice to the owners. Clean up the place! But Most importantly if you are going to be a seafood pot place (there's a ton down here) then it better be the freshest, cleanest seafood, to get people coming back for more!!

Tricia P.

Yelp
Delicious. Corn meal breading on catfish. Quick counter service, under 10 minutes to table. Ambiance is very relaxed kind of picnic style. Several booths
google avatar

Tracey R.

Yelp
Don't let the looks of this little place fool you. Food was fast, hot and tasty! Everything we got was cooked and seasoned to perfection! Only down was they were out of oysters and didn't serve beer.
google avatar

Bethany T.

Yelp
The best seafood I have ever eaten, I'm not kidding it was amazing. The place wasn't as inviting as it could've been so we took it back to the hotel but the food speaks for itself I will definitely be going back as many times as I possibly can
google avatar

Ariel H.

Yelp
Definitely is a small, family owned business, but super delicious. Just went there last night and the seafood was fresh, tender and juicy with lots of flavor. Their prices are reasonable with the amount of food you get. Highly recommend and would definitely go again!

Jadan K.

Yelp
We love the Seafood Pot!! The owners are from the Gulf Coast. And they know exactly how to cook it! The crab legs and shrimp are fantastic!!!

Amanda S.

Yelp
The service was quick; we ordered at the counter and had our food in under 10 minutes! The food was hot and flavorful; we got the daily special of a crawfish boil plate and shrimp boil plates, the shrimp had probably 15 shrimps plus corn, potatoes, and sausage while the crawfish about 17 or so full large bodied crawfish in it. It was well worth the $14 a plate. We loved it! The place was clean and well lit with a welcoming vibe.

Don B.

Yelp
The seafood boil did not have any seasoning! The garlic butter was watered down with a taste of curry powder! Worst seafood from the Georgia coast to Concord, North Carolina! I would not eat at this restaurant again!

Loretta C.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Great value for the high caliber and quantity of what we got. Would recommend and eat there again for sure.
google avatar

Tracie S.

Yelp
This family owned restaurant is a bullseye!!! My First time here and ordered the shrimp basket with fries and hush puppies. It came out freaking hot and so fresh. Flavors were amazing. The owner came to our table and recommended the seafood gumbo next time as he said it's delicious. I believe him!!!

Ej N.

Yelp
The Food was the best I have had in a while! I enjoyed the fish & chips the most. There fried fish was amazing and fresh as-well.
google avatar

Michael M.

Yelp
Love the boiled more than fried but both are good! Get the extra spice! The regular is not very spicy, but I like it hot! Very friendly and accommodating!
