Seafood Story - Review - Sunset Park - New York - The Infatuation

"Seafood Story is an Egyptian seafood restaurant in Sunset Park. They’ve got a wide range of fried and grilled seafood, like calamari tagine and grilled shrimp brushed with pomegranate molasses, served along sides like sayadiyah rice. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Will Hartman

I had the pleasure of visiting this new seafood spot and I was seriously impressed! The food was incredibly fresh and full of flavor you can really taste the quality in every bite. The atmosphere is cozy and clean, with beautiful ocean-inspired decor that makes you feel like you’re dining by the sea. The staff were super kind and welcoming, and the service was quick and friendly. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to highly recommended for anyone who loves good seafood and great vibes! 🐟💙

Definitely one of the best seafood restaurants I've tried in Brooklyn!! Super cute and thoughtful interior design, GREAT food (tastes homemade) and PERFECT flavor, not too salty not too sweet. Will come back many times!

I truly felt at home here. I initially planned to order the grilled branzino, as I usually do at other restaurants, but the chef recommended trying a different type of fish. I was hesitant to try something new, but it turned out to be amazing — I’m so glad I took his advice. Everything was spectacular, from the food to the atmosphere. I’ll absolutely be coming back!

Seafood boil + lemon mint + hibiscus drink were VERY fresh and delicious. The presentation is also very cute (come on look at the rice!!) & the service was very kind. Their decor is also boat themed so it feels like you’re out on sea! A gem for really good seafood in Sunset Park.

Yelp
Delicious food! Lovely atmosphere and great, friendly service. The pasta unbelievably good, the baba ganoush as well. Seafood Story is a great addition to the neighborhood!

Yelp
Sweet family owned business on fifth avenue of Sunset Park. It's a nice addition to the block in terms of variety, seafood! I've had the dinner, I see they also have a lunch special Id like to check out. Most mains come with two sides. Their whole snapper with a side of rice and eggplant was wonderful. Fish was fresh and flavorful. The serving style was very attractive. I've also had the salmon special which is worth the visit ! The chef comes out and pours the caper remoulade. Probably my favorite dish. They offer a few beverages like the hibiscus (similar preparation to Agua de Jamaica). Now that I've visited a few times, something to be aware of is that sometimes they're a bit slow. But honestly it's nice to slow down and not be so time bound if you have the time. The interiors are reminiscent of a beach town, bright blue and a beautiful floor collage. Definitely feels like a treat, perfect for date night as well!

Yelp
This place is a fairly new seafood addition to Sunset Park and I thought I'd give it a try. It's very cute on the inside. The floor is painted and glossy with ocean waves (like you're walking on water). It definitely gives sea vibes for sure. I was greeted by a young lady as soon as I walked in and she was so sweet. I ordered cheesy mussels ($15) and the creamy salmon pasta ($24). The pasta was really good and the sauce was flavorful and creamy. It had hints of lemon and garlic. Very well seasoned. It also had nice size chunks that salmon as well. The salmon was decent, but could've been seasoned a little but more. I'm typically an oyster gal, but they didn't have any on the menu so I opted for the mussels. They were tasty and well seasoned. If mussels are your vibe, I think you'll enjoy. If you're in Sunset Park, stop by and give them a try.
