stay at the Seahorse Inn was absolutely wonderful. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The owner handled a difficult situation with a rude patron with impressive professionalism and care. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The location near the boardwalk was a huge convenience. Overall, the experience was fantastic. The Seahorse Inn is highly recommended for anyone looking for a clean, friendly, and well-located place to stay.

Great place to stay, very clean and the staff is friendly. The only complaint I have is don't book room 103 it's small and attached to the service room for the pool and or wash room. You can here a pump running off and on all day and night which keeps you up all night, other than that I've been staying there since it was Knolls Resort probably more than 40 years and is a great place to stay!!! Enjoy!!!

Decent stay overall, but a few things need improvement The room was very clean and the service was friendly. All the basic amenities were there, which I appreciated. However, there are a few things that could really improve the experience: the toilet seat and lid need to be replaced, as they felt quite worn. I could hear every step from the room above, which made it hard to rest at times. Also, even with the thick curtain fully closed, the bright outdoor light made it feel like sunrise in the middle of the night. And I didn’t know toilet paper could be that thin. All in all, it was decent for the price during peak season, but I hope they address these issues soon.

This place was AWESOME!!! Stayed there July 14th and 15th 2025 Queen size bedroom It was very well cleaned and it smelled good. The floor are made of tile the bed was very comfortable nice TV Refrigerator and microwave. Table for two The bathroom toilet shower and tub were sparkling clean. I can tell it had been renovated because of the updated fixture mirrors and floor. The only thing the parking is tight but the SUV trucks were not around when it was built but our Chevy Traverse fit . The price was great. I would recommend this place to stay.

Place was close to the boardwalk, rooms were clean and service was excellent. Pool was nice, and clean. Gentleman behind the desk was very nice and pleasant. I'd definitely book here again.

The room was very small however it was extremely clean. It served it's purpose and it is close to pretty much everything like within walking distance. Aside from the room being small, our room was right next to the utility/boiler room and it went off ALL NIGHT. It was so loud we could barely sleep. We didn't complain as we were only there for one night but had it been more we would have said something.

Very clean rooms, awesome staff. Walking distance to the boardwalk and beach. Rates are great.2nd time staying at this hotel. Awesome place! Will be coming back again!

Overall, I had a good experience! Check in was smooth and front desk staff was friendly. Love that it's 2 blocks away from the beach and that it's next to Family Dollar to get last minute stuff. The place was super modern/recently renovated and clean. But I feel that it was overly priced for being a 2 star hotel.

Major pro: 2 blocks from the boardwalk, across the street from lots of food options, Family Dollar very close by for incidentals. Mini fridge and microwave, as well as an ice machine on site. The pool is minuscule but you do have the ocean nearby sooo... Cons: you may miss some elements that are standard in hotels at this point in time: charging ports for your phones. None existent. Bring a block. Closet? Nope. There's a very small rack to hang things. Very small bathroom with no vent so it gets super hot and humid during showers. No iron or ironing board in the room but they did have one when asked in the office. Direct TV and no streaming channels unless you cast, I guess. 2 washcloths provided which is insanity! Sigh. My expectations weren't really high since beach hotels see a large volume of visitors so you can't expect perfection but these small things make a huge difference. I guess I'd stay again, simply for location.

I would never recommend booking at this inn. I booked a room for two nights through Booking.com and had to cancel due to a death in the family. I originally tried to change the dates so that I could still have the vacation with my granddaughter. I requested to modify the dates through Booking.com and they emailed the Seahorse Inn but did not get a response. I called the Inn myself twice and was told that they would reach out to the manager. I explained that I was going to lose my money if they did not respond to Booking.com in time for me to either modify or cancel the reservation. I was on the phone for literally half an hour with Booking.com while they repeatedly tried to call the Inn to see if we could modify the dates. They could not get a response so they emailed the Inn and recommended that I continue to try to get the Inn to respond to them. Eventually, after zero response from the Inn, I had to cancel my reservation and lost $200. So I am out $200, have no reservations for a later date, and the Inn had a room now available again that they can rent to someone else and essentially get paid twice for the same room. They have some very shady business practices, and I would not recommend staying with them.

We had a great stay here. The room was updated and clean. Check in and check out was easy. It was too cold for the pool but the pool looked nice. Great location just a block off boardwalk. Priced well. The bathroom is European sized not American sized. Small sink. Small toilet. Normal size bath and shower. The beds in our room were double beds. There was a mini fridge and table with 2 chairs. It was perfect for me and my 2 kids.

First thing I want to note is the staff. They are not that friendly as the other reviews state. Very direct and a bit aggressive. Good luck Trying to call the front desk as they never call. Pool was alright ( a bit small but does the job ). Pool was clean. The room does look renovated, but deteriorating fast. scrapes and small holes in the walls and some parts of the room were not cleaned correctly or at all ( very visible water blotch on the door ) . Bathroom had a HALF OPEN bottle of Shampoo which questioned the whole rooms cleanliness. Sheets were clean and bed looked alright ( thus the two stars ). The only big pro is that its very close to the boardwalk , however dirty rooms and uncaring staff makes this hotel a skip.

We were looking for a quick beach get away for just the two of us. We didn't need anything extravagant, just something clean to lay our heads. This place was a hidden gem! We were able to park the car (although it was very tight parking) and we did not have to move it. We were able to walk to and from the beach/boardwalk within minutes. (Super plus for two 20-something individuals who were able to enjoy the night life) They let us check in a tad early which was super generous and the rooms were above expectations. Clean, comfortable and enough pillows (6 total). Beds were comfortable and the AC was nice and cold. There was some sort of parade and a group of people enjoying their time- with the air conditioner you couldn't hear them. We didn't care much anyway. Family friendly environment with the pool. We did not visit the pool on this occasion. Although a tad pricey, it was worth it for us to be so close to the boardwalk and for us to get back safely without having to worry about an Uber/Lyft or one of us getting behind the wheel.

The place looks average on the outside. The lobby is not warm or inviting. The pool and pool area are both pretty small. There's only space enough for 4 lounge chairs to tan along with 8 regulars chairs to sit along the pool a la like at a bar bc there is no surface area for tables and such. We had a king size bed. Although the room was very small, it was very clean and updated. Being so small, the AC unit made it an instant icebox. It's great for a couple or someone solo. Def not good for 2 people and a toddler. Also there are no chain locks on the room doors so we could not stop the baby from opening the door as turning the handle also unlocked the door at the same time. Very Annoying and also a bit of a security risk. The staff was pleasant as well. The location was also great. There was a Rite Aid 10 feet away, a great breakfast spot (Stella's) down the block, a liquor store down the block the other way. We were also only 2 blocks from the beach and 5 min from Moreys Pier. If you want a great location that's clean and modern but a bit tight this is your spot. If you want a great pool and need a nice size room, keep it moving. Seahorse you did the job. Inn!

This place is GREAT! And I absolutely can't wait to come back soon. Friendly staff, extremely clean updated rooms with a comfortable bed. They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is Pleasant. Highly recommend staying here you won't regret it.

Stayed here last year and didn't realize how good we had it, lol. At the time I was unimpressed with the pool, but now thinking back, I'm just happy that it was clean and safe. Our room was insanely small, but VERY clean, VERY modern and somewhere you don't mind coming back to at the end of the day. Super comfy beds. All of the rooms look and feel as if they were freshly renovated. Staff does an excellent job of maintaining cleanliness. Close to the boardwalk as well as a park, some cafes, a liquor store and pharmacy. Ideal location really. My one major complain was no chain lock or latch on the doors which is a pain in the butt when you have a stubborn toddler who knows how to get outside. We had to create a makeshift barricade, lol. Otherwise, I would 100% stay here again!

Excellent service , excellent rooms , CLEAN , Modern and very friendly staff , pool was great , I STRONGLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!

Terrible experience! Owner was rude from the start and unpleasant. We had an issue with somebody staying with us and they caused a scene so we had them leave and not stay with us. To our surprise the next morning, the owner called our room and kicked us out with 0 willingness to understand what happened. He and his wife danced around the idea of a refund and lied to us. We never got refunded for the 2 days he promised us before we left.

Very clean. The staff was constantly around cleaning even the outdoor areas. Room was small but we didn't head to Wildwood so we could stay in the room. My husband, two children and I were very comfortable in our room for the long weekend.

Kind of a hotel snob, usually stay in Marriott's or Hilton's. The Seahorse was very nice, remodeled, but small room. Reasonably priced, great location. Would definately come back.

Stay away at all costs. They work with Booking.com (which advertises FREE CANCELLATION). Good luck trying to get through to their customer service as they're based in England. Also they want confirmation and pin numbers to start. When trying to contact the hotel you get busy signal. No response from the Seahorse at all. Best suggestion is to stay at a hotel out of Wildwood NJ. As they are all about money any which way they can get it. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED TO STAY AWAY

Great place to stay!! I loved the updated room, not your typical outdated beach motel. It's small but, serves its purpose. We had a room with 2 queen beds. Beds were great, I actually slept well. Everything is new and clean. So happy I chose the Seahorse Inn. I never leave reviews, but felt this place deserves it! Definitely will come back and recommend this place. Owners were very nice and helpful.

Clean, newly renovated, friendly staff. Pool is immaculate and wonderful. Rooms are very nice, well furnished, comfortable. Will return and recommend.

The room did not depict the inside, it was very nice and comfortable. That was about the only nice thing about this place. The general manager was a rude person. The rules are very strict. You have to shower before you get inside your room. Family members that aren't sleeping in the room/ on the room booking cannot step foot in your room or on the grounds of the hotel.

The hotel is a minute walk from the seashore and boardwalk. Lots to do around general area for kids and families. The bedrooms were clean, and beds really nice. The pool is small but kept in tip top shape. Not too many in pool so never really a problem. I would stay there again and again!

They clearly have no standards here, people were openly smoking marijuana outside the rooms, it smelled like it everywhere. The rooms are fairly small, but it is a motel so that isn't really an issue.

Clean, accommodating, close to the beach. The owners were particularly friendly. They helped us with parking even though we had more vehicles than rooms (technically you get one spot per room).

If you're looking for a place to relax with your family that feels like home, this is it. It's a block from the boardwalk. The rooms and pool are updated and clean. The maid staff was more than willing to provide anything to make your stay more comfortable. But, the front desk staff goes above and beyond to be helpful. When I was here, I lost something important in the parking lot without my name on it. Not only did the clerk remember my name, he called me and returned it. First class service. Starbucks in the lobby starts the day off right too. Give this motel a try.
