46-Year-Old Seal Rock Inn Restaurant Closes for Good After Massive Rent Hike - Eater SF

"According to the owner of the Seal Rock Inn Restaurant, which for 46 years has served a mix of locals and tourists from its perch on Point Lobos Avenue, the establishment will not reopen when the pandemic ends. This is, sadly, not surprising news in itself, as a great many SF standbys may not make it through these days of COVID-19 limbo. But in this case, its owner says, the culprit isn’t the public health crisis, but an unexpected rent hike." - Adam Brinklow

I’ve had brunch here three times since it’s reopening and the food just gets better with each visit. Order the French toast with candied pecans and fried bananas for the table to share. This French toast is legit. No need for a knife, the weight of the fork slices through the custard soaked bread. Egg dishes are cooked perfectly. Mimosas have fresh squeezed orange juice! It’s always nice when servers make regular visits to the table to refill your coffee.

Although fairly steep in price for the portions, the incredibly delicious food, great location, and beautiful decor make it very worth it. The dishes were presented beautifully and tasted great, and there were many dishes to choose from. Service staff were a bit understaffed it seemed, but our food came out fairly quickly and the staff were kind and helpful.

Marvelous views, forgettable chews! Took Papa Always for breakfast before a hike in Lands End. The service was quick and friendly. The ambiance was upscale but not too stuffy. Plenty of sunshine pours through the windows and a glimpse of the mighty Pacific will dazzle your eye. In regards to value: the prices are high but not unreasonable. That said, while the dishes were sufficient, I can't quite bring myself to rave about them.

Had brunch here twice already. Food is very fresh. Love the French twist to it. Ordered chicken and waffles. Had salmon with brioche and an omelette. Chef knows what he is doing. Ive got a new spot for brunch now. It's going to get even more busy when more people find out about the new ownership. The bathrooms were all remodeled and is clean showing a Montmartre flair

Came here because someone wanted to meet here. Had the French toast, it was pretty good. Dont add the banana and peacons, its a waste of money. The cappuccino was so good, and the server was very rude. Not once did anyone check on us or ask if everything was OK. Waiter set bill down and left. I asked him if they had tap and pay and his response was completely rude. Definitely won't go back. I do NOT recommend this place.

Google
The service and views were great. I was not impressed with my meal. My burger lacked flavor and wasn't cooked to what was requested (overcooked it). The fries were good. My friends said they really liked their scrambles and latte. It was very convenient after having just hiked Lands End.

Google
I dont understand the 4.1 rating. It's one of the few if not the only place with a view of the sea in the area. Food came fast, tasted pretty good. Wasn't that expensive (I come from nyc, doesn't get more expensive than that). Spent 20.64 for a BLT sandwich and a Diet Coke.

I rarely post unless I have an exceptionally good or bad experience. Unfortunately this was the latter. This was their soft opening. We got there at 10:44 am and waited about 10 min. We had front row view of the disorganized service. They were slow to take orders, clear tables, take checks, and seat people even with 4 waitresses. We watched a disgruntled couple paying at the counter because they waited so long at their table. I had to eventually remind the hostess/waitress that there was an empty table for us in the back before she seated us. Okay so to be fair the wait was 12 min, not bad. I asked to order right away because I knew where this was going if I just sat and waited. They didn't come back so I walked to the counter and watched her painfully put in my order, but she was sweet and was trying. I sat back down and waited. I also had to get up to ask for water that i already asked for earlier. We thought the table next to us was done eating, but after a long time their food came and we were shocked. We knew we were going to be waiting a long time for the food. After 30 min, I checked on our order and waitress was apologetic, explaining that it was their soft opening. After 40 min, our food finally came but my family grumpy for sure. Food was very average. I will say that the French toast was pretty fluffy, but it did soggy towards the end. The chicken with the chicken and waffles was weirdly chalky, bland, and dry. Waffle was okay, average. Breakfast banh mi had a nice presentation but I can't speak on the flavor since I didn't try it. I walked up to counter to get the check as I didn't want to wait another hour like family next to us, by then I knew the drill. Waitress printed out the wrong check which I quickly pointed out. She printed one and then another, comping our coffee as an apology. I appreciated that. I understand that this is a soft opening but 40 minutes wait time for food and my need to walk up to ask for every little thing is not pleasant, enjoyable, or acceptable. If you do go, just be mentally prepared for this.

Yelp
So glad the Seal Rock Inn Restaurant has opened after 3 years in the dark. Just breakfast and lunch by a famous French chef. Urban living at its best at Lands End in San Francisco, a beautiful view of the ocean doesn't hurt. Thanks for opening! I'm getting happier because of you!

Yelp
So glad to see the Seal Rock Inn restaurant back in business. I went here last weekend with friends for brunch and enjoyed everything about it. Fantastic views. The new owners have upped the quality of the brunch menu. The coffee was great, which should be a given but unfortunately at many places is not.

Yelp
Amazing food and quick service! Loved it and we will be back! What a view! We look forward to eating dinner there, soon. Seal Rock lookout is where I first kissed my wife, 43 years ago. The area is special to San Francisco. Now if the Cliff House will open again!! Hopes!

Yelp
Great Foods Friendly Service Amazing Views I highly recommend this quaint little Parisian Inspired Cafe owned and operated By French Michelin Star Chef Alfred Schilling Open 7 Days a Week 8am to 2 pm

Yelp
We stopped here on a Monday for lunch. Ordered omelet Chèvre- I had better. Can be improved. Mexicaine- it's ok. I expected more since it's SF.

Yelp
We just have breakfast at the newly re-opened Seal Rock Inn Restaurant. Wow! What a difference 4 years and a new owner makes! I have never been a big fan of sourdough bread despite long time in SF, and I told the waitress that I didn't like sourdough. She told me she understood but that their sourdough was handmade in the French county style and was very different from anything I'd like ever had and so so should try. After all, she said, our chef IS French and he should know how to do it! I tried it and wow! I like sourdough now! At least theirs!

Yelp
Such a pleasure to return to the Seal Rock Inn restaurant. Now under the fresh leadership of veteran restaurateur Alfred Schilling, the new menu features ingredients familiar to his native France. I enjoyed a Croque Madame with fresh orange juice, and with excellent service. Many years ago I was a regular lunch customer of Chef Schilling at his original chocolate shop and bistro on Market Street. It was great to see him again in this updated and lovely location with sweeping views of park and ocean. Bon appetit!

Yelp
After reading several reviews about this place after it reopened, decided to give it a try. Setting is wonderful as most tables provide some View of the pacific ocean. This new management /staff demonstrates a know how of customer service (which is severely lacking in most establishments today). With a limited menu, a good thing, the food is actually quite good and prices are fairly reasonable. This place warrants a return trip or two.

Howard B.

Yelp
I went there today with a friend after hearing this was reopened by a French chef. I saw no sign of anything French. The ambiance is nice as are the bathrooms, but the food is nothing special. I ordered the burger that was overcooked as I had asked for medium rare. None of the wait staff ever came over to see how we were enjoying our meal, etc., but when the bill came they wanted an 18% tip....for what I am not sure. Whoever this French chef is better step up or this place will again be getting cobb webs.

Yelp
Seal rock Inn was always my wife and I go to place for breakfast. I almost always get eggs Benedict, so of course when we went this time I had to try the eggs Benedict to see how they compared to the restaurants old eggs Benedict. The food was very similar, taste was really good. Service was great. They use the different style ham now on the eggs Benedict, but I still enjoyed it a lot. The owner and Cook came up to see how our meal was, that was very nice of him. I would definitely recommend going there

Yelp
Memories when they served Mediterranean food. We got in just in time and didn't wait. I parked up the street. Plenty of parking just a block away. Gorgeous view of ocean. Seats were a bit too close. Someone commented on our conversation. I had the Florentine Benedict. Every time I look at eggs, I feel bad there aren't much around. Because of Bird flu. Mine was a tad too runny. I'm usually very careful. Also water gushed out. That never happened. The whole thing was delicious. I'm a "don't salt my food too much" person, so this was perfect. The hollandaise sauce was perfect. Bread as well, not a muffin but this held up well with spinach and tomato. Coffee was good. Service was great, you ask, they come through. Enjoyable. My eating mate raved about the original benedict. We substituted the fries for potatoes. I'm not a fan of French fries. One guy had a really good looking hamburger and fries. He finished his fries before eating his hamburger. This is a bit of eat and go and let someone have your seat kind of place. Restroom was 5 stars. Hand blower was in gold.

Yelp
A friend and I were excited to try here and always looking for a new breakfast place. Both were disappointed. Ordered Eggs Florentine without tomato- which although the server repeated the request.... there were tomatoes. The brioche bread didn't work for us... too bready and tasted old. Friend had mushroom ragout .. came on same brioche...seems everything does ? Server never checked in on us during the meal. Food looked good but was bland

Yelp
We arrived on Sunday morning after a walk and were promptly seated. The view, service, and food were all top notch (no leftovers!). We will definitely be back!

Donna G.

Yelp
What a nice renovation! Excellent food, service and views. Plentiful breakfast and brunch choices. The French toast was amazing, such a unique presentation and was absolutely delicious! Looking forward to another visit soon.

Yelp
Service was quick and friendly. We were fans of the old Seal Rock restaurant and couldn't wait to try it again since it reopened under new ownership. Waffle was excellent! It was crispy and served with maple syrup and cream. I was disappointed with my Eggs Florentine. The lemon hollandaise was light and flavorful but the bread they used was a bit stale. Also, the menu said it comes with a side of potatoes but mine came with french fries. Asked the waitress if I could get regular potatoes and she said 'no' that these are the potatoes they serve. When leaving I noticed other tables had received regular potatoes with their eggs and other breakfast dishes. My husband ordered the burger which was dry. I might give it another try to see if things improve.

Yelp
DON'T DO IT. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND THE CALORIES. Seal Rock Inn Diner was a frequently visited restaurant throughout my childhood. Good tasty diner food at reasonable prices. The staff would greet our family and chit chat with warm, caring demeanor. My cousins and I were sad to see it close down years ago but excited to see it opening back up. Unfortunately the warmth, quality, and prices left with the previous owners. I heard they opened up on Jan 2nd and we dined on Jan 8th. The atmosphere was similar to the past, layout the same, maybe some new flooring but also very similar to what it looked like. We were seated promptly and immediately asked if we wanted coffee or tea or any other beverages. We both chose coffee and were handed menus. I definitely had an idea about what I wanted but the waitress talked about how the chicken and waffles were her fav so thats what I ordered. Ugh. After ordering we were served bitter, brown, sludge masked as coffee. It was awful. So awful I sent it back and asked for a cup of tea instead of the coffee, apologized and said "thank you" for making the change. Even said "is that ok?". Tea came in a single serve tea pot and a Tazo tea bag, perfect. Food arrived. No thought put into the plating. I immediately frowned at the french fries. Gone are the rustic hash brown or country potatoes and move in the overpriced frozen french fries (labeled as "potatoes frites" on the menu). Bleh. The waffle tasted like it was instant just add water cardboard. The highlight of the plate was the chicken that was moist and not overdone. My friend had a Benedict and sausage patties that I didn't try but she said the patties tasted burnt. The check arrived and we were shocked!! $80 for mediocre diner breakfast with no ambiance?!? At first I thought they charged us twice but realized we were charged for $6 for a teabag as well as being charged for the crap coffee that we sent back. I was so mad I paid and immediately left. This place turned from cute, warm diner to crappy tourist trap. I won't be returning.

Yelp
It's open, hooray! The Seal Rock Inn Restaurant reopened today. We were seated in 15 minutes and we received our drinks promptly. While we waited a bit for our food (we expected it for the first day of business), it was worth the wait! I ordered the French Toast with a side of bacon and my husband ordered the Chicken and Waffles. Both were delicious and worth the wait! The staff were nice and were apologetic about the wait but we were excited to back and enjoyed a couple cups of coffees, while our son sipped in cranberry juice (on the house). We will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
So happy this location was brought back to life, with a French twist. My eggs tasted fresh, and the candy spice bacon was delish. My chai latté was disappointing - tasted like powder w/sour milk. Didn't try the French dishes; next time. Hope you keep doing better. Thanks again for opening it back up

Yelp
So I'm torn between a three and a 4 star. I've been three times since the new opening (no judgment I live right there!) and I've ordered the same sandwich each time. The Cuban. The first time I ordered it was amazing and definitely a 20 dollar sandwich. See pic. The next time I got it had one egg. Yesterday when I went it had one egg, wasn't cut, no pickle, and the ham and bacon on it was all on one side. Bummer. The bread is good and the sandwich is delightful but I was bummed about quality control on it. I also understand they have to keep costs down and will be playing w the menu and working out kinks for a bit so I plan to try again. My biggest gripe besides the lack of consistency on the sandwich is the coffee. It's 8 dollars for a fancy cup of coffee pretty standard. When it arrived yesterday it was literally half the coffee cup filled. I suspect it's a machine coffee maker but like the cup looked like it was half full. I felt bad complaining but an 8 dollar cup of coffee shouldn't be two sip fulls. I didn't say anything as staff seemed very busy. I had the caramel macchiato yesterday. Prior I had the mocha, which filled the cup. The first time I had the coffee. Very burnt tasting. My husband has had two other sandwiches and liked them both. Again I thought the food tasted good just disheartened by the lack of consistency. Also.. switching potatoes to fruit for a healthier option shouldn't be such a huge add on. Maybe half of what they are charging but that thought doesn't affect my review as it is what it is.

Yelp
We were glad to see that the Seal Rock Inn had re-opened! Went for breakfast on a Wednesday morning, and arrived before 10:00am. Easy parking and not too busy, but it got very by the time we left. I ordered a Parisien Omlette which included some very stiff sourdough toast. (By the way, It was really toasted, not like the "warm bread" you get most places that passes for toast.) My omlette was cooked to perfection and my friend ordered Eggs Benedict which looked perfect as well! Here's came with an order of French fries, which she was not expecting, while mine came with home fried potatoes. We both ordered tea, but they brought out a pot of hot water and two mugs with teabags. They did not offer us a choice of tea and automatically brought an unspecified black tea which tasted fine, perhaps a Darjeeling. The view was lovely, and as we were getting ready to leave a large group of seniors was assembling at the corner window table. The place started filling up and as l was leaving the chef greeted us and inquired how we enjoyed our meal. I spied some soup crocs up on the shelf behind him, and I look forward to returning for some French onion soup for lunch sometime!

Juliette K.

Yelp
The food was a disappointment. The hollandaise sauce had no flavor, the French fries were soggy and the coffee was bitter. The service was attentive, ambience was okay, but the food needed a definite upgrade.
google avatar

Deborah D.

Yelp
Tried it twice. Missing ingredients in omelette as well as sending back totally undercooked omelettes. The most bitter tasting coffee, when staff Finally served it to you. Staff is running around but totally unprofessional and disoriented. Gave it 2 chances because I want to support local businesses.

Suzanne B.

Yelp
Read they'd just reopened: "new chef, great food". Does not disappoint. Ordered my regular scrambled eggs and sausage. Eggs were lighter, fluffier, better than any I try to make at home. Sausage was homemade, delicious, and so generous that I took home a second patty for tomorrow's breakfast . Efficient, kind service. And there are amazing views of Land's End. Foggy this Saturday AM. I've lived in SF for decades and had never eaten here. I will now be a regular customer. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Michael C.

Yelp
Great new addition to the neighborhood, solid brunch spot. Will be going back. They're still working out the kinks.: Omelette was light and tasty, roasted potatoes were perfect. The bread was excellent but toasted and served cold so that could be improved. Decent coffee. Prices feel reasonable, given the current price of eggs, but maybe offer slightly bigger portions, double down on that delicious bread, or find another way for the offerings to stand out. Overall strong opening and look forward to seeing improvements and coming back again soon.

Scott M.

Yelp
Went in for brunch around 12pm on Saturday. Seated promptly, service was fine. Food was flavorless with poor quality ingredients. My wife ordered the Eggs Benedict Florentine which for some reason came with bagged french fries with zero seasoning or salt. We've been eagerly awaiting the reopening and unfortunately have no desire to return until we hear about an ingredient overhaul.
google avatar

Craig Z.

Yelp
So happy that we came here for breakfast from the other side of town. Walked in around 9:30 on a Sunday and the place was busy but they seated us right away at a window table with ocean views. We enjoyed the French inspired menu. The Parisian omelette was delish. The kids had hot chocolate and waffles. We'll be back.
google avatar

Robin M.

Yelp
Today, my friend and I had a very positive experience for our first time at the newly opened Seal Rock Inn Restaurant. We both enjoyed the fluffy and flavorful omelettes and the potatoes were hot and yummy! The staff was friendly and attentive the whole time and on our way out, we got to meet and thank the chef. I also LOVED that there was no background music which made it so easy to talk...how rare is that! I will definitely return.

N G.

Yelp
5 stars full stop! Chef Alfred has returned Seal Rock to all of its fans past and future ..As the interior is so familiar, the new menu exquisite. Brunch for us was perfectly prepared omelette (Chèvre). olives mushrooms goat cheese arugula with loving sides : potatoes, grilled slice of rustic bread, sweetest little half tomato and a beautiful strawberry marmalade (I think) jam. Benedict choices scrumptious we tried the crab of course and was the best ever. so grateful to Chef for bringing his artistry to such a beautiful scenic spot where we can savor french brunch at the edge of our city as it greets the sea.

Nayla G.

Yelp
Great food great view great people! Owner was happy tot all to us on the way out. Same seal rock inn but better food! Chai tea latte was perfect got but not burning hot so I could actually drink and enjoy it! Food delicious and quick service. All breads made in house and they are excellent!

Callie C.

Yelp
New restaurant reopened 1/2/2025. It is attached to the updated (family-owned) Inn. Nice views to the ocean as it is perched at Geary Blvd and 48th Avenue. Chef Schilling leased the restaurant space 1/2/2025--liquor license pending! Fabulous food, service and views. This is separately owned from the Inn, which has been family-owned for 3 generations.

Tyler S.

Yelp
Great views of the Pacific from the window seat of this iconic restaurant. The florentine omelette was served so hot and quickly, and the delicious Meyer lemon hollandaise was perfectly paired with poached eggs and homemade pan anglace, delicious! My server was right there to refill my cup of steaming dark roast coffee. Thanks!

Constance J.

Yelp
I think this restaurant just opened, so I want to give the staff a little grace. But there are definitely some issues to iron out. First, it took about 45 minutes for our breakfast to come out. Then, when it did come out, my eggs benedict was cold. And, my friend's Parisian omelette was interesting - it was like a massive pile of cold ham on top of a cheese omelette. The banh mi was good though. Overall, staff was very friendly and helpful, but because of the cold food and long wait times I won't be back for a bit. It's a great location, and I hope this restaurant succeeds!

Joana V.

Yelp
There have been many changes in the San Francisco food since COVID; so many great restaurants closed, and some not-so-great ones opened. I must say, however, that one really awesome restaurant to re-open is the SEAL ROCK INN RESTAURANT near the old Cliff House. It's no surprise that the new place is now run by Chef extraordinaire ALFRED SCHILLING. Man, can that guy cook! Breakfast is breakfast - but not really; when you eat breakfast cooked by Chef Alfred, it's an incredible experience. All I can say is do yourself a favor and go there!! The place is pretty, and Parisian-like (the bathrooms are really beautiful and clean, thank you !!!). We ordered the Eggs Florentine with a side of avocado - generous portions, potatoes were divine! Eggs were perfectly poached and so yummy - so yellow; we love that he uses organic products! The homemade brioche buns were so good...and the mountain of spinach with the creamy Hollandaise sauce was equally delicious. We also ordered the Mushroom and eggs dish that was simply to die for; what a unique array of mushrooms! Alas, we also ordered the French toast with candied pecans...ummm, MORE PLEASE!!! This place is definitely not to be missed. Coffee and service were great, as well.
google avatar

Patrick D.

Yelp
We had brunch for two on Friday. Traditional eggs Benedict with ham and the florentine version with spinach. The eggs were perfectly soft in the center and the house made hollandaise sauce was light and delicious. Excellent friendly and prompt service. We are very happy that this restaurant is back open and will definitely return. The restaurant itself is a lovely space with sea lions etched glass partitions and views out over Lands End to the Pacific Ocean. What could be better?

Lesley C.

Yelp
Delicious french style infused breakfast/brunch. Try the bouillabaisse omelet, it was very tasty! Attentive, kind service. Attractive restaurant in fantastic location. New fav spot.

Robin m.

Yelp
Florentine benedict was outstanding and a good value. Orange marmalade- house made- was delicious. Avocado toast is more like guacamole toast, and generous portion. The coffee harkened back to the old diner- could be better. So happy that the new owner is taking a chance on this space.

Yelp
I was excited to try this newly (re) opened spot. The views and atmosphere were nice. Service was ok. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered the crab Benedict which comes on a brioche bun (not English muffin) that was extremely soggy and burnt on one side. My friend ordered the croque monsieur which had no Bechamel and was topped with a very undercooked egg. Both came with fries, which were probably the best thing I ate, although strange to serve with a Benedict. We both ordered a side of candied bacon. A server came over about 10 minutes later to let us know that they had run out. So we opted for regular bacon instead. It tasted old, possibly cooked in a fryer. We were still charged for the candy bacon. The coffee tasted old and burnt. Definitely not worth the $6. The entire bill for 2 people was about $150, with no alcohol. They do not have a liquor license. The Chef came out to chat which was nice. I hope this place is able to work out the kinks. This end of the city could really use a nice restaurant. I may check it out again in a few months.

Mari M.

Yelp
Surprised to read the bad reviews. We were here on a weekday for lunch, and while they were very busy, the food and service were excellent.

Arlene P.

Yelp
Friendly staff, good coffee, Crab Benedict ($30) terrible. Bottom layer bread, followed by bland spinach, poached egg, topped with some unflavored white sauce. Cold, unflavored crab meat on the side. They could have mentioned no crab patties available, but didn't. Cold frozen french fries accompanied the meal. Walked out of restaurant totally disappointed.

Malk H.

Yelp
After being closed for 5 years was excited to try the newly owned Seal Rock. What a letdown, had a $19 Cuban sandwich made with tough bread, almost impossible to cut with a knife, no roast pork, 1 sliver of pickle. Basically a greasy grilled ham and cheese with an egg on top. Service was slow and as an added bonus got charged $6 for a horrible glass of Lipton ice tea that they never offered to refill. Won't be going back.

Thomas U.

Yelp
The veggie breakfast burrito cold and tasted bland. Instead of potatoes they gave us french fries. On top of that it was very expensive.

Caroline D.

Yelp
I had a lovely lunch, a delicious omelet, last week. The ambience is welcoming, fresh and comfortable. The service was friendly and efficient. When we were served, our food was just the right temperature. The location, right across the street from an entrance to Lands End, makes it a great spot to refuel after a morning hike. The prices were reasonable and comparable to restaurants with similar menus. I'm looking forward to returning for the Croque Madame.

Sergeja E.

Yelp
So happy to see this restaurant restored. Great Parisian decor and cuisine. The Pacific Ocean is your view as you dine. The staff are attentive. The menu is quite extensive compared to other dining options. We will definitely be back and recommend to friends. Oh yeah and the bathrooms are clean and amazing.

Sheila K.

Yelp
With all the hype about the new, improved, haute French cuisine, I was expecting to pay more at the reopened Seal Rock Inn, but not to be disappointed in the food. Firstly, I was surprised that in 2024 SF, there was no vegan option, except to leave the egg off the avocado toast (still $18) , but never have I had avocado toast anywhere else that was served so blandly, with no veggie garnish or even chili flakes. My friend 's eggs Benedict looked thrown on the plate with some errant French fries. The old SRI had home fries, Jams on the table, and all together a better sense of providing for customers, at half the price. Service was OK.

Dave Y.

Yelp
Wait staff seems clueless. My wife ordered a salad with her burrito. It came with fries. She was halfway through her meal when my burger arrived. I asked for medium. It was well, very well, done. It takes a while to cook a thick burger to that level on doneness. Avoid this place.

Bean A.

Yelp
I was excited to see the restaurant re-opening with a new chef and baker. Today, I sat at a window table overlooking Lands End having Eggs Florentine and coffee. It was delicious and the staff was excellent - they knew just when to come over and anticipated my needs. Eventhough the Bistro has been open for only 2 weeks, it was functioning smoothly and the staff was really well trained. I definitely will return.

joana v.

Yelp
I always like to try new places and having been familiar with Alfred Schilling's restaurants and fine dining in the past I decided to make the track! The food did not disappoint on Beyonce did not disappoint staff were great. It's nice to see an old classic location be turned into something that will quickly become a neighborhood favorite. Of course being recently opened they will work on refining their flow but everything considered, it was really a great experience. There were a few of us in our group so we were able to order a variety of the menu which was really delicious, nicely plated and presented. Great to have this French inspired restaurant in the neighborhood!

mike l.

Yelp
We had an excellent Benedict breakfast and already want to go back and try other items on the menu! I've gone there many times for many years, and was very sad when it closed. Having it open again is the best thing for that area. The new owners did an awesome job on the interior by keeping some of the place but upgrading everything especially the quality of the food! Congratulations to the chef and impeccable service!

Marilyn M.

Yelp
Was looking forward to going when I heard it reopened. I had read it was reopening as a French bistro style place. It definitely isn't unless having French toast and a croque madame on the menu qualifies. Ordered LeBurger which was their version of a cheeseburger. It was supposed to have grilled onions but had yellow bell pepper instead. I had coffee which was terrible. The burger was okay. Service was terrible. Never got water which we had asked for when we were seated, so asked again midway through the meal and we got it. I would wait a while to try this place and let them hopefully work out the kinks.
