It's a bar...where the grown folks act a damn fool. The food trucks outside were good as well.

Had an amazing time here visiting the city on holiday from UK. Fantastic friendly & welcoming crowd, & special thanks to Lloyd who I spent ages chatting to about music & life. From Brum with Love xoxo

Went to a concert with some friends. It is a real juke joint. The crowd was so large the performers Bailey had room to sing. Other than that it was a great time. Good drinks and music!

The owner is extremely rude. She is very tacky and has no respect for her consumers. I went there on a Wednesday and had a great time for my birthday. Her staff is phenomenal by the way. I enjoyed myself for my brief visit there and decided to return on Friday night. Unfortunately this is the night I met the owner who before attempting to have an adult conversation, decided to tell me to leave because she assumed I was not drinking(My friend was ordering my drink for me). You can't sit, you can't stand, nor can you breathe if she doesn't see a drink. She also doesn't mind starting confrontation with patrons. I would not recommend this place to anyone or anything.

Always a good time when we go to Seal's Class Act! I love the fact that it's always an older crowd. You know people around my age. Always a good time. Music is always good, good drinks, and Seal herself and the bar staff are always so nice and friendly

Google
Very exceptional spot, where grown folks come together and act a fool in a good way,my best place to go on a weekend and dance the night away and have fun with friends and family, and the owner is a nice woman who shares her love with the community.

I flew in from Los Angeles at 2am on a Saturday morning. Ms Seal kept the bar open for myself and my group of friends. She welcomed us with open arms and made us feel right at home. We were invited back Sunday night to enjoy the live band. Thank you Ms Seal... you really are a Class Act 🍾🥂

Yelp
Man New Orleans doesn't disappoint with the lil cafe' juke joint establishments ! Visited seals while in town from Houston and man hate I had to leave the club but had to catch that flight back to Houston !! Love the ol school music mixed in with a little hip hop every few tracks or so. I'd recommend getting there early on Saturday nights very limited seating . Average age was about 50 .cool people for the most part always one that get too drunk and annoying ... but most everyone in there was friendly and easy going! If RnB southern soul , old school music your thing this is the place to be !!

Yelp
Fun and laid back place to relax, party and dance in NOLA. Mrs. Seal who runs the place is a "class act" and is like a queen in the neighborhood.

Yelp
Lets start with their motto ' Where grown folks come to act a fool' This place is so laid back that you might think youre visiting a friend. The decor is very haphazard and probably hasnt been updated in over a decade which gives you that 'we dont give a care' attitude and neither should you. There is a long bar as soon as you walk in and a room for a band and then as you keep walking there is another large room with a pool table etc. I stayed in the front room so I cant tell you much more. They serve drinks set up style( by the pint and half pint) and are moderately priced. The server worked the entire packed room by herself and even took a minute here and there to dance. There is a sign that says tips are appreciated but not required for good service. Thats a first. Its located in a primarily african american neighborhood and the clientele matches. So if this sounds like your kind of place then look no further. The night we were there, one night stand band was playing from 10-2 and rocked the house. They all had great personalities and looked like they genuinely enjoyed performing. Otherwise, there is a resident dj playing all your favorite hits. (Its named after its owner whose nickname is Ms.Seal and a write up about her can be found on a google search)

Yelp
Dude, I dunno how this place has decent reviews at all. Drinks were unpalatable, I'm frankly surprised I didn't go blind from methanol contaminating their booze. Music was mediocre, or would have been at 80-90 decibels... at 120 it was terrible. The other issue, of course, is that I'm still listening to it in my bedroom down the block two hours later because they've cranked the volume up further at 2 am on Monday. Also the owner is a complete nightmare, saw her badgering people who weren't drinking enough for her tastes while listening to the music. Seriously, avoid like the plague. I love holes-in-the-wall, but this place gives them all a bad name. If I could subtract stars I would.

Yelp
Wonderful weekend acts and crowd. The drinks are small but strong and mighty. I can't wait to return. If Lisa Amos is performing, you are in for an incredible treat.

Yelp
My sister brought me to Seal's Class Act (hole in the wall bar room), to purchase Fish Plates. She had visited the place before and said the food was really good. It was my first time coming to the establishment. My sister knew the cashier and bragged about how great the Macaroni and Cheese tasted. When we arrived the cashier was there but she really didn't know my Sister just by her reaction. My sister knew her through a family member. Anyway I order two Fish Plates. The FB ad that was posted, stated the Fish plates were $12 so I reached the cashier $40. but I was only charged $10 each because she gave me $20 back. She said they are $10 each. We seen the ad on Facebook about what was included with the Fried Fish plates so I never asked. While we were waiting My sister had mentioned to the Cashier how good her Mac & Cheese had tasted. Once I received my Plates we walked to the car. Once inside I opened the plates and we were shocked. There was NO Mac and Cheese. A little scoop of Potato Salad, a scoop of peas, one slice of bread cut in half, and one fillet of Catfish. They were not worth $10. Before we pulled off we asked the cook do they have Mac and Cheese? She said they didn't have Mac and Cheese that's why the plates were $10. The cashier should have mentioned there was no Mac and Cheese especially because it was the main reason we came for the plates. We only received one fillet of Catfish with very small portions. The plates were only worth $8. If they would have mentioned the plates only came with one fillet and no Mac and Cheese, I would have bought two extra fillet's. So all in all the customer service wasn't great, the Fish was fried well but tasted salty. There wasn't even a slice of cake. I don't drink liquor and I definitely won't go there to purchase food again.

Yelp
Nice neighborhood bar. Went in on a Friday night after work on a whim. Nice down home atmosphere. Ordered a set up and had a seat at a table. To my surprise later, a band was setting up. (I'm a sucker for live music) I was intrigued. The band started playing and I had the best time. Everyone was having fun and I felt safe in this establishment. I will definitely go back again.

Yelp
What a great time!! Seal's Dj was on point, and the vibe was awesome all throughout the venue!!

Yelp
Mel Waters clearly said it best. Let's go baby....to the hole in the wall. I think I've previously told yall one of the ways to my heart is a setup and a good fried chicken plate. You can get that and so much more at Seal's. A neighborhood bar room located in the 7th ward with two bars, a pool table, and limited seated. But like they say the smaller the club the bigger the party. I've been on nights where there's live music, couples celebrating wedding anniversaries, or just your regular Friday night fun. You gotta be 30+ years of age to get in which I absolutely love. Sometimes you just wanna get away from the babies and party with some grown folk. If you don't mind hearing a lil Frankie Beverly, Tucka, Isley Brothers, The Gap Band, Anita Baker or even some Juvenile or Boosie...this might be the spot for you...or even your mama :-) And added bonus...if you catch a night where there's someone outside barbecuing or frying up some seafood you're in for a treat!

Yelp
Worst customer service experience ever!! Rude management! The security was nice and tried to be accommodating, but piss poor management will kill you every time
