"This surf and turf retreat lives in the JW Marriott Bonnet Creek. The drive up to the property is dramatic enough; valet services and a McLaren parked out front merely add to the luxury factor.  Make your way through the sleek lobby and past the rowdy bar to arrive at this well-designed space, featuring white marble tables, nooks in neutral hues and an outdoor section with flaming heaters. The menu is as classic as it gets, with twists on locally sourced meats and seafood. A wood-fired grill is responsible for churning out top-grade steaks with chimichurri or béarnaise; while Alaskan King crab may be matched with dill and onion dip. Sides, like potato purée or polenta laced with goat cheese, are almost as decadent as a dessert of s’mores bread pudding.-" - Michelin Inspector

The wine pairing dinner on Saturdays is exceptional! It might seem pricey but is well worth it. The food and service are fantastic, as is the interaction with the chef.

Delicious steakhouse and seafood restaurant! We were excited to try it for the chef - the food flavors did not disappoint. I see what other reviews meant as the wait between each course was long but it may have been because it was busy (we had a 7:30 reservation). Definitely get a reservation as the restaurant does not have a ton of tables. The octopus is a must try, probably the best part of our meal. My husband enjoyed his steak and Caesar. The salads are fresh and the salmon had good flavor. I probably wouldn’t come back for the salmon but would definitely come back to have a steak.

Had the pleasure of dining here over the weekend to celebrate a birthday. I will give them a five star all the way around the ambience was perfect for just about any occasion service above and beyond and what you expect at an establishment like this in the food. Wow . We were all blown away and I can’t wait to go back. This will definitely be one of our regular places for steak.

The food here was BANGIN! I'm not generally a big seafood eater and mostly eat Salmon but the Branzino, Octopus, Scallops (and Salmon, ofcourse) were truly unique. For drinks you need to get the Clover Club and add St-Germain Elderflower (or not if you just want the mocktail). We went to our first Michelin Star restaurant the day before (Knife and Spoon) and it did not compare AT ALL to Sear and Sea. This is easily one of the best restaurants I've ever been to and only have positive things to say about it. Shoutout to our waiter Brad who was also the best waiter I've ever had - he had so much enthusiasm and explained everything on the menu in great detail as well as giving us recommendations. The overall service was incredible and they changedour plates and silverware 3 times! Genuinely surprised that they do not have a Michelin Star as of now (3/25/24). 4/25/25 Update: Still great quality as last year, they did change the pairings/sauces that come with Octopus and Branzino. Still great quality but I prefer the sauces from the version they had last year (see my pictures).

Google
The service is what really distinguishes the seafood and steak restaurant. Diego was our server and every wait staff that tended to us was attentive knew the right description of how each one of the dishes was composed and the flavors that accompanied each dish so it overall made for a positive experience for a high-end steak and seafood restaurant inside the JW Marriott.

Everything from the moment we walked up was excellent! We started our dinner off with cocktails being the enchanted blossom, which was phenomenal. We ordered the artisanal bread and scallops for appetizers and both were really great. For the main course I had the Gunpowder lamb loin. Lamb is typically a dish that I order at most places, but this was by far the best lamb dish I have had. The lamb was so tender that I could use a fork to cut it. The lamb was on top of a coconut masala which was super flavorful. I am not very accustomed to Indian cuisine but I can say this fusion was outstanding. For sides we went with the Brussel sprouts and mac and cheese. Both were incredible but if you had to pick one, then I would say get the brussel sprouts. I honestly don't have the vocabulary or knowledge to describe them other than being among the best I have had. To finish off the meal, I went with the gelato trio, being a cranberry Prosecco gelato, vanilla chai gelato, and green apple white chocolate gelato. All were good but the cranberry prosecco was too icy and not creamy enough like the other two. The gelato was good but nothing to rant and rave about. I did try a bite of the lemon cheesecake and that was outstanding! Overall, if you are looking for an exceptional meal with a beautiful atmosphere and don't mind the price, Sear+Sea is a fantastic option!

Delicious food and excellent service, would highly recommend tuna with watermelon. Outdoor seating provides some good views in the evening. Delicious cocktails, worth checking out the variety of old fashioned they have.

Amazing in all aspects! Diego and Keara our servers has been phenomenal throughout the entire night. Eric the hostess was great and very informative. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Every time I visit this place they knock it out of the park! The service is incredible and the food is unmatched. This is in my TOP 3 best steaks in Orlando‼ Soooooo Good. This JW is beautiful and the restaurant in located right inside the lobby. If you're looking for a great experience, you have to try this place!

Yelp
Although I was staying at the JW Marriott Orlando Bonnet Creek, I decided to dine on property at Sear + Sea since I had read it was a Michelin recommended restaurant. Not sure what qualifies a restaurant as recommended, but it's not the same standard as a restaurant that receives a star or two. I had a 7pm reservation for one and it took over 90 minutes before I paid. In looking back over the evening, there was a 30-minute wait between my appetizer and steak being served. There was no recognition of the delay by my server or his assistant. There were other gaps at the start and end of the service. What surprised me was seeing guests who arrived after me leaving before me. For cocktails, I highly recommend the Flor-De-Mule. The strawberry-hibiscus cordial was the difference maker. Having had octopus at a sushi restaurant, I found it to be excessively chewy. Sear + Sea soaks their octopus in brine for three days before a light grilling. A little chewy, but great flavor. For my steak, I went with a 16-ounce Ribeye. It was prepared as I requested, but I found it to lack the tenderness I'd expect. To pay $75 for a steak, I should get the same quality as the Capital Grille or Ruth's Chris. The Potato Puree was insanely good. It was like eating a buttery potato soup. Yum. Having read other Yelp reviews, I was expecting better service. That would warrant five stars

Yelp
Stayed the weekend at the JW and decided to have one of our dinners at Sear + Sea. I had seen it heavily recommended many times and wanted to check it out for myself. The restaurant itself is nicely done - comfortable without being pretentious. I had on jeans and a nice top and felt appropriately dressed. For appetizers we ordered the bone marrow and the scallops. The bone marrow was good - though there wasn't much in two of the pieces so it felt like we were short changed on that. The scallops were some of the best I've ever had. Very fresh, and the accompaniments all worked well with it. For an entree I ordered the ribeye and as a side, the Mac and cheese. The ribeye was ok, but felt a bit dry to me. The Mac and cheese was phenomenal. Would definitely order again. Overall, I'd eat here again, especiay with the convenience if staying at the JW.

Yelp
I recently dined at Sear + Sea, a high-end steakhouse known for its reputation and luxurious ambiance. While the experience was enjoyable, there were several aspects that fell short of expectations. First and foremost, I ordered the 10oz filet, anticipating a perfectly cooked medium, center-cut piece of meat. Unfortunately, the filet served was not center cut, which was disappointing given the restaurant's high standards and price point. This is something diners need to pay close attention to when ordering to ensure they receive the quality they are paying for. My husband's steak was perfect and I was too disappointed in mine to take a picture. On a more positive note, the gouda cheese macaroni and broccolini were absolutely delicious. The macaroni was creamy and flavorful, with the Gouda cheese adding a rich, smoky dimension. The broccolini was perfectly cooked, with a satisfying crunch and just the right amount of seasoning. However, it's hard to overlook the fact that the overall dining experience felt overpriced. While the sides were excellent, the main attraction--the steak--did not live up to its billing.

Yelp
We're always looking to try lesser known restaurants for locals. This place is inside the JW Marriott at Bonnet Creek. AKA Disney property. The resort is very modern and easy to find. The restaurant is a short walk just beyond the lobby. Servers were very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the bone marrow, shared a ribeye with shrimp, broccolini, and crab grits. All of the dishes were very delicious. We've had bone marrow before at another restaurant in Las Vegas and it was very tasty so we wanted to try it again! The flavor was rich and buttery, with a slight nutty flavor and sweetness from the raisins. Weird, but it worked! The steak was cooked medium and seasoned to perfection. I really enjoyed the broccolini. It was fired grilled with a delicious sauce! Overall the food was great, but I'm not sure the price point aligns with the service and restaurant vibe/decor. For example, no white tablecloth, servers don't serve you your sides, and severs don't clean the crumbs from your table. The price is that of an Eddie Vs or Bull & Bear type restaurants, but the service isn't aligned. It's has a more casual vibe.

Yelp
Came to visit Sear + Seat for my birthday, and the food was phenomenal! Ordered the Grilled Bone Marrow, the Ribeye, and the Branzino. The good: The Grilled Bone Marrow is a must, as it has been my favorite dish to order with how flavorful and succulent it was. The Ribeye was cooked to perfection at medium rare. It didn't have too much fat, which was nice, and it was a good size as well. Service was great, and the waiter was attentive and recommended great dishes and cocktails! The bad: Didn't really enjoy the Branzino, as it had a strong fish taste/smell, which may be because of the bonito ingredient. Overall, if I came back to the restaurant, I would order the Grilled Bone Marrow again!

Yelp
I don't even have the words to describe this spot or our entirely wonderful experience - but I'll try! STAR #1: Located inside the Jw Marriott hotel, the space is GORGEOUS. Floor to ceiling windows that lead to the terrace overlooking the pool, dim lighting with coastal decor, creates the best of vibes. WOW. Our party of 4 was seated in a cozy booth near the entrance, which allowed us to soak in the space yet separated from the busy dining room. Everything was perfect in its' place and yet, felt right at home. STAR #2: Our server was beyond friendly, welcoming and wildly attenuative during our visit. Our friend knew him personally and he truly delivered impeccable service. Our waters were constantly refilled, our cocktails came out in record time, and he frequently came back to check on everything - while providing amazing recommendations for all appetizers, entrees, sides and more. Truly an experience! STAR #3: The cocktails are absolutely delicious! OH MY! To start, we opted for a round of cocktails - dirty martini's, fresh squeezed hibiscus martini, a glass of Don Julio - which kicked off the meal perfectly. They were hand crafted and amazing! Apparently, the wine cellar features over 1,200 different wines from all over the world - and although we didn't partake in the wine - it was impressive none the less! We indulged in a round before ordering appetizers and dinner. STAR #4: THE FOOD! *Chefs kiss* We started with the following appetizers: ++ Freshly baked olive loaf with truffle butter ++ Seared Sea Scallops (3 the size of baseballs!) ++ Charred Octopus ++ Bone Marrow Everything tasted wonderfully fresh, delicious and one-of-a-kind! It was my first time having both octopus and bone marrow and I can officially say, I AM A FAN. woah! For dinner, my friend took the initiative of ordering for the table (I love that!) and we opted for the following: ++ Two 16 oz Ribeye Steaks ++ Two 14 oz Dry Aged New York Strip Steaks ++ Side of jalapeno mac & cheese ++ Crispy Cauliflower ++ Sauteed mushrooms Hands down, the best steak I've ever experienced. HOLY. It was cooked to perfection (medium rare) and totally amazing. The entire meal was totally over the top and extravagant and totally worth it. To say I couldn't finish my meal, before the meat sweats kicked in is an understatement. Everything tasted so delicious, I savored every bite until I was stuffed to the gills. Our server happily boxed up the remainders of our leftovers, provided us with new fresh loaves of bread and I was full until eternity. YUM! While this meal isn't our typical night out due to the prices (WOWZA) but it was the perfect opportunity to indulge in delicious eats with good friends! If in Orlando, I'd easily return again!

Yelp
We came for my partner's birthday and it did not disappoint. We were seated at a booth with a view of the kitchen which seemed to be the best view available. Our server was very knowledgeable and made excellent recommendations. The complimentary mousse was incredible and we loved the scallops and octopus starters, the scallops came to the specially presented. We also especially loved the Mac and cheese and the broccolini sides. My venison was a bit undercooked for medium rare and the carrots also could've been softer. Our drinks were great, and at the end of the meal our waiter recommended we go upstairs to watch the Disney fireworks which was a perfect ending to the night. I would definitely come back.

Yelp
Would you sear a seashell on the seashore? Does a bear sit in the woods? How much wood does a woodchuck chuck? All valid questions for a Friday night, but when you eat at Sear Sea and start makin crazy rhymes all of your life's questions are answered!! It looks like a bar, but the food was really good. We had some broccolini, octopus, crab cakes, and truffle fries. And man did I feel invigorate! Drink of choice was a rockin glass of Prosecco. Service was also rockin Ambiance? Somewhere between sea and shore Prices are JW Marriott style, because if you can afford to stay here, you can afford the crab cakes. Oh, and have a great day!!

Yelp
We had a very nice dinner. Our server was an absolute pro. Tall bearded gentleman around 40. He made this a five star experience. The cocktails were good approaching great. The Bone Marrow and the King Crab were both five stars. The steak was really good. We were unimpressed with the cabbage and the carrots but it did not take away from everything else. I probably would have left 4 stars if not for the service which was great.

Tony J.

Yelp
Overpriced and food was not cooked properly to desired temperature (steaks were cold)

Victor M.

Yelp
The place is in a Disney resort area so traffic is bad around 6pm to 8pm. The hotel is beautiful and offers free valet service. As you walk in the hotel looks like a giant shopping mall. There is an on-site atm as well as a giant bar that's fully stocked. The restaurant was very beautiful and the aromas of fresh cooked meat over a fire linger in the air. The hostest was very helpful and seated us right away. Our server was fabulous and was accommodating even for my picky father. The octopus and artichokes came up first. The octopus was not over cooked and rubbery and the artichokes looked like chicken wings and were divine. The wine list was to die for and I didn't get a photo but the steak omg was grilled to perfection. The quality of the meat was very good and the cool part is you can watch the chefs work depending on where you sit. The night was fantastic end to our busy day at the beach.

Jessica S.

Yelp
Pros: *beautiful restaurant in a beautiful hotel *friendly and attentive servers *drinks were very good *food was delicious, extravagant presentation Cons: *had to pay $40 for self parking for a 3 hour dinner (we didn't check if this could have been validated, but still...that's so excessive) *we were in the private room for a large group -- the table was extremely wide which made passing appetizers/sides pretty difficult *it was very warm and stagnant in that room *desserts were a little disappointing after the meal we had

Yelp
I'm here at the property for a conference and was entertaining a customer for dinner here. Was super convenient and there was good reviews about the food. I had one drink, it was a twist on the mule and was beautifully served. Our server (I don't remember her name but our receipt says Zeljka) was really helpful, professional, and gave great advice when asked about her opinion. Our table placement gave my side a direct view into the open kitchen with the Argentinian style grill. One chef was working that area, keeping me thrilled with the activity. Giant block of Himalayan sea salt there as well. Cool visuals for sure. We started with the sourdough and it came with two seasoned butters. Popular for sure. The tuna carpaccio is not that large so sharing isn't the best on that part. Since we had our group happy hour and event earlier, I went with the scallops and the lobster bisque. Both were tremendous! Plated beautifully, the bisque was rich, thick and creamy with a giant piece of lobster in the bowl to make sure you knew what you're getting. Scallops were plated so pretty, and the sauces and pickled garnish were a fantastic bite. Three giant sea scallops for $19. That's not horrible. Two members of our group ordered different fishes. One was pretty salty so it was returned and replaced. Other than that- everything was just really delicious. I recommend visiting here. The next night I was at the bar and got a great snack of the bar food. Charcuterie plate and truffle fries. I'll need a big time visit to the gym when I get home but it was all worth it while here. Thanks to the team here for a great meal and experience with my customer. Fantastic job!

Rigo A.

Yelp
Fantastic experience sear and sea. Everything was great from the service to the food. The waitress made great recommendations and every dish was fantastic. The octopus was delicious, perfectly charred and paired with a great sauce. The ribeye was chefs kiss, perfectly cooked and tender. Can't wait to return here.

Chirag M.

Yelp
Came here twice for dinner and both meals were amazing! The branzino was cooked to perfection (although I do think they could notch it up on the seasoning. The Brussels sprouts were one of the best Brussels sprouts I've had. It's a huge portion so plan to share! The tuna crudo appetizer was delicious, however it's a tiny portion. The scallops were decent. Best part of my experience was the service. Justin was simply amazing!! His overall service and recommendations were on point!

Angel M.

Yelp
Very disappointed. Let's start with the good: Service was phenomenal. Drinks were delicious The bad...food was almost not edible: Octopus. Overcooked and tasteless. Shrimp Cocktail: mediocre. We like a slightly spicer cocktail sauce and this one was bland. Steak and fish entrees were ok. Ambiance wasn't as high-end as you would expect from a restaurant of this level. Overall it was extremely disappointing. Not worth coming back. Stick to their Illume Japanese rooftop bar and grill that was phenomenal.

Kat M.

Yelp
Eh. You know that guy you're excited to go on a 2nd date with who ends up ghosting you? That's kinda what this was like. If I wanted to be unsatisfied by a man, I'd call my ex. I came here for work and as I had gone before I was super excited to go again. (Like only had a salad the whole day excited) ....but it felt like our waiter thought other tables would have bigger spend (and bigger tip for him) so he pretty much ignored us. He said he was bringing an amuse Bouche, but that never materialized. Not a big deal. It was supposed to be a little extra from the restaurant but if you mention it and don't bring it, it's pretty obvious. I asked about two wines and he gave me taste of both, which was very nice but once I picked the lesser expensive of the two that's when he really started ignoring us. We had been traveling all day and we're not all big eaters but did order enough. I did order a steak which I requested to be medium, but came medium rare. That's usually why I order one above what I actually want my steak to be. One of my coworkers ordered shrimp and on her second bite it tasted off so she didn't eat it. He didn't say anything when he came back ,even with a full plate of shrimp he was clearing, so I ended up telling him that the shrimp seemed off bc she didn't want to say anything. They did take it off our bill, but they never actually said anything to us about it. All in all, he seemed like he had better things to do. It took a very, very, very, very very long time between the time that we sat down to the time that we got our food to the time that we got our bill. And we weren't even in a hurry... If you DO decide to waste your time and $, the steak was good, the Brussels were pretty tasty, and the mushrooms were our favorite. All in all ...I would actually recommend you skip this place because this service is just not great especially when compared with price. Go to the pool bar instead. Their food is pretty good and their service is awesome.

Jim S.

Yelp
I had a nice dining experience at this restaurant located in the JW Marriott. It has excellent reviews and noted for their prime steaks. The ambience is relaxed and a modern elegance with indoor and patio dining options. The elevated patio is very nice with fresh air and views of the pool. The service was excellent with friendly and helpful service. They have a fantastic old fashioned that comes in a nice presentation a smokey infusion that smells amazing. The food and the steaks were fantastic. I would highly recommend this place.

Carita H.

Yelp
I was looking for a last minute place to eat and the Amex concierge recommended us this place. When I saw the pictures of the food I immediately wanted to try it. To my surprise it was actually not that bad, I really liked the Octopus and Hanger steak. Something about that Octopus was so delicious, it reminded me of having a similar kind/taste when I was in Bahama. The lobster bisque was A ok... not y favorite. The flavor was hmmm not as expected. The bone marrow was very good, but I think I would still prefer Moo's bone marrow. However, the price for that amount of bone marrow I got, I think was a steal. Lastly, the steak tartare was ok too. The drink I got was very tasty sweet. I usually don't like alcoholic drinks, but I liked this one. Our waiter was very very nice and friendly, Eric was his name (shoutout to you Eric and his sidekick, the nice lady who helped take our dishes away and gave me the straw hehe). The vibe and atmosphere was so calm and relaxing (besides that one party table with a screaming kid). I loved the decorations and how open the area was. I would definitely come back again!

Drew D.

Yelp
It was all fantastic. I had the duck, it's really amazing g. The food and service and wine are what you'd expect from a restaurant that earned a Michelin Star. Try it if you're there. It's on par with most food in or near Disney as far as cost.

Chris B.

Yelp
As a caveat I was with a party of 11, so that can be difficult however overall the food was just bad. Its a typical steakhouse menu, so it shouldn't be difficult to execute but they got almost everything wrong. As an appetizer I had the spiked scallops. They were under cooked, but I was willing to look past it as I'd rather have Uber than over cooked. For my main I had an 8oz filet (mid rare) and shared polenta, brussels, and Mac and cheeses. My steak arrived seared and raw. Interestingly my friend next to me ordered the same steak and his was mid well. We both sent our steaks back as they were literally cold and uncooked. Attempt 2 arrived, also raw (my friends was as well). How did you not cook it any more? Attempt 3 arrived mid rare and I was told they'd take it off my bill. As for the sides, the polenta and Brussels were fantastic, but the Mac and cheese was horrible. Watery, bland terrible. At the other end of the table two steaks were also wildly off temperature but corrected in one retry. They asked why my steak was removed but there's wasn't and they were told "we fixed it after one try so we're not giving you a refund." I'm not one to send food back, but this was inedible. If your a steak house you need to be able to hit a temp, or at least me close (one off in either direction would have been fine). I'd spend my money somewhere else if you're an Orlando resident and if you're staying in the hotel, Bull and Bear is right next door. Pictured is my steak after being cooked twice.

Joe M.

Yelp
Picture this. You purchase a $250 bottle of wine to enjoy with your wife as you wait for your kids steaks and seafood. The food comes out and is raw. The wine you end up pouring yourself because the staff has no clue as to fill your 1st glass let alone the the 2nd glass. After re cooking your kids food, your food shows up 30 minutes later. Raw carrots that are supposed to be cooked. Your steak is overdone and your wife's salmon is raw! We went to the front desk to ask for a GM of the JW to see if someone actually cares because the managers on site are clueless. Go figure there is no GM to be found! It is obvious this hotel has struggles finding help, that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that the leadership and upper management is non existent and that's why we will never stay here again. For anyone that actually wants to enjoy a vacation because your family deserves it and you work hard for your money and don't want to waste it stay far away from this place. Nice hotel poor service with lack of experience and leadership.

Frances T.

Yelp
I just love the coziness that this hotel brings every time we go. The restaurants are top notch and the ambiance is just something else. In Sear and Sea you can enjoy the lobby bar with the Gin on wheels cart which bring you 150 different gins to choose from ,and a lot of other drinks with appetizers. The restaurant is an Oasis that you can step too and will never want to come back with amazing food for everyone. Highly recommended and one of my top choices in Orlando.

Arturo B.

Yelp
Venue is wonderful. Food was awesome. Service was slow and left a lot to be desired. Our party was hungry and with a toddler, we ordered quickly. Apps came out fairly quickly, yet the mains took over an hour. And when they arrive one dish was completely missing. So imagine have to wait to prepare that missing guest dish again. Super disappointment. Id def return just because the outdoor vibes and food make up for service. Just be sure to budget extra time into your visit/plans. Overall 3.5*

Julliana H.

Yelp
The restaurant and hotel is absolutely beautiful, and the wait staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. Took a while to get my lemonade and order, but would definitely try again when I stay at this hotel.

A.j. J.

Yelp
We had a business dinner here in the private room. The service was top flight and the food was second to none. I would easily say this is the best steak house I've been to in Florida. Do yourself a favor and get the marrow and the tomahawk!

Leah A.

Yelp
Walking into the restaurant there is a strong smell of wood smoke that is divine and sets the stage for the delicious deep flavors. The wait staff was phenomenal and had great suggestions. Everything I ordered was fresh, well seasoned, and scrumptious. The attention to detail of each dish was beautifully thought out. I had eaten at the bar the night before and was impressed with the quality of the flavors but the restaurant exceeded my expectations and was one of the best meals I've had.

Laura T.

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance, food is good, some of the vegetables were burnt if you're into charred food. Service was decent but not exceptional.

Allegra P.

Yelp
Expensive for a reason. I could not recommend the octopus enough! The sides are very large and made for sharing. The mashed potato puree was absolutely indulgent and a perfect pairing for the tiny diced roasted beets. The potato really helped those beets stay on my fork. The Octopus was very well seasoned and the suckers were so crunchy! The broccolini side was sweet and crunchy as well. The portion of octopus easily feeds two people with sides. The dessert wasn't really hitting for me. But it was good.

Rey O.

Yelp
I had one of the most amazing dinners I've ever had in Orlando. The food was absolutely delicious. Whoever they got cooking there knows what they're doing. We were very lucky to have been able to sit at the chef's table if you ask me it's the best seat in the restaurant you get to see the food on display. The waiters and waitresses were on point. and the wine selection was perfect.

Natasha L.

Yelp
This place was bad. Quality of the food was suspect. Should we have taken the hint when we were served a stale amuse bouche. Yes, we should have. Drinks were terrible. Everything was lukewarm, and was all around bad. The lobster bisque tasted like it was made last week. The presentation of everything was like someone who's watched a lot of movies about food but has never actually mentored or had been educated in the culinary field. Service, however, was pretty good. Our server was very nice and attentive and incredibly polite. So disappointing. How does this place have over 4 stars? i don't understand it.

Katrina M.

Yelp
Such a cute restaurant in this beautiful hotel! Free valet parking ( we weren't guest at the hotel) right in the front which was super convenient. Server had amazing suggestions and was constantly checking in with us even being super busy! Had the shrimp cocktail, oysters and Olive bread for appetizers - the bread came with amazing spreads that they even packed extra for us to take home! Phenomenal cocktail suggestions with fresh fruit! Would highly recommend!

Noemi S.

Yelp
Dinner here was an beautiful experience. This restaurant has impressed me. I don't have the names of each dish because I forgot to take a full picture of my menu. Although I wasn't celebrating Valentine's this happen to be their Valentine's menu. Food was elegant and fresh. Servers were very helpful and dinner was perfect. The ambiance was elegant and sophisticated.

Yelp
We decided it to have date night at this place that has awesome reviews and we turned it into a quick staycation. The octopus with chimichurri and ají amarillo was good but as a Peruvian, I don't think real ají amarillo was used because there was no kick but the octopus wasn't bad. The aged NY strip was the disappointment of the night.... I absolutely love steak and nothing was exciting me more of the menu than the steak.... The reality is that the disappointment was very real. The steak was BAD. It was extremely rough that I spilled my husband's and my water glass because I was "cutting" my steak. The flavor was not there and it was imposible to chew on it. I changed it for the poached Halliburton (not my first choice cause I don't particularly love fish) and it wasn't bad at all. The waitress gave me this nasty look when I reported that my steak was impossible to eat. She gave me this total judgmental and "I'm over it" type of look.

Yelp
I just wanna say one thing! I've had the best fillet magnon in my life! You could taste the wood! I felt like I was having my dinner in the nature! So good!

Yelp
Menu was limited. However food was delicious. Drinks were overpriced. No bread, but they served a delicious amuse Bouche. Servers were attentive. Make sure you ask for a parking pass otherwise it's $37 to park. We were there for 90 minutes. It was nice-- but not nice enough to go back.

Yelp
New place in the new Marriott. Great ambiance. Definitely a really nice spot. Started with bread service. The butters were very tasty. We then split the lobster bisque. It was paired tableside. Pretty good. Next the endive salad. Lots of good flavors. The ends can be bitter though Final was the 16oz ribeye. Cooked perfectly and presented amazingly. Cooked a perfect medium rare. Great flavors. We also had some jalapeño Mac and cheese. This was ok but grainy. I would have liked it to be creamier. Also had good heat The wine list was pretty good and some really good reasonably priced options. Cocktails are really nice but a bit pricey. Made perfectly though. This is a solid dinner choice. The steak was really nice. The Mac n cheese is the only reason for only 4 stars.

Yelp
While the focus here is definitely steakhouse, Sear and Sea definitely departs from the standard formula. Starting with a modern, airy decor and light colors, the room isn't clubby at all, and is almost more of an extension of the massive hotel lobby. Servers, on the other hand, are garbed in black from head to toe, including (presumably pandemic-inspired) black mask and black gloves. They look exactly like ninjas! And like ninjas, they seem to be everywhere at once. Service was really exceptional. Perhaps the highlight of the meal. The appetizers and salads aren't the usual steakhouse fare, either. I particularly like the endive salad, a generous portion served with a lovely assortment of ingredients and a bright vinaigrette dressing. The steaks are good, but they're not going to change your life. They were perfectly cooked to the desired medium rare, and had a nice, somewhat salty rub on the crust. But they weren't stunners, and the rib eye was surprisingly low on the fatty marbling the steak is known for. The wine list is particularly noteworthy, both for its breadth and reasonable markups. Contrary to the rather pricey food items, the wines seem to be at about three times retail or less. We finished with a superb bread pudding. It's also worth calling out the lobby bar attached to the restaurant. It's open, appealing, has some very interesting cocktails, and many wines by the glass. Service in both the bar and the restaurant were both exceptional, and we felt really welcomed by the entire staff.

Yelp
The was the best steak I've even had. It's crust was delicious and the meat was so tender and juicy that I was shocked at how delicious it was. The staff was so tentative and charming. The food was prepared and served timely. It was a perfect evening and I can't wait to go back. To be clear!!!! The octopus was the best I've even eaten. It's flavor and texture was unbelievable. I never thought that octopus could taste like that. Everyone at the table was shocked and pleasantly surprised. It melted in your mouth. Savory, salty, and just perfect. It is a must visit if you are in Orlando.

Yelp
Overpriced steakhouse at the JW Marriott. Salty as hell steaks, bad service makes for a bad visit. Good if you don't feel like leaving hotel but not very good.

Yelp
Very fancy looking place but talk about a roller coaster experience at the S+S!!! Ultimately, I do not recommend it! If u care to hear, this is why! The hostess crew was not the friendliest! We arrived at 9 pm and they asked for reservation! Of course after week long Disney battle we were in not making a hotel restaurant reservation! I can't help but also say that all my travels for work, never had to make a reservation at a hotel restaurant! They told us they had one table but were waiting on a party of five, it was 9 pm and they closed at 10! So I found it hard to believe! Maybe it was our casual outfits, 2 kids who were starving and worn down Disney warriors looks! Maybe they were telling the truth and I was delusional after Disney magic to expect to be seated. Anyways, it felt like a terrible start and we sat at the bar area. Things seemed to improve when we had a quick service by a very competent waitress. We were feeling good again...And kids food and our salad came really quick! Salmon was great...very moist and flaky. Farmed salmon has a higher fat content and maybe that was the secret ingredient to a perfectly cooked salmon! However, Mac and cheese my daughter ordered tasted sour- like someone dropped a sour patch kids gummy in it! For the life of me I can't tell how someone can mess up Mac and cheese! Arugula salad was also delicious. So two out of three was not too bad and my daughter did not complain! Things went downhill from there. I had ordered steak well done! Yes I like my steak cooked all the way! I have gone years of shaming by my wife and her family for that so I am immune to any criticism!!! I have heard it all!! It took forever for out food to come! At least it felt that way. I was blaming my steak for the delay until it arrived. It was rare! I mean really red 2/3 of the way. I am now having an internal conflict: I have never sent food back. It is my upbringing I guess. Also desire to not get someone in trouble! But rare steak for someone who eats steak well done! I mean come on...if u r wondering, I did not send it back. Our waitress was MIA by this time and even if she was around I would not send it. I ate 1/4 inch section near the surface and left the middle to be wasted! Then she appeared again like a magical creature who disappears for extended periods of time and just when you lose hope appears, so you actually feel grateful!!! we ordered desserts for the kids. I mean if u call ice cream on a bowl of fruit dessert! Finally, my kids could not finish the dessert, even with my help...we were already looking forward to ending this ride and never getting back on it! Ever again! Wow this was longer than I wanted! I guess I really needed to vent.

Yelp
Michelin star prices, disgusting slop quality of food. My poor mortified and embarrassed sister and husband brought me and our party of 8 for my birthday. Reservations at 8. They stated when we arrived that our party was too big to be seated outside. Didn't understand as restaurant was not that full (maybe 1/2 full). But they shoved us into a private room near the kitchen. Kept doors closed which made the room uncomfortable. Room sat maybe 20? So lots of yelling from one side to another trying to hear each other. At 8 we ordered drinks and apps. Drinks were heavy on sugar but were nicely redone. Then it went promptly to hell after. App:Tartar, scallops, octopus and bread. Actually, I had asked the waiter to bring bread ASAP as small children were present at 8. The apps got there around 9pm minus the bread, yes that's an hour later. I kept asking Brad and Nel what was taking so long and they kept saying it was part of the grand experience (really?) and kept saying they were baking the bread. Still? I asked for any bread, he said the restaurant was out? Another 15 minutes for bread after the apps arrived around 9pm. Apps ok. Another hour goes by. At this time, I'm getting very angry but did not want to make the evening worst by embarrassing my husband and sister since other guests were present. I excused myself to the bathroom. Asked for the manager, female blonde and already upset because I could hear her arguing about another bad situation loudly on phone. Told her I did not understand why it was taking over 2 hours to get food. She said it was our fault for booking 8 people. That so many people had to expect delays as part of the grand culinary experience as food was going to be carefully regulated to be the exact temp but she would check on the food. By the time I came back from the restroom she was speaking to my husband. Again, reiterating that we cannot expect good service or food for such a large party. Food started coming in and she was right about waiting for all the food to be the same temp. Because if cold and luke warm was the chef's goal, it was on point. Steaks had a gross film from being sat too long. My husband's steak was literally stone cold. He had to send back as the color was turning his stomach off. Instead of cooking another steak correctly, they microwaved his old one and re-slapped on a plate. 4 of us ordered the spaghetti nero. All received so cold that the noodles were gummy and stuck together, we tried to cut with our knives the gelatinous goo. We picked at the protein and pushed the rest aside uneaten. The younger ones in the group ate theirs out of desperate hunger as it was now close to 10:30 and other than a small bite of bread, that's all they had. We were then handed a bill for $1094.00 which included their tip. No apologies, no explanation beyond that it was our fault the food was cold, late and weren't we so happy to have this culinary experience? We went out to McDonalds after to finally get something decent to eat. Those who ate most of their foods (teenagers and children) had to wash their mouths out with soda at McDonalds since the food was so cold and greasy from being sat out for what must have been an hour. I also started them on probiotics and fiber supplements to combat any diseases from bacteria growing on food left out too long. I am the process of contacting the Marriott corporate office as I am furious that the manager and staff treated us so poorly and that this is the level of care they give their patrons. If you are going to charge $1k for food and service, the food and service better match. Avoid this place unless you don't mind being embarrassed and wish to experience cold greasy improperly prepared foods.

Yelp
Sear & Sea - JW Marriott. Wow. Wow. Wow. The place is quite expensive, no doubt. I'd likely still go outside of magical dining but save the Filet for MD only. The service was impeccable and the food and wines were decadent (you'll spend your money here for sure). They have an excellent bourbon and whiskey selection and the cocktails are so fresh and easy to drink. I had the Can't Elope (cantaloupe) martini. There is also a lovely patio area and bar. We had the artichoke app and the endive salad after some oysters and drinks. The artichoke was ok to me. It had a lot of great flavors but I prefer my artichoke less dressed and not fried. The salad was enormous and one of the best salads I have had in Orlando. I'd love to come get this for lunch by the pool. The dressing was light and complemented the salad well - without taking anything away from the lovely greens. Only about $15 normally and well worth it. The oysters were fresh and delicious (per my husband). I had the Branzino (bass) fish - some of the best fish I've had in my life. It was a nice sized portion, super light, flaky and perfectly cooked. I was likely moaning a bit when I ate it LOL. My husband had the filet. Again, cooked perfectly - a smaller portion than the menu size but didn't need more than that. I loved the seasoning but he said it could be slightly less salted. It was divine. The desserts - YUM. They are only $10 regularly so that's not too bad. And, are exquisite. I had the key lime creme brûlée and absolutely loved it. It was complemented well with a French white dessert wine. The server did an excellent pairing but didn't seem that confident in pairing wines. We spoke to Chef Alex when he stopped by to check on us and gave him great positive feedback and only suggested having the wine pairings listed on the menu or an in-house Sommelier and a pairing selected for magical dining too. He thought that was great feedback and did say that they will be doing some PreFixe options with pairings in the near future. Highly recommend!

Yelp
All of the employees that I interacted with while dining at the Sear & Sea were exceptionally hospitable. Everyone was quick to extend a friendly greeting and provide an elevated level of service. The restaurant is comfortable and has a relaxed atmosphere. The menu is creative and they have a nice selection of wine available. I decided to order off of the Magical Dining menu and added a lobster bisque with a bread basket. My entree was a filet with polenta and broccolini. The filet was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. I could cut it with a butter knife. The lobster bisque was delicate and presented beautifully.

Yelp
Delicious! First impression with the hostess left us grateful as we arrived late in the evening to check in, mistimed the fireworks and just needed a good sit down dinner. She sat us and informed us the kitchen closed in 15 min, so we were able to review the menu and make some decisions without putting out the staff and still having a meal. Ian greeted us immediately and told us to still take our time and made some good recommendations. His assistant John made sure to get us waters and some bread quickly too (we were starving!). I always think bread at a steakhouse should be complimentary, this isn't, but it's worth it; fresh sourdough olive loaf ugh rosemary and two spectacular and fresh butters, black garlic and a goat cheese. Both delicious and you won't be disappointed. We both chose cocktails (old fashioned and raspberry beret) and to forgo additional appetizers for two sides to split. Ian told us the sides would be very large and he wasn't kidding. We did the Mac n cheese w/bacon on the side (he loves bacon, I don't) and the brussel sprouts. Our filets were both cooked perfectly with a nice salty seared crust and exactly to temp inside. I chose to get a side of bernaise and my bf had the green peppercorn. Honestly we didn't need sauce with such a tasty steak, but I love a good bernaise and it was a great accompaniment. We didn't have room for dessert, but certainly eyeballed a few tables around us that had the profiteroles. All around delicious meal and I'm looking forward to the leftover Mac n cheese & brussel sprouts! Excellent service, fair prices, great ambience for a hotel so close to Disney and the open kitchen was a neat feature. Look forward to coming back

Yelp
Amazing dinner experience here. The king crab appetizer was delicious and came with the perfect dipping sauce to pair with the rich crab; very highly recommend. The service was amazing and the waiter knew each menu item like the back of his hand. The Brussels sprouts were cooked perfectly and the presentation was amazing with some sort of cheese that moved in the air. I ordered the snapper and it was delicious and extremely fresh tasting. Highly recommend this place even if you're not staying at the JW (we were staying at a hotel down the street).

Yelp
The service was wonderful. We had the arugula salad, king crab legs, Kansas City NY Strip, and jumbo shrimp entree. The food was decent, probably a bit overpriced for the quality/taste but the service made it all worth while. The key lime crème brûlée was tasty, it just had a small hint of lime and was well done.

Yelp
The small limited menu had the perfect light bites. The deviled eggs were a yummy surprise! Restaurant quality with homemade flavor! The wedge salad was dripping with creamy blue cheese and the perfect compliment to the tasty crab cakes made my favorite way.... All crab!

Yelp
Recently visited this restaurant while staying at the resort and was very pleased with the food and service. I had a steak which was perfectly cooked, as requested, and delicious. My party and I paired our food with the Brussel sprouts which were hands down my favorite part of the meal. We had a child with us and he enjoyed his Mac and cheese very much. Also during our visit the manager came to check on us to make sure everything was going well, of course it was, but that was really appreciated. Overall a great dinner experience. Ohhhh!!! They gave us really great chocolate with our bill, that's a great touch!
