This Sears is very clean and spacious. Only problem? Hardly any customers. The employees do an amazing job keeping everything clean and well organized. Very beautiful mall and awesome set up. The Sears Auto center is closed but is a Keyless shop which is pretty cool. I suggest to anyone that lives around here continues to shop here and spend all the money you can. They have a great selection of Appliances. Lots of beds and fridges to choose from! I have a feeling this Sears will be on the chopping block sooner or later. I’m shocked that this location along with Willow Grove , PA locations are going strong but that necessarily doesn’t mean that I’m not pumped! Like I said spend your money. Support your local Sears before it’s to late. How much longer will this Sears last? Stay tuned! To all the employees keep up the Great Work!

The store manager of this Sears makes shipping here worth it! Great attitude, customer service and the people who work here seem to like their jobs (which makes shipping so much better!)-- glad this one is still around! Keep up the great work Mr Jensen!

Let me just start by saying how horrible and depressing this store is. I used to work here about 8 years ago so my friend and I who also used to work there decided to stop by and see how bad it was. To no surprise to us it was pretty much what we expected. The tool section is basically just leftovers with high prices and huge markups compared to other stores. We saw a total of 2 employees in the whole place. One of the employees was a young guy who was pretty much laying down at the cash register and was playing on his phone and not even paying attention. if anyone was shoplifting there is no way he would have known. Some of the departments are shut down. The mattresses are where the electronics department used to be. There are some mens clothes displayed in the tool department that used to be full of lawn mowers and weed eaters. The whole sporting goods section is blocked off that also had an employee entrance to the break room. Two of the four main cash registers are gone. The shoe department has so many empty shelves. This was all depressing. I don’t expect this store to be open too much longer.

Not much left in the store. We spent half an hour looking for someone who worked in appliances and gave up when we couldn't find anyone. Happily went to Lowe's and had good selection and helpful staff - I wouldn't recommend going to Sears anymore which is a sad statement after they were a staple box store for so long.

I visited this store because I curious to see one of the few Sears left. What struck me looking around is how empty the place was. Half the hardware section walled off. Whole shelving units had only a few items on them. Cloths racks were spread out. Despite all that areas the size of an average bedroom were empty. It was also dirtier than it should be. There were scuffs marks on the tile floors and stains on the carpets no one had bothered to clean. It felt more like a flea market that took over an old Sears location than a Sears I remember visiting pre-2015. I did give it three stars because: 1. It's still open despite the chain being on the verge of going under and the whole retail sector getting hammered by Amazon. That's got to count for something. 2. While the selection was limited, the prices, at least on men's clothing, were pretty good, I bought a few shirts.

The store is very empty and appears it may close very soon. Shopping throughtout is scarce and marked down to very decent pricing. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great prices on what was left over in the store. However, did not present as it it would be open too much longer. Jewelry cases were empty etc.

Went to purchase tires. Selection was decent and people were helpful. My first choice was Sam's Club, however they were constantly booked up. Sears was able to order my odd tire size in in less than 2 days and put them on the day they arrived. Sam's Club had a wait list longer than a week and ended up costing more for the same tires. Also, being connected to the mall means you have something to do which is a save if you have kids.

Sears in Frederick is a great place to shop. Frequent, actual price reductions and helpful staff are the norm. The store is clean and fairly well laid out. As it is a smaller store, the selection is a bit limited but, I found adequate items in all price ranges.

Yelp
Talk about seeing a ghost. That's exactly what I saw here. I had that that the whole brand had closed up shop with them going belly up. However, upon furth inspection, there are only 20 Sears left in the US with the Frederick location being one. It felt like right after Blockbuster closed up shop and you would stumble upon one of their old locations. I walked in here expecting it to be a perpetual closing sale going on. Don't get me wrong, it nearly looked like that, but they were still here, doing their thing. When I walked in the first time I though I was being punked. But I was not, they had every department that you would expect. Everything right down to the appliances that we were all too familiar with seeing. Don't let me mislead you here. It may be a Sears, but it is a bareboned Sears. It was great being in here, kind of reliving my childhood adventures. Before school starts shopping, late Christmas last minute shopping, middle of the summer detour shopping, and all that good stuff in between. In this store I can assure you they have items and all departments are open. Although each department is pared down. Some walls had maybe one or two items hanging on the racks and the rest was scattered to make it look like it was well stocked, but it really isn't. It is quite odd to see. They are attempting to make it look like a fully functional store, but it really looks way too lowkey. Some sections hardly had any lighting. The store pick up area was dead, no one there, so I assume pick up is gone and/or done elsewhere. All the little outlying areas are gone. When I asked if they were about to close to an associate I was assured they are not closing, any time soon. I was just weirdly put off because the fixtures that aren't in use are for sale. That is a usual sign that a store is about to close up shop. Only time will tell if this will remain true. I would love to see Sears make a comeback, but it is like hoping for water in a drought.

Yelp
Goodbye dear Sears. I will always remember you fondly. Memories of shopping with my parents. Buying new clothing for school there. Our old Kenmore appliances that actually kept working forever. This wasn't the store location I grew up with but still a genuine Sears store. Who could forget the Sears catalogs and especially the Christmas toy catalogs. They were part of everyone's past and favorite things. I'm sad that another true American icon is slowly fading away. Yesterday I went to this location and purchased something I really didn't need but wanted to anyway. It was my goodbye and one last look. Always part of our history and hearts. Thank you to a great company. Thank You
