Best Houston Bars and Restaurants | Eater

"During the day, Seaside Lounge offers up an amazing selection of oysters and traditional seafood in an outdoor setting with private cabanas. At night, the space transitions to live DJ sets with craft cocktails and small plates to share. To complete the seaside vibe, try a frozen drink served in a plastic cup — the frozen margarita with PATRÓN Silver is extra refreshing, as is the Hurricane with BACARDÍ rum — alongside the seaside burger, a patty made from shrimp, lobster, and crawfish." - Vox Creative

Had fun here, the service was good and pretty quick because we came before the crowd. The atmosphere was lit. Happy hour prices were great but the lobster tails were really salty. I definitely will be coming back.

Amber was so attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and had great food selections. We didn't ever have to go looking for or asked someone can they find our sister she was on point. Keep the drinks flowing and had great manners. I would definitely be back again because she was bomb...

This is a sports bar atmosphere. Servers can’t really be attentive cause they have to pop bottles and shake 10 times for the birthday crew each time. Salmon bites were good good and I enjoyed the catfish and buffalo egg rolls. Mac n cheese…No!

This was my first time coming to Seaside and it was no wait for a Saturday brunch which I loved cause we were so hungry. We sat outside because it was a nice day in Houston and our waiter was Amber who consistently checked up on us while we were out there. She got the tvs turned on for us so we could watch some sports and had gave us great menu options to choose from. Amber made the experience truly incredible and I will definitely be back once Lent is over so I can try some of those dollar mimosa and two dollars frozen drinks. But she did keep the water bottles flowing for us. Thanks for such a great time Amber 🫶🏿

We were in town for our friends birthday last week and this was the last place we went on our last day. As servers where we live we are most certainly overly understanding of service lacking when busy but the service was NON EXISTENT!! We went early around 830p and they were beyond slow which is to be expected. It’s early. No big deal. They said the upstairs rooftop was sold out so we got a section on the lower patio. 200 section fee plus a bottle. 200.00 did not even go towards the bottle. It was literally to sit. So 589.00 later we brought out bottle which did come pretty quick with all mixers. Our waitress (Sydney) took our order, dropped off our bottle, & literally NEVER returned. Our hookah coals were only refilled once so it just died out. We asked another server who was moving all the sections around us upstairs to please have our server come to our table. Still never came. Walked inside to the bar to ask the bartender if they could send Sydney to our table and her response was “she’s probably busy upstairs” and walked away. We went upstairs ourselves and it was PACKED but you don’t forget about your guest downstairs. Paying guests at that. Moving on to the DJ. GET A NEW ONE IMMEDIATELY!! We went so many places in Houston (peachez, privacy, forget me not, doves, daiquiri land etc) and the absolute best time, best service, and best music. You could never pay me to revisit this place again

While I did enjoy myself, it was mind boggling that patrons were not able to use the ONE bathroom on the property as the event was ending. Security was being selective on who could and couldn’t use the bathroom. I offer the solution of adding additional facilities, particularly on the roof because there are SO many steps and I didn’t see an alternative of getting up and down.

The most frustrating part as someone coming from another state is the fact that you can’t seat unless you have a booth which requires a bottle. Other than that good luck finding a table top. The creamy Cajun pasta with shrimp was sooo yummy. Seaside was popping ON A SUNDAY; party wit a view!! The bottle girls don’t stop cause the drink don’t stop coming 💃🏾💃🏾

We stopped by Seaside Lounge during our trip and honestly, the place has potential but the service needs serious improvement. The staff seemed disorganized and our table wasn’t ready even though we had a reservation. Drinks were good, music was fun, but the wait time and confusion took away from the experience. With better management and attention to guests, this spot could be great, right now, it’s just average.

Yelp
We visited Seaside Lounge and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. We paid $200 to secure a section with the agreement that we would need to purchase 3 bottles. Once we were seated, it took over 15 minutes for our server to even approach us, and the first thing she said was simply, "Y'all good?" She didn't ask about our bottle selection, and when we requested food and a hookah, she just walked away after putting in the order. The lounge closed at 12, but the server (Spain) did not return until around 11. At that point, she informed us--very rudely--that we now had to purchase 4 bottles instead of the originally agreed 3. When we explained that we wouldn't have time to drink that many, her attitude became even more unprofessional. She questioned our reservation and dismissively asked, "Do y'all want the bottles or not?" before walking off. Shortly after, security came over and told us we had to leave because "we didn't have a section," even though we had already paid $200 to secure it. We asked to speak with a manager, but instead, a man who claimed to be the owner showed up along with the same rude server. Rather than resolving the situation, the server told us to close out our food tab in a disrespectful manner. To make things worse, she made a comment to another table saying she wasn't the problem--when she clearly was. In the end, we lost $200, received terrible service, and left completely dissatisfied. This experience felt unprofessional, misleading, and unfair. I cannot recommend Seaside Lounge based on how we were treated.

Yelp
Nahhhhhhhhh this ain't it. I mean if i was younger and I liked obscenely loud music. If I didn't mind terrible service that still added gratuity. If 20$ to park wasn't an issue but all of these things bother me. The way my nerves are set up, this not for me. The amount of stress I deal with for my job to give me my paycheck, I need good service if I'm giving my money away. I opted to sit outside because the music had my ears ringing. The waitress was either new or didn't care because she had no clue of the specials or the drink menu. She finally brought over menus. We ordered a few dishes and I will say the food was good. We ordered two drinks, one came out in a plastic cup the other came out in a glass. The long Island which the waitress suggested was clear and it was disgusting. When we requested the check it took about 30 mins for her to come back. She apologized and then when I asked for the total it was unusual that it was so high for what I ordered. When I asked her why so high she said automatic gratuity. I paid and when I looked at the electronic copy, it was because she charged me for a drink I didn't order. This issue took another 30 minutes to get resolved. Yall I'm giving you all the short version of the nonsense that took place. I will disrespectfully decline another invite to this place. If this sounds like your cup of tea then please go visit and maybe your experience will be live.

Yelp
If I could give a negative 5 star review I would. Don't recommend this place as they seem to think it's okay for their employees to PHYSICALLY ASSAULT WOMEN. I was on my bike alone/lost from my group I was with. This is where the first exit took me and I saw a parked car, I parked behind the parked vehicle which was a navy blue Buick.. I was only trying to map myself back to where I needed to go and was trying to gather a route before I got back on the highway.. as I was doing so, one of the male employees approached me aggressively asking me to move my bike and I explained that I couldn't because I didn't know where I was going and just needed a moment to gather myself. Another female employee instructed me to just move toward and I did but I couldn't move too much as there was a parked car in front of me. He accused me of being in the way of cars coming in but I wasn't blocking the entrance at all. He proceeded to screen at me and call me names. As things got more heated he struck me in my face with my helmet on which busted/bruised my lip... SEASIDE PLS DO BETTER.
