Massive Italian Restaurant Al Mare Closes on the Santa Monica Pier - Eater LA

"Seaside On The Pier will take over the space. Little is known about Al Mare’s replacement, other than a sign that tells what’s in store: a grill, sandwich shop and a rooftop lounge." - Mona Holmes

PLEASE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! No wonder the restaurant was not busy at all... Service and atmosphere were great! Funny and entertaining staff but the food was not good. One of the dishes we ordered was Margarita Pizza and it was the worst pizza we ever had. It was worst than the frozen pizzas that you get at grocery stores. The Chicken Ceasar Salad was as bad as the pizza. The chicken that they put in the salad was from a freezer. Some weren't even defrost all the way. It tasted like a rubber. Not worth your money.

The view is fantastic, and the service is on point. 3 floors to choose from, inside or outside seating. Best Mexican shrimp cocktail I've ever had in a restaurant. Pricey, but worth it. Honestly it's 4*, but having a life-size Arnie from T2, how can you not give it an extra one just on that alone. Next time I'm in town, " I'll Be Back ".

Every server on every floor judged me, and I honestly felt discriminated against. I came in with my child and asked the first floor staff if I could order drinks. He told me to go up to the rooftop (third floor). Once I got there, the server immediately asked if we were all 21. I explained I had a child and was just following instructions from downstairs. He told me to go down to the second floor instead. At the second floor, I sat down and told the host I wanted drinks. He told me I had to order food to be seated. I explained I was sent down from the rooftop, and before that, up from the first floor. He looked confused and even said he didn’t know why the rooftop server said it was 21+ only clearly contradicting what I had just been told. No one seemed to have any clue what the actual policy was. When I finally got my drink, it came in a pineapple that was clearly used—no inner rind, looked dried out and old. It was not fresh, and I fully believe they reused it. Then, to top it off, the server circled the tip line on my receipt like he assumed I wouldn’t tip. After being sent in circles, judged by multiple staff members, and served what felt like trash he was right. This place is disorganized, inconsistent, and the way I was treated felt personal. I won’t be back Update: walking out I seen FRESH produce stored in the hall way outside the ELEVATOR not STORED at the proper temperature. Also I seen someone with the the same drink but hers had the middle rind and I asked for a photo so I can show as reference. They really gave me an old used pineapple and I feel sick writing this.

the family and I had a late lunch/early dinner here at seaside. it was not busy at all but that's probably because of the time of day. so given the slow business at the time the service had no problem keeping up and was quite attentive. the food came out quickly and was delicious. I had the seafood pasta Alfredo linguine with scallops, shrimp, & lobster. the wife had the shrimp po'boy which was also really nice. the kiddos had the cheese pizza & garlic bread. which i also tried. my oldest daughter didn't care for how sauce heavy it was but personally I liked it and the crust was nice too. we got the coconut shrimp for an appetizer which we all liked. which is kind of weird because my wife doesnt like coconut but she still liked it! I also thought there was a lot of reasonably priced options for where the place is located

Google
The only thing I didn’t like is that the menu advertises a fried fish as the “catch of the day” so I got super excited. But when I asked what was the catch for today, they said tilapia. And we all know most tilapia isn’t caught. Besides that, this place is solid, I honestly had very low expectations given that it’s in a touristy area. But the lobster was yummy and had an exceptional price. There’s a rooftop and you can enjoy an ocean view from there or their patio which is also nice. Prices are fair, service was super friendly and nice and even though the rooftop was basically empty they made sure to always be checking on us to make sure we didn’t need anything. We spent $81 for two dishes and 2 drinks. One of them being the pineapple which actually tasted really good.

We stopped in for a quick dinner. The service was quick, and it was not busy. The food was also good, great atmosphere. Definitely check them out.

Google
Beautiful views of the pier and ocean! The wings were great and so were the crab cakes. The drinks were strong, just how we like them. We hung out at the rooftop bar while our teens rode the rides at pacific park. Would definitely go back!

Google
We were looking for an option on the Pier that would accommodate a heart healthy diet, a vegetarian diet, a gluten intolerance and a picky kid. This fit the bill. Healthy sea food options, margerita pizza, burgers, and the ceviche was gluten free. I wish we got more food for the price, my teen was still hungry after the blackened Mahi tacos (that tasted amazing) and came with a tiny cup each of beans and rice. Seating was easy to find, and service was fast.

Yelp
Nothing like having brunch by the pier in Santa Monica. The food was good and the drinks were amazing. The view is breathtaking. The service was exceptional. Will be going back soon

Yelp
Really good happy hour prices on beer for being on the pier. You can easily get a table inside or outside on the patio with a nice view. I didn't get any food other than fries but seeing what people around us ordered everything looked pretty good. I'll be coming back here for beer and food next time.

Yelp
Today was my mother's birthday. We decided to go to Santa Monica Pier in the morning and then have breakfast. The morning air was cool and the ocean was reassuringly calm. There was a little bit of mist, a little bit of drizzle and a little bit of breeze. More importantly, we saw lots of dolphins(?) swimming together and birds flying in formations. Seaside on the Pier had just opened smiling cheerfully at passersby, so we asked if they could accommodate us with an item not on the menu! "Of course!" was the response. A young efficient and courteous server took us to the second floor and generously offered us the best seats on the balcony with spectacular views. As he wiped the morning dew off our chairs, he sang happy tunes( he did not sing- just kidding). The food consisting of pancakes, bacon and eggs was average, but delicious enough. We had to wait for a bit for our eggs, but I suppose it is because we did not ask for one of the menu items, so they had to go out of their way to make them. Inside was clean, our servers were really nice and the vibes were warm and friendly. The prices were more than reasonable! Will we return? We will definitely return for another brunch or lunch.

Yelp
The food here was horrible and took forever. Even though they weren't busy, we waited a solid 30 to 40 minutes for our food which is way too long for three people. The prices are fair, considering the location right on the pier, but the quality of the food was not at all worth it. Clearly not fresh, this is much tourist trap than actually a great restaurant.

Yelp
Fast quick seating and we were taken upstairs to roof area. Great view for people watching and sunset and beach. It's super duper casual so it's def not romantic. We stopped here for quick bite and got the salad and poboy sandwich. For the price it's average food quality. The kale salad was good but damn the orange was sour! I wish they had put in better sweeter orange. The cut of the grapefruit was haphazard like a mush of extra piece. It was the last piece I did not care to touch as it looked like it was also uncared for in its cut and presentation. The slight sweetness to dressing was favorable. The sandwich I had no comment on but the fries was good and seasoned nicely. Overall it is a casually okay experience, nothing to hype much about. If you want star quality good, this is not it. But for a quicky, come on down!

Yelp
My friend and I checked out the Santa Monica Pier one Saturday and decided to try this place (since we saw the mediocre reviews for Bubba Gump...). We were very happy with our decision. We arrived around 11:30 and were able to pick where we sat. We sat outside on the upper floor balcony with stunning views of the pier and beach below. Our server was quick and attentive, but not too attentive. We never had our waters refilled. I was surprised the prices weren't astronomical, as we were right on the pier, but I feel like in this day and age, you get what you pay for. I ordered the fish and chips and my friend got the impossible vegan burger. Our food came out rather quickly and the fries were excellent - seasoned nicely and tasted fresh. My friend enjoyed her burger and I really liked my cod "nuggets." The only downside was that I wish there was one more fish piece; they were delicious after all. I also liked the coleslaw, just wish there was a little more of it.

Yelp
We knew eating here would be both pricey and touristy; consider the location. For lunch, we decided to sit downstairs away from the overstimulating Pier activities. Gabriel, our server, had us feeling important as he took our orders and drinks amid the busy dining area. The kids ordered Chicken Alfredo, Margherita Pizza. My wife ordered the Fried Chicken and I had the Fish and Chips. The tartar sauce that came with my meal was excellent, as was the fish. Everything else made for an above-average good time, food-wise. We even bought a family postcard picture taken from the roving photographer. We enjoyed our leftovers the next day. It made for a wonderful, albeit pricey, good time. It made for a nice sit-down dining experience (that could also be enjoyed overlooking the Pier from upstairs seating as well), worth considering!

Yelp
We were walking around on Santa Monica pier, so decided to get a quick bite on this place. It was pretty empty when we sat around 11:30am. We sat on the deck on second floor so we can enjoyed the sun, fresh air and watch people passing by. We tried their fish and chips and lobster roll. They tasted decent. The fish was kinda dry. The lobster roll is pretty small about inch, and the lobster meat was chopped into small pieces instead of chuck. The restaurant is pretty clean. Service is okay.

Yelp
Yummm.... So delicious. I live in LA and come to the pier often but it was my first time trying this restaurant. Everything was so good. Loved the view and loved the vibe. The staff seemed happy and like they enjoyed their work. It elevated the experience. Food arrived promptly and don't have any complaints.

Victor M.

Yelp
The food was OK, I guess it's what you get when you're at a tourist trap/pier. I ordered fish and chips and there was very little fish.

Yelp
A vibe, a vibe, a vibe!!! Seafood restaurant on the Santa Monica Pier downstairs/upstairs dining and of course the amazing rooftop dining that overlooks the beach my time there I enjoyed a rooftop seating while eating a LOBSTER BLT very refreshing and light being that I was doing a lot of walking in the sun didn't want to get too full but yes that was my lunch of choice fresh lobster, crispy bacon, lettuce & tomato on brioche bread with a side of crispy fries and a small cup of fresh tasty coleslaw so if you're deciding where to go don't hesitate to give this place a try 5 stars if you want a feel good vibe here's your place THANKS GUYS SEE YOU AGAIN SOON! Service was amazing ;)

Yelp
Me and my bf went here for the vibes. We just got drinks since the stuff was expensive on the menu. We really wanted to sit up top on the roof which we were able to but we wanted to sit on the edge so we can see the water. Sadly, it was crowded on that day with no spots near the edge. The guys running the bar took quite a bit of time serving us which was annoying since we parked at a meter. Otherwise my drink was pretty good.

Yelp
We decided to dine here because of its location on the pier, offering indoor seating, outdoor patio seating, and rooftop seating. The restaurant is situated right in front of the ocean, although the view is only accessible from the outdoor areas. Upon arrival, a host welcomed us at the door, but after that, service was a bit haphazard. They had a wide selection of alcoholic drinks and were able to make a mocktail margarita for a child, which was much appreciated by both of us. It was exceptionally tasty. We started with a shrimp cocktail served in a traditional glass. However, it was more watery and sugary than expected, tasting more like ketchup than the usual ingredients. We sent the untouched shrimp cocktail back and moved on to our main courses. For our entrées, I had a ribeye served with what seemed to be canned or frozen thin green beans and fries, while the child had a cheeseburger and fries. I have to give credit where it's due: the ribeye was perfectly cooked to medium-well. Despite the typical fattiness of a ribeye, the fatty parts were well-grilled and, with a bit of added salt, quite delicious. The meal was very affordable. I requested that the shrimp cocktail be removed from the bill since we had sent it back almost immediately. The staff graciously complied without any fuss. The restaurant is kid-friendly with a casual dress code and multiple seating options. When we walked by on the weekend, there seemed to be live music or perhaps music from a nearby restaurant, but either way, it looked like a good time.

Yelp
My first time here and looking for somewhere to eat on the pier. The rooftop seating was really nice. The food was good. The service was decent.

Yelp
Trying to get to this place was very interesting. When we walked upstairs, it was like walking somewhere we weren't supposed to be. The man behind the bar downstairs was no help. We ended up just sitting up stairs at a table and a random server took care of us. I ordered the supreme pizza. It took about 10 minutes to come out. We sat on the balcony at sunset which was absolutely beautiful. They definitely have a good spot for a romantic evening. I wouldn't order the pizza. It was very basic tasting and the dough was a little undercooked un the middle. It became very cold very fast once the sun was down so we asked to move inside. The server was fantastic. Overall, I'm grateful for the experience and would maybe try something besides the pizza here.

Yelp
This is a great spot to get some good seafood while overlooking the Pacific! They have second level outdoor seating that my group thoroughly enjoyed. Very reasonably priced and good food. My greens beans were amazing and, my fish was seasoned perfectly. The wait staff was not super consistent in checking on our table, so we ran out of drinks and could not get some of the sauce we wanted, but they were very friendly! I would also suggest using the restroom before you arrive as it was filthy. I would absolutely return to this restaurant!

Yelp
DO NOT GO HERE. I went here for soft serve ice cream and they refused to serve me. Nobody showed up to take my order for about twenty minutes and then when I finally got someone, they told me they didn't have any ice cream even though I came in directly after seeing someone exit with soft serve. Don't advertise things if you don't have any ice cream I'm never going here again. All I wanted was soft serve and they treated me terribly. Terrible people and a terrible company.

Yelp
Food was yummy! though we didn't get the pickle as listed. Staff was dorms but we didn't have napkins and service was pretty slow at about half capacity or less. And it was DREEZING inside. The poor staff all had puffer coats on. I probably won't go back

Alexandra G.

Yelp
We're not from here so we wanted to make sure we had a nice experience. We checked out all the restaurants on the pier before making our final decision. We were looking forward to a good dinner with delicious drinks. We sat on the second floor and had a nice view. Service wasn't bad. The waiter was friendly. We ordered margaritas from the happy hour menu. (Blood orange and a classic) Unfortunately they didn't taste good at all. The coconut shrimp however, was pretty tasty! We then ordered our main course. My son got the lobster BLT which the waiter recommended. He was very happy. I ordered the seafood pasta. It was ok. The presentation did not appeal to me. Looked bland. I started eating it and the flavor was fine but the sauce was very thick. It had some shrimp, a few pieces of lobster but no cod or scallops. I was quite disappointed. I'm not saying this place is bad but I think whoever prepared my food just didn't put much effort into it. Maybe they were really busy. Although I see lots of delicious pasta pictures on here and I kinda wish I had one of those instead. My dish was more like a garlic shrimp Alfredo I make at home. Not a restaurant quality seafood pasta

Mario L.

Yelp
I came here with my family , we looked for places to eat on the pier. We came across this restaurant. The services was good , however the food was not. I order the fried tilapia, and the potato salad which tasted store bought and the tilapia had an after taste not fresh at all. My mother ordered the shrimp Alfredo pasta and I would say it tasted bland. The only good thing to me was the French fries. We ordered the crab cakes for appetizers and it tasted awful they had an old taste to them and they cost $20 for two. I asked the waiter "what was the restaurant specialty? and he stated he was not aware due to the menu changing often.
google avatar

Yelp
Family was hungry after the rides but just wanted to take a break before going on more rides so are here off a recommendation from one of the ride employees who said this had the best food. If this was the best, I can only imagine how much worse the food is at the other places. Restaurant was expensive but that was expected considering it's on the actual pier. Food was mediocre and small portions. Did not taste good. Best part was my three rum pineapple drink which tasted great but barely any alcohol for a $20 drink. Servers were nice but nothing above and beyond. Ambiance was laid back and casual. If you want good food better worth your money, go elsewhere.

Yelp
Just a really nice spot to visit to park your vehicle get out walk stretch your legs walk your pants let the kids run around or maybe even sometimes bring a nice blanket and a sand umbrella to enjoy a quick lunch or something. Just hearing the water in the waves is calming and relaxing. Overall a beautiful view. The earlier the better and getting there in your time to reflect on finding parking. If you're one who likes to drive, in the drive is worth your time.
google avatar

Yelp
Shame, shame, shame!!!! This place serves children's portions for adults. The crab cakes are small and served on a plate loaded full of tartar sauce. The blackened Mahi Mahi tacos platter is served with 2 small(street size) tacos with barely enough fish to taste. The sides were served in plastic condiment cups. They were 3-4oz. plastic to go cups. Over 40.00 with tax before tip and still hungry. Service was great so this is all on ownership trying to take advantage of tourists. I don't usually write poor reviews but I feel like I got ripped off and taken advantage of.
google avatar

Abel T.

Yelp
Just walk across to Bubba Gumps. Food was overpriced, bland and anemic in portions. The view was nice though.
google avatar

Nohely M.

Yelp
This spot is located closer to the entrance of the pier, as you walk your way down towards the pier or upwards heading home, they are easily accessible. They are known to have nice views from their second floor seating. We decided to sit upstairs to enjoy a view, but once again, the forecast was playing a heavy role at the beach. It appeared to be a busy day, our waiter took a bit to get our order started. I decided to try out their red wine and coconut shrimp basket. Upon asking the waiter "how many shrimps do I get in this order?" he responded with "depending how many they fry, 6 or 7." Um, I was a bit surprised because usually a waiter knows their food best and it wasn't such a hard question, but didn't leave me satisfied. Well, our order was placed, and as we waited patiently, we noticed that other people went and came, which surrounded us, and we noticed that the table next to us on the right side, was served their course meal, while we continued to wait for our appetizer, which should of arrived sooner than the table next to us. so that was not very pleasant. Once we received the shrimp basket, as we bit into them, they were falling apart, like if the breading was not fried well enough? Any who, I was not very happy and I am not sure if I would come back here, there are other places that offer nicer views, in my opinion. For the most part, their red wine was "chef kiss" i had two kinds and I really enjoyed them both. One was a "Pinot Noir" Sartori and the other one was "Red Blend" I enjoyed the Pinot noir best as it was much stronger, bitter and flavorful. Also, beware, they do have someone coming by to offer "free pics" but they end up showing you their edited versions and sell you one or you get to keep their complimentary one.

Yelp
The restaurant staff were outside showing menu and luring customers into the restaurant. My kids wanted pizza but the two restaurants next door don't offer pizza, so we decided to try this restaurant. On the kid's menu, they only have chicken fingers and cheese pizza for $6.95. I asked if I can pay for pepperoni on kid's pizza and they said no, so we had to order a large pepperoni pizza to share. Overall, the food is just okay.
google avatar

Yelp
Good for happy hour. 11-5 Loved the rooftop, brought nuts for all the squirrels but also fed the seagulls. Decent happy hour menu. Quick service and the photographer comes around with free postcard photo. Bathrooms on each level. Coconut shrimp were good. Do not recommend the nachos. Indoor outdoor seating
google avatar

Steve L.

Yelp
Nope. Never again. Came in on a Sunday. Restaurant was relatively slow. Service was the worst. Waiter took us to a table, made us wait 5 minutes while they cleaned it instead of seating us at all the other empty tables, then took the menus with him. Came back 5 mins later with menus. Drink order took forever. People that ordered after us got served. My burger and fries was not worth $16. Wife asked for a side of blue cheese. Server gave it to another table next to us who hadn't even ordered. I finally had to walk up to get the check just so we could get out in a timely fashion. I don't recommend. Good luck if you dine here. Convenience would be the only positive thing.

Yelp
Wonderful seafood linguine. Great grilled salmon. Tasty fish & chips! Must stop if nearby!
google avatar

Christopher L.

Yelp
This review is mainly for the food. I ordered the lobster roll which cost $24. I don't think it was worth the price as it was not tasty. The French fries had a good season to them. The cold slaw was not very good. I think kfc has better cold slaw which gives you had idea on the flavor. The atmosphere was good. There was a long wait and was able to get seated right away. I service was good especially for a busy Sunday around brunch time.
google avatar

Yelp
This restaurant manager, Jose, should not be allowed to run anyone's business. The way he treats his employees, in front of customers, is baffling. I witnessed him speaking to employees in a condescending matter. I couldn't believe what I had just seen and heard. I immediately got up and left before the server came back to take my order. The owner really needs to look into who he has managing his restaurant. I would be ashamed to have someone like Jose representing my business.
google avatar

Yelp
Having eaten fish and chips all along the west coast, Gulf of Mexico, and Hawaii, I thought I'd had the best outside England. I was wrong!! The pieces were generous, the breading crispy and somehow buttery without being greasy. Hot, fresh fries with seasoned salt and a great tartar sauce, not needed but yummy too rounded it out. We also had the blackened mahi sandwich. Delicious. Coleslaw was okay. Service was great and timely. Would love to return.

Cate M.

Yelp
Terrible service and disappointing food. I went there with my family, and the experience was awful. It took over an hour to get our order, and I had to chase down the server just to get the bill only after I asked a few of the staff to give me my bill and all of them gave me the statement that I'm "not your server "On top of that, the food was mediocre at best and ridiculously overpriced. Definitely not worth it.

Shantel S.

Yelp
Food- Oranges were sliced fresh with our shots; absolutely UH-MAZINGG! Well tequila is Pueblo Vallarta 10/10 chilled with an orange slice Service- Devin & Eduardo were great, dope vibes & fast service Ambience- Seems super fancy but very comfortable, esp at the bar... Loving the marble top The view from the front patio is perfect for sunset 10/10
google avatar

Stephanie E.

Yelp
First time trying the restaurant and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Seafood Pasta and it was amazing. There are lots of places that say they put Alfredo on their pasta and don't. Seaside did that and so much more. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Patty S.

Yelp
The good? The location and having a roof top for us out of towner guests The drinks are ok at best - pretty watered down and we asked our waitress what happened to our food order after 35-40 minutes, the waitress's answer " I must've forgot to place your order " cool as cucumber
google avatar

Regina L.

Yelp
Summer night and sunsets are the vibe here. Food ok, service too, but you are paying for the amazing view. Friendly staff, clean restrooms and appetizers. The kids ordered the burgers great, but you're paying over $15 each, rib eye was a great price, but should've ordered it medium rare as it was tough at medium. Free refills and kids menu too! Next time more beverages and desserts. Watch out for birds!
google avatar

Lejla I.

Yelp
I love pizzas here, however today I tried the brunch menu and avocado toast was not what I would except it to be. Just cut up chunks of avocado on a thin layer of bread. Don't get that, lol. Everything else is pretty good service is fast!
google avatar

Michelle C.

Yelp
Food was really good. View from the rooftop was great. View of the beach and ocean. Staff was attentive and kind. Would definitely recommend if you are on the Santa Monica pier looking for a casual sit down place to dine. We were there with our teenagers but there were also couples there and others who had young children.
google avatar

Stephanie N.

Yelp
The staff were so friendly and I really wanted to like this place more. Unfortunately the food was not the greatest. My fish was over fried and very tough and hard on the outside and dry on the inside. The mango cart by Golden Road draft was amazing though!! The rest of my party's food was very lacklustre as well. Limpy pizza and soggy bun for the burger :( I probably would not venture here for food again but drinks are decent.

Sheri C.

Yelp
We had the Lobster BLT, the Fish and Chips and the Mexican Shrimp Cocktail. LBLT was yummy except the tomato was bland, it was watery soggy and messy. The fries were hot and crispy The coleslaw was mediocre. Fish and chips were 5/10 per my aficionado husband. So so. The Mexican shrimp cocktail was mostly soupy salsa. Tasty but watery and needed shrimp. Blood orange margaritas were ok. Service was good. Ambience-we sat at the rooftop and had beautiful views of the Santa Monica mountains and the ocean as well as the hordes of people on the Santa Monica pier. We would come back and try other entrees.

Yelp
My first ever review on Yelp.....this experience was bad enough I had to give it a review to prevent further experiences like mines. For a Friday evening not many customers. There were people on the roof top to make it look like it was busy and popular. Once inside, dozens of empty tables - red flag. Ordered a ribeye steak with beans and fries. Ribeye was sub-par. Ordered as medium rare got medium well. Beans were out of a can and fries were undercooked and still white with nothing memorable for seasoning. Asked for steak sauce and a side of ranch. That came out as I was 80% done with my meal. Waiter gave me the "oh crap" look when he realized he forgot. I'd be more forgiving if it was actually a busy place - it was dead. Don't eat here....the other places on the pier can't be worse.

Yelp
Here now on this rainy day. My friend is in town and wanted to see the Santa Monica Pier! It was nice to see her enjoying herself. She wanted some lobster and this is the only place that had lobster on their menu. I ordered the calamari and she ordered the LobsterBLT without the B. She said it's good. For me the calamari is good and the fries are seasoned well with the old bay it tastes like. The service is great with Eddie being very accommodating. There's only a couple of people here and that's great for me. The view of the pier is great and the inside feels like an on the pier seafood restaurant. Normal vibes for me.

Yelp
I went to Los Angeles for my birthday and I had a great time at this restaurant. I was looking for a rooftop by the beach with great service and delicious cocktails. I'm glad that I found everything there. Maria was my server and she provided one of the best service that I've had so far. She is just amazing! She recommended everything that I ordered there. I was with my boyfriend and we started with cocktails. The view from the rooftop is incredible. If you are a traveler that enjoy to take time at beautiful places like me, this is your place. I was having an amazing time at that rooftop. For cocktails, we had and I highly recommend their three rum colada, high tide tiki, and strawberry margarita. Three rum colada is the best. It is served in a freshly-cut pineapple. So beautiful and tasteful. For appetizers, we tried their coconut shrimp and crab cakes. Both were pretty good, but my fav was the coconut shrimp. For their seafood menu, we had salmon and fish tacos. I am a seafood lover and I always order salmon when I'm by the beach. But, their fish tacos was much better. You have to try it as well. Fresh and super delicious. We finished with a shot of Don Julio and a slice of chocolate cake. That's the best way to end a meal :) I want to come back as soon as possible. I love Santa Monica and I wish I could be there right now.

Yelp
We stopped here for Sunday brunch while vacationing from Gilroy. The manager Jose took our order and served us since the other servers were busy. He was very kind and even took the time to listen to us seniors talk about the old days growing up in L.A. county. Our food was good. 2 burritos, 2 hash browns, a coffee and orange juice was reasonably priced at $26 bucks!

Yelp
I love the outdoor seating of the place. Our Server Eduardo was friendly and prompt. The food was good and it did satisfy our hunger. I really liked the dishes we ordered. Nothing fancy but it had more of a homey taste to it.

Yelp
Came here for a bite while on the pier. Atmosphere is cute and the food was good. Service was pretty quick as well, recommend stopping here for a quick bite!

Yelp
The seafood pasta and burger were excellent. We think the lobster rolls could be more flavorful. The service was just ok. I found myself having to walk around to find a server or someone to help me get the things I need. By the time the server came to check on us, we already got everything we needed. One thing to note is the women's bathroom was SO DIRTY. There were no paper towels whatsoever and no seat covers in one of the rooms. Soap dispensers were also broken. I had to use napkins from outside to wipe my hands. The cleaning crew had to clean better. If we come back to Santa Monica Pier next time, we would not come to this place again.

Yelp
Sorry but...this place is kinda booboo. The wait was around 45 mins so i was already becoming impatient. The food tasted really bland and lacked alot of flavor, i went with a safe option and got a salad and happened to stumble across a full on LINT BALL in my food as well as a LIPSTICK STAIN!!!! on my water cup...!! and my poor fathers fish was completely overcooked...! The overall setting is chill, its breezy and the view of Santa Monica beach is pretty, there were a lot of flys which was a turn off as well. Wouldn't recommend and will not be coming back here...sorry!
