We arrived here for an early dinner, mostly because we're getting to that age where we just want dinner and don't want to put up with other people's B.S. when we're out. We chose this Seasons 52 because we had been once before and everything went well so we thought we'd give it another go since we were in the area.
First, before the review, yes, I know it's a big box, chain restaurant, yes, I know it probably has a gajillion reviews but frankly, I don't care, I'm putting in my two cents...because the internet let's me regardless of what you think. (directed at boomers and millenials)
Now, like I said we arrived early, around 4pm, and of course, as is the whole freaking point to early dinner, we were greeted and seated immediately by warm, friendly hostesses who hadn't yet been tarnished by the inevitable, steady stream of weekend diners. We were whisked off to a table of our choice, not theirs, where within minutes a quite amiable server person was at our table taking drink orders and getting us set up for dinner.
We've only ever been to this one location of Seasons 52 and I have to say it meets all of our expectations for cleanliness, odor (or lack of) and general upkeep. Even the bathroom was clean, fresh, well stocked and barely looked used. (another perk of early dinner)
Our drinks arrived so fast that I can only guess that, because we were here before the normal dinner rush, our bartender had sensed our drink needs upon our entering the front door. (Quick drinks for early dinner attendees is a must by the way. If they don't get out to your table soon enough then you'll most likely become a casualty of what I call "The Horde" or, all the drink orders that flood in when dinner crowd arrives. The whole point of coming to an early dinner will be lost if The Horde overtakes your early advantage)
Anyway, the bar keep this night was right on top of it and that made us smile.
Ordering went very smoothly as our waitress (or whatever they want to be called) knew everything about everything that needed to be known or might need to be know about the menu. She even went over the dessert tray before we ordered because, well...we need to know dessert options before we decide that we'll actually be dining at your establishment. Dessert is not an option, it will happen, either at your place or somebody else's. Anyhoo, she was very good at her job and I hope she gets paid accordingly. LOL...she probably doesn't but I'm a good tipper and I like rewarding people who put in so much effort that it seems...well...effortless.
We ordered some stuff off of their menu including an appetizer, two entrees and a side of the street corn. All food came to the table in decent time (again, early dinner, it's pure genious) and as ordered, except for the filet was a tad over done but it was still rare enough not to put a damper on things. We didn't send it back or anything and it still melted in our mouths. ( yes, I get to taste hers and she gets to taste mine. We're married, it's part of the unspoken agreement section of the vows)
By the time we were done eating the place was just starting to get busy and, even though the waitress had already fulfilled her duty to run through the dessert presentation, we had forgotten some of the options so she ran through the whole thing again, little flashlight illuminating each confection as she explained each one. What a dear!
So, we finished eating (oh, and she delivered to us two really well made cappucinos!) and paid the bill and got the hell out of there as bodies started piling up at the hostess stand. The time was 4:55.
Boom!...and that's why an "Early Dinner".
We will definitely come here again.
