Last night, we took our daughter, Kaitlyn, out to Seasons 52 for her birthday dinner!
I finished up my H Pylori treatment the night of her birthday, and was feeling pretty miserable. I was just grateful to get her presents and decorations done. I was so grateful when Kaitlyn's friend knocked on the door and asked to play. Kaitlyn was excited to play and push dinner back a night.
My doctor advised to eliminate all milk/whey/casein from my intake due to how inflammed my body was, so I shared this and my shellfish allergy with our waiter, Zach. I also shared how I felt embarrassed asking for the accommodations.
Zach shared not to feel embarrassed, and that everyone at Seasons52 prides themselves on the purpose they have within their restaurant. We noticed this as soon as we were greeted by the hostess. He shared they accommodate all food allergies and sensitivities. Their food is whole, organic, fresh, and clean. I was impressed that they had an entirely separate, full, front and back menu for differing allergies and sensitivities. He also shared they could modify the main menu to accommodate. He shared he has been doing this work for nearly 6 years, trains others as new locations open (including out-of-state), and plans to move up to a managerial role when available. Zach is kind, intelligent, and empathetic. He even shared his brother has lactose intolerance, but will suffer a bit to have dairy. I told him that I tried that with the use of digestive enzymes, and ended up with H Pylori, which looking back at my symptoms, I believe I had for at least 6 months and it just got to the point where it too bad to write off as just lactose intolerance. Tim asked Zach when he worked, because we plan to return for my birthday, and he told us his schedule. He shared he won't be here end of September because he is training at a new location in Florida. Zach most definitely deserves a promotion to management. He was wonderful in every way.
After eating, Jack shared it was the first time eating out that his stomach did not hurt. We all left feeling full and satisfied. They even had a dairy-free dessert that was dense and delicious, which I shared with Tim. Tim was so impressed he was talking about his food and our experience this morning, and he is not easy to impress when it comes to restaurants and food.
Hands down, this was the best overall dining experience and my most favorite restaurant to date.
Kaitlyn's birthday dinner was an all-around success!
