The Best Restaurants to Try in Del Mar, California | Eater San Diego

"At Seasurf, seafood is the star, served in its many glorious ways. Fish tacos, seafood cioppino, poke bowls, grilled salmon, and seafood platters are menu highlights. Pair with a beer from the restaurant’s wide selection of drafts. Seasurf has expanded to add three more locations in Orange County since it first opened more than six years ago in the Beachside Del Mar Plaza. Available from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., happy hour features $1 oysters, ceviche mixto, poke nachos, calamari, and drink specials. (There’s also a happy hour to-go menu, which isn’t very common.)" - Helen I. The food was excellent—especially the cod fillets in the fish and chips, which were boneless and had great texture. Everything was cooked well and tasted fresh, though prices were a bit on the higher side. The fried oysters were a bit small in portion and lightly seasoned—tartar sauce definitely helped bring out the flavor, but they could’ve used a bit more seasoning or substance. Service was friendly and prompt. The only downside was the booth seating, which felt a bit sticky and could’ve used a more thorough cleaning. Atmosphere-wise, it was quiet and relaxed—a solid spot to take someone for a casual lunch.

Went for the Happy Hour. Great food that was inexpensive. Come as you are atmosphere. People were coming in straight from the beach. Ordering was easy and we got our food pretty quick.

Google
The restaurant served some delicious food, but there were no directions on ordering food before table seating was assigned. This was very confusing. We had fish tacos, cioppino, peeled shrimp, oysters, clam chowder, and chicken wings. All the dishes were delicious.

Google
What a hidden gem in Del Mar. My wife and I were visiting San Diego from out of state and happened to hear about Seasurf from a travel vlog. I’m so happy we made the choice to drive up and try it out. We both enjoy a good fish taco and Seasurf didn’t disappoint. The food was great and the service was excellent as well. Also, they have great Taco Tuesday specials!

Google
It's a neighborhood spot with good fresh seafood. Went there during happy hour 4-6 pm. The food was delicious and fresh. The tempura shrimp 🍤 is to die for. I also had the catfish and fries with coleslaw. That coleslaw was the yummiest I've ever had. If you visit, you must try their coleslaw. If I'm ever in that area, this is a spot I will revisit.

My friend and I happened to be in the the strip mall, that Seasurf Fish Co. was located. On my list of places to try while in Del Mar, it was perfect timing, a little before 12 PM, before the lunch crowd came rushed in. We sat at the bar. The atmosphere was very laid back, a combo seafood market store and restaurant. Tall ceilings, indoor and patio seating. When you enter, you order at the cash register, you are handed a number to place wherever you choose to sit and your food and drinks get delivered to your table. The service was excellent. We ordered a couple beers followed by a dozen oysters on the half shell, a cup of Small Fisherman's Wharf Chowder and Crispy Calamari. All the food was delicious, the oyster, fresh. We will definitely be back on our next visit for lunch. To note: by the time we left, the place was filled with the lunchtime crowd, only a couple tables open. Atmosphere: laid back vibe, indoor and patio seating. Service: excellent. Food: excellent.

Google
This seafood restaurant had an astonishing happy hour. There were a few great items in the happy hour menu with a great price. We ordered happy hour’s classic fish taco, raw oysters, and poke nacho. Their salmon and oysters tasted fresh with decent sauce. We also got their signature poke bowl and fried catfish and fries. The poke bowl was decent with seaweeds and scallops. The catfish impressed me with juicy and crispy fish. The fries were also amazing with salt and sugar. Their service was friendly and fast. Vinegar and ketchup sauce were unlimited. The gentleman gave us some fish samples while deciding poke bowl proteins. Their dining room could have limited seats, but had a great bar and a few screens for games. Really enjoy their catfish, poke bowl and great vibe.

Google
This place really surprised me. After a weekend of decent food in SD, but nothing that wowed me, I had to try one last place on the way home. This place is pretty casual and prices to match. Wasn’t expecting too much from their ciopino because of the price, but flavors were there. Didn’t have crab, which is likely why the price point was where it was, but other seafood was fresh and tasty. The only complaint was packing, as I took it to go. They include rice, which they pack together. After a couple of hours, much of the soup was soaked up by the rice. Clam chowder and poke were really good too. Would really like to go back during happy hour and try the food there while it’s fresh. Great hot sauce selection too! Service was top notch as well.

Yelp
Fresh food, great vibes, & prices are very reasonable! Service is great - you order at the register and food is brought out to your table with your assigned number. Tables are quickly turned over and comfortable seating for guests.

Yelp
After some heavy dinners of Asian buffet and then bbq, we wanted to have a lighter lunch before leaving San Diego. Fish tacos sounded good. Found Seasurf and was near where we were staying. I had the fish tacos which were solid. The Mrs. had the fried catfish and I got to try a piece. Very good without the muddy taste that catfish often has. The youngest has the ahi poke bowl which he said was good. I tried a couple of pieces of poke and it tasted fresh. Informal service. Order at counter, grab a number and they bring out the food. Self serve on the drinks as well. Pricing was fine. Good food and worth a quick stop if you are looking for a quick bite if near UCSD.

Yelp
The chicken fried sandwich was good. It wasn't soggy despite the slaw. Slaw was yummy, more of an Asian salad type of variant than the traditional creamy slaw. The fajita egg cracker was good but could have been better. The shrimp for the bowl was stuck to the shell. Not a fan of the clam chowder. It didn't taste fresh and had too much potatoes. Dogs are allowed in the patio seating area. The cashier had a chill attitude, was friendly and informative. 2/10/25 around noon.

Yelp
- tucked in a spacious plaza with plenty of parking - order and pay at the counter, they hand you a number and you find your own table! food: - large portions, very shareable, great sauces come with each dish we got and there's more sauces to grab at the counter! (1) chimichurri street corn and quinoa (chimichurri garlic shrimp as protein) - really substantial bowl topped with corn, sweet potato, cauliflower, and choice of protein - comes with a yogurty dressing (2) beer battered fish and chips - wish the pieces were bigger but fish was fresh, flaky, and not overpowered by too much batter! - came with lots of crispy fries perfect for trying all the sauces (3) avocado shrimp tacos - 2 flour tortilla tacos loaded with veggies, avocado, and shrimp - also came with the best tortilla chips i've ever had, beans, salsa, and salsa verde

Yelp
A casual spot to have some great seafood, this is definitely a hidden gem in San Diego. The best part about this place is definitely their happy hour, but they're also known for their regular menu and their delicious beers! I love coming here for their oysters. So fresh and perfectly salty. I also highly recommend the pokey nachos for happy hour, as well as the fish tacos, which are battered to perfection and paired with a fresh green salsa. Service is quick and they're always friendly! They have both indoor and outdoor seating which makes the restaurant feel nice and open. It was hard not to gate keep this place, but just had to share it!

Yelp
This was our first time here and we were super impressed with the service and quality of the food. It truly tastes farm or should I say ocean to table. The cajun salmon Caesar is a nice spin on the traditional and very fresh. We took advantage of fish taco Tuesday also. What a treat this was!
google avatar

Yelp
I love the poke here. Such good quality! I got the original poke again and I tasted butter on the rice and man that just brought it to a new level. I ate that whole bowl up. Service was amicable and quick! Heaters are available for outdoor seating.

Yelp
Still an amazing happy hour every day. Nice service, great $5 craft beer selection. Wonderful $1 Blue Point Chesapeake oysters. Ginger garlic wings were a bit sticky and oily...Lemon Pepper next time. Fish tacos were good, but I prefer $1.29 El Pueblo version.
google avatar

Yelp
It's not the best seafood, but the affordability and the quality work for me. I like the poke bowls here.

Yelp
Delicious and fresh! Order at the counter and find a spot to sit. Food arrives hot or cold, depending on what you order. Service is effective and friendly. Restaurant has indoor and outdoor covered seating. Baja chowder was well seasoned and tasty; beer battered fish was hot and crispy; aloha salad was generous and filling with nicely seasoned ahi.

Yelp
Friendly and fast service! The card system is a bit different than I'm used to, if you hit the x for the tip-- there is always the tip jar right above in a cylindrical bucket. After you order and pay at the counter, they give you a number stand and you take it to whichever table you wish. I came at 3pm and it was pretty empty on a Thursday. They didn't have the heaters on outside, I think that they do it around 4-5 pm! The tables are clean and the sauces station is well organized. I got CHIPS & GUAC. The chips were freshly fried so they were nice and hot. The guac was beautifully decorated with pico de gallo and corn. My favorite. I also ordered 2 CAJUN SALMON TACOS and they were delightful! If there's something I like --it's blackening seasoning on fish! So good. It came with corn pico (my fav), pickled onions, cotija cheese, citrus slaw (felt more like sliced cabbage), cucumber crema (very light flavor), and avocado on flour tortillas. Highly recommend for a change of tacos! I think it's better than their battered fish tacos (: Total came out to be $16.16 Highly recommend coming here for lunch!

Yelp
My friends, husband, and I were blown away by Seasurf Fish Co! We ordered a lot of food, but my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the seafood cioppino and it was our most favorite item from the menu. It was a pretty large plate, and it was very much worth $18. We cleaned up the seafood cioppino pretty well and loved every bite of it. It wasn't salty, and had the perfect amount of seafood, rice, and bread. We also ordered the clam chowder and cornmeal catfish n chips; both were a pretty decent size for us to share as well. This place requires its customers to order food first and then find a table to sit. As far as service, our food came out fast. We came on a Sunday afternoon during lunch and we managed to find a table fast for the 4 of us. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza and had a modern cozy aesthetic. We felt comfortable during lunch and it was a great place to have lunch with our friends visiting from OC. We are definitely coming here again if we want seafood.

Yelp
I saw this spot on IG and it was on my list for a while, so I was glad I finally got the chance to check it out. I took my dad, who's really picky, but he really enjoyed the meal and had nothing bad to say about anything! What we got: - Seafood Cioppino: the portion size was really generous, the quantity of the seafood in the dish itself was also really generous. The stew/sauce that they came in was so flavorful and perfect. I also liked that there was bread and rice to go along with our food. - Poke Nachos: crunchy, yummy, generous portion of seafood as well. My one personal preference is that I felt like the dish was missing something to balance the flavor of seafood and the fried tortilla chips -- maybe ponzu sauce? or something. It was still great without, it's just a me thing though. I love that they had the seaweed salad on top! Set up: - You order at the counter and seat yourself. - Plenty of parking. They are located in a shopping plaza. - There was a lot of indoor and outdoor seating available. I also notice that they have a really good happy hour menu, so I'll definitely will be back!

Yelp
Glad we found this little place while we're visiting a nearby park. I really enjoyed my fish and chips, they were very good and not greasy like some places. The coleslaw was excellent, and I normally don't finish on my coleslaw but I did this time. I think it was good enough that I need to try to deconstruct it at home and figure out something close to it . My dining partner had the barramundi fish with the glazed ginger soy sauce. It was so good, but the sauce was a little spicy in my opinion. He had steamed veggies with his and they were excellent.

Yelp
Haven't been here in a while but took some visiting family to Torrey Pines beach so near by. What a great choice. Pole salad, calamari app, ceviche, fish and chips and Chippino were all amazing. All tasted so fresh. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Favorite seafood restaurant in the Del Mar area. My husband and I always stop here after an afternoon at the beach. Great food and drink options; we come during happy hour to get half priced oysters. The fish tacos, fish and chips, and po'boy sandwiches are delicious and items we frequently alternate between. It's a very laidback setting, great music! Indoor and outdoor patio seating, and during the colder months the outdoor seating has heaters on so you feel like you're inside anyway. Although they can get busy during happy hour, we get our food quickly and everything is delicious.

Yelp
Heard lots of good things about this place's happy hour (3pm-6pm everyday) so had to check it out! My family ordered a lot of dishes to try - we got at least a dozen $1.50 oysters, the poke nachos, ceviche, clam chowder, and a couple things I forgot to take pictures of (fish and chips, calamari). I liked the small oysters most, the larger ones were a bit too briny & less sweet. Poke nachos had a decent amount of seafood (tuna, scallops, crab) for how much you pay. I think I was least impressed by the clam chowder - it was SUPER thick and stuck to the bowl, with not too much inside Service was quick and friendly (patiently waiting for us to finish ordering) and the food came out relatively fast and fresh.
google avatar

Lizvet C.

Yelp
We went for happy hour, and the amount of food you can get is amazing. The fish tacos are $2 each, but are the same fried fish they use in the fish and chips. So great value for the amount. The poke nachos had a little kick to them. The least favorite thing we had, was the fried calamari. It just didn't wow us the way the rest of the items we ordered did. The ceviche was my personal favorite, flavor was full & what you would hope for.

Yelp
Update. Been here 7-8 times over a year. After having dinner tonight and then returning so I could watch the St. Johns vs UConn basketball game, I figured something out: The place was packed this Friday evening. Their happy Hour specials have converted bargain hunters into loyal paying customers who gladly pay full, but fair prices for all kinds of fish dishes that are sourced, prepared, and delivered with INTEGRITY and SKILL. The owner, a very interesting fellow named Jimmy, follows The Golden Rule. He serves customers what he would like to eat and how he would like to be served in a world where big corporate chains are cutting every quality corner hoping that their customers will not notice their inferior product (Dennys - are you listening?). Why in the world this restaurant closes at 8 pm makes no sense. The place is packed with happy customers on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Stay open til 10 pm and cash in on the excellence you've created! Listen to your customers less than your staff. The guy serving at the counter tonight thought that staying open later wouldn't work because "we tried that 8 years ago and it didn't work". Spoken by a young man who just prefers to leave at 8 to salvage what's left of his date night. Anna working the counter tonight was a big breath of fresh air. She proves the point that the biggest element of good service starts with well rounded people skills and an intuitive understanding of The Golden Rule. She was just perfect. Infinitely better than a few slugs Jimmy has trusted in the past as point people at his modest, but very very high quality inexpensive seafood restaurant. Jimmy, please recognize Anna for her excellent service in a meaningful way. The restaurant business is hard and very competitive, but for some reason it attracts a lot of morons who don't have a clue about what they are doing!!! Not Jimmy! He knows what he's doing and it shows with every dish his place serves!!!

Yelp
Seasurf's happy hour menu is incredible. Everytime I find myself in San Diego, Seasurf is always on my list of go-to's. It's rare to find places with these type of deals nowadays. The oysters are $1.50/oyster and they do not disappoint! My favorites are holliewood and blue point since they're on the sweeter side. The kumiai oysters are on the saltier side which is something I don't prefer. From time to time, I do get some shells in my oysters, but I understand you get what you pay for. They also don't just have oysters on their happy hour menu. I've tried their fish tacos and clam chowder fries before which all hit the spot. The service is efficient and all the workers are always helpful. You pay and order prior to getting seated, and water is also self served. Parking: Ample parking in the plaza.
google avatar

Kay T.

Yelp
Food here is so good! Seafood is fresh, portions are generous and the happy hour is amazing! Favorites include the poke nachos, clam chowder, fisherman's catch, and the crispy calamari. Service is quick and friendly. Can't wait to try everything on their menu!
google avatar

Lili T.

Yelp
Loveeee this place!! My brother found this place on social media which prompted us to check it out. Usually we do not have high hopes for social media spots but we were thoroughly surprised by how amazing Seasurf is!!! They're pretty busy on the weekends so plan accordingly!! We got a bunch of food our first visit and since then I've been back several times. My favorite dishes are the poke nachos, the calamari, the garlic parm fries, and the fisherman's catch (garlic butter). The value is fantastic for the portions you're getting and it is absolutely delicious. I will be back again and look forward to when I can stop in for their happy hour!!
google avatar

Yelp
I was hesitant about posting this review for purely selfish reasons...it's one of SD's best kept not so secret secret! The food is delicious and the prices are good!!! BEST happy hour this side of San Diego!!!! Always friendly service too!!!
google avatar

Christina H.

Yelp
Read the reviews and this place surely did not disappoint! I had the aloha poke bowl and just WOW. It is so flavorful, fresh, and beautifully arranged :) I added on all of the extras like ginger, furikake, etc etc but the bowl itself already comes packed full ! They put in a delicious sauce on the side and their famous Sriracha mayo mix. The garlic / onion fries on top are an absolute MUST!!!! I also ordered garlic fries but it was a pick up order and I was almost an hour delayed in getting there so it was a but soggy but absolutely delicious! Would have been heavenly if fresh
google avatar

James K.

Yelp
Love this place! Always greeted with a warm smile and aloha. Came in for an early lunch today as it's been way too long. It's still reeeeally hard for me to deviate from the California Poke bowl. I love it. Maybe next time I'll try something different hahah. Prob not Always great vibes, great people, great food!

Yelp
You order at the counter right when you enter. You're given a number, and then you find a table. We went there right during the lunch rush, and were lucky to find a table. Food: -Cajun Mahi Mahi Sandwich $14.99 (grilled Mahi Mahi, lettuce, caramelized onions, tomato, and tartar sauce on a King's Hawaiian bun): This was the best entree out of the three. -Grilled Jumbo Shrimp $15.99 (garlic butter butterflied shrimp with rice and sautéed vegetables): This was overall good, but the shrimp was a bit overcooked. -Beer Battered Fish n Chips $14.99 (fried Alaskan cod with fries and coleslaw): This was disappointing because the batter was soggy. I would not order it again. In terms of service, I saw two waiters getting coloring pages and crayons for little kids. I felt that was a nice touch. They also cleared the trays quickly, but didn't rush us to leave. The ambiance was casual and family friendly.
google avatar

Julie A.

Yelp
What a tasty spot. I was looking for lunch on our way home and this place had great reviews. There was a line out the door to order. You place an order as you walk in, get a table number and have a seat. There's a big selection of items to eat. And it looked like a large beverage selection as well. The shrimp and chips were yummy. From the looks of the other meals I saw delivered around me, everything looked tasty. We were hoping to get some wings but they're only served during happy hour. The pics posted online looked really good. I'd definitely return if I'm in the area again.
google avatar

Caili C.

Yelp
Ordered the cioppino and baja seafood chowder to go and it was the perfect meal! Loved the tomato based chowder which is a lot lighter and the cioppino was full of seafood. The squid was particularly great and super tender. I do wish there was more broth in the cioppino since the dine-in pictures look more soupy but the flavor was on point.
google avatar

Yelp
I came with some friends before a hike and got the fish tacos which were perfectly crispy, freshly hot, and well balanced with salsa and a shot of lemon juice! It's order and pick up your food at the counter. They have outdoor but covered seating to enjoy the SD sunshine!

Yelp
Good casual seafood joint. Simple interior. Service is a bit goofy but once figured out, fairly efficient. Nice tap list. Food very good at reasonable prices. Kid friendly. A joint worth checking out.

Yelp
After a long day at the zoo, randomly finding this place on yelp & then showing up in perfect timing to find out we made it for happy hour was like icing on the cake! This place was AMAZING, the food, the chill vibes, the solid service, all of it together was simply chefs kiss!! We ordered quite a lot of oysters as well as various dishes from their happy hour menu & we couldn't have been more satisfied!! The tacos were fire, the shrimp tempura, chicken wings, pretty much everything! If there was one thing I'd change it would be the chips with the poke nachos, I prefer wonton chips but it was still very yummy! The braddah helping me out, I think his name was adam? Literally answered every question that I had & was super kind & patient with me! I was never an oyster eater until now and I have this place to thank! We will MOST DEFINITELY be back!
google avatar

Crystal C.

Yelp
I gotta say it's a pretty affordable place and that's the best part, the food is very fresh and super delicious my only complaint is that the restaurant is not very clean the restroom were pretty dirty and the tables were sticky other than that the food is pretty bomb.
google avatar

Myphuong L.

Yelp
This plaza has so much parking available and they have Happy Hour 3-6pm M-F. It's one of those places that you order and pay first before you sit. You grab your table number and they will bring the food to your table. We got there at 5:30 and immediately grabbed a table before ordering just to secure a table as it was getting busy. Then we took turns to go place our orders. We got fish tacos ($2), ginger garlic wings ($6 for 5), poke nachos ($7), southern fried oysters ($6 for 4). I liked everything but the wings. The seasoning wasn't good and you could taste that it was previously frozen then boiled then baked. $2 fish tacos is steal these days. The poke nachos were good but very little poke. They have a huge self serve condiments area. Overall, I would come back for their poke and other entree items.

Yelp
If you've been tirelessly scouring the coast for that perfect fish taco, your quest ends at Seasurf Fish Co in Del Mar. There's no longer a need to venture south of the border for that authentic, mouth-watering experience. Each bite of Seasurf's fish tacos brings a burst of flavor, with warm, soft tortillas enveloping impeccably cooked fish, all drizzled with a sauce that's nothing short of divine. The ambiance elevates the dining experience further - imagine yourself seated comfortably with gentle breezes wafting through open windows, ceiling fans creating a light, airy atmosphere, all while catching the latest sports action on the telly. It's the quintessential setting for indulging in your coastal cravings. But let's not stop at tacos - the clam chowder at Seasurf Fish Co deserves its own round of applause. Far from your average soup, this chowder is rich, creamy, and packed with flavor, making it a standout dish that complements the seafood spread perfectly. Whether you're a local or just passing through Del Mar, missing out on this culinary gem would be a genuine mistake. So, if you're looking to treat your taste buds to some of the finest seafood around, set your sails for Seasurf Fish Co. Trust me, it's a voyage worth making. Service was quick and efficient, and plenty of parking.

Yelp
What a nice find in Del Mar! Nice low key fresh restaurant I got the southern fried oysters and tempura shrimp. Definitely will be back!.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I love coming to Seasurf for their happy hour! We typically sit at the bar and everyone who has helped us has been wonderful. I'd like to give a special shoutout to Walker for always going above and beyond with his quick service and kind personality. Very chill atmosphere. Food is fresh and delicious! Portions are the perfect size. And they have a wonderful selection of wine and beer on happy hour in my opinion!

Yelp
Love coming here for their happy hour, but the line does go out the door at times. They have amazing fresh seafood and $1.50/oysters which I love. Everything here is honestly so yummy and every bite is quite memorable!! Good service and nice casual atmosphere.

Diane C.

Yelp
Great, fresh seafood at terrific prices. Generous portions. No one offers grilled fish tacos at this level in all of South OC. (I love GRILLED, not fried.). Seafood Cioppino is epic.

Yelp
This is an updated review on my takeout experience! I dine-in frequently (and when I lived in Los Angeles, I dined at their location their frequently), but I never thought about taking home the food as a nice treat after a long day at work. The food actually traveled quite well! I ordered the exact same food for take-out that I order for dine-in. I used the Order Online option that is listed on their website. The user interface looks a little bit like a website from the early 2000s, but it gets the job done. And you avoid all the upcharges that come from using the 3rd party food apps. - Calamari ($7.99): This is the only item that did not directly translate from the dine-in experience. The quantity was definitely less for take-out, but it was still delicious and crispy after a 40min commute. -Salmon poke bowl ($12.99): In my opinion, this is still the best value poke bowl in San Diego based on the low price to portion size/quality ratio. The salmon is fresh and tender. The toppings create a perfect flavor profile. I think we clicked way for add-ons when we ordered via the website, because this bowl turned out much more hearty and big than normal. - Fish and chips ($14.99): The crispy batter remained fairly crispy, and the white fish was tender and moist. The fries got steamed a bit but were pretty crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. I remain not a huge fan of the slaw, because it is neither mayo or vinegar-forward; mainly just taste like a pile of cabbage in my opinion. I love their fish and chips so would still order it for takeout, but probably poke bowl is a better option for takeout. Parking: The lot is giant and free, but I guess weekday dinner time is busy for this shopping center because I had to park a bit far from the restaurant. The food was ready to go right when I walked in though!

What a disappointment. We came here, based on the reviews of good prices and good food. But, in the end, only half of that equation proved true. Kids meals are $5. Great! But my kids, who typically love fried fish and shrimp, balked at their dishes. When we sampled them ourselves, it was hard to blame them. The shrimp was chewy/rubbery; the fish was strangely spicy. Meanwhile, my wife liked her poke bowl, and I thought my fish tacos and clam chowder were just ok. They definitely didn't live up to the Yelp hype. (Although, yes, they were reasonably priced.) This is our last meal in SD, before returning home. Sadly, our culinary journey has ended on a whimper.

Yelp
Food was good and great value! We got poke bowls and fish tacos- everything tasted good. The staff is really friendly and accommodating too. There was a slight wait to be seated although normally it's casual- you'd order, get a number, grab a table- but Friday evening was busy and I can totally understand why! Will be back.

Yelp
Came here for takeout today for lunch and could not pick from the menu so picked five different things. The guy inside was friendly and explained things well. Seemed like a very nice vibe in there. The poke nachos were an uh oh. Because as soon as I took a bite, I knew this was now going to be on my cravings list. You know, those dishes you crave and nothing else can complete you until you fulfill that craving? This is one of those things. The chips were great and the ahi poke was fresh. Really enjoyed this. The North Shore garlic shrimp plate and the Kale and Chimichurri Shrimp Salad were phenomenal. The shrimp plate tasted just like Oahu shrimp trucks at their peak. The salad was actually a surprise- pears, chimichurri shrimp, kale, and raspberries put together... how could that be good? But it is. Loved the cornbread croutons in there as well. We ordered classic fish tacos but opened our box to find grilled ones with mango inside. They ended up being my husband's favorite though so still a win win. They were really good and came with black beans on the side and chips. Hope one day we can return and try to fish tacos. The salmon poke bowl I thought was the only thing that felt a bit underwhelming because everything else tasted so fresh and wonderful. Could just be an off-day for the salmon because it didn't taste as fresh but overall the bowl was still good. There are also things on the Happy Hour menu that you can only get during Happy Hour like the lemon pepper wings. I DEFINITELY want to come back here for happy hour. The vibe seems great, seems really chill and casual, and the food was wonderful and the price point is good, especially in this economy.

Yelp
Great Taco Tuesday deal for $2 for a fish tacos. While not the biggest fish tacos, the size is plenty decent for the price and just a couple will get you full. Make sure to add the salsa on top for more flavor. They also have a happy hour deal from 3-6pm daily (really good deal considering the location!) with plenty of options. We went for the poke nachos and were surprised at the portion of fish for $7. The chips are crispy and held up well with the toppings. There were also mini scallops and imitation crab meat mixed in for the added flavor. Service: You order at the counter, and then you find your seat. The food came out quickly. Ambiance: Indoor/outdoor seating available. This is a very casual seafood restaurant located in a plaza with Vons so it's perfect to grab a bite then grocery shop later!

Yelp
I loved it! The Hawaiian poke salad with salmon was SO fresh, huge, and had big fish and dressing portions. The avocado was perfectly ripe. I also got the ceviche and that was so good too! All the flavors were so delightful, and the staff were super quick and friendly throughout. They have a casual vibe and were playing the football game so that was cool. Definitely coming back!

Yelp
White fish burrito with extra crema. The burrito was juicy however the white fish lacked flavor. Nice vibes inside the restaurant. Long wait for to-go orders.

Yelp
Wonderful selection and generous portion! On my recent hiking trip at Torrey Pines State Park, I decided to stop at a local eatery for a quick lunch. I felt really lucky to have found Seasurf Fish, which was a restaurant minutes away from the state park. Located in a strip mall, this restaurant offers casual dining with wide varieties of seafood options in different cuisines. Customers would place their orders at the counters, and the servers will deliver them to your table at ready. Free water station is available on the side. Parking is ample within the strip mall. The menu offers diverse choices from fresh oyster, seafood chowder, tacos, fish and chips, seafood pokes, Southern seafood dishes, and cioppino. They also have taco Tuesday, where tacos are available for a few dollars each. For my lunch, I ordered the clam chowder, assortment of oyster, and tuna pokes. The clam chowder was very flavorful with ample servings of clams and potatoes. The tuna poke tasted fresh, and the serving was large enough for a big lunch. The cost was around $26 with taxes and tips, which was a steal of the quality and volume of food. As for ambiance and service, the restaurant was clean and our food came very quickly. There was a large line at lunch hour, which hinted at the popularity of this place among locals. Overall, it is a wonderful restaurant for seafood lovers!

Yelp
Well, let's see. We got here right at happy hour and it was a line outside. I was okay this might be good! The place was really nice. The line moved quick and it was on. Wifey had the poke bowl and she loved it. And daughter had the mussels with shrimp and corn. Can't remember what it was called. She was in flavor town happiness. Service was good but they forgot a couple of items that we ordered so we had to go back twice I had the beer battered fish and chips... I am the fish and chip king in the family. And that's one thing my family knows I will track down and ordered especially if it's supposed to be hot on the menu. There were a lot of photos posted and great comments on how good they are. Well... I must of had the leftovers because my order was not great. They did not have that great beer batter crunch or taste. They tasted like they had been sitting under a heat lamp, soggy and kind of tough. I was so disappointed. We drove down from Lake Elsinore for the day enjoying the cooler weather. And wifey wanted me to try out this spot because she had been before with some coworkers. And she knew I would love the fish and chips. I won't drive back but if we are in the area again I might give it a second chance, plus I'd like to try the clam chowder. But we will see. M&M
