Sea-Tac Scores Sunset Fried Chicken and Skillet | Eater Seattle

"A locally focused concept called Seattle Beer Union is on the list, which I read as an effort to highlight regional beer and local focus within the airport’s offerings." - Megan Hill

Google
Nice spot to stop in and have a drink while visiting the Pike Place Market. Kind bartender, lots of beer/cider/wine options. I went with a raspberry rhubarb cider - would recommend!

Trenton L.

Google
Excellent service! Great spot with plenty of space to hang out and meet friends. I had a great time visiting and tasting the different drinks on tap.

Kaitlyn M.

Google
Great little brewery with a good mix of beers and ciders on tap. Enjoyed the hospitality and customer service. Good stop after a bowl of clam chowder.

Jack S.

Google
Always a favorite of mine, albeit i live and work in Pike Place Market. No food other than snacks, but you are permitted to bring in to-go, so really no problem! The beers are ALL PNW regional, and remarkably well-curated. And, a plus to wheelchair visitors (I am one) the insurance bureaucracy of the recent electrical fire has finally been cracked, and bathrooms on both levels are once again operational. Huzzah! And, I am now enjoying the possible last nitro keg of Boundary Bay Stout since they are retiring and closing their doors permanently.

Google
Great selection of beers. For me it was the dirty couch rainbow goddess hazy ipa. Whenever I'm in Seattle again, I will visit this place.

Justin Z.

Google
Offering a collection of beverages made in Washington, Seattle Beer Co. was an accidental find after exiting the overcrowded Public Market area. This conveniently located watering hole caters to all crowds with offerings of all different beer styles (drafts and cans), ciders, some wine, and also N/A beers. There's something for everyone, and Trenton makes sure that every single person is served some quality liquids based upon their tastes. For those unsure of what to order, Trenton asked only one to two questions and nearly nailed exactly what the customer was seeking. That's the type of service that every establishment should aim to achieve to keep people flowing in the doors. I highly advise people to make this a stop when in the Seattle downtown area.

Google
Quick stop on the way to the gum wall! (So many stairs 😅) Grabbed a couple flights from the barkeep, Bo, who was a delight! He gave us some fun tips about the area. The Backwoods Dreamsicle was delish! 13/10 would drink here again!

Jeremy Y.

Google
Chill spot with a great location and more options on tap than I expected. Seating setups were a bit odd, but there was plenty of seating available at least. Would come back next time I'm walking around Pike Place.

Yelp
It is small when you are standing outside but opens up quickly as you step in. Great selection of local beer and cider is available. There are TVs downstairs and a small outdoor patio. Only 3 tables on the patio so don't dilly dally if one is open and weather permits. The service is at the bar top and friendly. Food is limited but I saw some brought in.
google avatar

Peter P.

Yelp
This is a cool little place to have some craft beers in a quiet, dark space. It's a little hard to find, but they put little sandwich board signs out on the street/sidewalk to help you find the place.
google avatar

Becky K.

Yelp
Stopped to grab a drink after walking around one night. Lots of seats downstairs. Bathroom is downstairs and has a code you need to ask for. Hey had soft pretzels for sale but that was it for snacks.
google avatar

Robert D.

Yelp
Options were limited this is more a of a pour house than a brewery. Had some seating at the top and then at the bottom.. I sat at the top to look out into the street. Had one beer it was ok can't even remember what it was. The server was nice nothing wrong there. He was friendly which I appreciate. If you in the area I recommend
google avatar

Ryan E.

Yelp
Nice chill place just down the steps from the gum wall. Some good beer offerings, and the beer tender seemed like a great guy, and good service, but I had the feeling that they could do a few simple things to make this feel less like a "tourist spot". (see pictures)
google avatar

Patrick S.

Yelp
Pretty good beer tasting room on two floors. Good beer. Limited outdoor seating. A bit expensive.
google avatar

Jeff A.

Yelp
Chill place that served, you guessed it, beer! We stopped in and my buddy and I ordered several flights while the girls went shopping at Pikes Market right across the street. The beers were unique in that they were all microbrews. They had just received some new ones in and we happily tried them out. I like lagers, and Hefeweizens as well as IPAs. They had us covered. Amy the bartender was really sweet and helped us out in our selections. I wish I could tell you the names of the brews but alas after several flights I handed my car keys over to be chauffeured home. Great place to meet other tourists!
google avatar

Angela P.

Yelp
I love this brewery! Staff is great, beer and cider are yummy. It gets busy so you have to grab seats quickly.
google avatar

Monica P.

Yelp
Very laid back bar with consistently great beer and awesome service. The location makes it a must as you stroll around Seattle, p
google avatar

Katie N.

Yelp
I didn't realize that this was more of a taphouse that serves local beer. Large pours. Kinda divey. Decent selection of local beer and cider. I tried a guava sour that was pretty tasty.
google avatar

Ashley S.

Yelp
This was a fun spot to grab some beers. I was definitely a little confused at first because I thought it was a brewery and not just a bar. There were a lot of great options to choose from and the staff were super friendly. We grabbed a flight to try some different ones and enjoyed the ambiance. Definitely worth a stop if you are looking to try some new craft brews. It was easy to find, had lots of seating and was just a great experience overall.
google avatar

Yelp
Would give 10 stars if I could! Great local spot, except I'm not a local and come from farther just because of the welcoming service, stellar vibes, and excellent music (all records!). Fantastic fridge selection of brews to go, and awesome rotating taps. Sean is super friendly, and they seem to have some great weekly events. Love the local artist murals, and that it's dog friendly. Be back soon!
google avatar

Julie S.

Yelp
Lots of rotating options here. Go with a flight and taste a few of the unknowns. There are only two tables on the street level; great for people watching if you snag one! Downstairs has a more private, cozy feel for gatherings or date vibes.
google avatar

Ryan J.

Yelp
Nice tap room in Seattle. Small place off the street with 2 levels for sitting. Had the Apple Cobbler Cider. Delicious. Turned out to be a nice day to be walking around trying local beers. Cheers.
google avatar

Haley P.

Yelp
Good selection of beers and ciders, I think they had a couple wines too. There was plenty of seating available for small and medium size groups. They did have one big table that could probably accommodate a larger group too. There were a few table top games available and it looked like they let you bring in food since they don't serve anything besides pretzels (which were sold out anyways).

Tom F.

Yelp
Average bar serving others breweries beers. I prefer to go to the breweries however this sufficed for one beer.
google avatar

Gigi B.

Yelp
The beer is really good. The rotating beers are amazing. Ashley is an amazing server! She is so knowledgeable and gives great recommendations. I really love coming here for a quick drink.
google avatar

Steve L.

Yelp
Great little place we found while walking the water front. The bartender was knowledgeable of all the beers. I selected the High 5 Hefe. The inside was kinda old mining old brewery vibe. They have a nice selection of beers. They also feature many can beers.
google avatar

Emily L.

Yelp
Great selection and a good spot to take a break when walking around the alley ways. They have two floors and a decent amount of seating. There's just usually so many people here.
google avatar

Karen C.

Yelp
Lots of great beer choices and very helpful staff! This was a really quick stop to grab a quick drink. But, the interior is very inviting and I'd love to go back and hangout longer!
google avatar

Christopher L.

Yelp
Fantastic service and a cool atmosphere! Roaming around The Pike Place Market area and popped into this gem. There is a lot of space for a group it just yourself. Sat at a barrel table and sampled a flight. The beers were cold and refreshing on a rare hot Seattle day! I left the bartender decide what I should have on the sampler and they picked great choices. There are plenty of craft beers on tap to choose from and I don't think you could go wrong with any choice. Overall, love it here and will be back. Note minors are not allowed.
google avatar

Dave S.

Yelp
Really good beer. Strange ambiance. Have to order upstairs and then sit downstairs. No view of the puget sound even though it's very close.
google avatar

Patrick M.

Yelp
Was up in Seattle with my wife to run a Marathon and figured we would look for a place with some local brews. Stopped in Seattle Beer Co and we each did a sample flight. It was $9.50 for 3 6oz pours. Not a terrible deal, but also not giving anything away. The bartender was very nice and personable. Good location, but for out of towners, it was a little hard to find. The beers were all just OK. Nothing was overly memorable or extremely delicious, but none were bad. It seemed as though most people were buying cans of Reinier beer. Maybe that is a hidden gem for Seattle that people crave. I figured if I was at a Beer company, I should be trying their local drafts. However, I now feel like I missed out on this simple can with an "R" on it. If in the area, stop by, have a mug (or a taster) and enjoy!

Pete N.

Yelp
Chill little spot with good beer and friendly staff and clean restroom. Definitely will come back.
google avatar

Nichole R.

Yelp
Simon was super cool and gave us the best tips! Pike market place was cool but closed so early so we want here
google avatar

Claire M.

Yelp
While this isn't a brewery, they have an awesome selection of Washington beers! My husband and I stopped in while visiting Seattle one weekend. The lady behind the bar was super friendly, allowing us to try anything we wanted before committing. Because they have such an expansive menu, I decided to get a flight - I can't remember all of the different beers I got, but I can tell you that they were all delicious! The interior of this spot is also super cool with an upstairs and downstairs and good music. We hung out here for a bit, sipping beer and enjoying the chill vibes. Great spot!
google avatar

Dee Ann L.

Yelp
Awesome Cider and Hefeweisen. Service with a smile and given free tastes to make your choice. Only pretzels and chips for munchies so come thirsty.
google avatar

Yelp
Small shop but with great brews~ Located near waterfront park and pike place so perfect place to stop by in addition to that. We came on Sunday afternoon, there were a handful of people but not too crowded. There are both seating up and downstairs, also a small patio for outdoor seating. Love how this place is affordable, the 3, 6-oz flights are only $9. We both especially loved the strawberry cream ale, had a good strawberry flavor with creamy head. Very chill vibe and super casual, highly recommend checking this place out for any beer lover~
google avatar

Nicole Y.

Yelp
Cool find while walking around Pikes place! Seattle Beer co offers over 20 Washington based beers, ciders and wines. We loved: The selection of beers on tap Cool vibe of the space Convenient location to Pikes Friendly staff We enjoyed our visit here! I'll be back soon for more beers!
google avatar

Meanole M.

Yelp
Our visit to Seattle Beer Co came after a long day at Pike Place Market. We were in need of beers, and this place magically appeared. We headed upstairs to order and got a table downstairs looking out on the market. They also had a few outdoor tables. The bartenders upstairs were so incredibly nice. I wish I'd gotten their names. I loved the dozens of local beers they had on tap. I had a dreamsicle beer, and it really tasted like an old-school dreamsicle. I also had a Sour. Both beers were excellent. The drafts were also relatively inexpensive based on Seattle standards. It's definitely a place I would return to. If you are walking around Pike Place Market for an extended period of time and need some hydration, this is the place to go
google avatar

Lauren T.

Yelp
Cool spot with an upstairs and downstairs. They typically have patio seating but there was no tables out there. Cool vibe, they have music playing and TVs going. The staff is friendly and informative. There is also merchandise if you wanted to buy it. I got the beer flight which comes with three six ounce glasses of beer! The extremely sour beer was the best one. We went for one drink and then headed out because we were the only people in there.
google avatar

Rod H.

Yelp
Great selection of beers, with gluten free options. Kick back and try a beer flight, a must try.
google avatar

Nima P.

Yelp
Great spot with lots of seating. Friendly service. Beer was good. Crucible was my favorite
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in for a quick flight after visiting the Pike's Place market. They have a selection of taps with brews from local breweries (they don't brew their own). We paid $9 for a flight of 3, six ounce glasses. We ordered the Old Schoolhouse blonde ale, 7 Seas pilsner, and the Barrel Mountain ash cloud amber. Unfortunately all of these beers were slightly under carbonated, and less than average representations of their styles. We opted to not order a pint after the samples. I think New Mexico is spoiled with our above average selection of microbreweries.
google avatar

Therese P.

Yelp
The beer was great, and the vibes inside were awesome too. Loved being able to play little board games while enjoying great drinks with great company!

Yelp
This was a random find. We were just kind of wandering around the outskirts of Pike Market, trying to plan the day, when we saw their sign. A quick search later, and we were walking in to place an order. No matter that it wasn't even noon - we were on vacation and determined to enjoy every second of our time in town! The bartender wasn't overly friendly, but we weren't there to make friends. My husband got a pint right away, and of course I went with a flight. It wasn't until I was writing out my flight that we realized Seattle Beer Co. is basically a bar, not a brewery. It was too late for us to leave at that point - hubs had taken a few sips of his beer by then - so I made the best of it. Not that there's anything wrong with bars, mind, but we were on the hunt for local breweries. Sure, they had some local beers on tap, but nothing that was their own. I know this makes me sound like a terrible snob, but when you have your mind set on one thing in particular, it takes the wind out of your sails to discover your assumptions were incorrect. At any rate, we took our beers to the lounge space downstairs, where one other early-drinker was inhabiting a table. We cozied up to the bar that lined the window overlooking the alley behind the building and took our time drinking. I know my husband was planning on two pints while we were there, but the realization that they didn't brew their own beer had him stop at one. We did enjoy what we sampled, but I won't review them here. I don't know what kind of crowd they get during "regular drinking hours", but I did enjoy lounging in the downstairs area. They had some history of beer panels lining the wall in the back, and it was fun to people-watch out the large windows. There's a mural just outside the back door that garnered a steady flow of tourists. Us included.

Yelp
Very cute little multi-level shop in the Pike Place Market area. I like variety, so I tried a flight of beers. The staff made some recommendations based on what I usually like. My favorite that I tried was the pumpkin brew- it really was delicious and seasonal. Their COVID regulations seemed up to par as well and I was comfortable with my visit. They also had outdoor seating available on the lower level
google avatar

D P.

Yelp
Good place, very kind staff and the Orange Creamsicle beer is amazing! I would suggest a flight rather then a single beer. They are all good!

Raul R.

Yelp
Funky place with some tasty beer. Good vibe with friendly staff and local customers. Nice stop on the way up the hill.
google avatar

Brent L.

Yelp
It's located across the street from the Pike's Place Public Market, and is a two story tap room, so depending on how you end up there, you might stumble in at the entrance below street level, or the street level entrance. I stumbled in from below street level and found plenty of seating, but no bar at which to order. Never fear my fellow Yelpers, I can walk you through this. Look for the stairs and head up to street level, and you'll find a small bar to order your draft or canned beers from. They have 12 beers on tap and a couple of dozen canned beers. The sign out front touted "over 50 beers" but it looked more like a couple of dozen to me. This is NOT a brewery, so don't expect any of their own brews. However, they carry mostly local and regional brews, so hats off to them for that. Prices - it's in a major tourist area, so the pints are pricey. I had a Hellbent Triple Berry Wheat for $7.50 and the Elysian Men's Room Red Ale (that one was at least $6 but it might have been more, I don't recall). The place seems like a cool place to hangout. Rustic decor with lots of wood and even wooden table tops propped on top of wooden whiskey barrels. Below street level, they have a small patio that fits about three tables. They sell growlers and also refill them here. It's A-OK, I was just looking for a wider selection of draft beers instead of canned selections. Customer service and friendliness from the tapmaster was spot on though. #Cheers!
google avatar

Danielle T.

Yelp
So we did have to walk up a flight of stairs in order to order our flights at the bar, then back down the flight of stairs so we could sit outside! Maybe there is another entrance upstairs without stairs and we just came in the back way! I loved that the tastings were served on mustaches, Such a clever idea! Beer was okay, nothing stood out on either spectrum of fanatic or bad! Bathrooms do have a pass code so don't forget to ask!
google avatar

Chelsea R.

Yelp
Definitely not the most impressive brewery I've been to, but there were available tables which seemed to be hard to come by in the area on a busy Friday. The beer list didn't have many light options, and I didn't love the sour I got.
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
Great tasting beers. We tried their flight. The bartender had a great sense of humor. The atmosphere was great but it was very stuffy warm... that's why for the 4 stars. They need ac or something better than their fans blowin hot air. We will definitely go back for the tasting beer.
google avatar

David K.

Yelp
A little deceiving because they are called a 'Beer Co' but they don't brew their own beer. They have a good selection of beer on tap. Then they have cans and bottles to go. Lots of tables up and downstairs. Friendly bartenders. Right near pike markets. Cheers!
google avatar

Yoon C.

Yelp
Beer lovers you gotta go check this place out. Especially if you are from out of town. Chill atmosphere. Casual. All of the beers are local. Downstairs has a small outdoor area. Cool history of Seattle and brewing process shown on the wall. Not much to tell you besides having to try it yourself. I'm from California and haven't heard of many beers here so I did the flights. Cheers!
google avatar

Trevor T.

Yelp
The beertender seemed to have a bit of an attitude towards me, but she warmed up when speaking to my girlfriend. Overall, not a bad visit. Be warned, not a brewery. It's a taproom that will get you out of the hustle and bustle of the market when you need it.

Yelp
I really liked this place because they had a great selection of not only beers, but ciders as well. I got a flight of 5 beers and I believe it was $16. The bartender was nice and gave us recommendations on beers he thought we might like. It was pretty empty inside, but they have games downstairs as well as tvs to watch sports games. I enjoyed my experience at Seattle beer co!
google avatar

Brian F.

Yelp
My girlfriend is not a beer person but she was the one who recommended we try some beer while we were in Seattle. Seattle has a lot of local beers and this place has all local beers on tap which was really cool. We also got to watch the end of the Texans Seahawks game which was awesome (great game). We ordered a flight of three beers ($8): Hellbent Amarillo Fresh Hop IPA, Rambling Route Cider, Odins Strawberry Smash Sour. The Odins was a little bit too sour for me but they were all very good. This place is also next to a wall with a nice floral backdrop which makes for great photo ops.
