Yelp
Seattle Lotus Vegetarian Restaurant is a hidden gem in White Center! We decided to come here because we were looking for something healthy. I am definitely not a vegetarian, but the food was so good that I didn't miss the meat!
This place is kind of in a weird location (nestled between a Little Caesars Pizza and a bikini barista stand), but they have a nice parking lot, which makes things convenient!
One thing that was really surprising was they have a huge cage in the dining room with parrots in it! I've never seen that before but the birds were pretty well behaved and didn't make much noise. I guess it is an alternative to having a fish tank, LOL.
As an appetizer, we ordered #1 Tofu Spring Rolls (lettuce, bean sprouts, basil, chives, and vermicelli noodles wrapped in rice papers and served with peanut sauce). It came with two rolls and they were huge! They tasted fresh and the peanut sauce was delicious.
For our main course, I ordered #21 Special Vermicelli with pork (fake grilled lemongrass pork, bean sprouts, lettuce, and cucumber, topped with ground peanuts and served with veggie "fish" sauce). It was a generous portion and the fake meat was really well done. My husband ordered #19 Combo Rice Noodle Soup (broccoli, carrot, fried tofu, ham, black mushroom, herbs). He mostly picked it because he saw a picture on the menu, but he really enjoyed it.
The table service was pretty basic, but we did get our food quickly. We would definitely come back here and we would probably order the same exact thing!
